I know i did this b4 but now its gone so.....which character has ur fave. fighting style? for ex. who do u like to see fight the most, for me, gotta be rock lee and neji, rock lee's style is just brutal.

Sasuke has a wicked style, it's so fancy and stuff. The Hyuuga style is good too but Sasuke's seems so much more refned.
God, I hate the anime for royally screwing up the Hinata-Neji fight. It was so friggin cool in the manga. I was watching the prelim arc specifically for that and the Lee-Gaara match. They did Lee going buck-freak wild pretty good, but the concentrated coolness of the Hinata-Neji match went AWOL. God that pissed me off. That match made Hinata cool.
The anime has one last chance to make the Hyuga-style look good -- the Neji vs. Naruto match in the finals. But, GOD why do we have to wait through all this sad filler. It's times like these I wish the anime would just ditch the manga and go straight for the good stuff. You guys have no idea how long it's going to be before we finally get to watch the finals.

gaara has no fighting style per se... what would it be? stand-there-and-do-nothing-while-your-enemy-tires-to-break-through-your-barrier style? he does not move, which makes it uncool
narutos is an awesome figher... but his style is not great, the fact he can get up and up again after being beaten down makes him great
sasuke has the best style. i love the flying wires and the contortionist-like moves that he pulls off.

Naruto is great,but his attacks are too careless so right now I wouldn't pick him yet.So I would choose Neji or Sasuke,but I don't know wich one of them...well,let's say Neji for now,he is aware off what he can do and he uses his Byakugan very well...though he underestimates his opponents at times.Mkay,my favourite is Neji :innocent:

Sasuke's style of fighting rocks. He can make flawless combo's using his skills. So can rock lee, but sasuke just looks cooler.

Neji's style looks cool but I want to see it against a crazy opponent like gaara or something as opposed to being matched up against a similar style...And as for the wires and all the shuriken combo's, nobody has anything on that triple blade that sasuke used against orochimaru in the forest. Although...Tenten had a really cool battle and I like projectiles a lot, especially the twin rising dragon thing.
I personally don't like kage bushinn as a move because its not nearly as refined or cool as some of the other moves. The brawler is kinda cool but not nearly as cool as some of the other styles. For example, even though rock lee is a straight taijustsu guy, his moves look soo much cooler than naruto's simple multiply move. Konoha sempu and of course ura renge...He's far more graceful and stylish than naruto.

lol, the fact that naruto's moves arn't really cool looking or graceful makes me like his style better.
the flashy stuff is what gets you killed, keep it simple.
Voted for Neji cause his is the coolest. Perfect defense and perfect offense.
I also like Sasuke...........all fighting styles are better than one fighting style
i like narutos... simply because it is powerful and simple...
i like the way he always gets his ass kicked but owns in the end...
A few battles that are particularly amazing
1. Owning Miruki in Ep. 1
2. Haku Fight... Kyubi-Beserk owns
3. Forest fight... owning the snake and bitching off Sasuke...
4. Forest fight... owning the three water guys... the ones with the masks...
Naruto owns...
im surprised no one voted Kakashi tho... i think he wouldve been my second most favorite...
but honestly... almost any fighting is good...
btw... how is Shikamaru good? i know he is... but how come? he only has his shadow move and it seemed like he had a semi-hard time even in the prelim...
To be fair, Neji would be crushed by Gaara. In order for Jyuken to work, there needs to be physical contact. And only super-high speed can get past the automatic sand barrier. Eventually, his perfect defense will use up his chakara while Gaara's sand requires no chakara unless he uses it directly. Also Gaara can't be beat by a human being -- won't spoil it for those who haven't read the manga. It's a theme of this series that is pissing me off.
However, any oppenent Neji can touch, Neji takes down fast. Wait until you see his super move. Naruto is beaten down completely -- but the Kyuubi bails him out (a pattern that we are going to see repeating itself again and again).

