Seems like Turn 12 will be redeemable in some way because of Cornelia... but cutting up the tension of capture for some love comedy is... it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth and reeks of poor plot management.

here we go, almost missed the episode cause I overslept
first flashbacks to what happened before
back to fake Lulu at school who informs everyone about Milly's safety at school, Lulu sounds a little more calm in his voice than normally, offers Shirley his handkerchief before going away with Rollo
Rollo tells him to act different and both head to the library to the secret entrance to the surveillance room, there it is revealed that it is in fact Sayako posing as Lelouch

back in China their base is still surrounded by those who want Tian-zi lol
Li is still in Shen-hu before the cave, though the Eunuchs have something to wine about
Li turns to the Knight of Rounds and thus begins Li vs. Gino
Tödö & co get out as well, C.C. goes with Akatsuki
it turns into a battlefield outside XD

Lelouch says to the Eunuchs that if they continue this Tian-zi will also die, they don't listen to him, seems like they want her dead so they can rule alone, stupid old men, shunning Zero I hope you die!
Tian-zi gets away and runs outside and yells people to stop, Li sees her and charges forward when the Eunuchs fire at her, trying to kill her, Li saves her by shielding her against the fire
here comes the drama XD some Li despair he finally, goes someone save us I don't care who it is, Zero answer his call in his Knightmare Shinkirou.

Schneizel wonders what Zero will do in a timing as this, the rest realises that the druid system that was once in Gawain is now working and being used, it summons a shield around Lulu in particle squares and he uses a keyboard to command it, the chest breaks open and a crystal is shot forward followed by a laser beam to the crystal, what happens next is a laser disco ball destroying everything in its path

Zero talks to Li, probably to get him back to his side =P
Suzaku is shown and he managed to get to Kallen somehow, thus she is captured
there seem to be more attacks happening throughout China, seems like a revolution started by Li and Zero's actions
Britannia is consoling now whether or not to continue fighting.

Nagisa and C.C. charge at Mordred, C.C.’s geass is activated and she sees scenes of kid Lulu, kid Nunnally, Marianne and a large mansion on a hill in the forest, she knows who Anya is but isn’t telling it seems and Anya freaks out, gets attacked from above and crashes below, Gino commands help troop to retrieve her, Anya seems to have a cloud of mystery around her, first a picture of Lelouch now memories.

Li gets inside the Eunuch ship and kills them all with his sword, Zero comes in as well in his KMF, though Suzaku captured Kallen and so he isn't able to get her back, he’s pissed

back to the ruins
something about C.C.'s power, Bradley is there being scared, Orange giving out orders
Li is reunited with Tian-zi aawh.. she cries and is happy
more Kaguya jokes and C.C. smiles, Lelouch the cranky arrives again
Lelouch receives a call from Shirley and kicks Tamaki out of the supply room so he can talk, She asks him if he's alright, he asks her to wait, sends Tamaki away cause he’s listening in on them and he gets cranky

Shirley gets mad about something, probably cause he's turning into a ladies man at school and he realises something about Nunnally XD
Shirley gets cut off by him ha ha she's all O.O LULU! OMG!
another Zero speech and he and Li shake hands
back at school, Shirley runs into fake Lulu in the library, the hidden door is closing and she'll see it if she steps more forward, Sayako kisses her to keep the bookcase door from her sight OMAGAWD!
is that all she could think of to hide the surveillance room door

Back to Rollo, Lelouch returns to Japan in the marina with his KMF Vincent is also stacked there, Rollo welcomes him back Sayako removes the mask, they talk to each other but nothing about Shirley is yet revealed

They come across Shirley who is all gloomy and depressed, what did her dad die again? When he asks her what is wrong she comments on something but Anya snaps both of them with her phone, she’s wearing a school uniform and he’s all O.O WTF! Rollo is panicking as well, Gino comes in and says something about attending school, lol he’s at leased a head taller than Lelouch and calls him Sempai, Lelouch doesn’t know what to do his expression alone says enough.

