Cafe Alpha - YKK-based OAVs

Alpha's Cafe Chapter 3 is based on the Hot Sand chapter of YKK - ヨコハマ買い出し紀行 /Yokohama Kaidashi Kikō (quiet country cafe)/ manga by Hitoshi Ashinano. Alpha, Makki, and Takahiro go on a trip to the beach. Fully voiced and with musical accompaniment.

Alpha's Cafe Chapter 5 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFwkifjG05k) is based on the Two Cups at Opening and Maruko, Maruko chapters of YKK - ヨコハマ買い出し紀行 /Yokohama Kaidashi Kikō (quiet country cafe)/ manga by Hitoshi Ashinano. Alpha has just finished rebuilding her cafe, when she gets two surprise visitors. Fully voiced and with musical accompaniment.

This one is about 7 and a half minutes, so make sure you have some time on your hands :D

Heh, heh... quite entertaining, did you do all the voices yourself? It's good to see (or hear) the audio VA for the manga. YKK is a great manga, I've read all the entire series already and yet I had no clue what to expect next in your video.

No, those are real women's voices. The only voice I could possibly do myself is Ojisan, and even then it's probably best that I don't :D

More accurate to say I'm adapting the dialogs. Just like I have to rework many of the pictures (removing text boxes, cleaning up stuff, occasionally drawing in things or erasing them), I also play a bit with the translated text.

Alpha's Cafe Chapter 9 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yb3R8_YriY) is based on the One Who Sees, Walks, and is Delighted chapter of YKK - ヨコハマ買い出し紀行 /Yokohama Kaidashi Kikō (quiet country cafe)/ manga by Hitoshi Ashinano. Alpha and Sensei meet for the last time in this heartwarming chapter that deals with aging, loss, and the hope for the future. This is the finale for the Alpha's Cafe series, and features a full vocal track as well as musical accompaniment. At the end of the episode there are the normal chapter credits, and then a very special Series credits with images that weren't used previously in the series.
