Finished watching it on Nicovideo. I expected it to go further but the end of the episode really got my adrenaline pumping. This arc may last nine episodes instead of my original prediction, eight.

same ol' drill: rather inaccurate, and bullet points
Keiichi and everyone else (with Irie) are with the village council, and they are talking about Satoko. Mion asks him to leave out, as she has something to tell him. outside, the principal and Chie-sensei are waiting for him. Chie asks him if they will go on lobby again and if it will be the last time. the problem is that they can leave the school like this.
Keiichi wonders why there is a grudge for the Houjou while it isn't the dam war anymore. But Mion says it appears it isn't a grudge anymore. Shion agrees. She thinks it is because they need a scapegoat for the incidents.
Mion comments as well that Oryou doesn't know if they should forgive the Houjour or not, but it is deep down rooted in the village. Shion concludes it is about the Curse of Oyashiro-sama. But Rika says Oyashiro-sama doesn't curse Satoko, it is the opposite, as it thinks her cute.
Keiichi decides to go all out, and gets back in the council room, walking without any hesitation to Kimiyoshi and get past to him. Keiichi says that everyone knows about what Satoko is enduring all this time, but yet, no one bothers to help her. The men in the room are turning their head by embarassement, and Kimiyoshi tells him that they already talk enough about this. However, Keiichi goes angry, and asks how it is enough. Kimiyoshi explains it is from the past due the dam war. Keiichi goes KOOL and stomps on the table, saying it isn't related to the dam war, and goes all out.
The men are outraged about his reaction, and Kimiyoshi comments again about the auction. Shion says she knows about it, and begin to cites numerous things, which puts him in a pinch.
Rena and Rika concludes about the auction, which makes runs discussion accross the room, while kimiyoshi is speechless.
Keiichi gives again some speech, and remind them about the Hinamizawa Slogan (if you get hit, 2 people will throw rocks. if they are 2, 4 will come. if they are 1000, the whole village will stand against them), before telling them that Satoko is their comrade, and they want to save her from there, so he is asking them to lend their power to him.
The men in the councelin room agree with him, and stand up.
Kimiyoshi is perturbed and can't help it. Rika comments that kimiyoshi didn't harbored grudge against the houjou either.
Keiichi then thinks the only problem will be the sonozaki. Kimiyoshi asks Mion if it will be alright/how it will go. She says that they will fight against her. Keiichi then asks a favor to Kimiyoshi if he can accompany them when they will confront Oryou, as he will lend his power to them. Kimiyoshi accepts, but is still concerned about it. Rena says it is alright and count on Keiichi.
Rika comments again about how they will go front against fate.
The group with Kimiyoshi and Irie are in seiza in oryou's room. Kimiyoshi did a summary about their request. However, it appears Oryou is completely indifferent about the case. Rika tells her that Satoko is her friend, so she asks help. Oryou says again that it doesn't exactly matter if it is her friend. Keiichi approach a bit, but still stay in seiza. Keiichi is calm and polite, and resume his request. Akane (Mion and Shion's mother) comments the Sonozaki are influencing the whole Shishibone city. Keiichi then wonders about Satoko being left like this. Shion and Keiichi resume their request to Oryou. She then asks "what will you do if i refuse?"
Keiichi then claims Mion will take her place and will do this. (absolutely not sure)
Oryou is angry and says Keiichi is quite preposterous kid. She tells them that child is cursed and all. Keiichi is speechless, and thinks how Oryou is impressive, as he is facing the sonozaki. Then, he has a flashback of Satoko and himself, when he patted her.
Keiichi keeps his humble tone, and puts both hands on the tatami, saying he asks them to save satoko, as she is their comrade/friend. Keiichi is bowing, begging once again, with a very calm manner.
Akane comments about the kejime (disctinction). Rena wonders about this, and despite what oryou says, Rena is able to score a point about Satoko's distinction, turning the tide of the battle in their favour, while oryou is speechless but very annoyed.
It is now akane's husband, to speak his opinion. He comments he heard lots of things of Keiichi, due her daughter. After a little comment about how mion and keiichi, he wonders if Oryou doesn't think it as well. Everyone then bows, resuming the beg to Oryou.
