I watched that same scene with Voltaire, and I don't know where all of you got the idea that he's GUNBUSTER like tall or something, considering that he's clearly standing behind Caro on the RF6 holographic training ground, and she's relatively large comparing (And I don't think Voltaire was THAT far away from Caro for it to be a perspective matter) :heh: I would say that his current size of 4-5 stories tall is just about accurate.

Anyway, before RAW comes out and everyone proceeds to watch it, I'd like to say one thing;
QUALITY.

As memtioned Pray is played in this EP, but animetion quality was DAMN, and I mean it's clearly noticable even in animation not only screencap.
Keep it in mind before you watch it... maybe then you can concentrate on story itself, though I do feel it's too crammed (again) to be any good.

I got the impression that Voltaire, from the get go comparison was around 3 to 4 times the height of RF6 base, which means somewhere between 10 to 15 stories at least.

Now it looks like it's actual size is only half of RF6's base height... feels a little off somewhat. (( Then again, it's almost tradition in mecha for inconsistencies in hueg-protrayal. Take Destroy/Pyscho Gundam for example. ))

And if it's true (( or at least enough crack for me to read between the lines )), expect Doctor and the Number/Doctor of Mount. Alhazred crack pieces from me in the OC thread within this 2 weeks. :3

I don't think Voltaire was ever like some super massive hunderds of stories tall or anything, he just looked huge because the city or as Lowe said the holographic city is so far in the background. If he were really taller then skyscrapers, Caro wouldn't even be a speck next to him.

It's not a holographic city. That was the buildings from the capital itself, which we know is quite the distance away from RF6 Headquarters, and consequently the Holographic Training Field where Caro summoned Voltaire. Even I was amazed when the first caps went out (I thought Voltaire was a couple of kilometers tall), and yet on closer inspection it turned out to be a distance perspective issue :heh:

To be fair, he used both hands... and it does look like Claw absorbed most of the damage, since it cracked after holding for a while.

And this episode also shows why Jail's such an extravagant fearless bastard. So long as any one of his Numbers make it out okay, even if he dies, he'll be back. Though I wouldn't call it a perfect plan... it's a damn good plan.

Right, I'm just gonna do this for the benefit of some, and possibly to clarify other things.

Numbers status as of now:

* Uno: Captured by Aucous.

* Due: Presumably dead.

* Tre and Sette: Knocked out.

* Cinque: ??? (Really, I want an answer to this. Where is she?)

* Sein: Knocked out or possibly destroyed by Schach...doubtful about destruction though.

* Otto: Captured by Zafira and Shamal.

* Nove, Uendi and Dido: Held captive by Teana with Dido also getting sniper-owned.

* Ginga: Reversed back to her normal state.

* Quattro: Presumably the only remaining active Number.

Now this leaves two, really. Quattro, who is active, and Cinque, who is...somewhere. She only has two episodes to make any kind of appearance, but there's still hope.

Two funny things, though. How did Aucous find Uno so quickly? His hounds must be efficient guides...and the second was Sette just...well...falling as her weapons were made into scrap metal. Kinda funny, really.

Nanoha's injury = 8 years ago.

Stalker Quint/Lutecia's mom(Alphino/Alpine?) was lol a little though. Zest likes them motherly, yet young at heart. :p

haha this is great cheese :D seriously the fight between the giants reminded me of king kong vs godzilla (or as klash puts it the final rematch for utawarerumono :heh:)
let see -
To start off with a bit of background information with a flashback - seems like back when zest was alive he was in a team that included lutecia's mother and subaru/ginga's mother - presumably jail whips out the whole team, turns zest into a zombie and clones a lutecia (apparently subaru's mother wasnt wanted ~ boo hissss T_T)

regis was backstabbed to death by duo which incured zest's wrath...what happened next was too violent to show on TV :heh:
back with the fight lutecia and garyuu looses to caro and erio but that doesnt stop her summons from fighting .
Fate chan was under constant pressure as Jail begins to manipulate her mind (bla bla) - caro and erio manages to snap her out of her uneasy state and here we see some epix action...