As I said before,Naruto is too careless,that's why I haven't picked him up,otherwise he would be my favourite.But I wonder...what if Shikamaru do a KageBunshin and the shadow clone beats the guy that's caught by Shika's shadow?(of course,he must do the repplication before using the shadow technique).If he cand do that,then he would be my favourite :)

Rock lee style kick ass URA-RENGE ^^ is the best fighting style
The Hyuga's style, the gentle fists, is definetely the best fighting style. The fighting style of a true gentleman, it's beautiful to see Neji fighting.
i agree that neji's style is very graceful and smooth yet still effective but i really like the hard hitting combos lee puts together. and lotus is an awesome attack. cuz when lee fights he doesnt hit the person with fire or anything he just beats the pulp out of them, thats wut makes it cool.
ARGH!!! I hate how the anime tottaly screwed over the Neji-Hinata fight. Crap animation, screwed up their forms and motions major. Judging by by the manga, they were moving a lot more -- it looked 10x more skillfull than in the anime.
I just hope to God the anime doesn't screw up the Neji-Naruto fight in the finals. I swear they better not screw up his final technique. That kicks so much ass it's indescribable.
I'd have to say my favourite fighting style would be Rock Lee's and that is what I voted for. That would be because he just has brute speed and power. Since I have not read the manga I cannot know what comes later so I cannot rightfully vote for Naruto as his style right now is very sloppy, and he almost wins by fluke. I realize he is not a genius like Neji, or a master like Lee but, he hasn't shown very much potential in strategy and skill up to the point the anime is at.
On the other hand, Lee is amazing, he is so fast and still so very powerful. Just take the Gaara - Rock Lee fight, Lee showed his true potential in that fight and I think if it was anyone other than Gaara or Neji, Lee would own them in a second. I don't know why but I just really enjoy watching Lee fight.

Sasuke and Naruto, although Sasuke has superior style of fighting in the anime..Then again Sasuke was the Rookie of the year and Naruto was just dead last in every aspect of the Ninja Skills..Naruto has lot to learn to be as stylish fighter as Sasuke and Naruto has great learning ability..We can see that when Naruto beats the guy with the dog (forgot his name) using Rock Lee move he saw in an earlier fight against Sasuke..Naruto showed some other graceful moves throughout the series and he is only gonna get better..Naruto's unique fighting ability would be his ability to get back up which can discourage any opponent...All these said, Sasuke has showed superior fighting style in the series upto episode 57...

If you have read the manga then there is asolutely no reason to pick Lee's style over Sasuke's because...
Sasuke copied Lee's taijutso completely. By the time of the finals he has Lee's speed and can do all his moves.

I agree with all who think the Naruto-style is quite worthless up til now. The outcome of his fight against Kiba was unfair. He beat him only with luck (remember the fart), and a good share in his wins against other opponents is that they underestimate him and because of this, he performs an unexpected move and defeats them. That's what I think anyway.
And I like both Lee's and Sasuke's fighting-styles, but I'll go for Sasuke.

Naruto did his own version of Sasuke's Lion Combo, and Sasuke's lion combo was a version of a move Rock Lee does.

You said: using ROCK LEE move, but the Uzumaki Naruto combo is nowhere near Lee's moves against Sauke and it's not alike Sasuke's Lion combo either, Kakashi just says that the name is a copy. The only thing that connects the three is that the tagets all are kicked up into the air.

lets start from the bottom:
non-nins (konohonohamaru lol)
they use cheap props... rocks and crap.
genins (naruto n buddies)
mainly punches n kicks with very little jutsu.
chunins (iruka shika etc)
mix of jutsues strats, rarly any physical tai jutsus.
juninins (kakashi, anko, the teachers ect..)
lotta jutsus and few physical attacks.
kakashi vs zabuza.. 80% of fight is jutsus.
kakashi n pals vs itachi n pal 90% jutsus
sennin (jarayra, tsnunade, oro)
all jutsus (expect tsnuade.. shes has more power in tai jutsus??)
summons... spells (underground swamp, neck bite, hair pokes, blah blah.)
kages (hokage)
3rd vs oro... summons madnesss on jutsus.. very little .. or close to non tai jutsus.

I think they don't need to waste stamina on taijutsu because they're ninjas there suppose to be quiet ans secretive. Ninjas are suppose to be smart they don't just run out of no where and fight they use there heads to win battles. But i like taijutsu i think its hot. I wanna see two people fight while using taijutsu that would be hot.

