While you not asking when the next episode is going to be released, the question you pose is close enough that I've closed the thread.

So as per the forum rules (http://forums.animesuki.com/announcement.php?f=10)...

Do not ask for when stuff will be released
Do not ask when episodes will be released. They'll be released once the fansub group is finished with them. All your whining will do is irritate fansub group staff and make them leave the scene. And that will mean even slower releases or none at all. So just have some PATIENCE. Threads which break this rule will be deleted.

If you do want to find more, then I would suggest you have a look at the release schedule of Prince of Tennis from A-O. We have all the release dates on AnimeSuki (http://www.animesuki.com/series.php/49.html). You should easily see that the releases are not always regular. Just because they do not release an episode every week, doesn't mean they are giving up on the project.

So I suggest that you...
* wait a week, if no new episode is released, then...
* wait another week, if no new episode is released, then...
* wait a further two weeks, if no new episode is released, then...
* wait a further month, and so on, and so on.

If you can't access thier IRC channel, have a look at thier web site, we have a link to it on AnimeSuki (http://www.animesuki.com/group.php/35.html). See if they have made any announcements, if they haven't, then chances are they are still subbing it but just haven't made any releases recently.

Just have patience, let Anime-Otakus continue with the fine job they are doing with PoT and let them release it at their rate.

If you are looking for the Fan-Subbed version....... Sorry, ep 98 was the newest eps.
Unless you want to see it RAW....

yup... no subbed versions out there... for more info look it up on Anime Otakus website..... it shows their progress.... right now, 99 is being timed and 100 is being transalated... i think..... slightly slow but I guess they've got quite a bit on their hands

Just because a fansubber is delayed on releasing episodes for a show does not necessarily mean they have dropped it. They would announce that first.

And if you even watched ep 98 of PoT you would have seen the next ep preview for 99...

This seems a common question with Prince of Tennis fans recently... There seems to have been a flurry of "Has A-O stopped fansubbing PoT", "When are A-O going to release the next episode of PoT". Please have a look at the release record of PoT (http://www.animesuki.com/series.php/49.html), you will see that A-O tend to release in clumps.

Just be patient, A-O will release more when they are ready. Be grateful that a group is fansubbing the series and doing such a good job of it.

For those who can't wait, go here to get episode 115 (Not Sub,not Dub), http://bt.greedland.net/download.php?btId=9183

Notice that this episode is totally of course, you do not need episode 100-114 to understand this episode as it is just a chibi special (baseball and cowboy) like prince of billiard and prince of bowling.

For the rest of episode 100-114, you can get them through http://bt.greedland.net/
But you will to understand some chinese to search for prince of tennis. This is the chinese term to use 网球王子. NOTE: (1) Not everything that appear are PoT episodes, some are just requests. (2) If there are no seeds for a particular file, try to go again on Sunday (China Time??).

Is POT licensed??? I'm confused.... I thought those links were legitimate

It's that the link goes to a chinese fansub (?) / distribution (?) group which also contains licensed material. Trouble is, I'm not sure if they contain English translations or are just raws / chinese fansubs.

PoT isn't licensed.

But this thread is in the incorrect forum (since it discusses where to find anime and not about the actual anime series) so will move it to General Anime.

:hmm: Aren't you just asking "when is the next episode released" in a round-about way?

I mean, it's fairly easy to find out when the last one was released...

It's not licensed (or at least it hasn't been announced as such), but yeah the group subbing Prince of Tennis has been falling behind lately. They're up to episode 130 on TV I believe and we're still at 115 subbed.

DrWho2002
2004-04-17, 17:50
So what if they're behind the raws? We're not the bosses of them, they can do as they like. Someone get a mod down here to shut this thread down. Buncha whiners.

Gotta love people who are over-protective of fansub groups. I was simply informing him that the group subbing Prince of Tennis was falling behind. He asked why there hasn't been any PoT subs lately.

