I cant wait for the ep raw to come out, the scene with raki hugging priscilla was bugging me for a week on where the story would go, that and if miria can "put down" old simba is another good question.

I honestly have to ask what are the people who deide when shows are aired are thinking:frustrated:, claymore seems like a better series than many that have aired recently. And yet they decide to give it the bad airing time so that only big fans will watch it on television, thereby lowering it popularity and in turn making it more difficult to make a second season.:upset: It also makes little since if this show were to become as popular as it deserves both the claymore animation team AND the television station that airs it will see large profit.

I am actually quite happy with that, it means we might actually be going into some of the events of the manga, which would make me quite happy.

Well next week isn't the Invasion of Pieta anymore, its Critical Point which will also be a 2 parter, so it might even stretch over 2 more episodes. 'Cept Raki will likely join the party in these 2 episodes.
Well on the bright side...
If miria gets owned she will forever have a place in our hearts like teresa did(:eyebrow:although probably not as large a place mind you), and she will be remembered forever in my CLAYMORE BUSTER v5.0 avatar:p

So they steched the fight till next week? Well I'll just have to put a few clever remarks on hold then. I guess I'd better refain from trying to figure out just what happens this week until the full synopsis shows up.
My guess on what will happen if Raki and Priscilla meet up with Claire while together.... Awkward silence for at least thirty seconds, then cutting to various charecters like Rubel and Galetea, who are still in the south as they hear a distant echoing "BITCH!!".

That answer would be a spoiler (not really) and is quite debatable, but I would at least say she is above Ligardes, by a good Margin.

Not really trying to flame but yes. In my point of view they are expendable, even Teresa. There will always be number ones and, as long they stay tame...everything`s cool.
Of course I am speaking in an "Organization" point of view. It`s very troublesome to lose profit due to some lovesickness that even ruined the "Organization" publicity. And my mentioning was about Teresa. Iīm just pointing out their reasons.

This episode was just awesome, as always...
I wouldn't have expected Rigardo to be this powerful; except Miria, the other Claymores are totally useless or just acting as decoy (some of them have disappeared, they must have run away during the fight :heh: ).
The most beautiful moment was just to the very end, when Clare, hiding by the snow and the wind, begins to awaken... those eyes are wonderful !!
Concerning Raki, Priscilla seems more and more attached to him... but he finally managed to escape ! :heh:
I just wonder what is going to happen in the next episode, if Raki goes to the battlefield...

I liked this episode a lot more than the last one, especially for the raki storyline. I really wish his voice wouldn't be so shrill as he yells "Clare" which he does all the time. What are isley and priscilla are up to?
Rigard is awesome. They are doing a sweet job animating him. I liked how they showed clare speed up.
where did all the other claymores go? they disappeared??

When I made that spoiler post, I meant it as a reminder regarding future event spoilers not a commentary on raw spoilers. I've read the manga myself and constantly have to be careful what I post in these episode threads and just wanted to make sure others were aware of it too out of courtesy for those that don't read the manga. :)
Basically, I use spoiler tags in this thread if it reveals the events of episode 22, raw or subbed. I believe discussion of either is appropriate as long as it has a spoiler tag. Discussion of future events I save for the manga spoiler thread for anime, so we're in agreement. :p

Indeed, I've been quite impressed so far. I thought his initial assault seemed to lack a bit of zeal, but I think that was due to Raki's storyline being inserted during the fight instead of the animation itself lacking. Can't wait for next week!

Very nice episode. Madhouse really went all out to show off the showdown between Miria and Rigaldo. And the expected clifhanger was also accompanied with fitting suspenseful music.
The only thing which distracted it for me was the bad editing the constant swithing between the Raki scenes and the action scenes broke up the flow of the battle in my opinion.
I don't mind the Raki scenes on its own since they are needed for the anime. However I feel they butchered the flow of the action by constantly switching between the different scenes.
At least with the addition of the Raki scenes it leaves me even as a Manga reader wondering what will happen as of now.

I can somewhat understand their reasoning as they try to show different events happening at the same time. By showing both clare and raki's situations at different times they try to build a certain mood with it. Although I do agree that at some points the battle flow is interrupted:upset: taking from the intensity of the episode.

After previous episode I'm immune to differences to manga and far-fetched ideas, thus I enjoyed 22nd episode very much and rated it 8. Not 9 because of lack of fluency in the fight Riguard vs. Rest of the world. They should have just showed Raki and Priscilla scene in the first minutes and then switch to the battle, that would be best IMO.
I really liked the fact, that Raki abandoned Isley/Easley and Priscilla, heck even stole their horse despite he knew that he's dealing with AB :-).

