Same here, I was very disappointed when the Clannad line was stopped two years ago.

The no-credit opening is one clip from the Invitation DVD which shipped in mid-September. This was only available to those who bought the final volume of the Kanon DVD set, and sent in a voucher (IIRC).

Well I knew about Clannad for awhile now but haven't done any research on it because I want to watch it without running into spoilers first. Am I the only one who is waiting until all episode are done airing so that I can watch it all in one sitting. I have NO IDEA how people could watch Air with only seeing 1 episode a week. I had to watch Air in one sitting, and done it many times. Kanon I wasn't able to get through it all in one day though. I'm just debating whether I want to fallow it episode by episode with you all, or ignore it until it's all complete then watch it all at once. I DO feel left out though and feel like I'm missing out. =3

And on a almost unrelated note. Is there a Kanon Plushie of Ayu in her over coat? I've only seen the series 2 plushies and no wonder they aren't rare. it look Nothing like Ayu. =(

The international shipping with amazon.co.jp is quite expensive, but then again it's express delivery so it is worth it.

I think I'm going to have to separate each of the pages and frame them individually. It sucks how it's not ring-bound, but has that metallic strip thing which forces you to cut the page off once the two months are over (not that I would do that).

Yeah, as long as there's a Visa in the corner then it's a Visa card. If it's a debit card, you'll be using your own savings so there's no additional charges other than international currency conversion costs, which aren't that much.

I got my pre-paid visa. They charge you 10$ to buy it, then an additional 5$ a month. I'm pretty sure it also cost an extra 3% per order outside the United States. =( not a HUGE loss but I hate making these companies richer. (Credit card ones)

It's a 160-page full-colour full-page-sized book. The illustration gallery is about 16 pages, sometimes one to a page, sometimes one larger one and a few smaller ones. There are also 5 "guest illustrations" near the end of the book that span 2 pages each, along with, of course, illustrations and drawings spread throughout. So, there's a fair bit of illustrations, but it's not an "art book".

It is a really good book ^-^ like what everyone says it is the CG of the game it also includes the Other World story, piano music for a few of the songs. As well as anthology images and some stories that are not covered in the game and are some of the ones complied in Another Story.

How about my post? Is that official too?Well, official in the "authorized sub-licensed product" sense, but not in the "written by Key/officially part of the storyline" sense. Anthology Novels, like Anthology Comics, are collections of one-shot stories by various authors/artists -- sort of like their "take" on the universe of said property. So it's not "doujinshi", as most of the artists/authors are professionals and it's being professionally published, but it isn't "canon" either. (Sorry for the delay in responding...)

Talking about official merchandise... I just received my copy of the Limited Edition release for Volume 2 and ZOMG... the included storyboard book was absolutely fantastic!

Also there was a deck of playing cards included, and at first I was wondering, "Why did they include a pack of cards for?"... but after realising that Ryou was featured on the cover and that the Joker card had a pic of Botan, it finally hit me! :p

I know what you mean, mate. I've had to split my orders into 2 LE DVDs at a time for Vol 3 onwards because I just can't afford to get them as they are released. I had bundled the calendar and Kanon Visual Memories with Vol 1, so that was okay. And then I bundled the Little Busters! Perfect Visual Book (damn worth its weight in gold, I reckon) with Vol 2 - so that ended up being economical as well.

Well... yes... in 4 months (2 pages) we get the GOOD Kotomi page... but at least I get a little bit of kotomi every morning out the door... even if shared with Nagisa (nothing really wrong with that).

She does look kinda different but so do the Nagisa, Tomoyo, and Kyou figures. It looks to me like this particular line is based on the characters' game appearance instead of the anime. I don't have any issues with it but even if I did I'd still buy it as my fanboyism obligates me to buy every piece of merchandise of my favorite characters. (I have one Rin Tohsaka figure that I really really hate but don't regret buying it at all). As for finding a different version I think it's unfortunately going to be a while, as I have yet to see any other figures even announced. (Though I am not always totally up to date on that kind of news).

Yesasia offer free shipping on orders over $25, but they only offer tax/vat-free shipping to te UK and Germany so you may still be hit by customs for orders over the threshold. They also don't have any of the Game OSTs unfortunately.

Well... it was quite a surprise when I got my shipment for the Vol 8 DVD to find an extra box. At first I wondered if they had shipped me Vol 3 again, but alas, I realised that they had in fact heard the calls of the fans and had made the box for all the booklets that came with the DVDs. Now I have two sexy looking boxsets for the Clannad DVDs and their associated books. :D

This may be kind of a strange question but, does anyone know of an easy way to remove the Kotobukiya Kotomi figure's left arm so she can be displayed with the book? Her hair and the positioning of the arm make it very difficult to even get a good grip on it, and I'm worried I'm gonna break it if I try to pull any harder.

I too is interested in that.

It may not be an actual 'cel' like old school animation uses, since animation nowadays are in computers and certainly kyoani's.

But I think that 'cel', is actually an official frame, put into a cel and sold as great meaningful items.

I'm also very interested in how kirbypopstarhero got them, seeing that he also posted pics of his other cels in the other subforums. Really nice.

Oh man, I'm new to Clannad (PC visual novel only, so far) and to the whole genre, and I just ran someone's blog which had a bunch of pictures of a Kyou figurine. Then I starting flipping through this thread... I'm not normally someone who has strong buying urges, but something about Clannad bypasses my normal defense mechanisms. Right now I'm just hoping I don't see anything with Kotomi, as I would be doomed.

By the way, that Fuuko "cell" or whatever is very cute. It gives me the urge to show her the star and then shoot orange juice up her nose.

Try HobbyLink Japan. They sell merchandise at retail value and offer SAL shipping, which is about $15 cheaper than EMS shipping.
