This thread is aimed at first time viewers of Soul Eater and its purpose is to allow spoiler free speculation and theories to be aired. Having them in a central location may help focus the discussion instead of spreading speculation over the various episode discussion threads. H'okies.... I'm basically spoiler free, having only read the first few chapters of the manga and the first 3 eps of the series.

Not much in the way of speculation or theories --- obviously we've got a team about to form. Just watching the characters interact should be a hoot.

In the first and third episodes, Shinigami confiscates the souls that Maka, Soul, Kidd, Liz, and Patty collected in their respective episodes. What do you suppose he does with those souls? I would think that he has them be reincarnated as humans, but who knows.

First time watching Soul Eater... Just downloaded ep 1~ 13 and watched and now my internet is being capped!!!! I must die OTL

Anyways its very interesting anime. I think I'll enjoy this while bleach and naruto are dragging with their fillers =0 =....

This is probably looking into this a little too early in the show/series, but I have a feeling that Asura may have gone through a similar situation as Maka & Soul. The reason he became the way he was was because of one simple goal that he might have shared with his weapon-the need to be stronger in order to protect one another.

However the more obsessed they became in obtaining power, the more they lost to it, and ultimately swallowed the other one up. Of course we've got a long way to go before we can figure out what went wrong for Asura, but somehow I feel like this might be a possible reasoning.
