oh wow i was seriously teased by an anime scene. o.O hina is mighty.
One of the few episodes where I like Nagi, she's cute. But I'll root for Nishizawa on the race to Hayate's heart from now on :D, she has many disadvantages but she's willing to fight nice and fair. She's cute and funny too.

I think it was good that tensions between Ayumu and Nagi have eased (well, slightly). They could actually get along pretty well if not for that darn Hayate.

Another great development would be turning this thing into a ‘forbidden romance under the nose of the wife’ story. These are pretty interesting. Might even lead into a threesome… oh wait I spend too much time on trivial pursuits. :heh:
Glad they did not change the part from the manga where, Hayate says working hard for Hina's sake.

Lmao.... They actually sing in this episode. YAY!!! Glad they didn't change some part of the manga ^_^. But.... MAN DOES THE HAMSTER GIRL SING BAD XD. Lmao 35 points.. and everyone sings in this episode instead of just Maria,nagi and Hinazawa... too bad its the character singles T.T Next episode.... MORE COSPLAY OF HAYATE. Heres a pic

I thought she was going to sing the 2nd opening song to Kirarin Revolution by that morning masmune girl because she was wearing the dress from the opening song. Too bad they weren't allowed.

I just finished watching the sub, it was a fun episode, the highlight for me were:
Nagi monologue about Hina and Hayate
the karaoke
Only if that fantasy of HayatexHina would come true :heh:
Isumi appearing in the butler network caught me off guard, and is the song that they played her song because it sounded like her voice :heh:
Anyone else catch the Saint seiya reference :heh:
It's so funny how rich people don't know anything about the outside world :heh:
"Get Naked". The Hissatsu Waza book is pretty clear in its words. That, and Ayumu's terrible singing were hilarious. Greatly enjoyed this episode.

Overall I enjoyed this episode, although the lack of Hina is somewhat disturbing (oh well, we get to see an impossible Hayate/Hinagiku future courtesy of Nagi's fantasy :heh: :D ). I also was surprised to see Maria-san cosplaying as The Bride :eek: which gave this EP an instant +100 from me.

Well, at least there was the fantasy kiss scene, worth every second of the show.
I liked episode 19 more but this one was ok :D

IMO due to the nunchacku that would be more a Bruce Lee in Game of Death ref.

Very enjoyable episode, even if it lacked truly brilliant jokes (I mean, most of the jokes were ok, but not among the best of the series and there weren't many that died, which is always a good thing.) Certainly the thing that made this episode so worthwhile was the evolving relationship development, particular between Nagi and Nishizawa, whose rivalry is actually quite endearing (unlike certain other "rivalries" I've seen in anime lately).
Man, Klaus has some of the funniest moments in this sometimes.
Overall, nothing really to complain about in this ep, even if it didn't really have that many jokes or push the plot all that much. Nothing special, just plain enjoyable.

Another episode where I'm torn between Hina (the fantasy scene) and Maria (there's a lot of her this episode). I actually liked this episode; not having a lot of 2-sec. references that I mostly don't get helped a lot lol. XD

Tama's little bit in this ep I thought was just class:p
Maria in the karaoke box was great:love:
and Klaus appearing out of the bookcase was just lol:heh:
and it seems like I've said before Nagi is really growing on me:p

It was enjoyable but too bad there's too little Hina in this episode. Also still no progress for Hayate's Ultimate Attack, but doesn't Hayate falling off the cliff saving Nagi means he completed the Case 2 in the book? (that is, if the book has any meaning...)
Nishizawa has yet again proved to me why I'm her fanboy. Her "never give up" attitude, and her honesty about her feelings towards Hayate that (as yet) none of the other girls have shown him. And she even pays for the drinks & Karaoke, when in the presence of an ultra-rich-girl.

I couldn't agree more.
Nishizawa shined in this episode and that's why this is one of my favorite episodes thus far. It's also nice to know that, if things continue, she'll appear in every episode, so I'll never have to worry about her appearance.
Also, girls who can't sing are cuter. :P

i was just thinking about the sunflower fields, the net, that one hat the middle girl wore, the watermelon, the "let's go catch beetles", that one fly on the tree, and the cicada bg sound...i only saw lamune one time a long time ago so i might be mistaken...btw im referring to time frame around 4 minutes

I am truly convienced that Maria has some type super killer style ultimate move. But its Maria and i love her to death so she do anything as far as im concerned. Does anyone know where i cant pick up a copy of Ultimate moves for dummies? Nagi's fantasy had me laughing out loud. Nagi's such a cute character when she gets all embrassed. The line she gave about playing MMO's and reading manga all summer was typical for her but what she was really thinking was that she could spend all day with Hayate that was just so damn cute, becoming a huge Nagi fan more and more every week
I'm impressed this episode we got an Urusei Yatsura (http://www.furinkan.com/uy/) reference (when Nagi talks about the Mendou family's son being claustrophobic). For a series that went off the air over 20 years ago, it still pops up pretty frequently.
For me Nagi's "isn't rival a word used when your levels are close to equal?" was the funniest line for the episode...poor Nishizawa picked the wrong thing to challenge Nagi on. Although if she picked cooking, I've got to think Nishizawa would win huge...
Maria-san just couldn't get enough of the karaoke box... She's so funny.
Nagi just stole my heart this episode. The hamster name-calling never gets old. BURGLAR HAMSTER! TRESPASSING HAMSTER! ^^;;

Only thing I was sad about is we didn't get her to sing more...sigh...
Oh and if that was isumi's character song its a whole lot different from the other ones they used...very elegant and un-pop like, but I guess that suits isumi doesn't it. :p

Ah, I see. I thought you were referring to the scene right at the beginning with Hayate and the hose. After rewatching the scene, you may be on to something, but it is still a touch too ambiguous to say for certain. It could just be parodying the generic summer setting.

I am thinking in one of the street fighter or third strike. Either that, or it could be somewhere in KOF. It is definintly a fighting move so the sources must come from one of these.

Can't. There was only one copy printed and Nagi torched it.
So who's going to translate the titles of all those books? Xvid isn't good enough for me to make out more than "Maid" written on one of the dekiru (dekiru.impress.co.jp) books.

Maria is adorable when put in an unfamiliar situation. She's usually so calm and confident, but whether it's karaoke or subway trains, she's easily excited.
She needs to sing more. Definitely.

When the narrator says "Next week we'll be fighting against height limit" I thought there would be Hinagiku in there but it doesn't seem that way looking at the preview :rolleyes: ... she's probably still at home completing her next summer assignment :heh:

Can somebody upload some few references in this episode that they censored out? I Just watch this for the first time.
What to do for the summer holidays?
Do as the "Three Stooges" and go bug hunting, bringing along with you your lazy teacher, who surely is spending time indulging with the booze.
OR
Follow Hinagiku's example and be a model student by doing first your homework reports, then saving the fun for the last.
OR
Read a book that will actually stimulate your imagination or instruct you to learn a skill, but not to make you feel intelligent; manga is for your personal enjoyment.
OR
Challenge your rival with a karaoke singing session, but never duel against the rich folks because since childhood they have been provided with singing and musical, particular lessons.