Next week, school trouble, Cornelia, more Shirley

Im betting my cash on half sister option, cloning is lame and overused alla we dont want another Ayanami Rei, since she was epic and the idea has the no touching clasification, her having geass activate could be because of her blood, which was mentioned before in R1 by C.C. which gives her geass potential though I hope for God that 'that' wont happen

I guess the only way I'll sleep peacefully tonight is keeping in mind that Kallen defeated C.C. in the semi-finals and is now decimating Tessa Testarossa in the finals of a popularity poll that shall be unnamed.

Anyway, I think I'll be taking a break from Code Geass... because the mounting suspense of Kallen's fate, be it house arrest/wrist slap, torture/assault, brainwash/mindwipe/sleeper double agent will be too much for me to take. I'm guessing July 20th (15) or 27th (16) would be a good time to return, or maybe that's too optimistic.

Now to comment on the episode itself; I found that Lelouch acting as if it were business as usual after the battle felt odd. You'd think that if Kallen was this fabled "100% guaranteed LI" that Dann keeps preaching about Lelouch would be showing a bit more of a reaction to support his "I'll definitely save you" outburst in 10. Perhaps he's just too much in control of his emotions unless Nunnally is involved.

The Kallen fans have a difficult road ahead.

The whole devoted to a specific character thing as a main draw for a show thing blows me away honestly. I had no idea that people could covet fictional characters to such a degree. So I guess when they get treated poorly in show people get really upset or something? I honestly have no idea.....it's a foreign concept to me. My theory is that bad stuff happens to good characters from time to time so it's just something you've got to pull through. Then again this comes from a Veteran of Tomino anime so I'm pretty much immune to anything these days when it comes to characters getting screwed by the writing staff. I don't see it as a bad thing at all, more like it adds drama and the chance at character growth which she honestly wasn't getting by sitting around being the super ace with the cool new KF. It can't all be smooth sailing for every character the whole way through. Thing is every characters sort of gotten kicked in the shins and then pummelled while they are down so far this season at some point and now it's Karen's turn. I imagine she'll come out even stronger then ever for it though and that at some point Lelouch will have to return the favour for episode 07 in some way to her.

Oh and Lelouch did kind of utter those horrible cursed words of "I'll bring you back to the academy" that while they looked innocent in the context of a rather flirtatious and not so serious scene, heavily foreshadowed something bad happening to her. Broken promises seem to follow that guy around. Everything he's ever promised to do seems to have ended up being the opposite.

Omni from RC has theorized that it is actually the new character Meeya I. Hillmick who is supposed to be making her appearance and not in fact Cornelia

About Shinkirou :love: I knew I will love it design but to tell the truth, he is clearly too powerful, just like gawain...anyway, Lulu and his hands is still funny to see -_-

Anyway, as for episode 12, that's the episode I'm imagining not being very good at all and mostly filler just from the previews, but I'll cross that bridge when the time comes. No sense trying to discuss an episode that I haven't seen yet and can't comment on. Though for all we know it could be like 5 minutes of antics and the rest could be more important stuff ala episode 05 which I imagined as a total throway episode when I first saw the preview, but then it turned out to not only have some good character moments, but also to kick off the next arc and bring Suzaku back into the story proper with a grand entrance along with introducing us to Anya and Gino. Honestly episode 05 was suprisingly good in my book, so I don't see why it's impossible that episode 12 could turn out to not be just as eventful.

That said I'm keeping my expectations roughly neutral as I pretty much do with everything in life.

Just saw the episode, so I can finally comment on it fully.

Lelouch's plan for abducting Tianzi is revealed. Lelouch used a recorded conversation with the Eunuchs saying they would kill/throw away Tianzi, if Xinge had taken Tianzi; China would have been embroiled in a civil war for years. Now all of China have rallied to overthrow the Eunuchs, thanks to Lelouch.

Very fast paced action for the first half, Anya gets hammered after her geass connection with C.C., Lelouch knows Suzaku is the one that took Kallen and he's pissed off bad. C.C. piloting a pink Akatsuki, Shinkirou's debut was awesome; saving Tianzi and Xinge then wiping out a ton of troops, we also see some slicing and dicing of Eunuchs(no, not in that way) by Xinge's sword. Schneizel runs away, Shirley is freaked out because of her first girlxgirl kiss, and Gino calls Lelouch sempai in his school uniform.

