Ok, have checked the forum and made sure no one has put up a post like this one bfore....

Just realise that this anime has quite a bit of creativity and imagination put into it cause of all the different types of alchemy and possibilities that exists.... so I wanted to know what type would you wanna be...

we all know that everyone wants to be like ed by just clapping his hands together and creating anything but that aside.. anything else like roy's flame specialty and Amstrong's strength factor???

How about the Necromancer Alchemist ..... then I can raise an army of undead to fight people offby binding living souls into some other objects..... ok maybe that sounded dumb.... or maybe lightning alchemist... form clouds and strike people with a 10,000 volt lightning .....

First off I would like to Say an Electric Alchemist would be pretty Badass. But my personal Favorite would be a Glass Alchemist. Just taking Grains of Sand and Transmute them into Little Shards and shoot them in the face. Hopefully they'll hit the eyes.

Second your an Okita Soshi Fan and how is living in Malaysia? I heard Singapore is nice but never heard anything about Malaysia except for Cheap Labor workers. :(

Personally for me, I would have to match myself to Alex Louis Armstrong's physical alchemy, but absolutely not his personality LoL. I'm a rather strong, hard-working, and sporty person myself. So if I were to have any alchemy abilities, I would be called the 'Athletic Alchemist'. Some of my special abilities would include transmuting any types of surrounding plants or animals into soccer balls, footballs, or rugby balls, then kicking or throwing them at about 5000km/h surrounded by an energy aura of either fire or ice, hitting my directed prey with great ferocity & effect!

Some other special techniques of Athletic alchemy include:
- Shadow Rugby Tackle (Transmuting 2 self-made rugby balls to yourself, and then all three aim, charge, and spear-tackle the enemy)
- Earthquake Touchdown (Creating an effective mini-quake towards your enemy by slamming a self-made football down the ground with full-force)
- Arsenal Murderer (Having five soccer balls in the air and transmute them into Gatling Cannons which target their enemy)

So yea, I see myself as the Athletic Alchemist; with the personality & body of exactly like Edward's, but much taller and a chickmagnet ;)

That'd be a pretty cool one, I like that idea. For me, I'd say...also probably along the lines of a "glass" alchemist. Not exactly that, but something similar... maybe Transmute various things into weapons. Of course, I'd be trained to use a number of different weapons, like a Glaive, or Kunai. ^^

A lightning Alchemist sounds pretty badass...I think I'd choose that too :p That or maybe like a wind Alchemist, altering the pressure in the air, and the air density/hardness making battling easier as well as other uses.

I'll be the alchemist of instantaneous combustion. So I can just make people burst into flames and explode whenever I want =P. Kinda like Mustang's power, except I wouldn't be powerless in the rain :heh: .

now this sounds interesting too..... yeah.. lightning does look cool doesn't it... hahahaha someone mentioned that alchemy is used to help people..... well.. erm... i'd rather use it to fight and look cool!!!!!!!

oh well, here's another one I came up with after reading the one about cloning... if human transmutation was possible, i'd transmute a version of myself (one that I can kill off easily) and then place that self in the office whilst the real me will spend days and days at home doing whatever I like and watching loads of anime....

And why do you need a Sharingan for this? Except for Ed, all other alchemists need Transmutation Circles to perform alchemy. You just need to be able to recognize this circles and redraw them... this way you achive the same goal.

But I also think: Why trying to specialize? Just learn everything you can and use the best option in a given situation.

If it was that easy to make all kinds of powerful alchemy by just recognizing those circles and stuffs, everyone will be a Fire Alchemist like Mustang or that laughing alchemists guy who can create powerful explosions. Don't have the patience to study those.

I think it's not only the Circles that does the trick, but something deeper inside the person, mix it with the understanding of alchemy...then added Sugar & Spice and Everything nice...

With the Sharingan eye, i can just copy it however powerful it is, no swet. My opponent will think i own their technique.
Then they gonna' call me the Copy Alchemist.

I'd like to be a kind of food alchemist, who can change anything into food, able to make complicated meals or a single pizza in few seconds. Very important : be able to change water into beer or wine ( i've found this anime pretty cool when i saw the wine foutain in the firsts episodes :D ). That's my dream ^^

But if i think of fighting abilities, i'd like to have the power of decomposing things very fast, event if they're still alive * stereotypical evil laugh *. Creepy isn't it? ^^

Sharigan's copy ability is next to usesless in FMA world battle, you are better off having the ultimate eye ability of Wrath. In terms of battling, most of the time the Alchemists already have their alchemy circle drawn somewhere before the battle starts, such as circles on National Alchemists gloves. So even if you manage to copy them you would be hit by their attacks while you try to draw your alchemy circle. The other thing that limits the copying ability is the law of equivalent trade, unless you carry the exact component as your opponent, you are screwed in battle because you dont have the right component to tranmutate. For example if you are fighting Roy Mustang then you are screwed because you probably wont have the friction cloth on you. Or if you are fighting Edward then you are probably screwed too because you dont have an automail arm that allow you to tranmutate the metal into a blade.