ZOMG FATE CHAN!!! now this scene is the highlight for the whole series imo :D she totally kicked ass and while Jail was able to shop her blade (*cough plot hole cough*) she ended up batting him away for a home run...the bastard got just what he deserved :D

quattro lets her hair down - improvement on her previous look as now she is just oozing with evil vibes :3
vice snipes dido for a headshot (the dude is back! ^__^)

and er...vivio smashes nanoha into the wall but looking at how heavy she is breathing maybe it was quite an even fight, im betting that nanoha will use her trump card come next ep ;)

That is messed up then :heh:Even if flying they'd be pretty low and should still be the size of several rooftops going by the first picture. This is just a total and nearly criminal lack of care by the animators, but I've seen such things before sadly... (Recalls fighters flying out the GLOWING ENGINE PODS of the Prometheus in SG-1 which would lead one think it's about 5 times the size it's always been shown to be.)

Apparently Summoned Beasts in Nanohaverse defy gravity just as much as they defy artistic efforts :uhoh:.

Voltaire imho looked more awesome previously, but then again that may be due to the bonfire around him :p.

Looks like Quattro is not too fazed about the Doc's capture. Either she really does have her own agenda, or she's much more closer to the Doc than I imagine. But that part when she touched herself is somewhat disturbing to me.

If they don't find Cinque before the series end, she might turn up in the next instalment with the next Scaglietti.

What was the Doc saying when he was playing with Fate's mind?

Damn well giving grown Fate Sonic Form was a long time coming but welcome when it arrived. While they might've shirked creativity for Strada's forms this was a pretty good transformation for Bardiche. Just can't beat Fate in terms of speed once she gets going like that. Was hoping we'd get a Doctor impaling but smacking him into a wall was still an enjoyable experience.

Is it me or did Erio really did keep to his word of taking some of Signum's techniques? Sure he called out her lightning flash move when laying the smack down at long last against Garyuu.

Biggest thing really the forward lightnings did this episode was getting Fate's fighting spirit back up and going. They always seem to like messing around with her head in these situations.

And finally Dido gets her owning from the male characters :). But seriously she smacked down Zafira, then Erio, so Vice is the one who has to avenge them in sniping her out of nowhere when she was trying yet another sneak attack. Was expected Vice would save her and it certainly wasn't a bad thing.

This episode deserves a 9 at least:
- Caro versus Lutecia battle of the giant summons was pretty cool

... reminded me of Utawarerumono's mech battle, but didn't match...

- Fate's new Barrier Jacket with dual-Zambers (Riot Zamber). Now, that was awesome!

- Vice is back and as a SNIPER! *BOOM HEADSHOT* (Had to say it.)
Dido just got up and *bam* down she went. Don't think she's getting up anymore :D

- Vivio versus Nanoha... can't wait to see her trump card here.

I think the last fights are Quattro-Nanoha-Vivio or Nanoha-Vivio or Nanoha-Quattro. Maybe Hayate and Fate will come in assist, but that's what I'm thinking it will break down to.

Unless there's a surprise here that they're probably going to reveal to us soon-ish.

At any rate I'm getting more worried about Vita now. She really looks like hell in that preview. It is Vita so she'll probably find a way to manage somehow. Though we did get to see that kind of group take down Subaru/Ginga and Lutecia's mothers. With a lot of the other fights being finished might not be a bad idea to get her some help asap. Only so much she can do with being low on cartridges and that injured.

Lutecia is not a clone. Megane Alpine (( Lutecia's mom )) really had a daughter, that was taken in to be an Artificial Mage test subject by TSA High Council/Jail.

Most likely she's a single mother.

That, or Alpine was a divorcee (like Precia), or her husband was KIA (like Lindy).

One question, did they show how Lutecia was defeated?

Lutecia + Double Jiraioh Thunder Cannon vs Caro + Boosted Blast attack.

Lutecia's device cracked in the blast showdown, and it can be presumed Lutecia lost then and the explosion went boom. We never saw the actual "BOOM" knocking her out clearly as opposed to the Home Run by Fate though.

Erio befriended Garyuu via Thunder Punch. :3

Overall, it's decent of an episode, though I must admit, most of the battles had been pretty lackluster in terms of actual choreography and dynamics. The ones who are supposingly more versatile get shafted (( Zest/Lutecia )), and the Numbers are too much of one trick ponies.

Apparently Summoned Beasts in Nanohaverse defy gravity just as much as they defy artistic efforts :uhoh:.

Voltaire imho looked more awesome previously, but then again that may be due to the bonfire around him :p.

Looks like Quattro is not too fazed about the Doc's capture. Either she really does have her own agenda, or she's much more closer to the Doc than I imagine. But that part when she touched herself is somewhat disturbing to me.