Interesting episode, will be waiting for final arc of the story. Looks like it is clear where is heading into. Guess my prediction for the ending percentage is getting higher.
Though I wondered if this episode meant to show if all eventual fate of Claymores is going to be the end fate for Claire too.
Can someone please replace Clare in that kissing scence with a better animation? She looks just too creepy! She looks like she was about to eat Raki alive! It doesn't help when Raki has some blood on his face. Apparrently, this only kissing scence in this show is not important to them.
I don't like the fighting scence be cut into pieces to insert flashback, just plain annoying. It takes away the intensity of the show and it is supposed to be intense! It doesn't help when they keep showing Teresa's scence becasue seeing my favorite girl beheaded is too sad.

As Raki sped away, I just loved the way Priscilla was just yanking Isley's leg. Anyone who has been around children will tell you that, that was such a typical reaction for a child. When something happens--which their shyness prevents from speaking up about--they will just pull your leg. Once they have the parent's attention, they will subtlety point in that direction.
That just such a typical child like reaction, that I could not help but be adored by it.

Judging from the story goes, I suspected either Raki will die some dramatic death, much to cheers of people in the forum I think or, survived the whole fight in Pieta lost both Claire and Priscillia in last climatic encounter.
Sounds like how the story is going.
Raki's role with Pricilla was easy. He was the anchor for her Human side... Perhaps her Mind was not stabilize, until meet Raki. He gives her the warmth of Human race... Isley is cold as ice...
Raki is there for emotions... (Looks like they switched the sex... Normal Girls are there for emotions... and the Guys fights over them...)

The others claymores are inside a house sipping tea and keeping warm in front of a fire place, reading a scary story.:p

Priss is so cute. I like her childish reaction.I really don't expect that I will feel like this toward her. :D

Yondy think of it this way, if they had put all of the raki scenens in the front, the episode would have had a dull start, same with the end, this way its like a recipe. First you take a heaping cup full of claymores, mix in some bad kitty:nono:, add 2 tablespoons of good old decapitation, and stir in some raki throughout the mix. Bake and voila you have a claymore episode people have to watch throughout no matter how much they dislike raki;)

I liked Raki in the anime too...and I had nothing against him, until now...
he completely killed the flow of the episode... what's the point of switching back and forth from the fight to Raki every 30 seconds or so? :twitch:
I understand we need Raki to set up the ending, but at least pack his scenes in the first half of the episode, and then let the fight go without annoying breaks ...
Others Claymores hide from battle, and Deneve suggest to Clare does the same.

I thought this episode deserves a 7. It's starting to really deviate from the manga with the Raki scenes, and I hated the horrible scene switching. You could say all the Raki scenes in this episode are purely filler for the non-manga readers who are clueless. The whole point of the Raki scenes was to lengthen the episode for the fight to continue next episode, and it's setting up for some "OMG I'm here Clare!!!" *jumps infront of Clare when she's about to give the final blow to Rigardo*. Yeah, definitely not in the manga and hope it doesn't happen. So this episode sucked, but I loved the "Faster" scene.

I was also thrown off by the frequent changes between battle at Pieta, and the moral agony and cluelessness of Raki. Personally, I'd prefer if they just gave the battle one episode, and Raki/Priscilla/Isley another. The switching back and forth was too jarring

As much as I have defended Raki in the past, this episode basically proved to me that they have no clue what to do with him anymore, they are deviating from the manga, I can understand that, but if your going to do that atleast put some gd effort into it.
Butchering of Raki's character aside, the chopping up of the action was horribly done, even worse then last episodes, and I hated the chopping up of the last episode.
I honestly have no clue where they are going to go with the story, but they are probably going to cut out some of the more awesome scenes later :upset:

I could even go so far as to say that this defense of Raki is irrational too. After all, it takes two people to perpetuate the "culture war," such as it is. My take on the whole debate is: Who cares?
Suffice it to say: I don't think Raki is worth the fuss. Mostly, I just regard the people who want to make a special point of validating him as a person as some adorable breed of human that loves doting over some dog or a cat. Perhaps to the point of marrying it.

