I wouldn't know. I don't think that'd be as fun as an actual trap. I think it'd be great if there's this very cute girl whom he has to exorcise, and whom he starts developing an actual liking to (despite being 3D). Then, once the business is finished, boom, he's a guy. Then we can see Keima in shock.


But the underlining problem to that is the fact that the spirits possess only girls not because of aesthetics reasons, but biological.

Both personalities seem to be completely yandere, with one predominantly yanderu and the other predominantly deredere.

The fact that the spirit is starting to exhibit powers implies that it has been in the host for some time, given that the girl lives diagonally to Keima's house, it is almost inexcusable incompetence on Elsee's part.
Granted we can hardly expect Elsee to actively scour the neighborhood for escaped spirits like Hakua (http://www.onemanga.com/The_World_God_Only_Knows/48/12/); but is a mere modicum of diligence too much to expect from her?

It seems the new demon chases out spirits by granting wishes, and she has targeted Keima as well. Poor Keima, all he wanted for summer vacation was 1000 hours of uninterrupted game play. :D

As for the osananajimi:
Unlike Kusunoki, it is probable that the multiple personalities in the "osananajimi" is a preexisting condition, which may explain why the spirit sensor only goes off occasionally. Essentially, the escaped spirit possessed one of the personalities, though as I mentioned before: both personalities are yandere psychos. :eyespin:

Should prove interesting, if the personalities don't merge by the end of the storyline, the personality that was not possessed would remember everything. :uhoh:

Chapter 55 was hilarious. :heh: Man... Elsee could not caught a break. First, Keima wanted to leave her alone, then he wanted to bury her and finally Elsee wrote so fast with her pencil the table caught fire. Wheres her sweet fire trucks when she needs them. :heh:

The girls definitely didn't know what they were feeling so they questioned if they meet Keima before. Kanon stared at Keima several times, must have been uncomfortable when thinking back with all the teasering that happen, at least I would think. I really do hope they're memories do come back in some way. :(

The teacher was the one that really won this chapter. :heh: Keima scored a 99 on his test and in order to celebrate this feat, he put it on a frame by his desk. Must be his greatest victory. :heh:

- constantly reminding the girls about their forgotten relationship with Keima
- setting fire to her own paper
just so that Keima would be so strained by the end that he would not possibly be able to get a perfect score.

Guys you forget the effects. They lose their memories but the feeling of love they do not.

That is why Keima seems familiar to Kanon. Unlike Chichiro or Ayumi Kanon did not know Keima prior to the time she first met him.

This brings to question other girls who first met him. We know some of the other girls give him furtive glances but what about those without any contact?

The Sensei certainly remembers him as problem child prior to possesion. Perhaps in her subconscious she remembers her promise to come back a teacher.

Keima is now what? Second year? When he gets to the next year level that middle school girl will identify him as a Sempai. Not the she remembers him but she will fall for him all over again.

Perhaps the biggest question what will happen to Keima when his contract with Elsee ends. Will he forget her and the rest of the girls?

hmmm, I only recall him helping Hakua capture a sprit once, and to say he voluntarily help Hakua is a bit of a stretch. He did have his own motive (http://www.onemanga.com/The_World_God_Only_Knows/23/13/), he wants out and Keima knows he isn't going to get any reliable information from Elsee.
When he followed Hakua to her partner, I was under the impression that he wanted to see how other teams capture spirits, because so far the only method he and Elsea knows in capturing spirit is making the girls fall in love.

Thats not his "Capturing God" mode, that was just him being naturally awesome at games. Capturing God Mode when he played and cleared (I'm guessing completed all routes) 6 games at once.

well, nora is mad at keima for the humiliation she underwent in the last chapter and she goes around the town trying to kill him; elsea creates some clones of keima to confuse nora but she kill them all one by one; the spirit inside tenri (keima's childhood friend) asks keima and elsea to protect them; keima asks elsea if she still has minami's spirit with her (their previous target), she replies that she already submitted it to hell, keima 's plan is to make nora catch another spirit to have her stop targeting him and tenri; he ask then elsea to go ask some other spirit hunter and she go to aqua's place; the spirit tells tenri to talk a little to keima since they are finally alone, keima tells her to not rely on the spirit (the spirit, which act as tenri's guardian, doesn't even know itself to be an escaped spirit) and ask her why she came to him since she doesn't even remember him; she replies that she never really forgot about him; then finally nora barges in and the spirit covers for him and they escape to a theatre tenri knows; tenri tells him there's a tunnel and keima wonders how she knows about that, she says they have been here once in the past and keima also remembers having being there (well, to be exact, he remembers that that time too he was worrying for his game console's batteries).

It is just me or....