Edit: Mordred has not only crazy armor but that same huge shield cube that Suzaku had when he rescued Nunnally in Ep 6. Lelouch's Shinkirou shield is different, and it looks like the protect command from Final Fantasy X(<--if there was ever a sign that I played that game too much)

I don't think so. The Lancelot is already haxxed enough as it is. Besides, it's going to get tiresome if both sides does nothing but to copy the other one's technolog. They should keep radiation claws or the like out of Britannia's knightmares, because it's going to get boring if neither side can have something indvidualistic about them (not just as far as looks goes, but also weapons/fightning styles).

Now that's a plot twist I can safely say I saw coming a mile away after last episode. I wonder if Lelouch somehow predicted this turn of events when kidnapping Tian Zi. In fact he may very well have saved her life by pulling all of this and leading the Eunuch's on a chase if they were in fact planning to off her some other way, and he gained an ally. Li didn't exactly have much of an escape plan nor would he have had Shen-Hu otherwise.

Alternate scenario:

Lelouch doesn't interfere, Li gets to Tian Zi and then Suzaku shows up in Lancelot. Schneizel has Suzaku put down Li's insurrection at the church. Tian Zi is returned to the palace and then gets offed by the bastard Eunuch's. Li's rebellion fails in it's early stages when he doesn't team up with Lelouch cause he's dead and China falls into Schneizel's hands since the Eunuch's invite him in anyway to quell the rebellion. Soon enough Lelouch is also screwed over. Game Over. :twitch:

Edit: Just to let people know I was writing this as Blue_mercy was quoting from the episode about Lelouch revealing a plot. I had no idea it was actually right. I guess I'm just a natural at piecing these things together. :heh:

Lancelot is only really "hax" in comparison to 6th generation mechs. They are pretty much cannon fodder at this point with Hadron cannons and Radiation Surges becoming common place in 7th gen mechs. Problem is if there was any quick way to replace the 6th generation mechs they already would of, but they are so cutting edge there are only about 7 in the field of play right now. Those are Shinkirou, Guren, Lancelot, Mordred, Tristan, Zangetsu and Shen-Hu. Akatsuki's and Vincent's might be 7th gen, but they are massively scaled down mass produced models. They still are pretty darn effective though from what we've seen.

It would be inefficient to just throw everything on the Lancelot. It has no reason for a radiation claw when it's a variable attack unit, not a melee focused one like the Guren. It simply wouldn't have the battery power nor the space for an upgrade such as that. If anything, we can expect a new unit.

After this episode I'm left in limbo. For some reason it almost feels like everyone forgot about Kallen at the end, they didn't seem all that bothered.

I don't know the exact results of Round 3 or Round 4 but the final four for Round 5 were C.C. vs. Kallen and Haruhi vs. Tessa.

Somehow Haruhi actually lost (I guess there's a strong anti-Haruhism movement).

I'm not really digging the Shinkirou's look. The WASD system seems pretty effective though. The Zangetsu/Akatsuki look nice and so does the Vincent, but a lot of the other KMFs this season look horrible. Hopefully Cornelia is bringing sexy KMFs back.

But knowing Lloyd they might be bringing back scrap parts, not the whole machine. I just hope Kallen can make a change in her fighting pattern. They need to give her an effective secondary weapon.

I think the Lancelot and Guren's system may be similar since Laksharta seemed to be close to both Cecile and Lloyd in her youth. LLoyd knows of her stuff but prefers his own systems. The mecha may be put in storage until it can be reversed engineered or something.

Anyhow, Kallen may end up with an even better Guren, one with the combined systems of the Shenhu, Gawain, old Guren, and Lelouch's new robot. Even this one could get destroyed.

Ultimately, I see her ending up in a secret robot that is uber powerful and designed by the Ashford family, a robot derived from the robot test piloted by Marianne. A robot fit for a fighting queen. Probably some red or white robot with wings, deathblossom mode, super buster cannon, and some other mad haxx weaponry.

Another awesome episode imo. So the fake lulu turns out to be sayako and she is really digging a pit for him by kissing Shirley.

Surprisingly, Schneizel retreated when they could have won which may be an indicator that his mentality is somewhat like Lulu's...though he does think that the emperor would have done the opposite. Maybe this is some foreshadowing?