I got that covered. :D I'll do something like permanently draw a circle/tattoe in some part of my body...either my hand or chest.
And i'll start young like Ed, maybe younger. And with my battle scars and copied alchemy techniques, i have lots of stuffs to throw at the enemy before he/she can launch a new one i haven't see before. Anyways, i just need 00.09 seconds to copy it. And my Sharingan eye technique isn't limited to eyes, so no use covering it. And so fast like itachi.
I'm not invincible, but in any battle i can get out off alive will also be another technique owned. As long as he/she is not a Powerpuff Alchemists :P i could beat her/him to a pulp.
Any more ideas 'bout my future alchemy build will be made...after i get back to my real part time job. Geezzz, i'm late again. :twitch:

you still need different alchemy circle for different transmutations, its not like chakra in naruto where its the common denominator, so one set of circle only let you do one type of thing. In short you still wont be able to copy the enemy technique in battle. Not to mention the lack of ingredients would limit you on what technique to use anyways.

If you are smart like Ed you don't need a Sharingan to learn the enemy techniques, so far Ed has figured out what his enemy was doing just by watching them. So again Sharingan is still useless.

I'd be a business alchemist, i would use alchemy to mass produce X-ray glasses and release it to our perverted nation, from there i'd mass produce a thin Lead material combined w/ fashion but sell it at 4X the price of normal clothes to ensure that your not being looked at by X-ray glasses. After that when every one has anti-perv clothes i'd release a monolith the size of bacteria that feeds on lead.

And when all taht fails i'd figure out a way use alchemy to concentrate water molecules in air to collect but not lose it shape on solid objects- Wallah! life size PORN! I'd be richer then the owners of playboy

and if that doesnt work i'd just own a bakery :heh:
and run alchemist pho/ramen stands!

Yes, an adventure worthwhile for a Sharingan Alchemists. I'll copy all their techniques.

So after i get that default circle in me and with my battlescars and Sharingan eye in hand...i'll be ready for any alchemists. Skillfull enough to defeat the all-powerfull Powerpuff Alchemist.

Haven't you heard. I have the Sharingan eye. With Sharingan eye comes the Sharingan powers and technique of Alchemy Ninjutsu that i also copied from an enemy a year ago...
What you have blinded was just my double...summoned a fake one using the burger and fries i have in my bag. Equal trade, right.

anyway, thought of something less dangerous of transmuting a black hole.... i'd train my other senses so that even if I was blind i'd be able to tell exactly where you are... and then I'll take you out with a 100,000 volt lightning with pinpoint acuracy...... muahahahahhaha

How would you transmute electricity? what would you trade? same applies for a black hole- that kinda wouldnt be possible because a black hole is nothing but immense gravity so the only thing you could trade is the entire world and no one would have that much energy. You can make loads of diamonds outta plain coal, charcoal or any other stuff composed of mainly carbon, changing the structures of the molecular bonds is all you need.
Theoratically, it's a hell lot easier than transmuting gold from lead....

You could transmute electricity by simply turning matter into engery, ie E= MC^2 the converson of mass to engery.
I personally would (like to) be a Thermal Alchemist. Being able to adjust the speed of the atoms naturally in the air to make the tempture either warmer or cooler. I know this may not sound all-powerful but then again neather does moveing Oxygen around (Like Mustang). I would use the atoms in the air to from the circles that I needed to transmutate.

i'm not a science student or anything but from my own logic... i didn't choose nuclear powers cause I thought that by generating nuclear reactions, the radiation would be so great that it would mutate my own body leaving me to be some weird mutated lifeform by the time I finish any single reaction.... and I don't think anyone can cause alchemic reactions far away enough to be away from the radiation

I am not an expert in the subject but. from my understanding most of the radiation is actualy used to contain a split atom in current nuclear weapons. the reaction itself does prduce radiation but not to the same scale as that to which we use for containment.

Thus, assuming you created the reaction with alchemy and not standard nuclear physics, you could probly get a clean explosion without the large radioactive fallout. But you would still be much much to close to survive the blast under any circumstances.

