Claymore Chapter 79 DELAYED until May

I'm sorry, but Yagi is taking a break for a month in order to ensure that the Claymore manga will continue to be good. Yeah that's disappointing as all heck, but nobody wants to see Claymore start to suck like the anime's episodes 23-26. The manga will return with Chapter 79 on May 4th.

With a stop in action, we may even see a scene shift and see something regarding Isley, Priscilla, and Raki after the 7 year time skip.

Most originals are made in China anyway... Bootlegged stuff could be factories making more than ordered and selling/giving extras to private people.

You will be surprise most of the bootlegged are actually originals.
they are out there because
1) Those are originals but fail quality control. When transport for destruction... they fall into enterprising people.
2) They are organize because most jobs are scarce thereabout. Infact it is the only country I know that issue Identity Card on where they were born and work. Therefore if one is born in Xiamen they cant work in Shanghai. It is like entering another country. I guess I can understand why, since it going to be hard to move in Shanghai if half a billion people stay and work there. Which technically explain why a single task can be streamline into workforce. Therefore whatever they do. They do it by commitee. :D

I couldn't remember the numbers so I googled it and found this

The tough part for me is that most kanji's have multiple readings. I know it should be simple, but sometimes I just get confused at the On and Kun and all that jazz. So even if I understand the basic meaning I don't know how to pronounce it. With my conversational skills much better than my reading skills it is kind of a drag. Although working through the raws is not so bad because of that beautiful furigana that allows me to cheat :)

When I took japanese lessons during the days, my japanese teacher left me all of Vagabond. Lol, appearantly it's a lot less costly to buy the entire manga back in japan over shipping it there.

Anyway, I gave up trying to decipher it.. my head cracked sooner than expected. :eyespin: My current knowledge of Kanji is around 150 - 200 basics, and it's barely enough to read an advertisment. :upset:

If the Organization is taken out this early on, we have about 9+ volumes for Riful and Priscilla + Isley, which seems a bit much.

I still can't even begin imagining the kind of "revenge" Miria is going to undertake.
I mean, Ok the org has wronged them but a question remains: Who will be taking care of Yoma and how? Suppose the claymore do it for free, they still can't kill all of them cuz they're too many out there. Besides, they themeselves will one day awaken, even if they do kill the abyssals.

If Yagi makes the org as the main source of evil then it's gonna suck; he might as well say they inbred the yoma to begin with then.. :mad: Or it's just gonna be this catchy morale saying - "We have learned something today, didn't we children? it doesn't matter if the Yoma are eating us, we just can't allow bad people to create hybrids to kill those yoma for money and later awaken into even scarier things, because that will be a mess. I don't know the only claymore's that are really any threat to the ghosts are the top 5 even then I think they would only be a threat if they where fighting a ghost one on one, Alicia and Beth are a different matter indivudally there as strong if not stronger than Teresa.If they beat those 36 it would more or less destroy the ORG.

Even though I think it's fake it would be a nice way for claymore to progress fighting like that could have so many outcomes and would leave us on the edge of our seats for months.

Galatea won't aske such a silly question like "What I'm to do now?" She can decide things by her own thought. The possible outcome should be Miria or Clare ask Galatea "What do you want to do from now on?" instead.

Ghost suddenly release Yoki and rush to confront the org are nonsense. Miria won't do something as reckless like that. Plus, only Miria knows about Alicia and Beth and even if she tell this to her friend. Alicia is on abyssal level which means she's at least on par with Riful who they can't even dare to fight.

Any chapter 79 that would not provide a detailed and credible exit route for Clarice and Miata would be a huge, huge disappointment.

By exit route, I mean anything from joining the ghosts, playing spy for them in the org, or reaching an agreement about letting Galatea stay hidden in Rabona to cowardly flight, rescue by another party, or intervention of Rabona's army and jail time, as long as it's shown and the reasons behind it are explained and consistent.

A short flash on them outside the city like in the fake would suck beyond imagination, it would properly destroy any relevance the Rabona arc could have beside showing that the ghosts, much like the cavalry, arrive always in time and kick serious ass.

Yep, right now currently at volume 14/15, so Claymore's story is just a little over halfway from being completed.

The dub quality will be determined first by which studio does it. If Funi's in-house one does the job, expect it to suck deeper than Asia Carrera, people's affections for FMA not withstanding.

Well, I gotta disagree with you there. I liked DBZ dubbed.. a lot even..

But again, I haven't seen too many good dubbed anime to begin with. Maybe it wasn't supposed to be dubbed.. the mouth movements aren't too various because they're made to fit the fast japanese dialogue.

Proper mouth flap synching is part of the trade of ADR, even English productions which dialogue are recorded in ADR. You would expect any anime to abide by this trade practice. Check out the GitS SAC dub for a comparison of better ADR work, then say again that GW and DBZ were performed well.

Yu Yu Hakusho was the best dub ever imho. That aside, I'm not very interested in the Claymore dubbing, especially when most of the characters are female. These days, the english voice acting tends to be quite flat and rushed tbqh. Lately, every studio has simply been dubbing to provide fan-service and nothing else. I hated the dubs for Blood+ and FMA. I doubt Claymore will be any different.

As for the next chapter, I am getting tired of waiting every month, but it doesn't surprise me those seven are closing in on the org. That's what they set out to do after all. It won't end there tho. I could speculate that they'll run into Alicia or someone highly ranked in the organization, duke it out and possibly discover that the org itself is actually behind the Yoma infestation just to hash out gold from all the villages and towns.

I'm happy with whatever schedaule Yagi feels comfortable with. The quality of the manga is the most important thing - whether I read 79 this month or next month... well... obviously I have a preference, but... well... if Yagi needs some time off to make Claymore the best it can be, then by all means, I'm happy to wait patiently for it.

(weekly or biweekly releases would degrade the quality too much I think.)

New Claymore chapters come out in JumpSQ's (Jump Square) monthly magazine. The release date for each magazine is at the beginning of each month.

Unfortunately, it seems like Norihiro Yagi (the mangaka or "author" of Claymore) is taking a break this month, and we will have to wait till the beginning of May for the newest chapter. It's still not confirmed yet, so we're not totally sure. But, it's looking more and more likely to be the case.

Since you're going to be waiting with us for a month anyways, you might as well go back and go through the chapters that you haven't read, even though you saw the anime. There are some differences between the two, and it's still a good read.

We're now close enough to publication that I believe the chapter would have been leaked in advance as usual. It seems that the little note at the end of chapter 78 was mistranslated due to the confusion resulting from the May issue being released in April.

I'm sorry, but Yagi is taking a break for a month in order to ensure that the Claymore manga will continue to be good. Yeah that's disappointing as all heck, but nobody wants to see Claymore start to suck like the anime's episodes 23-26. The manga will return with Chapter 79 on May 4th.

Everyone can now go and mope.