Oh well, in my previous post I was frustrated and I blamed Raki, but all things considered the switching back and forth of the scenes is Madhouse's fault, not Raki's :heh:
I have nothing against Raki as a character, I like him expecially in the manga.
Even in this episode, I'm not contesting the script of his scene, I want to see how does it end before judging... what really annoyed me was the timing of his scenes.
I dislike the way they inserted his scenes during the fight, and not just once but several times...
yes, it felt like commercial breaks... they made me lose the thrill of the battle :(
and it's a pity because the fight scene was excellent indeed...
If they had put Raki scenes at the beginning of the episode, would anyone have stopped watching? I don't think so... maybe it would have been a bit more dull, but it wouldn't have been so annoying...
I would have preferred a whole episode dedicated to Raki and Pris, if that means an awesome, ruthless fight without breaks whatsoever...

This episode is prime example of Raki ruining this Anime. Was it really necessary to switch between Raki and Claymores so many times? Could they just show Raki for the first fifteen minutes and show the Claymores for the other five minutes?[1]

[1] Generally 1/2 hour episode is 22.5 minutes of programing and 7.5 minutes of commercials. Generally another 2.5 minutes are used up in opening, ending, preview and recap. That leaves actual story time to be approximately 20 minutes.
[2] Just a conjecture on my part. I don't know how the Anime will end.

Well, see this way. Sometimes in order to make powerful characters look like one or more interesting, you need a foil that reflects just how powerful these people can be. Also, Raki is also a humanistic foil that brings in human element in otherwise robotic demeanor of Claire in the story.
For example, Miyamoto Musashi has his student wannabe, Jotaro who follow him around. Jotaro is annoying but he is also serves as human foil to Musashi reserved character. People felt they can relate better to his insights thanks to Jotaro's point of view on things regarding about Musashi's fear and feelings.
Same goes for Raki - Claire's dynamics. Claire's feeling, capability and weaknesses is seen thru Raki which translated it to viewers/readers. For this, he is quite important in letting viewers/readers understand the character better.
Just my opinion, feel free to flame me. :cool:

I'm with many folks here - Raki is a nuisance only because of the way he's utilized. As Stormy mentioned, he has the potential to act as an effective reflection of Clare's humanity. Unfortunately, Madhouse has transformed him into a somewhat sappy Clare devotee who serves more to disrupt the fluidity of the story's climax than to further the personal subtext.

Sad but true... I really like that show (I even read the manga by now because of that) but MH is slowly chipping away on my nerves...
I really don't mind that Raki is somewhat more important then he is in the manga version, but just using him to fill the gaps is a little poor storytelling IMO.
Lets just hope they ceep at least some of the (very good) original manga story at the end...

I was just rewatching the Clare power-up scene again. It's awesome seeing Clare standing there powered up with Rigardo just stunned by the fact he got his arm cut off, then all of a sudden Raki rides in the scene on a horse yelling "CLARE!!!" like it was an emergency broadcast, then it suddenly switches back to Clare... way to interrupt the fight scene Madhouse. You just forgot to abruptly change the music for that Raki scene and it would have made everyone LOL. Anyhow, Defiled One, you will see how she did it when the fog gets cleared away in the next episode.

It's amazing to see how it took literally 20+ episodes for an anime to gain an exceptional reputation and only one episode to crush all that to dust.

I didn't think it was THAT bad. I rather liked it, gave it a 9 for Clare badassery at the end.

No, that wasn't what I was thinking, but I guess, the way you explained it, it does make sense. It's just weird since he's implying that pretty much everyone are sinners since they're too weak to fight. Even so, it's just a weird way of making his points.
Well, the problem isn't being too weak to fight. He's reminding him of his words in episode 21. It basically mean "Don't mouth off if you can't actually do anything".
In ep 22's context, it means, "You said you wanted to protect Clare, but now that the time to step up to the plate has come, you hesitate? Your resolve is this weak?"

It happened to many manga based series before and it happens again. I am around this stuff since the late 80ies and there was not one story that suvived this "transfer" unharmed... I was furious what Oshii did to Ghost in the Shell in exampel (one of the worst cases IMO because I'm a big Shirow fan). It happens again and again and I still can't understand it...

The manga is not done and I think they plan on ending the series with just these 26 episodes, so they need to do something to set up an original ending.
I didn't mean my comment to be what I think of the anime I was quoting the user Markis.Since it's funny to see how we can become fans of an anime series and when that series airs an episode with scenes we do not approve some quickly jump to conclusions and the anime is no longer a good (awesome) anime.
Another example of this is Naruto.