If they don't find Cinque before the series end, she might turn up in the next instalment with the next Scaglietti.

That sounds very nasty. He could be playing on Fate's sense of guilt for involving the chibis in the TSAB and thus conflict. It's appears to be a traditional psychological attack amongst villians, who likes to use it against Agents of Justice :p.

i thought since ginga and subru were androids they could do everything with the exception of having children naturally since they were baically numbers also, but if we just found out today the numbers can be pregent, that means ginga and subru can have kids also, so that means we could have in theory 12 new scagetti's and i don't even like the original one, well will just kill him now, since once men allready give their (special seed) most women do not need us for the future anyway!! well that what the momen tell me at least!! so that means if i was there i could still jump on ginga then, well that's the best news i have heard so far on this series, so i claim ginga and you people can fight over Subru, she too though for me to handle anyway, i was going after quattro but since she allready did it, i pass on that idea!! but now getting back for epsiode 25 nanoha going to get the big padle out and give Vivio the big huge spanking that she needs to teach this little princess how to act like a real lady, and please someone please tell hayate we could use a little help over here, trying to stop the cradle, but this has for me, been the most exciting epsiode yet, and this series will be over in just 14 days from now, i just hope then end it the right way!!!!!!

To the end, Scaglietti was smiling... Beautiful. *tear*

Gack, there goes the rest of the Numbers. Tre and Sette are defeated in seconds (as expected of a "trump card"), Sein is defeated by Schach (who can pass through walls too...), and Uno is captured by the missing Acuos (spelling?). Deed is defeated again by the miraculously recovered Vice... And Nove probably will surrender too... (I didn't have to hear another friendship speech, though...)

Nove join the good guys?... Saa, I hope not.

Scaglietti: His finger movements were so funny! :D As for what he did to his Numbers: Meh, a bit "cruel", but a good plan.

Quattro: It feels like she's getting a bit impatient now, seeing as how no one was "useful" to her. No glasses + hair down: Somehow, Uno-like. In the end, she's the last enemy standing (ignoring Vivio).

Cinque: STILL hasn't made an appearance... Maybe for a reason for later? So she lost an eye during a battle against Zest.

So it took only Quattro, Cinque, and Tre to take out all of those people. And many, many spider drones to take out the mothers.

Due: Well, the writers chose a dumb way to take her out. Let her kill Regius (whom no one likes) and let Zest defeated her. Besides, her reaction and such were too much: She's number 2, why would she be so inexperienced to be surprised by Zest breaking free from binds?

I guess her IS allows her to transform to an extent.

I wish the next season is "Magical Shonen Crazy Jail" or "Technical Seinen Crazy Jail". It gets tiring listening to all of the good guy talks like "be friends" or "let's fight together", but Jail's speeches are so much more interesting.

Oh, forgot:

Lutecia: Ends up the way everyone figured it would. Cheesy talk, summoned skull/utawarerumono/diagla/palkia crossover vs. deformed dragon, and defeat of the bad guys. Boring.

I had a surprising amount of thoughts... Though it was a painful episode for me...

Yeah it's just too bad that the series (though not unexpected) broke Chaos's vibrant plot for the Caro/Erio/Lutecia battle. Yes it did involve a building collapsing, but instead of that little bit in the fanfic section we got Erio finishing off Garyuu. But yeah time to abandon all hope there. Any Erio and Lutecia interactions are just done. Even if she regains consciousness sometime soon it will be for a CaroxLutecia moment.

Oh well time to watch the Fate ownage again which was a highlight for the entire series to be sure. That was some great stuff right there.

Killing Vita in any possible way will not give the series a positive score. Sure a heroic death can be something, but if they aren't willing to have Jail stabbed through the gut no killing of Vita.

Oh and with only 2 episodes left where the heck is Chrono? Even Vice managed to make it out of rehab to help out here. It'd be a real tragedy to regulate Chrono to the cavalry that shows up after everything is settled.

You know, with everyone being overall pleased, or at least apeased with this episode, having a couple of pessimists is almost... refreshing.

Hey, the overall mood over the past 6-7 episode threads has been a whining party, so we needed at least one of this to balance things out :p

As for me? Meh, it required me to turn off my brain capabilities a little in order to enjoy the episode, and to stomach THEPOWEROFFRIENSHIP(tm). After that it wasn't that bad of an episode, and at least Tre was able to put up a little fight so it wasn't that bad. Erio/Caro lackluster fight was quite dull, but nobody cares for them so bleh, the less whining/flawed befriending the better. Spaghetti remained as a nice depicable villian to the end, so that is a plus.