Nor am I an expert but, this is what I have learned:
The radiation in a nuke come from the U isotopes splitting into two diffent elements (I have compleatly forgotten witch atm) with and addl force (ie the engery). However the reaction is not 100% compleate and the two extra elements are not 100% ballanced, and hence radiation.
But alchemy is science and it applies to all the rules of eveyday science, ie equal mass to equal mass.
Also you would yeild massive amnts of power from each atom if your an engery alchemist, but just because you can convert a gram of raw matter to raw power doesnt mean you will. You could always just use one electron to produe a nice little jolt, and have little to nill effect, or you could use a large mass but use most of the power produced to contain it.
I'm eathier looking too far into this or I'm too sick, I will leave now...

hm. i wonder if one could create and sustain a vacuum with alchemy, or the reverse, create a high-pressure area inside of something.... both of those can make things explode easily.

the atoms used for fission are the actual radioactive elements. they're used because of the inherent instability that allows for easier splitting of the nucleus. the results are also unstable molecules. the unstable molecules give off gamma radiation which is the thing that messes other things up. there's also a great bit of alpha and beta, but those are usually reflected easily by the skin (at least i think so, been so long since i took chemistry).

so fission with an atom of oxygen would not be radioactive in any way, instead would create a lot of heat and energy.

anyway, about alchemic reactions... why not specialise mainly in water??? if any of you have watched tokyo underground this one would be something similar....

what i mean is that since the human body is mainly composed of water and the air always contains a level of humidity, why not find a way to freeze water instantly and freeze a person? does that make sense?

I would be a body sculpting alchemist! I can give you the perfect figure you want! Why liphosuck when I can just transmute out all that fat on your butt into soap! There's no need for implants when all I need is 4 pounds of pig lard and viola, you got a naturally, perfect set! :naughty:

I'd even have a 2-fer-one deal if someone obese can pair up with a waif. Then I can transmute the body they both desire without using up my resources!

Humm, I need to devlop combat skills for a hentai alchemist. the way this series is going scar would probly try and track me down as well. . .

o! got it, add in the ability to turn any object into a tentical monster hell bent on multi oriface violation (works in the animations!). The larger the area I transmute the more, and larger tenticals I get. A single coffie table could probly make a good 3-4 decent tenticals (although unless I am truly in a sadistic mood I think I should change it from wood to somthing a bit more fleshy).

Impotance attack. You can't get your mucles to respend, as such you cannot get up.

Doll Mistress. Temporarly animate one of my life like dolls into a sado-dominatrix compleat with whip and shackles (assume materials for whip and shackles are avalible)

All I need to find now are just my pantsu of transumtation. similar to roy's gloves, only much less comfortable for a guy like me. Hey to be a xxx alchimist you have to earn the name right?

Able to alter the condensation in air, etc, etc to change the temperature and usually lowering it to subzero conditions, obviously there would be some way for me to be protected against it and stuff :P

Attacks would vary from ice spikes to ice swords, blizzards and other stuff like that

One of the alchemy girls in one of the episodes condenced and compressed air between her hands, then suddenly heated and vapourised it creating a powerful shockwave against Ed and Al.

Oxygen fission - depends on what you fuse it with and what isotope you end up with. Im no partical physist but im pretty sure you always get some nuclear radiation off when you fuse anything (look at the sun for example).

As for myself as an Alchemist.. i spose i already am since in its most historical terms Alchemy was the precurser to Chemistry but they did things less scientific. Now considering my current research project in the labs, it could be classed as that :heh:

dreamt of aeromancy since a child, but words alchemist if it's possible would sounds flexible (although need a lot of understanding for a lot of ideas).
But that's already used in Romancers :P

business-oriented alchemy sounds good also, at least it's helpful out of military works and won't really get me being chased by a murderer except from business rivals :heh:

No, just gold, however, transmutate enough diamonds and voila, econmic meltdown.

Personally, I'd be a hydro alchemist, controlling water essentially, drown enemies by creating water from the hydrogen and oxygen in the air and so on.

Id use a whip, and convert the sound into kinetic energy, which is quite a bit. The tip of a whip actually breaks the sound barrier, so id think it would be pretty powerful :)

Can i know 2 forms of alchemy? if i can. i'd be a wind and fire alchemist. My Specials would be like. Faning of Flames, Flash Fire, and Fire Tornado ofcourse they would use alot of my stamana or somthing.

I'd also carry a deck of cards with me like gambit. sept when i was use them as a weapon i'd have them fly around by body as a shield. Then i'd pick the card out of the air and throw it at my enemy while lighting it on fire.

Figurine Alchemist.