It seems that every devil so far is paired with someone that suits them.
- Elsee: hopelessly hopeless, but will do EVERYTHING she asked with, and always try to do her best. Keima: A genre savvy "Capturing God" which is quite a jerk toward "normal people" and too lazy to work his ass except with death threat:heh:, but instinctively and genuinely caring for his target best interest, and had poor physique. Elsee's hard work is combined with Keima's intellectual.
- Hakua: A tsundere devil with HUGE complex. The best in her group, a honor student, but rather too brash \for her own good. Yukie-baa-san: An old woman, with not much physical capabilities (she's an old lady, what would you expect? :p:p), don't want to hurry for things, but very perceptive and had likeable personality. Her personality and style enables her to get multiple spirits at once, but only after quite a time. This trait combined with Hakua's talent, enables her to get several spirits in one go (if she assigned with Elsee, I'll bet she'll only got one, two at her best. SO...:heh:)

kniteowl: I love how karate-senpai is drawn in the first pic! She looks absolutely stunning. Likewise, Ojou-chan is also beautiful, if aloof. Ayumi feels different from her manga character though (she looks like she'll be "clumsy"), and Keima looks strangely...nice and sensitive? Less like the capturing god and more like a nice guy harem lead IMO.

Overall though, the refreshing color palette and clean designs allows for a beautiful glimpse into what could be the greatest anime of all time!!1one!

I knew the whole 10 years ago thing wasn't a coincidence. 10 years ago the spirits escaped. When they were in the cave an earthquake happened which a rock fell on Keima's head. Tenri sees all the ghosts while holding the unconscious Keima.

As a kid Keima wasn't into 2-D girls just an anti-social game nut. Tenri tried to befriend him during a field trip. They discovered a cave and got lost. Fortunately Keima has multiple games as lights. He also gave Tenri candy he has.

You can see here Keima was a bit of a gent by holding to Tenri's hand as they try to get out during the quake. Till the aforementioned rock hit him.

So there is posibility the spirit inside Tenri has been inside her since 10 years ago.
Keima doesn't remember because of head trauma.



It seems Tenri has interest in Keima leaving an impression on her since 10 years ago the ghost forced her to meet him again.

Interestingly Tenri is the Hinata Hyuuga-type. Not exactly stalker-ish but the same general parameters. Shy and likes the guy for his confidence. (Though young Keima was more indifferent to everything else but games)

Keima, his mom and Elsee visit his grand parents at the country side. Grandpa make ceramics with anime characters which he makes to impress Keima.

The crust of the story is this creepy kid. And a ghost of what looks like the kid playing with a ball at a graveyard. Elsee's head pin doesn't react and she's scared of the kid.

I believe I've read a Japanese myth about a guardian spirit guiding dead children to the afterlife. Forgot what is called though.

The New Demon Hell is essentially a new society of Demons overthrowing the Old Demons or Weiss as Diana calls them.

But from Diana's account they had help from Kami or gods sealing the Old Demons.

Hakua already explained the origin of the ghosts as Keima can't really count on Elsee for information.

From what Elsee said she didn't learn it in history class that New Demons had help ending Hell's civil war. Though as said you can't count on Elsee on details.

Which brings to question as to Diana's intention of Keima and Tenri getting married. We know that ghosts stays inside the gaps of the heart waiting for their hosts to be pregnant and give birth. Gaining a new born body.

Just read 71 RAW. This manga is so f---ing awesome... This would seriously be the funniest anime ever. Kamen no Maid Guy, Muteki Kanban Musume, and Kemeko DX got nothing on Keima and pals... ^_^

And the best thing is it's so well set up for an anime. No need to manufacture an ending, just time it so the season ends at the end of an arc, and hiatus until there's enough new material for a second season.

Absolute best part of the new RAW is the Mario references signifying the three things keeping Keima from his gaming over the summer. Tenri/Diana and Nora as a pair of Hammer Brothers Sisters, creepy little ghost girl as a Lakitu, and ramen girl as a Blooper, all from the original Super Mario Bros. Genius... F**king genius...

This is why Shaft must animate this seires, as only they can be trusted to get the references right. For once, Shaft being Shaft will be an inarguably good thing... ^_^

There do is a meta-story going on, however what I like this series is that, unlike other similar series like Bleach or Defense Devil, it never forgets its roots, what made it appealing at the beginning, for the sake of the bigger story. Instead it integrates in a very interesting way the bigger story into the ongoing one.

Elsee is actually an excellent cook - the problem is that they use very different ingredients in Hell. And you can hardly expect demons and humans to have similar tastes and preferences.

As I mentioned earlier somehow I think the series is keeping its plot development original by it doing this way. By "plot development", what most series actually do is completely forgoing their roots and go onto something completely new and unrelated (e.g. Bleach, when comparing pre soul society to post soul society). This series is actually weaving the greater story into the ongoing plot mechanics, which is something most series don't do, and I like it.