Overall Nanoha continues to be the comedy that I've growed to love. It has been so long since a seires managed to give so many laughs, which is nice for me who hates conventional comedy series like Midori no Hibi, Excel Saga and the such :)

To those asking about Cinque's present whereabouts:

She was out of the fight from the beginning. She was still in the base, stuffed in a tube, recovering from severe frame damage.

Recall that Subaru pelted her with Panzer Kunst Hertza Haeons (what Subaru's IS Vibration Shatter really is), that nearly killed her back in episode 17-18. She was guarding, but Subaru pelted her with at least two full force shots that broke Cinque's guard both times.

Even guarded, a full force Vibration Shatter will nearly kill a combat cyborg.

True, she was severely injured, but that was one week ago.

Chances are she's still afloat inside recovering, but until we see her actual self recovering, we're playing by hindsight and assume she might be somewhere out there, even if not fully combat-able atm.

Besides, Jail's 12-Numbers insurance only works if at least one Number stays clear from danger.

... Unless Ginga too... :uhoh:

Oh and with only 2 episodes left where the heck is Chrono? Even Vice managed to make it out of rehab to help out here. It'd be a real tragedy to regulate Chrono to the cavalry that shows up after everything is settled.

And I don't get what Chrono is doing. He has all these captains/admirals commanding the inter-dimensional fleet, he can at least arrive on the battlefield himself and help out. I'm guessing he's probably at least a "S"-class mage.

Subaru hit her with an absurd amount of magical energy. Did I see it wrong in the last episode wrong or did she use twice as many cartidges as she did in the first episode? It was more like a Starlight Breaker anyway, with the little tracer beam shooting out first before the full blast.

Anyhow, in pure Nanoha tradition, the best way to remove brainwashing, make friends, and repair berserk magical Relic AIs is to blast it to hell.

If they don't mention it in future, I bet it killed Jail's little baby if he planted one. Subaru's Panzer Kunst is that strong. I wouldn't put it past him putting one in, he did rip off her arm.

My issue with this is that you somehow assume they KNOW "sound military logic" to begin with… I’m thinking guys writing magical girl show scripts probably aren’t military buffs or ex-service members. (and anyone saying they should go out looking for military advisers for a damn Magic Girl show will be classed as totally insane and dismissed.)

I truly wasn't aware a working knowledge of the fine nuances of military strategy was a requirement to be an author nowadays.

Not that much for me to say about the Ep, The opening flashback was a bit too long for my taste but at least it made Regius bite the dust.

Erio/Caro's fight vs team Lutecia is rather unimpressive, I prefer to have bigger explosions. At least then good thing that come out of it is that Lutecia is befriended :heh:

Highlight for me of course is to see twin sword wielding Fate. Fate just looks bad ass with it. :D Too bad she did not slash across Scagletti, but then again you can not have everything going your way...

And now we are finally up to fight between Nanoha mama and Vivio. Hopefully the promised fireworks will come finally. :D

And what do they do after they enter the den? They get seperated! Either super-tough adversaries show up and each tackle one girl who says, "don't worry, I handle this, you guys go on ahead." Or the villan activates a trap that scattters the girls. In the end, it's almost always only the main heroine vs the only main villan.
In the end, it doesn't matter whether RF6 was dispersed or not. You'd still get the same number of individual duels. This is the time to show what they're each capable of, they're not going to cheapen it by steamrollering their opponents in seconds.

The point is the effort. RF6 isn't even trying to stick together. You'd also notice that when this crap happens, the magical girls who separate are in dire straits. Since the three of them are girls, I'd presume watching an entire childhood's worth of Magical Girl Shows will have helped reinforce this.

Well, you've clarified this for me...but I at least thought she would make some kind of reappearance in the future in some fashion.

Maybe what Gale said is true- maybe Cinque has recovered somewhat by now, but, to ensure the survival of his seed, Jail has sent her off the Cradle.

Well, as far as I can see, Fate's beatdown on Jail was animated at least decently. Besides, the animation will only improve in the DVD release, which I will be patiently and eagerly awaiting. :)

Fate's Sonic Form was what I was referring to as "the best for the last". It's practically a dream come true for me, adult Fate in an updated form of her old Barrier Jacket with an even bigger sword! Add that to Fate kicking ass like the good old days and I'm sold.