Oryou is really annoyed, agitating her arms, saying she has enough of this, and ask them to leave. Akane apologizes while preparing something to drink for Oryou, saying they will call it an end of the discussion. Keiichi disagree, as it can be left like this, but akane reminds him about the rules. They then leave.
As everyone are waiting outside, Keiichi asks to Mion if everything is fine, but Mion says it doesn't look good. However, Rena says their grandma isn't angry at all.
Kimiyoshi and Akana arrives, and it looks like it is okay now. Akane comments that onibaba was quite impressed by Keiichi, saying she can't shut up this kind of guy. Keiichi celebrates this victory, and thanks them.
As they are walking, Rika wonders if they will break Satoko's fate. Keiichi comments they will, and goes further in his speech about it. Rika reverts to her "kuro mode", and comments how everything is because of him. Keiichi didn't really get what was all about, and "normal rika" asks him to keep it as a secret from everyone.
the agency councelor in the shishibone city departement receives a call. he is then desperate about Hinamizawa case. He then calls another attendant in the agency of Okinomiya, but this one isn't exactly motivated... The councelor is helpeless.
Kimiyoshi is in the school, giving news to Keiichi. It appears the agency declines their request for another talk. however, Shion comments how it is stupid from them, as the village won't have any problem with this. Mion asks what they will do, and Kimiyoshi will arrange the rest. Everyone is set!
Outside of the agency of Shishibone... a HUGE part of the village is sitting, doing the lobby for satoko. Keiichi is amazed and wonders if the whole hinamizawa is there, but Mion correct him, as Okinomiya is fighting as well. Rika comments how Oryou was serious about it. The Councelor is inside, while the windows are covered by the curtains. He comments how the mob is amazingly big, while the other previous attendant is completely helpless and wimpy. Kimiyoshi then picks the megaphone and keeps going in the lobby. The attendant doesn't want to be shown at all.
Outside, Ooishi arrives and has something to tell to keiichi. It appears things don't really look well, and the attendant appears to have called the police. Keiichi is very angry and wants to get that man. Mion comments about the pressure, and Keiichi agrees, but Rena doesn't agree, and won't be good for Satoko somehow. Rika agrees with her. Keiichi wonders how long they will have to wait.
Teppei received another phone call, being annoyed and claiming Satoko is still having a cold. He cut it off, while Satoko is lying on the ground, breathing heavely and painfully.
Teppei takes advantage of this and goes towards Satoshi's sealed room. He isn't able to open it, and tries to force it. But quickly, he realizes that Satoko is there, walking terribly, asking him to not enter in her nii-nii rooms. Teppei says he knows the bank thing is in the room, but Satoko doesn't know what he is talking about and begs him that she must protect nii-nii's room until he comes back.
Teppei loses his temper and slams her to the wall, yalling her to shut up. Satoko begins to cry, asking help from satoshi. This doesn't improve Teppei's mood, as he groans and orders her to shut up, treating her as a idiot/moron, and kicking her again.
Outside of the agency, a car arrives and it is Mion's uncle, Geiin Sonozaki. The councelor recognizes him, and the attendant tries to flee. They receive a phone call of the director. The later is with Oryou and Akane. Oryou apologizes for the trouble, but he doesn't mind at all.
Both councelor and attendant are outside, and are listening to them, wimily.
They are calling Satoko's house, and keiichi asks her to wait for them. However, Satoko is still with teppei, completely covered by nasty bruises...I'm impressed they again take their time, and the build up is very interesting, and not rushed, giving lot of insight about the Sonozaki stance, and how complicated the situation was. It appears it is much more corrupted that one might think.
Much like Marthx said, the end pump the adrenaline, and seriously, Teppei will most likely pay for what he is doing. (if only the sonozaki could just teach him a lessons personally...)
Again, K is really amazing, and even facing DA tsundere of this series :heh:
I'm really satisfied how the plot is really focusing on the real aspect and details of Satoko's case, which was usually hopeless, because of TONS CRAP of reasons and issues.
It will go VERY emotional next week... geh... at least, 3 episodes required for Minagoroshi!

well thats a good thing then^^ Least Deen is properly spacing out the arc trying to get all important details in (I approve, last season moved to quick and points were missed^^)
I havn't seen yet (waiting on subs like always which should come Sat night early Sun) I've been impressed so far and by the sounds of it this one doesn't disappoint either^^