He also saw right through Lulu's great timing which started a riot all around China...and now that Li is on Lulu's side, the black order has gained a valuable source of strength.

The battle was very awesome (as usual), and Shinkirou proves to be haxx awesome (go figure) as well. A keyboard fits Lelouch perfectly... :eyespin:
I was worried Anya would kill off pointless Honggu, but he managed to escape his puny Knightmare.
The Eunuchs are killed, Britannia retreats, and Zero regains Li (and his group's) trust again. All ends pretty well.
-I kind of panicked when Tianzi, that idiot, ran outside and started screaming, but it worked in favor of Zero in the end (and she's still alive), so OK.
-The scene with Zero and Li shaking hands. Li x Tianzi, Zero x Kaguya, is what I saw.

Season 1 wasn't exactly the instant gratification type series either. I think people are recalling the final arcs of season 1 moreso than anything when they think of it as ultimately superior. I remember a lot of peoples intial reaction to the first season as "Great opening, but the stories a little cliche" and there were a lot of confused people who had no idea what to make of it. I personally feel this season has had a more clear focus with goals set out for the characters than the first season, but then that's because they built on all the stuff from the first season to get to this point.

I also think also that the second season has been focused more on the plot that is Lelouch's battle against Britannia then character development which dominated the first season (he's gotten way more done this season then the last one) because a lot of the major characters I think have already seen most of their character development and all that's really left for them are their resolutions. That's why C.C is kind of quiet this season pending the climax of her character and why Karen is just sort of their as support for Lelouch. She's had her big moments and now it's time for newer characters like Li, Rolo, Gino and Anya to enter the picture as catalysts for whatever comes next.

That's true enoguh, I suppose - C.C. can only receive further development within the Geass-plotline, Kallen only have her confrontation with her Britannian side as well as her feelings for Lelouch left to be solved and so on. and it would be a shame, now, if the new characters were given noa ttention at all? Maybe, the new characters is more or less the only thing they can develop without finishing anything unlike the others...

A few weeks back I said they could be setting Kallen up to die, this current development seems to validate that thought. If she is brought to the Emperor then the rebel Kallen we knew would be for intents and purposes be dead, leaving a corpse pretending to be alive.

Dann had his hopes built up in season 1 and then kicked out from under him(or so he thinks) with all of Kallens devolpment. They could just have been setting us Kallen fans up for the same type of fall.

It's not really the same situation as I see it; Dann mostly laments that C.C. in his eyes is lost as Lelouch's LI, but at least, she's still at Lelouch's side. Her characher haven't changed. She still has a part in the Geass-plot to play. A Kallen mindwipe would, as I said, be worse: It'd practically destroy her character, which is worse than C.C's situation.

Just watched the episode. This battle finally spell the end of the eunuch. Xingke well done in wiping them out. As expected from Lelouch.

Shinkirou is impressive. That is the impregnable fortress which held the strongest defense saving Tianzi and Xingke. That scene is touching for Xingke hope that Tianzi can be saved. Anyone will do :upset:. Glad that Lelouch saved them on time. I see that it can even travel back to Area 11 in submarine mode without problem :p. Can anyone track it down and find Zero?

Unfortunately, they didn't manage to retrieve Kallen. Suzaku took her. Poor Kallen, I hope her memory won't be tampered. Suzaku is going to be hated again. Lelouch will retrieve her. Let's just be patient. There may be some battles between them before their reunion.

Xingke and Tianzi reunion is touching. Another pinky promise made.

I didn't expect the Geass Cult to be an underground city. Although we did see a sketch of it. The headquarter shifted location whenever there is a change of leadership if I understand correctly? It is located in CF now according to V.V. who told C.C. Not even Rolo knows the exact location according to C.C. I really like to know about the history of C.C. with the headquarter? Is she the one who set up the cult etc?


Next episode, we see 2 Lelouches. I hope the real one won't be having a hard time and was caught while the fake one was running about. The real one better find somewhere to hide :heh:.

Good episode. Kallen is captured by Suzaku in the end, just as expected. I do not see her being converted and fighting for Britannia at all. Just not going to happen, not unless the Emperor messes with her memories. Of course, maybe Suzaku would hand her over to him to be messed with. Which would be very f**ked up so I hope he doesn't. Poor Kallen, wonder how long she will be away from the Black Knights. There's no way she is showing up at Ashford next episode. She's probably being shipped to Britannia.

