Favorite Scenes from Code Geass

There is a quotes thread but it doesnt fulfil the criterion for scenes . Quotes Dialogues do compliment a scene but dont represent the dramatic scenes in itself .

So this thread is to list the scenes which moved you got you, excited you or inspired you . Code Geass has a history of relying on dramatics to convey a scene . After all this series deals with struggle of Japanese people with occupation . To chose a scene would be wrong and insulting to the director of the series .But some scene s stand out more than the rest . As I have a STM I cant recollect scenes from R1 and even if I can not vividly . Though I have a few scenes in R2 ep 1 which according to me were brilliantly executed to names a few .

* The 'Banzai Nippon' scene which was quite dramatic and also reminded or gave me a glimpse into history ala Kamikaze .

* The scene where the Chinese Delegate's bodyguard snips of there belts quite flashy but well executed

* Lulu hand movement introducing himself again as Zero

* Or the Teaser scene where Suzaku swears he will kill Zero

Wow, there are so many but I guess I'll give my top 5, and this will probably change since we still have almost an entire season to go.

#5) Number five I'm going to give to the ending of first season's episode 1; where it all began.

#4) Number four is starting when C.C. had her flashback because of V.V.'s trap in the finale until the ED song played. A great season finale.

#3) R2's first episode ending takes the #3 spot; we can see that a Lelouch ready to tear Britannia to the ground has returned.

#2) Number two is going to the ending of episode 23 starting at the phone call from Euphie's phone up until the ED. This was the finale for a long time up until 24,25 aired months later.

#1) Without a doubt goes to Euphemia's massacre. The most insane unpredictable accidental tragedy.

Keep in mind I loved all of Code Geass from the cat chase scene to the battles.

5) The fight between Suzaku and Kallen for the first time between Guren Nishiki and Lancelot in Episode 11. 'Twas epic, in my opinion.

4) Lelouch and C.C. cave scene. It really peaks the interest in several areas.

3) Does this count? - C.C. kicking Tamaki out of a moving car in Sound Episode 15.

2) V.V. doing his own version of mind raeping C.C. Much as I love C.C., I do have this streak of liking them even more if they're put into a very, very uncomfortable position.

1) R2 Episode where, after Lelouch gains his memories back, he and C.C. just stand up together. I can't quite describe what really went on in my mind, but, as those two stood up together, I was all, "oh, hell yes, they're going to kick some ass." Or, rather Lelouch did. But, time will come.

Top seven for me:

7) The conclusion of all that stuff with Mao. Lelouch ordering him to "Shut up!", C.C. comforting Mao as she shoots him in the head, and Suzaku incapacitated on the ground, going "ore wa...ore wa..." over and over. Everyone was so distinctly human and weak in that scene.

6) Lelouch tripping over that bush while chasing Arthur. Also, that girly, girly scream.

5) Final battle between Suzaku and Kallen. (Lest we forget that this is a mecha anime, after all.)

4) Euphie calling Suzaku in the Lancelot to forgive himself and to live because she will love him regardless of his sins. Awwww. (I also like it because I spoiled myself for Euphie's death, and I knew that this cutesy pairing was oh-so-very doomed. Kira and Lacus' happily-ever-after? Not yours.)

3) The periphery of the Tokyo settlement collapsing after Lelouch purged it all at the end of 23. EPIC. The entire damn episode was EPIC. Better than 25, IMO.

Whelp when Lelouch finally gets on all fours ontop of the emperors grave screaming "I have won" like a maniac I doubt they will ever end.

Lets see my favorite scenes (Not in any order).

-The ending of the Imperial Siblings Sound ep.

-The entire Brown Dilema sound episode(A drunk Tamaki is a funny Tamaki).

-Episode 25 from the part where C.C. kisses Lelouch to where Lelouch and Suzaku have an old fashioned mexican stand off.

-Ending of episodes 1 and 26 with Lelouch doing the suicided Geass scene. I don't particularly care for all the parts afterwards in episode 26.

-The part in episode 26 where Lelouch is remembering everything and Suzaku has a gun pointed at his chest saying "We are friends right?". Taken out of context I think its hilarious but thats just me.

-Episode 8's introduction of the Black Knight.

-Episode 5-Where Euphie tells both sides to stand down after Kewell tried to kill the Orange.

-Father good-vibe's speech at Clovis funeral and the subsequent chorus ALL HAIL BRITTAINIA!!!!

Episode 1 - CC's contract scene with Lelouch

By far, to me, this remains the best scene of the series. Probably because it was a very "artsy" scene, held together with superb music, quick flashes, and just altogether perfectness.

Episode 22 - The order to kill the Japanese and Euphemia's complete mentality

This was probably one of the biggest plot twists I have ever seen. I knew that Euphemia went on a shooting rampage, but I thought she had joined the rebellion. Just the shear thought of it alone was too much... This scene ranks among one of the best scenes I have EVER seen, probably up there with Kanon 10 and Death Note 23.

