Fumoffu? Panic? i dont get it...

im a really big noob and i dont get this fumoffu thing? is it the original metal panic or a sequel or something? or what ??? i dont get it? should i watch it without watching metal panic first??or what??

It is basicly the second season of Full Metal Panic! I myself watched Fumoffu first befor watching FMP! and i wasn't that lost since it is a comedy and you don't really nead that much background information. I then baught the DVDs for FMP! since it is licenced. It is a bit different in that it is more of an Action rather than a comedy, though it still has some comedy in it. I would say watch Fumoffu first if you are not willing to spend lots of money on DVDs, and if you like it get FMP! and then watch Fumoffu after it again since it is that good!

With the casual assumption that I made by perusing this board is that:

A. "Full Metal Panic!" is already licensed and the DVDs are released by some company called ADV. (correction requested)

B. They don't put up "torrents" for licensed anime

C. But "Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu" aired in Japan last season and it hasn't been licensed (yet) by any company outside of Japan so there are "torrents" for it.

It has taken to my knowledge that it is a rule that you do not ask on where/how to download licensed anime.
