I was searching the forums 'cause I thought that I had seen a thread about this but I can't find it. I was wondering what some of the more violent animes were that are around right now. Examples that come to mind are Hellsing, Fist of the North Star, and Berserk. I was wondering if anyone had other that they would add to the list

Berserk. The last two episodes of Narutaru are pretty gruesome, though.

Yup, Berserk... Narutaru should maybe fit in also.

NaruTaru may be the most emotionally violent TV series ever made, however...

I think New Fist of the North Star wins for sheer graphic physical brutality and more animated blood and brain matter than anything else ever made.

The Kenshin OAVs are probably the most effective combination of both, perhaps.

Definitely Hellsing. It's pretty nasty and agressive and it down't look like London at all!!!!

And the Police helps them!!

That's the most horrifying part O.o

And everybody cheers once every one of them is dead O.o

And then when their almost dead they stuff them back into a tiny ball.

Ebichu, I mean common man, look at the way she punches her hamster pet in every episode.

What's worse! Parents are letting their 12 year old sons run around by themselves 1/2 around the world. Talk about Neglect!

Yeah Berserk got pretty bad.. or good.. toward the end. I borrowed the DVDs from a friend over vavation and ended up finishing the series on Chrismas Eve. Heh heh. Quite an ending it had.

One of the worst I've seen for violence was Koroshiya. Very graphic bludgeoning of people.

Tom & Jerry is definitively the most violent carton ever.

I would say... Berserk, Ninja Scroll(the old movie), Fist of the North Star, Hellsing.

There are probably a few others I will list later, but I can't think of any more at the moment.

Berserk is not that violent seriously, if you want to see something VIOLENT watch any ninja scroll either the movie or tv series. Hahaha is so violent that you may even want to vomit in some episodes.