The raw is out. (only 3 minutes ago so... don't expect a bullet speed :heh:)
I really enjoyed the scene where Keiichi convinced Oryō to side with Satoko. It's like things are moving in exactly the opposite direction as Meakashi-hen.
Awesome ep.

ouch, satoko is not having a great time.
i wish they would hurry it up!!
i wanna see the massacre (?) at the end!!!!
all in all good episode.
i agree, at the rate these eps are going, we should see a great storyline

Grr, I wanna see how they are gunna finish this arc up already :o
Seems a lot of people feel the arc is dragging because they're use to season one flying through everything. If everything was properly paced in the first season then they wouldn't be feeling this. I can't wait to see ______ either but I'm enjoying the deal with Satoko's uncle. The wait is painful for those who know what's ahead :heh:
Another good epsiode, nice spot to end the epsiode. Keiichi vs Tsudere Baba scene was well done, but vs Kimiyoshi scene was definitely rushed. The result is that Dr.Iri's part is cut, and Shion rushed things for everyone. Not very important, but it would've been better to see that Keiichi's struggle to get everyone in the village to work with him to be longer and harder. So that when next epsiode comes, the famous scene will have more impact.
The way things are going, this arc should end in about 3 epsiodes (hopefully 3-4, I don't really care that much for Matsuribayashi-hen :heh:), and we'll see what the true meaning behind Minagoroshi is.

what did they actually skip with irie in fact?

I can't rememeber what he said exactly, but I do rememeber that Irie had more of a say in both Kimiyoshi and Oni-baba scene.
instead of having Irie just sit there and not do much...:heh:
haha... very true indeed... I even wondered if his seiyuu muttered anything in this episode :heh:
at least, it is good they show him as a clear support (especially the clash with TSUNDERE baba XD)
Ho well, at least, they didn't jump with the complete ride with satoko yet.
Well then, i finally managed to finish the upload galore, you know the drill ^^

summary will come out when subs will be available.
The preview for 11 has major spoilers. I'm really surprised they showed that much.

Ouch, painful episode for Satoko.
Still, it's getting more closer the really good stuff.
Zomg, they're showing the Tomitake-Takano scene...

huh huh... not exactly a good idea to have a look at the preview...
no, i'm serious, just don't watch it.
Looks like Minagoroshi might end in 2 episodes instead.
Wow, this episode was lighter than others, but the tension is raising at an alarming speed. I'm guessing next episode things will start to go at a faster pace. The adrenaline is coming.

Edit: its a fake
excellent episode. very plausible show of (positive) emotion by K-kun. I don't really feel it being rushed; the string of events make logical sense and it's not pacing at all compare to what we have for the first season.
There's nothing wrong with episode 11's preview. The function of the preview is supposed to make people intrigued to watch the next episode. So for the audience who have not already learned the game's plot, this preview is really doing fine.
Good chapter, keiichi was brilliant, though I do not like me the preview of the cap 11 for which they advanced important things

OMG, amazing episode! Poor Satoko!! As for the preview...
OMG!!!! Is it really her?! #@%$@#%!!!!!!!!!!! Damn commenters on blogs!! But stil... what's that person doing with that thing!?? OMG!!!!!! And poor Satoko!! I wish the Sonozakis will unleash their wrath on Satoko's uncle. I definitely have NEW respect for onibaba. I need the novels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In this episode, Rika mentions that the worst case scenario is Keiichi never transferring to Hinamizawa at all. She's only seen it once or twice in her hundred-odd years. Did they ever make these Keiichi-less scenarios in the visual novels?
MrZombie
2007-09-08, 03:46
Nope. you never get to see those worlds.
I want to see the world where she tries to survive in the woods.
Rika vs. nature.
Compared to having people delibrately trying to kill her, it'll be a cakewalk.

Wow,that was an awesome episode. Keiichi really impressed me standing up to onibaba. I thought it would take at least 2 episodes to change her mind.
Also Rena and Rika's comments about hoping they're not too late and then Teppei gets a phone call just as he's beating Satoko,it seems in alternate world that's the time where Teppei beats Satoko to death. So she survived one of her bad endings.
Next episode I hope we can see the entire village storm into Teppei's house to get Satoko.