Oh well, in my previous post I was frustrated and I blamed Raki, but all things considered the switching back and forth of the scenes is Madhouse's fault, not Raki's :heh:
I have nothing against Raki as a character, I like him expecially in the manga.
Even in this episode, I'm not contesting the script of his scene, I want to see how does it end before judging... what really annoyed me was the timing of his scenes.
I dislike the way they inserted his scenes during the fight, and not just once but several times...
yes, it felt like commercial breaks... they made me lose the thrill of the battle :(
and it's a pity because the fight scene was excellent indeed...
If they had put Raki scenes at the beginning of the episode, would anyone have stopped watching? I don't think so... maybe it would have been a bit more dull, but it wouldn't have been so annoying...

And he elimanted every single moment where the charakters seamed alittle more human (Motoko getting drunk in exampel). Don't get me wrong, the movie is still a masterpiece, but in terms of charakter presentation and believeability this was a movie about technotrashtalking robots, not humans with cybernetic bodies in a word of dualities... ahhh, never mind, no need to get philosophical now. :D
Back to subject: Shure, they whant to end it, but there is already a good point coming up to end it (for now) and they could have reched it without changing the pace and situations.
At least the last episode is called "Towards the Successors", wich sounds promising for a manga ending.

I don't mind an original anime ending. As a manga reader it gives me a reason to watch and see how things turn out. And since some stuff was changed a lot of manga readers were hoping others events would be altered as well. If the anime followed the manga completely then everyone would be like "Oh yeah, this is the episode where she'll die". Instead even the manga readers were kept in suspense.

I agree. I'm getting a headache with these "intrusive insertions" between Raki and the action sequences...like it was out of control.
Yeah I know what madhouse' intentions are...to make Raki look heroic, I get it. Just stay away from the action.
Truthfully, I;ll bet there are OTHERS who pressed THE FAST FORWARD button on their WMP 11/MKV players JUST TO SKIP THOSE ANNOYING RAKI sequences.
Im not that mad about the changes in the story, because they can still make it right. But the last 2 episodes are dragging those intense manga battles and making it seen like just another shounen. And i read the manga before the anime started and its awesome. I still love Claymore, but the hopes i had for the anime are fading.
The director should be fired.

The other scene I should have mentioned was the one right before she sliced Rigardo's arm off. That would have been sOoooo much more better w/o the Raki horse scene. Christ... completely ruined one of the best scenes in the whole anime and made it like an average, drawn out Shounen fight. I played that scene and skipped right over the Raki/promise flashback, and it was so much cooler. :mad:

Well, nothing really unexpected happen in this episode except Clare and her new legs. Deneve is such a weakling, telling Clare to leave Miria alone and let her fight on her own.
A second season should be possible, or Madhouse will have to find some ways to tie Riful back into the story. She can't possibly just disappear, and the Abyssal of the South hasn't even make a physical appearence yet.

I follow the manga faithfully as well, then I start laughing when I compare scene 58 to episode 22. I don't want to start another manga vs anime thread but this is a textbook case on why NOt to mess with the manga storyline. Scene 58 is so linear in the action scenes and no Raki "insertions".
The Miria being skewered...that scene was excellent though.

Yeah, that scene was one of my major complaints, and this episode is definitely not a 10, 9, or 8 in my book. More like a 7. Clare's power up is the only 10 worthy thing.

arg. I just got done watching this episode. I truly dont know wth they are doing with rakis story line compared to the manga now. Fight scenes were good. Simba was kicking ass till you know who just "hadta" get her last minut powerup.

I may be alone on this; strike i am alone on this, I want Raki to live through this and problably will since he sorta in a way is Clare's support. Most of the time we hear Clare thinking she is thinking about Raki. I don't think they would change the story from the manga and have them meet up jujst to kill him. Right now Clare is on the edge of a cliff the death of Raki in front of here would push her over and i kind of don't want to see Clare eating guts and such.
OMG, that was an exciting (but also excruciating) episode! I think it's taken a different turn compared to the manga!
Clare is changing completely differently for a start!
Oh yes, and I know Priscilla is meant to be cute and sweet and everything, but everytime they feature her (esp. when she's clinging on to Raki) I actually want to throw some rotten tomatoes and extremely hard rocks with deadly accuracy AT priscilla. She really annoys me!
However, on the plus side, Raki is growing on me :)
p/s: The excruciating part is why Raki doesn't just use his sword as one should and bump off Priscilla. Honestly, the man/boy is too kind!