Hmm, this list seems a little flawed to me. It seems like everyone in the Chuunin exam uses either jutsus, special abilities or their advanced bloodlines. The only person who doesnt use any Jutsu's is Rock Lee... And he uses a huge special ability. Most people win without even using one physical attack!
Hayate vs Baki - both of their ninjutsu were extensions of their taijutsu skills
Sandaime vs Oro - started off as a jutsu battle, but then ended as a hand-to-hand fight using weapons
Even Sarutobi said something to the effect of 'screw this ninjutsu crap, we're gonna fight'.
Asuma vs the Sound ninja - stabbed/cut them all
The Rasengan, Chidori, and Kagebunshin are jutsus that add to hand-to-hand combat, not replace it.

Actually like Raikage said, the majority of the ninjas use Taijutsu mixed with Ninjutsu to improve it.
The Hyuga are all Taijutsu specialist using their special bloodline jutsu.
Choji or Kiba use taijutsu as well, improved with their abilities to grow bigger or become half animal.
And it's the case for almost all the ninja known.
in the hokage battle, the 3rd wacked like once? and the stick was basically fighting by it self... and hokage learn that using those wacking attacks are waste of stregth.. it does no effect.
Hayate vs Baki - for all we know hayate's moon dance could be a genjutsu...( he like splitted him self n then cuts baki.) baki killed him with some kinda wind jutsu (we don't even know wat it is) and i don't think u would consider that as tai jutsu...

Sasuke just abuses it IMO (wasted on Gaara's sand shield, shoulda just katon and boil gaara inside the shell... wastes it on monsterform gaara, even though it did like nothing, runs in rage and blindly at itachi without thinking, usues it on naruto when he saw naruto's unknow chakra ball...
after all sasuke is a genin, he prefers tai jutsu... giving him chidori is kind of a waste, he abuses it without thinking.
Kagebunshin is also a move abused by naruto, becuz he had more chakra stamina than normal ppl. normally ppl won't last long with it. even the monkey king said that 3rd probably didn't have enouf chakra to use bunshin at oro.

if yur going to think in that way then it is basically because the genins havn't learned alot of jutsu's .. especially difficult ones ... and also havn't learned to control there chakra perfectly .. and there chakra stamina isn't that high yet.... so by the time they reach jounin they have learned how to master these things much better so they would be able to use alot of jutsu's ...but i have seen genins use alot of jutsus if u ask me

Personally I like Naruto's fighting style its not definite at all. That time when he fought gaara and used a headbutt to finish him.... I mean I understand if your Hanamichi from Slam dunk but man that aint no definite style. Very Unique.

While Hayate vs Baki did involve ninjutsu/genjutsu, I still consider it a form of taijutsu-related combat.
The sword that pierced Baki's armor was still a sword, was it not?
The genjutsu was used as a distraction, while the sword (physical) did the damage.
The blade of wind is a little trickier, as it is meant to replace a real sword. I considered it to be a weapon, but it can also be considered a ninjutsu.

No matter what, you can't change two facts established in the manga.
• He's a Jounin
• He used hand-to-hand skills to take out the Sound nins
You COULD potentially make the argument that he's a hand-to-hand specialist, but that argument is very, VERY weak (supported by something he didn't do, rather than something he said/DID do.)
Chidori and Rasengan
You yourself said it requires a strong taijutsu base; that is, without solid fighting skills it becomes inefficent and practically unusable. I see no issue here.
Kagebunshin:
To me, it pairs most well with taijutsu (strength in numbers).
It offers absolutely NO advantage to genjutsu tactics.
Because your chakra is evenly distributed among the remaining clones, the clones will not be able to perform certain ninjutsu (requires too much chakra) or be able to perform as MANY as you could without going into Kagebunshin.
A smart ninja might not go as jutsu-crazy as you seem to think. It consumes tons of chakra and takes more time than taijutsu to execute, so you're slower and can't go as long. If you DO hit, though, it's a devestating weapon.
Kakashi is a ninjutsu specialist. Of course that's going to be his primary tool.
Gai is a taijutsu specialist. If I remember correctly,
Itachi was a bit more hestitant to fight Gai than Kakashi.
(vs Kakashi) You ain't sh*t compared to me.
(vs Gai) Don't underestimate this man.

well i like the way the fighting..
Neij for exemple uses a form of material arts similar to my owen (i use softhands to but the standing position is different)
Rock lees fighting style is similar to bruce lees (not just the name ^^) ok bruce uses kicks to but the one hand behinde the back is a masters habit i like that, its also mixed with cabuera.
Sasukes's style is pure freestyle hes just acting and moving on hes freewill (i think he pays more atention to the oponents movment)
And Naruto... has the I-just-wanna-hit-the-dude-fightingstyle
*dream* i wish i had a combo of neij and sasuke's eyes so i can coppy moves read them before don and hit the chakracrosslines (or the japaness word for it i can't even speak ^^)

I think Rock Lee definitley has the best fight style in the series. Even he cant any kind of jutsu, hes still able to bust ass. And if you guys saw the fight between him and kimimaru, you already know what i mean so i dont think i have to say anymore.