I won't exactly want to start any subs (flame)wars. But the preview isn't only the issue (though not important considering how spoilerish it is... wondering if Hauu~ will still include it) but also the subs themselves. (the Kejime makes almost NO SENSE...)
Hauu .ass file is available (quite late, but very nifty)
as for the "Gar", it means the manly adjective..."the man of the man", pure manliness ^^"
GAR is a slang troll word mean manly, man of the man; strangely this word originate from mistyped word "gay". It was first introduced when FSN14 was aired and a post mistyle I am "gay" for archer to I am "Gar" for archer. The word spread and used widely. etc... to find more info.. just lurk more
found and written by Guina, in Gurren Lagann episode 17 thread (http://forums.animesuki.com/showpost.php?p=1059027&postcount=116) ^^"
Second origin might be the legendary "GaoGaiGar (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=1170)", a very... err "manly?" mecha anime. Popular for the big yells of Tomokazu Seki ^^
it is... ugh.... 4:30AM... 2 hours and half late but...
meh here is the analysis of this episode

This episode had potential for me, but i have to wait for next week to really sink it all in.
I'm still confused as to why the manager did not want anything to do with the committee outside.

Awesome episode. I loved the part where Onibaba told Akane to take care of Keiichi. Probably so Mion could marry him. :heh: Though I like KeiXRena, I have no objections to KeiXMion either.

If there's something that I don't like about the second season - it is the waiting time for the next episode.
Suffice to say, that was another good episode. Once again, it is dialogue heavy, but at least two rules have been broken. The only thing that's left is the festival night...
Anyway, as much as I was already spoiled before, I didn't even dare watching the preview for the next episode. :heh:

Great expositionary episode regarding the Sonozaki/Government politics, and a clear indication at the end that things are definitely ramping up. And I agree; the waiting is AWFUL!!! The first season I was able to watch all at once (three times in two weeks :eyespin: ) but THIS experience is just too much LOL

That episode was so freakin' awesome!
Gotta love K! :D
I wish it didn't end it right there. >.< I hate cliffhangers!
The good thing about Kai is that DEEN is taking their time with the plot. I predict that this shall be longer that Meakashi-hen.
And since I haven't played the game, the suspense kills, let alone waiting for each new episode every week.
Unless it ends next episode, it will be longer than Meakashi. The festival still hasn't started either.

No, i am pretty sure it is the opposite. She was impressed by Keichi and wants him to be safe. Since she doesn't have any real grudges against Satoko, she can now lets things soften without losing face. Very good episode IMHO.
A can't wait to see the next episode, it will be very rewarding for the authentic Jedis who resisted the desire to spoil themselves.

I'm so naive...
His out of town boss, too far away to be afraid of the Sonozaki, had told him to reject pressure from the village. It's more dam war fallout.
Meanwhile the thing I found noted was as close to confirmation as we can get that the Sonozaki, or more accurately the Yakuza family entangled with them killed Rina.
Tension and pressure building and burst of OMFGness should be a big aspect of this show and what I like about it in the first place.
I am probably one of the few who can enjoy/tolerate this awful waiting time despite the anxiety it brings.
I felt nothing watching the preview... I haven't even play the game so I don't really know what's going to come anyway. =_=

I was under the impress that Onibaba wanted him to become Mion's future husband. :heh: Besides, Keiichi would have no trouble become co-leader of the Sonozaki house, especially with his Kool mode. XD
Anyway, are there any TIPS that go with this episode? There's only a few left for Minagoroshi-hen.
At the end of the spoilerish preview when Rika said 'ippei utemiru' what does that mean? I brought it up because I thought she stole Jigoku Shoujo's trademark, then remembering that Enma Ai said 'ippei shintemiru'.

