Maria-sama - Requests for new threads

Since the Maria-sama forum is limited (only Mods and Admin can create new threads), this thread serves as a way to request a new thread to be created.

Please post here if you wish to request a new Maria-sama thread. Please bear in mind that we will only accept reasonable requests, we wish to maintain the focus within the forum and cut down on the noise (so no pointless threads cluttering up the place).

Don't forget that you may still post in existing threads as usual, the only restriction is that you may not create new threads within this particular forum.

Sounds reasonable. We have a number of existing Novel threads (for specific volumes) already but you are asking for a generic thread for any and all novel discussion (which will allow spoilers to be posted).

I see that the Rosa Character poll is still active, but shouldn't there be a poll of ALL Lillian characters as well? I'm sure that there are a few Kanako and TSUTAKO :love: fans out there just dying to get their opinions out.

I don't usually post to character polls, but they're always interesting to see, so I support this thread (Now if only I can get more people to post in the novels thread....:sad:) BUT, there are far too many characters to put in one poll (not to mention some characters fade out, while new charaters are introduced).

Now, how should we do this? Should we wait until season 4 starts, since 1 major character and 2 sub characters should be introduced by then? Anyway, here's my list for season 3 characters + misc characters not covered by the previous poll. Grouped by Lilian first, Roses first, and age first (Yumi gets special treatment)

I'm starting (yet another) Maria-sama ga Miteru translation project:

I'm not exactly looking for any translating help for it, because I'm (still) fairly confident that I can chew through the series alone (for now), but I'm hoping I could get some proof-reading help. I try to proof read at least one time after I translate, but I think the whole process would go faster if I concentrated on translating and let other people pick out problems and correct wordings and typos and stuff.

Just got this while visiting Cobalt's website... it's Yuuki on that cover, in the Reine Hibiki style.

After some discussion at the Garden of Maidens comm at LJ (http://community.livejournal.com/gardenofmaidens/191279.html), one of the members translated what's on the magazine cover: "Oshakasama mo Miteru" or "Buddha is Watching Too" and it appears to be a spinoff, the Hanadera equivalent of Marimite.

Would like to have further clarification on this, because it's an unexpected turn... and (knowing the eccentric composition of Yuuki's school council in the OVA) it could be comedy gold.

I've always wondered why the Marimite forums have always lacked character discussion forums for the main protagonists (basically all past, current and future Roses, and maybe a special category for "Rosa Camera" - who is sorely lacking appearances in season 4 btw). After all it is a character-driven story.

But I guess there isn't enough activity in the sub-forums to justify the creation of such threads either...

Pretty much. There isn't a lot of reason to create threads where nobody is going to post much.