I don't think you will find many connections to any real martial arts, since gravity is very different in naruto :P
What comes closest, to anything real, is probably sasuke when he fights with at least one leg on the ground.

Of the choices given I'd go with Rock Lee...I'm all about big damage taijutsu and fast moves.
However, my favorite style overall is Shikotsumyaku...Kimimaro's style is just plain awesome. I also like Tsunade...once again, big damage hits.
Sakura? Ooo! I can do her fighting style! You stand in front of some noncombatant clutching a kunai in both hands looking worried as other people fight!

The Hyuga's Jūken reminds me of a combination of Baguazhang styles with elements of Tai Chi thrown in.
Gōken smacks of Muay Thai, Xingyiquan, and certain elements of Taekwon Do.
I'm trying to think if I can't pick out any specific elements of Sasuke or Naruto's styles...nothing's really coming to mind.

Everyone else's styles have a somewhat "strict" code as to how to inflict damage on the opponent. Neji's style has to adhere to that of the Hyuuga style, Lee's (and to an extent Sasuke's) styles resemble that of Bruce Lee and so on. Naruto's I prefer for 2 reasons: 1) It's quite flexible albeit costly and it leaves him open for attacks. 2) It is the style that allows for my favorite phrase "To Hell with strategy. Just drive forward" to come alive.

I do love Naruto's style...some of those Kage Bushin moves are pretty damned inventive. The move that comes most readily to mind is the long chain of Narutos in the fight with Sasuke.
That Uz-U-Ma-Ki Rendan move that he does rarely is cool:P
It's too bad that we can't do shadow replications in RL.... yet...

I agree...i voted Neji aswell...Juuken is just awesome :D....though Lee fights also pretty good.
Neji's fighting style seems like shoalin style...while Lee's looks more like Karate.
Naruto's fighting style is sloppy (looks like street fighting)
Gaara/Haku doesnt fight at all...(no taijutsu)
Sakura well she fought pretty good against Ino....but that's it..
Rock Lee, Neji either....when it comes to hand to hand physical combat (taijutsu)
but when it comes (ninjutsu/genjutsu) hmmm Gaara always look so cool for me...:)
Sakura... maybe in the future (shippuden) she will improved...:)

The thing about it is, Jyuuken effects everyone the same. You can't strength your internal organs and thus everyone's system is suspectible. Gaara found away around hard hits as did Sasori. Some people have a higher tolerance for direct pain, but the organs are much more sensitive than bone and muscle. Imagine if Neji also knew the medical ninjutsu that Kabuto knows. No one would be safe.
As fighting style refers to taijutsu I would go with Rock Lee a close second and third would be Neji and Sauckay .

I'd have to say that Haku is my favorite for fighting style. Haku had a unique style of fighting being that he uses only one hand to perform seals, something that even the copy cat ninja never had seen before. The ability to shape water and ice was cool too,

Well some of us are still back here with the anime. :p Most likely this poster hasn't seen Sakura post time skip...and if that's the case she's on par with Ino as far as fighting goes. And on par with Ino in my book is pretty crappy. Anyways, I went with Neji/Hinata. I figure once you've learned that style, mixing it with pretty much any other style has the potential to be all the more potent. Once they hit you it's pretty much game over...for anyone that doesn't have a secret second pool of Kyubi chakra to pull from.
I wonder if it's possible to get some of the more recently introduced fighting styles(characters) added into the vote or get it restarted as characters develop...

with their attack power they can hurt/kill anyone
and even if they can't hit you, you can not attack them, because of their
"complete defence" moves.
so if you don't have some "extra" skill you don't stand a chance

This is about favorite fighting style, so it's useless to talk about who's stronger. I chose Neji, cause it just looks awesome. With the Hyuga style you actually see the different stance's which all look pretty cool after that you have Lee's taijutsu. It's wrong btw to compare Sasuke to Lee, I highly doubt Sasuke can open the various gates or that he can fight the drunken fist. With the others you don't see that much. I don't think Naruto or Sakura have a specific style in the end it's all pretty random.