The scene between Anya and C.C. is fascinating and makes one wonder what Anya's connection to Marianne is. I'm glad they did this because before it was starting to look like there wasn't much to Anya at all and that she'd just be a boring typical character.

Shinkirou was cool, but I really hope to see more of what it is capable of.

I don't think Lelouch's new mech is anything more than a giant wall, OP or not. It's weapon seems like it forces him to stay completely still to use, assuming it works like real crystals where the angle of incidence matters to how the reflecting of the beam would occur. It's also a rather whimsical weapon that cannot possibly target anything specific and simply fires at everything, and from the looks of it it can only fire within a certain radius.

I like to think Lelouch new mech as a Creature - Wall 0/10000 from MtG.

If you want a God-mech in CG, point at the mechs Lulu pilots.

Gawain was wrecked by a 5th generation model. It was hardly anything special aside from an inferior version of Mordred.

I don't see where calling the new KMF invincible comes from. Like any shielding system it cannot last forever. The unit is forced to remain still to use its weapon. We have no idea how long the recharge is, the energy demand, or if it can even be fired more than once.

It was a good episode, but not much else, teasing us with bits and pieces of the Geass plot and other aspects.

I expected the mecha combat to be better, but unfortunately they didn't really give it enough time. Lelouch's new mecha is cool though, so hopefully it makes up for the lack of Guren.

I don't know what is going to happen to Kallen, speculations and all, but hope it's not too predictable...though on the brighter side, at least the previous lack of C.C. screen time is over, since she got it all back (and fanservice, to boot).

Well it's not a bad episode, actually I liked it but how can they put a comedic episode after this one ? That's just lame !

I fear for Kallen, I hope she won't be brainwashed :upset:. And Lelouch could have used his new Shinkirou sooner. The last episode, the order was like :" OMG Noooo Kallen !!! " This time it was more : "Yeah we won ! The power of love powaaa ! ...Kallen ? Who's that ? " :frustrated: (<=== Don't mind it, my fangirl side takes the best of me).

I was cheering on Xinge Ke when he cut the Eneuchs, I'm glad they're dead !

So Suzaku is some king of fetichist, interesting....Oh yeah and how is Kallen supposed to eat when she is gagged :heh:. I loled when Lelouch was thinking about marrying Tian xi to Tamaki.

Gino is a skilled pilot, I like him when he's in "serious mode". Anya rub me the wrong way but I don't know why... Too bad Suzaku , I was just beginning to find you less irritable. (<== my fangirl side, again )

I'm a bit disappointed, I was hoping we will see less "Ashford" since Milly will soon graduate but now that Anya and Gino have joined...

I was going to give it 8/10, but the preview makes it loose one point (more if it wasn't for Cornelia), so it's a 7/10.

This episode redeemed itself within itself for me.

The first 1/3 or so was like the episode had ADD. It changed around so much I started getting a headache (okay, not really, but you get my drift).

But the last 1/3 was just golden. It was nice to have some lighthearted fun even with some advancements of plot alongside. Tamaki/Shirley phone-call scene did it for me. That was awesome.

And Sayako with the kiss...... Ooooooooo!:love: Man, I would gladly drop my C.C./Lulu fixation to see Shirley and Lulu (just as long as it's not Kallen/Lulu at the end, I don't really care).

And the C.C. fanservice was nice. Why can't she be on screen more this season? It's pissing me off.

The one real plot point about which I cared in this episode was C.C. and Anya about 1/3 of the way through. Definitely proving some points made by some around here. Can't wait to see that developed.

The preview for next week looks pretty good as well. Looks like a nice change-of-pace move.

I dunno about that last part. That seems way out of left field to me (and it's a good thing I used a baseball reference because I forgot about the College World Series tonight).

Anya will be related, in some manner, to Lulu. I think we can all agree on that. But a plot twist like the one you describe would be kinda detrimental to the show. I can see fans saying, "So why the F did I just watch this show for the last two years?"