Clare's motive for continued existence is based around her failure to save Teresa (becoming a motive to kill Priscilla) and her refusal to die for the sake of Raki.
Take Raki away, and the story becomes considerably more two dimensional. Raki's participation in the Claymore episodes provides a neat counterbalance to the pure violence otherwise shown.
His presence also allows a viewer to associate themselves with a more believable character; he becomes an anchor for the viewer and draws them further into the Claymore world. I don't know about you, but I feel much more in touch with Raki than Clare. He's fully human for a start.
So yeah.. that's what I think of Raki.

If Raki was a girl, this anime would be 2x better. It would symbolize even more the past relationship between Clare and Teresa, and I would definitely feel for the girl version of Raki riding a horse, calling out to Clare. IT would be so tragic and emotional :p

Clare will be fine. She's the star of the show and Raki is not her life objective anyways. It's getting Pris's head on a silver plate. Raki is just a diversion and a replacement for Teresa in a weird way.
But seriously, I;m getting a migraine from the Raki scenes being cut into the action scenes, which are really unnecessary. IF they inserted the Raki 'angle" at the last 4 minutes like in episode 18, the viewers wouldn't revolt like this.

Agreed, I gave this episode 9/10... the only thing that I had a problem with was how they spread out the Raki scenes like that. It really interrupted the pace that the fight was setting for the episode.

AFAIK, she almost awakened before but Raki prevented it from happening. Technically her right arm (or Irene (sp?)'s arm is awakened :D)

Waitaminute...Raki ISN'T A GIRL? Just kidding. I think it would be better if Raki was female, to continue the mother-daughter relationship that Clare and Teresa had. Why do I have a feeling Teresa's coming back somewhere around scene 100?

Another great episode. The fight between Miria and Rigardo definitely lived up to its billing. I liked the way Deneve, Helen, and Clare fought to protect her. I had hoped we would learn more about Miria's travels and such after the Slashers eps. A fight like this seemed the perfect opportunity to reveal how she got stronger...oh well, not a big thing, but unmet expectations like that can make an otherwise good story seem bad. I must say, Rigardo's comments really gave that battle a life...from recognizing Miria's illusion trick, to stating that she was slowing down, then the final "I guess that wasn't an illusion"...great stuff.
Similar to last episode, I liked the way they interspersed the battle with the other storyline. This is actually an oft-used device that serves to heighten tension. Anime (over)uses it quite often in the manner of flashbacks or characters talking during battles. People unfamiliar with anime actually proclaim this use of flashbacks and talking as "unbelievable" or "jarring". It's simply a stylistic decision. Interesting to see that many anime fans have learned to dislike the more accepted Western(?) device of simply having multiple stories run simultaneously.
Raki asking Easley "Who on earth are you?" was a welcome question, and Easley's response (foreshadowing?) was perfect. The bit about Raki having a choice on traveling with them, and his reluctant acceptance, was full of an awkward tension I really liked.
I must say that I loved Deneve in this episode. Really glad to see she got some quality time, aside from Helen always seeming to steal the show. They really closed out the deep Undine x Deneve interaction with a strong exclamation mark. I wonder what repercussions Deneve will experience because of her feelings of complete helplessness?
While some of the flashbacks were strong, others felt very weak. Deneve's worked very well, even though it was a "mid-battle" one (which too often means mediocre at best). Clare's memory of Theresa was even better. However, the repeat of the last minute of ep 21 right at the start of ep 22 was obvious filler, as was showing Priscilla's "Papa, Mama" twice.
The disappearance of the other Claymores during the battle could have been handled much better IMO...I can suspend my disbelief enough to imagine that they all realized they couldn't contribute. However, just a quick "Retreat or die" message from Miria would have worked better. It seems so easy to just replace one of the many other flashback/extended scenes with that, since they only served to end the episode at the right moment.
Having Raki truly understand that Clare was a breath away from becoming like Priscilla, and see that such a transformation is her eventual fate, was very powerful. It completely changed my view of Clare and the other Claymores (which I didn't realize had shifted so far during the series). Even amidst all the shounen strength and power displayed at the moment, they are now allowed to be tragic figures, and can be pitied once again.
All of the building tension from the scene shifting, along with the emotionally "right on the mark" moments, brought me to the edge of my seat at the end as Clare ran to save Miria. Excellent use of slow motion (a hard thing to do in animation). Powerful music. Completely chilling voice change from Clare. Anxiety and suspense...I really couldn't say if Miria would live or not. An all-around climax that few (if any) scenes have ever equaled in my memory.