In fact, you can say I waited 24 episodes for this very moment.

Maybe I am easy to please, but all this just made the episode a solid 10 for me.

"Pray" sounded like the theme for this episode only, since it did focus on Team Lightning and the Forwards...haven't seen the whole episode yet, but it was good to see Fate's old barrier jacket again...and to be served as her new Sonic form. Although the white skirt would have been a much better choice for her sonic form, but it still looks good on her. Can't wait for figurine companies to try create this into a figurine.
And Riot Zamber is a pretty crazy form...two Zambers and all connected together by a yellow magical bind.

The Einherjar were demolished by the Numbers back just before Cradle took off. So much for the Ground Forces' trump card. :heh: They were really big, ground-based cannons. I guess that it was supposed to be a Verdun parallel. Except without the turning the guns around bit.

Improvement on animation doesn't improve its storyboarding, which imo, was very lackluster. Even if I close my eyes and pretend it's beautifully animated, the storyboarding, pacing, execution and build-up in my opinion left a lot of umph to be desired.

I'm not really a Fate fanboy, so maybe I'm a little more technical about things like this.

Unless Barrier of the Saint King is so powerful it needs both Hayate and Nanoha to combine their most powerful Breakers, but I don't see that happening until Nanoha had really given up on Vivio or something.

Sure, Riot Zanber looked all right... but that's it. Did she ever use both of those Zanbers separately? Any awesome dual wielding attacks, that she couldn't do with just one weapon? Nope. Did she cast even a single spell? Nope. She just kinda yells and charges, much like way too many of the fights in StS :frustrated:. What was the point in forming two weapons, if a) she attacks the exact same place with both, or b) just reforms then into yet another giant sword? Sure, Riot Zanber looked all right... but that's it. Did she ever use both of those Zanbers separately? Any awesome dual wielding attacks, that she couldn't do with just one weapon? Nope. Did she cast even a single spell? Nope. She just kinda yells and charges, much like way too many of the fights in StS :frustrated:. What was the point in forming two weapons, if a) she attacks the exact same place with both, or b) just reforms then into yet another giant sword? Well, being a fan of melee combat, I actually prefer how Fate defeats the opposition this time round. No tricks or ambushes, just upfront brutality. After all, she is angry, and would probably prefer to take on the enemy in melee combat rather than wasting her energy on unsatisfying ranged kills.

Besides, Sonic Form is meant to allow Fate to get into physical combat quicker. Using its power to hang back and cast spells would be a waste of its speed.

And about the giant sword....you don't understand the beauty and appeal of a giant sword. :D

Well, I do agree with the Caro/Erio vs Lulu fight though. Pity about that. Also, no comments on the storyboarding and plots for the whole of StrikerS. As they say, the greater the hope and expectations, the higher and harder the fall will be.

If I'm buiding something, be it a piece of software or a piece of furniture, and you're near the end, of course you'll want to finish it, even if that turns out boring. Because when you've finished it, you'll have made something. You'll have both the satisfaction of having finished your work, and the piece of software or piece of furniture you've just made.

But watching an anime doesn't give you anything. Anime is just a way of having fun for a moment. If you're not having fun with a series, watching it won't give you anything, and you won't lose anything by giving up. In fact, since I'm pretty sure you have some "pending" series waiting to be watched (We all have), you'd do yourself a favor giving up on the boring one and trying another one. Even if there's only two episodes left, that's still 45 minutes, in which time you may discover a gem.

Watching an episode because you're having fun watching it, I understand.
Watching an episode because you hope the next episode will be better, I can understand (But fast-forward is your friend).
Watching an episode to come and bash it on animesuki, I can understand (But if you're good, you might be able to bash it without even watching it).
Watching a bad episode because you know the torture won't last long now, instead of stopping it right now, that I don't understand.

probably it was just the fact that Fate turned into her Sonic Form...but I think it was a waste of an insert song to be used in this episode to be honest.:heh:

It's kinda shocking if you think about it with the lyrics of "Pray".

The lyrics of "Pray" describes a weak and fragile person on the verge of giving up but found strength to continue his/her struggle and to protect many many people he/she love. Originally I thought this would be more of a song for Subaru as that's what the character of Subaru is about all along StrikerS. Instead it turned into a song for Fate, when she was losing hope, believes and direction and was cheered on by her "children" Caro and Erio. It sort of paints Fate in a different light - as the grown up and composed image she had all along in StrikerS is really not quite true and that she's still the same fragile child and her past and origin contiues to haunts her.