My alchemist would have spent many years experimenting on various creatures, turning them into monsters, and he would also be highly practiced in the ability of condensing. (Something I came up with!) Using alchemy he condenses the molecules of the creatures close together, making them small frozen figurines that he marks with alchemy symbols, allowing him activat ethe symbols to call upon the creatures and uncondense them at will. Just think, he could store an army of ferocious monsters in a bag. :)

I have changed my mind, I would have the ability of Scar's arm, such that you can 'read' the words of a book within seconds (as shown in episode 19). I would then be able to accumulate knowledge at a fast rate, which helps me with creating better alchemical circles etc.

I kinda like time and travel alchemist idea, basically there is a possibility to travel trough time or warp 2 distant spaces for instant traveling if you can figure out the equation. It just a limitless possibility you can do if you can grasp those secret.

Altho I prefer be a micro alchemist that specialize in organic and living beings.
My specialty is to be able to work on molecular level or even as small detail level if possible. I would use this skill on others to cure, rebuild damage tissues, strengthening, growth and other possibilities.

So I tought since most people seem like to fight alot. Someone got to become the healer and fix those wounds. ^^

similar to flame, a little spark. actually, it's kinda like lightning i suppose, but a bit more practical. (lightning isn't much for powering a bulb)

but, lightning would have neat advantages too, such as creating ball lightning and tossing it at your opponent...

I think I'd be the Sublime Alchemist, Kinetic Alchemist or Phaze Alchemist. Subliming is a type of matter physical-state manipulation. For example, taking an ice cube and then having it instantly vaporize would be subliming.

Elemental iodine is capable of doing this. The crystals will become gas, skipping the liquid phaze.

Granted, being able to do chemical changes is theoretically more powerful and useful than phyiscal change. Physical changes is merely altering the kinetic energy of the molecules(hence Kinetic Alchemist.)

Okay, i get the Sublime and Kinetic... which is the Phaze? I thought of something else in this after reading about the sword thing. I think it would be cool to have a transmutation circle permanently inscribed on a nice weapon of your choice.. The sword thing was cool..... but I'd personally would like to have a titanium rod (is there any other tougher metal? if there is then I'd rather have that). Long and sleek. It would look cool and I would have symbols inscribed on it... then manipulate it into a staff, a sword, a metal whip... cool..... Hmm... then i'll call myself the ...... damn... i don't know what to name this

Hehehe, "Phase" is the physical state matter is in. There aren't very many phases of matter. Solid, liquid, and gas are the most well known ones, however a lot of research is being done on the plasma phase(just a big sub-atomic particle soup.)

I think that if it was possible I'd be a Genetic or Atomic level Alchemist, why you ask? Well if I could rearrange/ create or recreate genes I could create the perfect being out of whatever organic material was laying around. But other than that I'd be some sort of a magnetizism specialist. 'Cuz magnitizism is just having all the 'domains,' as they're called, aligned to be going the same direction. So when I enter the 'recomposition' phase of the alchemy, I could realign the domains.

If I commanded anitmatter, I could liquidate you from an indefinite amount of miles away (depends on how powerful my alchemy would be, if I could create a 1/4 gram drop I could liquidate a 1/2 mile radius. :heh: ).

You guys keep post some pretty unreasonable ideas: huge ideas and you claim that it would be perfect and that you'd be unstopable- but if you havent notice: alchemy does take a toll on the user and there limits, big things take more engergy!

Beside the idea i had earlier in this thread: i could use alchemy as an art tool- statues that would take years to make would be made in a few minutes with a huge block of marble

Actually, i always thought transmuting clothing and such wouldn't be too hard, seeing as ed has to do it every time he rips his clothes off to show off his shiny metal limbs... a habit i really don't mind, but they don't even mention it, so it must not be that big a deal to mend stuff. That or the anime people are lazy and expect us to assume he gets a new coat and stuff every time. ^_^ I've lost count of how many shirts scar's gone through already...

And self-transmuting would be far from without drawbacks. Just think of how painful each transformation would be, the long-term health effects, the toll it would take on someone's personality and sanity, staying in an in-between state of neither beast nor human... I imagine there would be enhanced regenerative abilities for someone who manipulates their own tissues, but forced healing would probably scar like hell, so they'd be covered with ugly scars all over. Such a character would probably need constant medical attention to stay in optimal fighting condition, but likely wouldn't take such good care of themselves anyway like some other young and reckless characters we know...

Oh, you mean shou tucker? (Dunno why i remembered, even if it was a completely different name...) I don't think he did that to himself... for one thing, didn't he get shot? I have a feeling someone much more powerful did that to him, like the lab 5 people or whoever made the homunculi. To fix someone after that would be amazing; he even retained his mind, or what's left of it. Though it looks like a really inconvenient form... it'd be better if someone could take the process a step further and create the ideal fighter from an embryo or something. But yeah, that's the basic idea, a hybrid with human consciousness.
