Please don't stop posting Ranka images!
I'm one of the Ranka fans here ( I think Sheryel can be a little rude sometimes thats why I don't like her) and this is the only site I can find any decent Ranka images.
None the less it is kinda true that people make fun of Ranka all the time, that was just one sheryel comment.

Let me deal with my PMS first because one of the Japanese fansite I loved to death shut one of the section-Wait, lemme rephrase that... CHANGED every single section to Macross Section and yes, you guessed it, it's all about Ranka. Might be why I'm a bit pissed off this morning :heh:

Anyhoo, the file is still in my Recycle Bin and still can be picked up :D Just wait 'till I manage to pick them up first and my PMS become a bit lower :heh:

(Although the reason why I am a bit iffy before doesn't lie on the Sheryl comments... :p Oh well, everything is fine now that I finally found out one of my favourite artists' site XD *has gotten her BL dose of the day* Move on~)

Both are actually very random strips :heh:

The first one with wanko, the dialogue is very similar to the anime where wanko asks Alto to go with her. Then Alto mutters: "Big Sam" (in katakana, it's "bigu samu", so I guess it's big sam and I have no idea what that means, lol).

And then he starts glomping Ai-kun saying how cute he is (saying it really hyper too). The last panel is wanko's "goodbye, I loved you". Alto's screaming "BIG SAM" while on his knees.

The second strip with Sheryl, again it's similar from Klan and Alto's conversation from the anime. Alto says he'll kill her (wanko) and Klan's "so that's your love" statement. Sheryl's saying the same thing: "I knew it..."

Then Alto randomly says: "Big Sam" :heh: and Klan's all "???"

There's a note on the bottom left part about Big Sam's meaning. I'm not really sure if I'm right but it's saying like, if you don't know what it means, it's ok, it's an otaku term/slang. XD

Ooh! After checking it back, she does seem not to be the same girl as the first one :x Her eyebrows are thicker than the first one.

Cosplay costume is also a bit different-the second one uses black fishnet gloves with a little color change in the stocking frill :o Oh and her wig is also not highlighted with pink like the first one.

(And second one looks less chubby thn the first one :heh:)

Have to comment that Ranka would look cute altogether... If it's not for AV :x

I have a feeling the second one might be a professional cosplayer. There's just way too much detail in her costume and the photo editing is too good for a typical porno promotion. I also notice she's added a flower to her hair and the wig is curled at the ends. If it is the same model, then they've made some major improvements on the costume.

Ok, as usual no guarantees on my trans. >.< There's a lot of kanji flying around in these strips and most of them I can't read :heh:

I'm doing the first strip first...not only because I'm lazy but because I'm drained using a kanji radical index and a Chinese dictionary at the same time, lol! :blush: And even with these tools, I can't guarantee the correctness. :P

Hmmm... While the kanji is not of "baka" one, the context is fairly the same (If I didn't mistranslated it, since I'm fairly sure my brain is fried off right now after trying to kill myself with kanjis lol :heh:). :D

Translation Quickies! :D (summary only, wait for FD for the proper translation!)

Basically it takes after Sheryl was drunk. There she reminiscences about her childhood while feeling the warmth of the moment she is spending with Alto. She talks about wanting to spend the happy/peaceful time with Alto a bit more (LOL you know what happen later in Ep 24 and she is basically near death at that point). Childhood angst galore.

Panel before "Daijoubu" => Sheryl: "Don't leave me. Always stay at my side (zutto, Soba ni ina sai)"

Last part: "Samishii" : It's lonely. :o (Basically, Sheryl masks her own feeling by saying something akin to "don't worry/nothing" when Alto asks her why she acted like that :x)

Well, the only difference in this fan-comic strip is that the creator want to emphasize about (what she thinks/her take on) Sheryl's feeling in ep 22 LOL

Actually all 3 strips are really weird and really out of focus-which make the humor evaporate lol I don't have any intention to translate those 3 strips because all of them makes me "?_?" midway and I just decided to use speed-translate-fu... Which ends up in me being a lazy beech. :p

I don't have any clue (after finding out those damned kanjis in the note is the simplest kanji of "I won't be home"... Which I mistranslated to greeting because speed-translate lol) of what is happening in the 3rd comic strip too >_>; I mean, sure, I know Galaxy seem to not have Valentine and all... But... Is she trying to learn from Ranka how to make chocolate or what??? @_@

Ok, as usual no guarantees on my trans. >.< There's a lot of kanji flying around in these strips and most of them I can't read :heh:

I'm doing the first strip first...not only because I'm lazy but because I'm drained using a kanji radical index and a Chinese dictionary at the same time, lol! :blush: And even with these tools, I can't guarantee the correctness. :P

Ranzo to Alto: Repentance is a good thing
Alto: I don't have any regrets
Ranzo: Are you not listening
Alto: HA?
Ranzo (goes to Sheryl): Is this man really any good? (does this man really make you happy?)
Sheryl: Ano...

(I gave up on the other kanji, but unless I'm not sane anymore, Ranzo wants to be in the competition for Sheryl? Tak/Natsu, halp?)

2nd strip, Alto wants Sheryl to have earring back cuz he has her instead (I think...I'll read it more closely later after my kanji radical + Chinese dictionary-induced headache is gone).

3rd strip is about Valentines and Sheryl doesn't know anything about it?

Actually when Ranzou was asking about regrets he was talking to Sheryl, not Alto. He makes a point of letting Alto know this. And he talks about finding someone more suitable in the last panel :D.

Better things to do *cough* (LOL yes my dictionary is truly gone... :( So I just have to rely on my memory and audio ability when I have to translate :'D)~

Anyway, Sheryl just said something akin to strange atmosphere/strange behaviour in that comic strip. I mean... Who wouldn't seeing Alto like that?! :D