Yeah I agree that Onibaba was more likely impressed with Keiichi. Could be in her plan to have him marry Mion down the road. Just look at what he's accomplished here. He's united the village in an effort to save Satoko. His ability to bring people together and convince them through his words is something that they'd love to have in the family. Besides anyone standing up to her and not just cowering in terror when she looked really pissed is someone you want on your side. Someone that will stand by his friends regardless of the danger.
He's certainly come a long way from the paranoia he fell victim to at the start of the first season. Agree that those scenarios where Keiichi never came there would be the darkest ones. He's got the power and will to break through obstacles and without him Rika would never have a chance.
At any rate I really enjoyed this week. They are building up the story slowly but well which is hard to wait for but well worth what they are putting in here. Besides after seeing all this and that Onibaba ain't such a bad person after all makes me feel bad for what happened to her back when Shion snapped.
Hard to believe things can still go bad after all the breaking of fate we've seen. Actually it's a bit depressing if it can still go bad after all this what chance does the final arc have? Don't have any idea what is going to happen next week, but just can't wait.

as for the "Gar", it means the manly adjective..."the man of the man", pure manliness ^^"

Keiichi shows us his fighting spirit which he is so famous for. I am actually impressed by him a little bit more in this episode. You have to admit if your name has reached the ears of the Sonozakis then you are either in trouble or someone of interest. Keiichi shows us how certain groups keep power. Everyone is so scared of the Sonozakis no one dares oppose them. But look how they reacted to Keiichi it seemed rude but Shion/Mions mom thought it Chivalry. In sticking with what he believes is right Keiichi has managed to pull elders and just about everyone else to his cause. I cant think of a better example of one person can make a difference. In a way this seems the theme for arc as Rika has thrown all her trust into believing in Keiichi. Although i know better than to get my hopes with Higurashi Keiichi seems to be the key to it all as a person who was not raised in the Hinamizawa he maintains a kind of brashness or straight forwardness that gets things done hes a natural leader. I guess the next episode will be a deciding factor. But even if they save Satoko without violence Watanagashi festival is only 5 days away so they is still plenty of time for things to go horribly and bloody wrong.
With Oryo saying give Keiichi all the support he needs with anything i couldnt help but to think that the Sonozakis are going to try to marry of Mion to him. I can see it already but you have to admit having a MionXKeiichi rule of the Sonozakis might not be such a bad thing. And please let it be Mion we saw what happen when she didnt get the stuff animal god knows what would happen if ended up with Shion

Shion has her Satoshi-Kun
It's Rena that Mion has to keep a eye on
But personally I'm rooting for K1XTommy....
Just kidding

Wait, did Rika really call Oyashiro-sama a guy? I actually didn't notice...
The s/he issue isn't exactly easy to pick. Basically, in japanese, you are not forced to repeat the "subject", as it is already implied. She didn't use any word for oyashiro-sama after the first part of the sentence. The best idea is to repeat the same subject tought it is really redundant in same case.
Since oyashiro-sama was always known as "god" and not as a "goddess", it looks a bit more logic to use a "he". Also, by default, even if a deity doesn't have a gender, it is usually masculine in general for any language.
But Rika never implied Oyashiro is either a He or a She, but you can obviously see here that it is a she (if people still think hanyuu isn't oyashiro ^^")
as for the pairing... huh...
I believe RenaXKeiichi and MionxKeiichi are quite cute... try daybreak for this :heh: (still the former looks much more intense, if you compare Onikakushi/Tsumihoroboshi with Watanagashi/Meakashi (even if it is Shion :heh:))

But Rika does use the boy "I" when she refers to herself as one of the TIPS points out
and Klashikari I agree with you about how the MionXK1 pairing seems much more intense in Watanagashi/Meakashi then RenaXK1 pairing in Onikakushi/Tsumihoroboshi but thats because the Mion feelings for K1 was what fulled the arcs