In the end though, the reason the impact was lessened I would chalk up with the pacing of the story (same old) - we really didn't get much of the "sibling time" between her and Caro/Erio, nor enough insight of Fate's fear of her past and the hopelessness of the current situation at hand to completely get the full impact of the songs implications, as most of the stuff is just thrown at the viewer in the last minutes of this episode without any sort of proper buildup.

Once again, I chalk this up to Vivio taking away the Fate time that could've been spent elsewhere. It's not like Fate has any real drama worth associating with Vivio.

However, I do agree that the fear and distaste of Jail in the twisted kindred sense, was very loosely executed on a assume to believe basis. Although her hate of such criminals need not genuine development, we never really saw an proper insight on how she really thought about Jail along with his close links to Project F, that tied to her and Precia, along with other aspects of her 'chemistry' with Jail.

In SS might as well be counted as "not in there" - I don't mind so much that CD dramas adding extra depth to characters, but something to this degree of importance to the character development should've been given proper screentime and not be regulated to "lolz buy the drama CDs to get the full story!" - as not everyone (even in Japan) will be that dedicated to buy these things. StrikerS really went over the line with its cross-media development this time IMO and I can just smell the greed.

The thing I found ironic is, thus far from what I've heard on the SS CDs (only SS01) it seems to have more "meat" to it than some of the damn training episodes, it sort of boggles my mind why they didn't swap the writings around - animate these mini-episodes from the drama and have the training talk on the CDs.

You know, I can say the same about SS01. Who buys Drama CDs with holidays, revisiting old cast members, and ONSEN without animation or even stills/images? I mean, the ONLY place we saw timeskip Suzuka and Arisa is in ONE magazine spread. :heh:

But I agree somewhat on the meat thing. Parts of SS02 felt for one more 'impactful' than some of those 'plot/slow' episodes. The cross-talk on Fate/Lindy/Arf/Caro/Erio had more character substance for Fate,Erio and Caro since... forever. Well, at least it had more substance that Erio suddenly having flashbacks, or Fate going STFU at Numbers. Had it been actually animated, it'd make this episode look a lot better as well, since the dramatic touch was already there.

Sometimes an author starts a story (anime, novel, fanfic, whatever), and doesn't know how to end it properly, or doesn't have enough time, or the editor doesn't agree with the proposed end. When that happens, either the story is halted (often seen in fanfics), or the author rushes an end as well as he can given the circumstances. The former is better (but usually impossible with a TV series), but anyway, watching or reading a painful end, without much explained, due to an author block, doesn't seem useful to me.

If you ask me, well... it's true that StrikerS is draining a lot of potential down its own drain and there were a lot of lackluster elements be it direction/plot/character development/etc, but I don't think it sucks. It's enjoyable for me personally. It's just that it could be better... A LOT LOT better, but that doesn't mean itself on its own right now is horrible.

Personally, I think the doctor neglected to mention other variables. Like how many stealth drones were involved for instance. Token subordinate A did mentioned that they were ambushed. Vita knows how much of an inconvenience that can be.

I mean, watching StrikerS, it gives the impression that Seven Arcs are clearly holding back on StrikerS, using round-about plot elements like AMF, non-mage Cyborgs and all that, and keeping things like Ginga's IS, Nakajima dual-Knuckle wielding cards hidden, Jail's backstory, Alhazred links... rather than going all-out for an epic interdimensional scale anime. I mean, even the setting itself was stuck to the weakest link of TSAB, the Ground Forces.

It's less of a S4 greenlight, but merely a line of thought, that's possible. I am aware that Seven Arcs isn't the kind of studio that can spearhead their own projects without backers anyway.

I just use Seven Arcs as a generalization for most parts.

Fate's fight would have been more enjoyable (as well as the insert song) if she didn't suddenly go "level up" x 45 and get the amazing, how did it go, haxx(?) power to defeat Tre and Sette practically instantly.

Jail and Fate's homerun scene was funny, though for me, it was because he was smiling, let her hit him, and flew off without a sound. Oh, and ending with a you're arrested that I've heard so many times now.

Come to think of it, I find thinking about it very amusing. Jail is the "father" and his daughters can "give birth" to him, their "father". A cycle of sorts. Truly amusing, yet I don't know why.