I started with the anime. half way through I started in on the manga and kept step in step with the anime not reading past where the anime was. I liked that they were so similar. I like animation more. However, my main draw was the story. I don't think the changes in the story at this episode were a good idea. I sped past all the raki bits. had a friend tell me what the times were on them and deleted them out so I wouldn't have to deal with them disrupting the flow so badly. I really dislike where this is heading and guess I"m now a manga only reader. I have finished the manga up to 73. I kidn of wish they did what hunter x hunter did and just follow the story to a decent place to end and then do ovas as the story came out.
ITs like, well, madhouse is doing claymore fan fiction. It is about the same quality as the majority of fan fiction. The original author always writes it best.
I hope this is not going to turn into some soap opera. "Little Raki is now flying to his big and strong Clare (you know what I mean). Clare becomes insanely strong....somehow, and kill off all her enemies (Priscilla? Easley?). They live happily ever after."
Or, they can do the tragedy cliche. "Clare is killed in the finall battle with Priscilla or Easley (or whoever the big bad guy is) and leaves Raki behind. But the final words of Clare give Raki the strength to live on or for revenge, whatever"

I thought this episode deserves a 7. It's starting to really deviate from the manga with the Raki scenes, and I hated the horrible scene switching. You could say all the Raki scenes in this episode are purely filler for the non-manga readers who are clueless. The whole point of the Raki scenes was to lengthen the episode for the fight to continue next episode, and it's setting up for some "OMG I'm here Clare!!!" *jumps in front of Clare when she's about to give the final blow to Rigardo*. Yeah, definitely not in the manga and hope it doesn't happen. So this episode sucked, but I loved the "Faster" scene.
How do we know this didn't happen in the manga? How do we know what happened with Raki after the last time we saw him in the manga? We don't. It's very possible all of this could be canon.

They can't. The manga is only around the half way point and won't be done for five more years. The writer PUBLISHES one chapter a month! Not one a week but one a month. The anime has already chewed up almost all of the chapters that have been published. Were coming up to a point where they could:
end the series (with thousands things unanswered)
put the series on hold till the writer finishes the series
go off on their own direction (like Full Metal Alchemist)
do a few years of filler
continue the series by getting the plot outline from the writer and do their best to stick to itSo, as to why they change things (in the case of Claymore at least) they have no choice but to change it or end it abruptly.

ya this episode isn't very good. The cut scene's in between makes the battle less intense. I hope they could come up with a good ending because it seems the quality dropped a bit this episode.

My suggestion: find some free or cheap video editing software and edit the eps the way you want them. Heck... go back and edit "in" missing parts. Change the whole thing to be something completely different. Have lots of fun "tweaking" the series

Whew finally caught the sub and got back into the discussion :).
But really was a pretty good episode. Especially if you speed through the Raki bits and just watch them when your finished the episode :heh:. Rigardo's speed is just overwhelming. Poor Miria just couldn't keep up for a very long time. Had a feeling it would go the route of the previous fight with her only keeping up for so long before getting caught which she was here.
Can understand Deneve's message for Clare. At this point Miria is the only one who can keep up with that guy at all. Might be tough but trusting Miria is about all they could do anymore. As we saw Clare and Helen just couldn't do much of anything there. Feel bad for her too feeling terrible about Undine and just laying in that state of self-loathing.
Clare is really going to another level here. If she really awakens this time it could be a serious problem. Right now seems she's as far as one can go without crossing that line and never going back. This is about the only way to go up against this guy though. He's got incredible speed and power isn't exactly lacking.
More importantly on the preview, Jean might be alive people! Where is the excitement :). Too bad we can't have any such hope for Undine or Flora, but if Jean can make it out that'd be something.

I just read through the past 4 pages and had to read through so much "I hate raki" whining And I have to say its kind of sad:sad:, although I would never call myself a "raki fan" I see his importance in the development of the story, all this anti-raki hate is really getting annoying now. Isnt there something else in the episode that we can discuss rather than complain about the bad timing. The animation team will end it the way that they want and there is little any of us can do to stop it(for all we know raki will find out that he is part saiyan and will go SS2 and crush isley;)), you just have to go with the flow.

This episode was painful to watch. This was supposed to be the best fight of the show and they ruin it with Raki being a gigantic faggot filler. What happened to Claymore? Everything from the Teresa arc up to Pieta was amazing.
And it wasn't bad timing. They could've gotten the point across with one short annoying scene instead of interjecting filler and flashbacks every 2 minutes.