No, the thing i was talking about is oyashiro, and generally speaking, it is "clear" when you refer to someone as a s/he... but MUCH harder for things like a concept (even item, you have to know about the context as there is no "singular/plural" or whatsoever), while you have peculiar cases when girls use "boku" (but that... it is not that common ^^')
It is kinda very vulgar to refer girls with "aitsu/koitsu" IIRC :heh:
and Klashikari I agree with you about how the MionXK1 pairing seems much more intense in Watanagashi/Meakashi then RenaXK1 pairing in Onikakushi/Tsumihoroboshi but thats because the Mion feelings for K1 was what fulled the arcserrr... you mistook my opinion, I sincerely believe the opposite (thus the former => RxK)
The thing is Keiichi does see Mion as a boy, and it is hard to say if it is something as intense as "love" when he was trying to help "Mion" (despite being shion :heh:)
that said, his interactions with Rena in both Onikakushi and Tsumihoroboshi are so cute it is almost criminal ^^" (the manga version of onikakushi is even more blatant XD)
that said, considering the added pairing for MxK in daybreak kai, you can tell Ryukishi doesn't confirm any of them. (much like for the real thing, in daybreak, i prefer RxK ^^")
at this rate, will we have a "romance thread"? huh... that looks too poor :heh:
Sterling01
2007-09-10, 08:04
But they do have one in the Code Geass thread
They are building up the whole thing slowly, but very nicely. Can't wait to see the whole mob confront Teppei and (hopefully) kick his sorry behind out of the village.
Did anyone say romance ? Rena x Keiichi easily trumps K x M ... as Klashikari said, their interactions can be absurdly cute :) Though we won't be seeing a thread anytime soon - it would be nothing short of KxR vs KxM, with the odd Shion/Satashi post ... not exactly needed :)

I thought that bit was from a TIP we'd already past, and not that important anyway, but okay, sorry.
Didn't Rika say in the last episode that she was going to start playing an active role in changing fate? She's still just letting Keiichi do everything...
And stupid Keiichi, you should be picking up on the information Rika's dropping, going on and on about fate and 100+ years, etc... :p

Nooo ;-; it should be K1xMion.
Don't get me wrong, I love Rena, but I just love how Mion has a big crush on him, has has her secret sweet side; it's so cute. xD
Anyways, getting back on topic, the was a pretty good episode, I like how everything is being unveiled. XD

anyway, as i have no idea what's coming, the waiting between episodes is murderous...

Well I think it's less Rika letting Keiichi do everything rather than he's the most suitable for the roll of rallying troops. Would have to believe she has tried to gatehr support and knows who can do that. She's already made her battle in this saving Satoko saga as the one to convince her to seek help.
Just to toss in, do have a slight preference for the KxM pairing but that isn't saying I don't like Rena either. Mostly just liked Mion's reactions to things that happen. Especially that scene in season 1 where he just hugged her and apologized, of course no clue on her part what was going on :).
Anyways let's bring on more next week.

Something I saw on another forum.
One of the things we are missing in the anime is the point-of-view shifts. The visual novel games have you "play" as Rika for a few chapters (all the text you read is 1st person from Rika's POV), then for a few chapters you "play" as Keiichi, then it changes back to Rika. The reason for that strange change in focus between 9 and 10 is that one of those POV shifts occurred. It's often done so that you come back to a character you'd previously left hanging for a bit of an "ahh, so *that*'s what was happening..." realization.

I interpreted that line as "kill his sorry ass."
I didn't interpret it that way at all:
It is tempting to look at it that way but I actually interpret some amusement
on the part of the Sonozakis over this upstart:
It was either - this guy could be a force to reckon with if we have his power
on our side.
Also, keep a watch on him to make sure he doesn't turn against us.
Also, if he's proving to be a big pain in the butt, well, take care of him, heh.

You thought that too?
-They mentioned Mion talks about Keiichi to her family - she already likes him.
(a not so secret crush....Shion: "K1 is sis' favorite" from season 1).
-He already gifted her the doll - apparent reciprocation.
-He's got charisma and power in his "cool mode".
-Potential pending parental approval.
-A Keiichi x Mion marriage could ensure the Sonozaki name continues
to wield power well into the future.
-Their kids would be hilarious to consider (Keiichi with green hair? A
little mion/shion clone with mix of green and dark hair?) Heh.
-Then again, it would be terrifying to consider their offspring with his
"cool mode" and her ability to arrange things. Brr...
I think that could be quite intriguing actually.
And let me say something about that preview. Were they crazy? I realize that
half the time you're focusing on the insane things the presenters are saying but
if you concentrate on the video content - don't do it.
The copy I have is a bit blurred so I don't believe it spoiled much, at least, I'm
pretty sure that I'm pretending it didn't. But don't you watch it.
Anyway, I'm really, really digging this - even moreso than season one..
I purposely waited for 10 episodes to be out and then watched all ten
in one big mindblowing chunk.