Simply stating that they're behind is *not* whining. So far no-one in the post has broke a rule, so the mods have no reason to close this.

I am wondering if Prince of tennis has been licensed och is about to be, because Itīs been a really long time since any episodes was subbed and I know that there are at least 10 episodes out on raw that hasnīt been subbed yet.
This is not a way of whining or asking when the next ep is coming, I just find it strange that they release a bunch of episodes in just a few days, and then when the match that everyone has been waiting for is about to begin, they just stop subbing for a month, which seem like a strange place to stop..

Well Funimation has a Prince of Tennis related domain name. But currently that's
not confirmed yet (they also had kodocha.tv however, and that is licensed now).

In any case: this page still exists and is full of working links:
http://www.animesuki.com/series.php/49.html

Thus, and this goes for ALL series -- if it's not marked as licensed and you can still
find links for older episodes on AnimeSuki, IT IS NOT LICENSED! Period.
(unless we missed it, in which case it'll be quickly removed...)

Now as for what's happening... it seems Anime-Otaku's likes to "burst" episodes sometimes.
So just be patient. Each time we think they've dropped it they release another new batch :)

:topicoff:
If FUNimation does pick this up, and assuming they give it the Yu Yu Hakusho treatment as opposed to the Dragon Ball Z/GT treatment, I'd be pretty glad that a distributor like FUNimation got it because I know they'll try to put it on TV, and I'm very very curious to see if a sports anime could succeed on US TV...

There is the exact same thread started in the general anime section. I wonder if it was by the same person who posted this thread.

I wish people would be a little smarter, just because something hasn't been released for a little while they automatically assume it's become licensed. Look up information first, there are plenty of places on the web which report this sort of thing, BEFORE asking questions and wasting people's time. What's that saying? "Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt." Sooo many people could benefit from this ideology.

Isn't it one of the rules of the forum to not ask when stuff comes out???? People seem to be forgetting that here.

Prince of tennis is licienced in Hong Kong, Cable TV channel 11 or the childrens channel.

Okay, first off, I have heard that there are some unaired episodes of FMP: Fumoffu. I was just wondering exactly HOW MANY there are. I looked in the AniDB database and they have five seperate "specials" that contained unaired episodes, but te description sounds the same for a couple of them. So I was wondering if anyone out there had them all and knew. Are there only two? Because I have two unaired episodes, but I wasn't sure if they're were more.

Secondly, does anyone know where I can get a good episode of Prince of Tennis 24 by anime-otakus? When I burned the one I had on CD and then tried to watch it, it was all choppy. I've downloaded the pack twice, borrowed a friend's version, and it still does this. Also, no matter how slow or fast I burn it it turns out glitchy. I was just wondering if there is a way to fix this or is everyone's version like this?
And speaking of Anime-Otakus, I was wondering: they haven't release a new Prince of Tennis in quite a long while. I think the RAWs are up in the 130's and the last one they released awhile ago was 115. I was just wondering if they are taking a break, or have dropped it or what. Their website doesn't give any info (at least every time I've been there it hasn't) and I was hoping maybe someone here knew them or knew what was going on and could tell me. Cause I REALLY need to see the next tourney match in Prince of Tennis!! Thanks everyone. Sorry for the long post but these questions have been bothering me for some time. Thanks to all that take the time to read and help out.

Now if someone could just help me in my inquiry about Prince of Tennis.

I suggest you post the question in the correct forum (Playback Help). I know the answer is most likely going to be "download and install ffdshow".

Closing thread. If you want further info with FMP?F, I suggest you post in the FMP forum :)

Anime-Otakus hasn't released a PoT episode since 115, and I know the RAWs are way ahead. Does anyone know if they stopped subbing PoT or what's going on?

This is probably asked at least 10 times a month (though probably more). Anime-Otakus has NOT STOPPED SUBBING PRINCE OF TENNIS. They simply release their fansubs in bursts!