He may not be the greatest 1 v 1 fighter, but I'd choose no one else to lead a group I was in. With the ability to rationally think so far ahead, his battle strategies are quite difficult to counter. Concurrently, while his techniques do not offer themselves as highly destructive, his ability to completely immobilize the enemy makes him a very dangerous opponent.
Essentially, the purpose of his abilities combined with his capacity for quick thinking make him a very dangerous shinobi.

Er, this was really tough, but I went with Rock Lee. I would also vote Neji, if I could. Both are awesome taijutsu styles.
Sikamaru's style has some weakness, fighting in night, something like absolute darkness when the 2nd used against 3rd. For me i like the way pein fights even though he used summons as shields, its pretty dangerous as he could kill most without ever getting hurt. I guess naruto will get a similar style fighting alongside summons with some scrolls. Its effective for mass slaughtering compared to sharingan which shows true power in one on one.
if only by brute strenght Sakura should be no 1 in this list...
Kimimaro dances and Hidan's slash you then run into my circle while swearing styles are my favs but out of the characters involved in the poll i'd have to go with Haku.
watching rock lee fight gaara was exhilirating, so i picked him. neji has awesome style as well as kakashi who's moves you only really figure out after he explains them lol. Naruto just does kage bunshin no jutsu so he can die. most of the characters have great, unique fighting style's though so its difficult to seperate them.

It is a really fluid style, which the anime has portrayed quite well with Neji, not so much with Hinata. Plus I've started taking Pa Kua lessons, where Kishi got his inspiration for the "Jyuuken" style taijutsu

It's a really hard choice because there are a lot of fights that I've enjoyed. The first being the first Kakashi v Zabusa fight(s). I still like that since he's the copy ninja that he doesn't always use the name jutsu. It's a nice variety.
Kimimaro pulling out his spinal column was pretty impressive as well.
I ended up voting for Rock Lee just because I like his (and Gai's) taijutsu style. Being a master of the drunken fist pushed it over the edge for me.

Then when its time to finish the battle, just bust a little sand coffins and then if the opponent is tough...crank out a sand graveyard. But I would sleep more because the ladies dont really like big a$$ dark circles under the eyes.

Kakashi´s is a great mixture of Shikamaru´s and Sasuke´s style, and Shikamaru fights the most interesting way, in my opinion.

Currently I'd vote Sasuke; Yeah he is a god and all that but c'mon. He still fights like a ninja. Pulling up some sleek ninja techniques and all that. Using all of his arsenals; his Genjustu and Ninjustus (though I'm pretty sure he's pretty GAR in taijustu since he copiec Rock Lee's moves). After all; Naruto is supposed to be a "NINJA" type shonen series. Naruto doesn't even fight like a ninja; He's more like a Son Goku clone or something; You know; get up when got beaten down; get some kick-ass techniques and be its trump card to end a battle even though the odds are against him and all that.
Next would be Negi for me (sadly; we aren't getting enough fights from him; where is he anyway). Next is Shikamaru (any ninja should have or at least that kind of IQ if you'd ask me).

hmmm, i find Kakashi's style to be intriguing, though i like Rock Lee's style because his techniques are solely Taijutsu and his incredible speed. Kakashi's style though, well, when he fights he always cautious about an ememy's abilities and like Shikamaru he sort of plans out his moves. Since his only original move is Raikiri, aka: Chidori, he uses a lot of unique and different jutsus in a fight, and now with his new Sharingan, i cant wait to see another fight scene with him.

I think Lee's was the best, though I don't really like him as much as a character, he's the only guy with that Druken fist and awesome Taijutsu that you can get pumped up just by watching it.

Anyways, I vote sasuke.. he is the closest to itachi and if anyone has read ahead
Sasuke is pretty cool with his summoning snakes, reversing the MS eye technique on itachi, chidori current and his lightning swords... and nobody can forget KIRIN.... besides sasuke has the MS now... he is obviously the strongest of the main protagonists.
He can easily tool kakashi now (look at how easy itachi did it)... naruto is a joke because sasuke can supress the fox. Sasuke has killed deidara, orochimaru, and Itachi.... although the only legitimate win would be deidara. Nonetheless he has the best style.