I agree. It seems like its getting more gundamesque with the battles and lack of drama. What made me love the first season was the DRAMA and lackthereof is sort of pissing me off. The whole "love" scene was also a turn off. We got enuf animes that deal with that crap, code geass is suppose to be exciting for the whole backstabbing and the scheming. This episode didn't really do that for me since whatever scheming there was wasn't exciting or entertaining imo. Watching these episodes... sometimes I wonder if there's an entirely different staff writing the scripts for the second season. 6/10

I think the reason most people are bashing R2 is because they are comparing it to the greatness of the season 1 finale. I've rewatched season 1 many times and I can say that R2 is advancing at a much quicker pace. Theres no reason to be dissapointed, the story will get much better as we approach the climax.

This episode is pretty good.
I was too focused on the conversation between Zero and the Generals to enjoy the mecha fights.
There were a couple of good C.C. fanservice but it was so obvious though that I'm like "of all the angles they could use, they chose that one, blah /rolleyes".
LOL I don't know why Lelouch had to pilot that new mech. We all know, he can't fight in a mech but all it did was stand though so I thought it is pretty realistic that Lelouch could pwn people with it. After all, he is the King and kings have better maneuverability than pawns.

I hate the way he takes off the mask when he is inside a mech. It's like foreshadowing of Plot Shield Haxxor. When he does that, we all know that he will be awesome and the mech won't take heavy damage. The public can't know his true identity so the mech can't be damaged to the point where he has to get out.

Isn't Lelouch, Suzaku, and Shirley graduating as well? I like Lelouch's new KMF, but at the very least it should have a at least one custom handgun mounted on one of its arms. I really hope that Suzaku doesn't sellout Kallen to the emperor, like he did Lelouch. However it wouldn't surprise me if he did just to get a better position among the KOR. I think he would have to go to the emperor, because Kallen wouldn't willingly betray Lelouch. I can't wait to see how Anya is related to Lelouch, whether she is a clone of his mother, his sister, his cousin, or his mother in a younger body.

Your right about how he committed the attack, but as for the wiring, technology is incredibly advanced in this universe its not impossible to develop coils that can relay that much energy needed to take on Shen Hu's cannon like that, you see that in the modern era as well with rapid improvements in wiring and energy transfer over the course of human history ;)

ah did you, must have missed it. The attack just kinda came out of nowhere, which was the weirdest thing. Granted on the wiring, but considering that it was as strong as the baryon cannon, the aesthetics/practicality behind mordred's and lancelot's oversized cannons seems foolish then. /shrug

On the whole mindwipe thing. I don't think they'll go with the turn kallen into a britannian supporter route, but that would keep with the "throwing the lion cub into the ravine to make him stronger" route that some people expect of the emperor. Emperor would probably enjoy it too. Lelouch already has to fight against the guy he considered his best friend; now he would have to fight against his most loyal subordinate. Ugh, don't want.

If a mindwipe occurs, i'm more expecting a simple go back to life as a britannian girl, forget about helping OoBK, your japanese heritage, etc take, which also keeps in line with a "for your own good" mentality from Suzaku, and would be his twisted way of answering Shirley and Rivalz's request of leniency for her. Is a mindwipe likely though? I think so; remember emeperor was using Lelouch as bait for CC, rewrote ashford students memories too. Kallen can just be another trap to set for Zero/CC.

It's due to the hype, people place the show on a pedestal that no show can reach. One example, people have criticized Lelouch for the past two weeks for not combining with Xinge's forces, without letting it be explained then when it is, it hardly gets any credit.

Basically a show on a pedestal gets hammered for anything it can.:rolleyes:

Does it excuse unexplained plot holes? No.

Does it mean there won't be bad writing? No.

It also doesn't mean people should say things are confirmed before they happen, whether it's about how next episode will turn out with it being a school episode, what will happen with Kallen, or romance.

You can speculate, anything else is arrogance.

I mean... why is it that Kallen hates Britannia anyway besides her brother dying? I'm guessing she could never identify herself as a Britannian because of the poor role model her father was, or maybe he was never there to be a role model in the first place. I think she defaulted into identifying herself as Japanese.

I just finished watching the episode, but I couldn't rewatch so I'm wondering something. I don't understand Japanese so I had to rely on translations and Lelouch and C.C. were talking about the leader of the cult and then C.C. mentions that the location of the cult changes with the leader.

