Medieval time sort of anime. Something like Scrapped princess or WOW.

Hi guys. I was wondering if there was any anime that had some sort of medieval theme to it.

Well the finest example that i have seen would be

Scrapped princes which i liked.

Also World of warcraft is another example ( i know its not an anime). Something that the main characters fight usually with swords and magic. Well as long as it has those qualities i dont mind if it has any other genre to it too. It could even relate to modern life as long as it has some sort of what i described above.

Let me see , few more examples would be : ( * to show the relevance of what i am looking for )

Fate Stay Night is a good one. They get ancient greek and other sources of heroes to come and fight for the charcters of the story. It's pretty cool espcially if you know a bit about greek myth.

Another one could be Zero no Tsukaima where the main hero Saito is sent back in time to a magical world. He discovers his own destiny amongst the tribulations and dangers that surround him in this new world.

The Twelve Kingdoms is a FANTASTIC one. Story follows our protoganist who is sent back in time to a far away land. AWESOME story about kingdoms, wars and magic.

Claymore ,which just recently finished, is a gritty dark anime about monsters with tons of sword and magical fights.

Beserk. Really violent medieval anime about a black knight seeking revenge.

You might also take a look at Shura no Toki (http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=1663). I would suggest watching the first two arcs (the anime is divided into 3 different stories) and skipping the third, as it was kind of lame/boring.

Lets see how can i explain it. Something that you have a king, commander, general. And also more action based. Lets say a mix of bleach/calymore fighting and Of course twelve kingdom theme.

You know how naruto have a good plot but there are ninjas? i want the same sort of anime that revolves more around what i said above.

There isn't much comparable to Scrapped Princess itself, but just for a matter of royalty with battles and rebels etc...

Juuni Kokki (aka Twelve Kingdoms) as already said, definitely top notch material there.

Saiunkoku Monogatari to an extent, though it doesn't have much action, there is a lot of political intrigue with generals and other nobles plotting against each other, rebels and whatnot.

Code Geass (though by your avatar I imagine you've seen it, plus it's futuristic, not fantasy...)

Escaflowne, as mentioned.

Magic Knight Rayearth, kinda.

Not much else comes to mind, not really a whole lot of fantasy anime around that I can recall off the top of my head, much less stuff with the sort of story elements you're after.

Someone already mentioned it, but his description is sort of off, it's not really about a "black knight seeking revenge."

Can't say I think it's much like WoW, though, since I find that utterly boring.