To me the whole of the StrikerS series was badly put together with a combo of pointless fillers and zomg snore yapping and not enough action (which was the main reason why nanoha and A's was so awesome :D) - They seriously should have kept this series at 13 as it would be way better to have the pace running at full throttle from the word go than to have it crawl like a snail :rolleyes: Just remembering back to how A's started really puts this series into shame ~ (and ofc i want my loli fate chan >__<)

chances of a season 4...well unless they want to sink this series further into hell...

Strikers is the SEED Destiny equivalent to the Nanoha franchise: some thing purely commercially driven with animation and plot taking a back seat for priorities. Think of how many "cabbage" moments we have so far.

Hopefully we well get a 4th season that is back to GundamSaipian style and save the franchise is stead of SEED where Destiny drove it so far into ground they are rebooting the franchise again with 00.

I'm not sure if they just should've done more quality over a 26 episode series. Whether they took this season for granted and didn't try so hard. I still believe moving up the episode count to 26 was a good decision on its own, since, on a theorical basis, it allows the story to stretch and explain itself a little more. I wouldn't be bothered (at least not initially) if they just decided to make a 36 episodes 4 season. By then, I hope they had already learned of their mistakes with the direction of the 3rd series .

The budget was clearly so stretched this time. What makes you think a 39-episoder won't look even worse.

Regardless, I was speaking more on a speculative line of thought, looking at StrikerS's execution of its plot elements, which even if King Records has a lot of say alongside creative control of Project StrikerS, Kusakawa and Tsuzuki are still the overall director and lead writer, right? It's less of a S4 greenlight, but merely a line of thought, that's possible. I am aware that Seven Arcs isn't the kind of studio that can spearhead their own projects without backers anyway.

I just use Seven Arcs as a generalization for most parts.

This is not quite how anime gets produced.

Most people should know by know that most anime are made by first forming a consortium - where a bunch of companies (anime studio, publisher, merchandiser etc) all pitch in some money to get the project off the ground. "Spearheading" in this sense means the member whom puts in the most money gets the most say in the creative process (although most of the decision still has to be approved by the consortium members).

For the Nanoha Project, Kingrecords is the member that spearheads the project - it doesn't matter that Kusakawa and Tsuzuki are the director/writer in this case since they've both hired guns, it's the producers - Mishima and Tanaka (dunno about Tanaka, but Mishima works for Kingrecords), whom are suppose to act in the best interest of all the members of the consortium to ensure that everyone has their commerical interests protected, and of course, that their parent company maximises profits, which in this case is Kingrecords. The writers still have to answer to the producers, they don't get as much say as most people would think they do.

This is how most forms of entertainment are made anyway. Ever wonder why some shounen manga goes on forever? That's because the editors and publishers put a lot of pressures on the writers and made them alter/draw out the stories.

Their mistake was strenching in the first place.

I would rather they compress two 13 episodes story into one 26 episodes series than strench one 13 episodes story to 26 episodes.

Ok, maybe stretch was the wrong word to use, however perosonally I have no problem with a slow paced Nanoha series. In fact STrikerS first half contained many scenes and moments which actually made me think StrikerS was going to be my favorite season out of the 3. Normally I fear the words "action" and "tight packed", when they are used together. I believe that A's could have been even better if they could have kept the same quality while embedding elements from the manga and the Yami no sho/knights backstory, to the point the series became a 14-15 episodes one.

It was just a hypothetical example that didn't take into account economical elements at all. My point is that the Nanoha universe is strong enough for a story to be able to go on and on and on without it being too much of a drawn out, if properly directed.

It's only been a day since this episode was shown. One week of rant per episode, sounds good. Besides, it'll cool down... in a few days. If there wasn't anything to rant about, we wouldn't. There is, so we point it out.

After all, on the School Days thread, the "rape" rant lasted a whole week. No problems there.

On the ship (Asura?), they went "only number 4 is remaining". Did they forget Number 5 (Cinque)? It's hard to forget her, really.

Well, the writers could make this show worse (at this point) by having Cinque pop up next episode arrested somehow.

Erio has Lightning-Element Mana Conversion, which means that he can turn his magic to electric-based attacks and stuff.

He probably couldn't control it properly in his childhood... It might even be artificially implanted into him during his unknown period of time under "evil scientist #2354", considering that he looked like he wasn't a mage when he was still Mondial.