5) CC in the cave scene. We get to see the side of CC that she hides, that and the fact that its the first scene which has some real development between her and Lelouch.

4) CC's mind rape scene. The whole speech Lelouch gave about her not being lonely because he is with her (I like how he can say it without sounding like a totally pussy whipped fag.) And then afterwards the kissing scene and denial from CC about her saying that Lelouch is not her type even though its so obvious she has feelings for him.

3) Shirley's memory erase scene. The whole scene was just really deep. Lelouch wasn't just shouldering the sin's that Shirley felt, he was also killing her(to some extent) shown by how she was screaming "no." The feelings he must have felt when he decided to erase her memories I just can't put into words.

2)Zero declaring his return in season 2. What can I say, I just love the whole underdog vs world concept.

1)Euphemia's tragic incident. The first time i saw the scene I was like "wow." Ordering her to do something so against her morals just made the whole scene so much more tragic. She wasn't listed very high in my list of favorite characters but to see her die like that actually made me feel a slight ache in my heart. (lol)

Just about any scene towards the end of season 1 or anytime in season 2 when somebody was shocked or went nuts (I love how much detail they put into people being shocked in this series :) ), but if I had to be more specific, I'd say when Zero returns in episode 2 of season 2. Everybody (especially Guilford and Nina) slaps on their "OH SHI-!!!!" face and gawks, while Diethard totally goes fanboy. :cool:

I'll throw out five. The first three are from the second festival in R2. All others are assorted.
(1)Actually my favorite scene is when Shirley attacks Kallen who is dressed up in a costume. It's funny because Kallen has eaten Lelouch's head, and Shirley yanks him from it causing him to land on the ground below the scaffolding.
(2)Then Lelouch declares to Suzaku who is looking for Arthur: "Tomatoes and cats don't come in a pair!!" or something to that effect. Almost exactly that...
(3) The council chases (Kallen included, in her outfit) Arthur and Lelouch buckles down because of his lack of stamina, resulting in Millay passing him in an old-style dress while screaming, "Charrrrge!" as she ran past him.
(4)In the beginning episodes of Code Geass season one when Arthur steals his helmet, Lelouch gives the most hilarious and hysterical expression ever.
(5)In Love Attack (episode 13 of R2, right?) Anya takes her Knightmare and deploys it on school grounds, then busts through one of the school's windows and wall, only to be stopped by a surprised Viletta, who says, "It's not ok..." Of course, the funniest part of that scene is that Anya doing so causes the school event to attract the attention of the military and the police.

This might seem strange to most, but my favorite scene was right before the opening credits of Episode 1. The part where Lelouch says, "Suzaku... I WILL ANNIHILATE BRITANNIA!" when he was a kid. That expression on such a child's face made me laugh happily. That and the similar expression Lelouch made at the end of the first episode after using Geass for the first time. Those two scenes are actually what sold me for this anime.

I think any scene involving one of Kallen's little 'wardrobe malfunctions' is hilarious. I mean, she's a great warrior with cat-like reflexes, who for some reason becomes completely oblivious to her surroundings while taking a shower. Now that's funny.

I also like the scenes in R2 between C.C. and Kallen because it shows the rather odd older/younger sister bond that's formed between them in the year since season 1. C.C. is the somewhat arrogant older one that can't resist making fun of the younger, but in more serious moments shows geniuine concern by giving advice and showing a level of confidence in her that perviously she only really had for Lelouch. Kallen is the younger jealous sister, who is often annoyed by the older's antics, but still defers to her advice when it's needed. Kinda makes me sad that their separated right now, because I was really enjoying watching their dynamic.

The scene where Kallen finally makes out with Lelouch was always a cheer for me. Not because I'm Pro-Kalulu, but because they did the scene very well. I adored the setup with the backbround music and the kiss itself was quite nice. One of my favorite kiss scenes! At least until Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu does a kiss scene... Which they had better... ... Or else...

Anya smashing in the window of the academy in an attempt to capture Lelouch during Millay's love event only to be turned away by Viletta through a series of, "It's not okay...," going back and forth between them...

Truly was one of the most interesting scenes during the series. Many people saw the scene in different ways. LELOUCH I'M YOURS!" and since the BK were a bunch of traitors i was "KILL THEM ALL! SPECIALLY XINGKE! HE'S A PEDO!" and seeing everything happens (well, he didn't kill anyone, but they were in jail for a month, so i'm satisfied) was really a pleasure.

Albion crushing the knights of rounds. Take that, suckers. Geass that see the future? Fuck you.

Kallen shower scenes.

Shirley's death. Very touching and beautiful. I loved Shirley so much that even when Rolo redeemed himself, i was still wanting his head(and still want. He thinks that just by saving Lelouch he can get away with this? fuck him).

Lelouch's death cause i wasn't expecting that and i love when they show surprises me.