A decent ep, but it really lacked the dramatic intensity of the previous couple of eps. Everything that happened in this ep was necessary for the plot, but I can see why some people are a tad frustrated by the pacing, since ultimately it was more of the same stuff we had in the last couple of eps: K1 goes GAR, and convinces more and more people to join his cause in fighting against the bureaucracy for Satoko. I love the themes that are coming out of this arc, though, and how strongly they resonate with the story, eg strength though unity, fighting for comrades, and the power of protest, etc, etc. They're not really typical for anime, since we generally see one hero upending a battalion of bad dudes singlehandedly (yes, I know I'm generalizing). This is really grounded, in that sense.
Onibaba v K1 was a little disappointing since she was ultimately tsundere (must run in the family). I think it could have been better if it was two headstrong people going up against each other until one proved too unmovable for the other (like Shion v K1). I also thought there was too much light comic relief interspersed throughout this episode (Rena trying to multiply two by two, cowardly director, everyone laughing after the meeting with Onibaba, etc, etc). That, I thought, detracted from the atmosphere.
I think that could be quite intriguing actually.
ooooh. I still prefer K1xRena! It's much cuter and they even let more clues about it than K1xMion... (Even yakusamashi-hen and former episodes of minagoroshi-hen had them..) xD

K1xMion ok K1xRena somebody call the cops :heh:
well things are heating up looks like this arc will come to an end in a few episodes( im really looking forward to it because unlike most of you i don't know what happens)
im probably gonna rewatch this when all the episodes are released so it doesn't seem like the show is moving at a slow pace (the whole wait a week thing is why people want it to pick up)

I dont mind K1XRena Paring but i think it might lead to whole new slew of deaths and misery. I mean look how she reacted when she didnt get the stuff animal from him. Maybe for the good of the town and for certain people to keep breathing there should be K1XMion paring which is still my favorite but i will admit K1 and Rena together the way they act and speak is so cute its should be considered a crime

The doll event doesn't happen in each "world", otherwise, Watanagashi/Meakashi would always happen (keiichi never gave the doll to Mion before Minagoroshi). The issue is more likely the fact keiichi didn't see her as a girl ("favoring Rena" is certainly not the problem) which lead Shion's "trigger".
But some pairing like this doesn't mean a huge clash as one might fear :heh:

HE LIVES:heh: i knew that it doesnt happen in every world. I just figured there was a chance of another event replacing the previous one. I guess maybe K1 sees Mion a little more like a girl in this world but i cant quite tell. Either way i like both parings.
@Sterling01 that would too much cuteness i dont think my mind could handel it lol
Keiichi did it:D
Was it a display of guts or utter stupidity to act bold against Sonozaki Oryou?
Definitely, Oni-Baba lives up to her reputation.
She's frightening. If she's that ghastly as an old lady, I cannot even imagine how dreadful she was during her prime youth.
And Akane is an absolutely, hot mom!:eyespin:
Anyways, with the entire Sonozaki clan involved in the village committee it was just a matter of time for them to play their cards and force the government to capitulate.
Those bureaucrats are bastards, but it was due mainly to Keiichi's defiance that all of them got straightened up and lastly put their ears to listen to everyone's Hinamizawa pleas.
Now, Satoko can be saved, but they must hurry because that Teppei bastard is having one of his daily tantrums and manhandling Satoko like a punching bag.
And I felt shivers and laugh out aloud when Oryou requested Akane to take care of Keiichi for her.:heh: That's scary, you know.

Great Episode...satoko kinda irritates me at times with her outright rejection of any help whatsoever but hey, K-chan is THE man. Nice work.
And Hannyu (im sure i spelt her name wrong) ist just a pure nuisance with all her negative energy...interesting to see Rikas hope flicker. Poor girl

I dunno about that (Just finished episode 14).
Even when things get "Crazy" at the end of this arc none of the violence is anything like in the first season (So far). Shame too, it's what made me fall for this series in the first place.
Mind you they took episode 13 (I beleive) off the air for a week or two and cancelled the series on at least one station due to a mixture of what they did have, School Days (its final episode was around the same week, thus the week of the "Nice Boat" incident) and a murder in Japan at that time.