In R1

The first episode where Lulu is hiding and his cell phone rings (because Shirley's calling him) :heh: Hilarious. You know his first thought was "OH SHIT!!"

-The first episode where he commands the soldiers to kill themselves and they yell "YES, YOUR HIGHNESS" *bang* XD THAT. WAS. AWESOME. I actually starting laughing out loud.

-When C.C. first appears at school, dancing around behind the others and Lelouch starts to freak out. XD

-The cat walks off with Zero's mask and Lelouch runs after it in a panic, going "A cat! A cat! To be done in by a mere CAT!!" OMG MY FRIEND AND I WERE LAUGHING SO HARD. WE WERE ON THE FLOOR :heh:

-Lelouch sees C.C.'s memories.

-Lelouch declares Jerimiah as "Orange". *dies* :heh:

-C.C. kisses him. :)

anyway some of my favorite 'scenes' would be those relating to the backstory, especially the sound dramas. I think the backstory in this series is phenomenal. The backgrounds of Lelouch and Suzaku have been so thoroughly thought out that I feel as though they are real people who I care about and love, even as children. The pre-series sound episodes show the circumstances of Lelouch and Nana arriving in Japan and how Lelouch and Suzaku were first bitter towards each other but eventually became friends. First of all Lelouch was struggling to take care of his sister on his own and to allow the two of them to be "alive" on their own terms, as opposed to being pawn of the empire and thus being "dead". For this reason he wouldn't accept any favors from the kururugis, even refusing to let them buy them food (he bought it himself, even though he had to walk through the village where he got beat up by bullies every time), wash the children's clothes for them or even let anyone touch Nunalley. For himself Suzaku was struggling with his hatred for "Brits" who threatened Japan, and the insecurity he felt about his future due to the way the most important mentor figures in his life (Todou and his father) had been behaving recently (due to the likelihood of a war starting). But they manage to find a brief moment of happiness by becoming best friends, which adds to Nana's happiness as well.

It's all so tragic...and so perfect...I want to cry :(

Recently added a new scene to my long list of favourites - one I had almost forgotten:

During the Narita arc, when Lelouch contemplates analyzing C.C.'s blood as well as the way her wounds heal - and all in all pretty much treats her as an interesting specimen rather than a (quasi) human being for a moment -, just to nonchalantly drop the handkerchief with her blood into the water the moment she awakens.

Ah, he's such a cutie when he's not going around killing people (Clovis agrees!).

The whole second half of the last episode including the epiloge, the way how lulu dies and how kallen and nunally realizing that this was his true intention from the beggining and then the epiloge (kallen is very cute there :)). awesome ending of the story(?), the best one i have ever seen!

* The Euphinator sequence. Towards the end it was a real tear jerker.
* Lloyd losing his shit when Nina pulled out the FLEIJA. Pro Tip: don't teach psycho lesbians how to make weapons of mass destruction. :p
* Suzaku learning Zero's identity.

Season 2:

* Everything with Anya, especially when she tries to chase down Lelouch with Mordred.
* Everything with Monica.
* Everything with V.V.
* Zero tricking the Eunuchs into revealing their true Complete Monster colors.
* Schneizel giving the 'evidence' about Zero to the Black Knights.
* When Schneizel tries to declare himself Emperor and allows Suzaku to go after Charles.
* Lelouch's "journey" to the Sword of Akasha (i.e. when he walked amidst those mecha as they made an arch for him).
* When Schneizel calmly states his master plan to Cordelia.
* Obey Me, World.

Those three were pretty epic. The 'journey' to Akasha is my favorite scene, actually. I've memorized his speech. "I am Lelouch vi Britannia, son of the late empress Marianne. The prince abandoned by his empire. If there are any that think they can go beyond my despair, let them try."

Obey me world was great, as well. Especially that smile. Though I can't remember what he said exactly...

After rewatching everything in S1... these are my favorite scenes, or atleast two of them.

When C.C. began to spin around behind Kallen. Lelouch forced to 'distract' her.

Kallen: 'Scuse me? What are you doing?
Lelouch: What indeed.

The other is the Narita battle.

Around that time, I seriously started to hate Charles.... But I could relate to what he was doing. Snipping the problem in the bud. Thing is, the chaos bloomed the moment he sent Lelouch and Nunnally to japan. Good intentions don't always cut it out as an excuse, as the series expresses.

During that scene, Suzaku was more bastard then Charles. It was evident to me then, he was thinking of something else then rather 'changing the system'. I had the impression he wanted to run it. xD....

'Nough said.

Yeah, Suzaku was deliciously heartless in that scene.

If anything put me off, it was that he said "Knights of the Round, the twelve most powerful knights etc. etc."

Excuse me, Charles already knows what they are :p In fact it probably would have been better if he had left it cryptic. The viewer could be excited as he wonders "Ooh, what's the Knights of the Round?"

But yeah, I wish Charles were a true Complete Monster as he was portrayed until Episode 21, rather than a Well Intentioned Extremist.