Lelouch then questions if she's sure that's where the cult is (I think, can't remember) and she mentions she got that information from V.V., her successor. Does that mean that C.C. was at one time the leader of the cult and V.V. was the leader after?

Maybe once they learned to hand out Geass, they're fired from leader position or something. Anyways, like I said, I was only able to watch it once due to some circumstances so I greatly appreciate any explanations or inputs from all of you.

I'm guessing she could never identify herself as a Britannian because of the poor role model her father was, or maybe he was never there to be a role model in the first place. I think she defaulted into identifying herself as Japanese.

The guy could attempt to make amends, but I'm thinking that Kallen's father's involvement will be a negative one overall.



Well, for starters she grew up as a Japanese, its her culture and was her life up until the invasion and trust me, if the fields of the charred corpses the Nunnally, Lelouch, and Suzaku passed by it definitely wasn't a pretty sight that would suddenly endear you to Britannia as well :heh:

My main reason for that comment though was about the line Kallen said back in Stage 2 of Season 1. How even if she got captured she's only get a slap on the wrist unlike everyone else in the resistance group. Well, now she got captured, I think it's a good opportunity to see whether or not that line actually comes true and if it does I feel it will have to do in large part to her father, especially since the writers and staff have been keeping everything about him under wraps so far which makes me suspicious as to his eventual involvement in the plot, as this would also be a good way to introduce him as well... >_>

I just finished watching the episode, but I couldn't rewatch so I'm wondering something. I don't understand Japanese so I had to rely on translations and Lelouch and C.C. were talking about the leader of the cult and then C.C. mentions that the location of the cult changes with the leader.

Lelouch then questions if she's sure that's where the cult is (I think, can't remember) and she mentions she got that information from V.V., her successor. Does that mean that C.C. was at one time the leader of the cult and V.V. was the leader after?

Maybe once they learned to hand out Geass, they're fired from leader position or something. Anyways, like I said, I was only able to watch it once due to some circumstances so I greatly appreciate any explanations or inputs from all of you.

Hard to give speculation when so little information exists about it, but it did say that "the Order was an organization/group that creates geass users and researches on them". So more geass users appearing is likely, of course that is only speculation.

It's due to the hype, people place the show on a pedestal that no show can reach. One example, people have criticized Lelouch for the past two weeks for not combining with Xinge's forces, without letting it be explained then when it is, it hardly gets any credit.

Basically a show on a pedestal gets hammered for anything it can.:rolleyes:

Does it excuse unexplained plot holes? No.

Does it mean there won't be bad writing? No.

It also doesn't mean people should say things are confirmed before they happen, whether it's about how next episode will turn out with it being a school episode, what will happen with Kallen, or romance.

You can speculate, anything else is arrogance.

I don't even know how can people speculate at this point. I can't even follow or make sense of Lelouch's actions anymore. Is china's army in his command? How? I thought Xingke has a mind of his own. To me, China is more like their ally now. I always thought he would take over countries and not make them allies. I thought he is in China too for political reasons but it turns out he is there for VV and geass research.

I can't even speculate on wth is VV and Orange doing. I can't even follow their conversation but it definitely has something to do with geass but it's like jargon to me atm. If the OotBK are there for geass research then how come they don't visit the ruins in Japan?

The story is going to a direction I cannot foresee. At episodes 1-7, I can pretty much see what's going on, what their objectives are and how Zero is going to create miracles. Now that they are in China, I don't even know wth is going on in terms of politics, technology, and objectives. I can't even predict how Zero is going to win anymore. I definitely did not see a new mech going to be introduced at turn 11 when I watched turn 10. I thought he is going to win by using his environment like he always used to do in S1 like landslide, building collapse and stuff like that. He picked this base to take a stand so I thought he will use the environment but he didn't really use the environment. He won the battle by using a new mech.

All I can comment right now is how I enjoyed each episodes but I definitely cannot even join the speculations people are discussing for 2 reasons. I don't have enough information and a lot of the speculations have no basis that there's really no point in making a comment.

I don't know why people dislike R2 so much. I find it going perfectly well. I guess in a way its a lil bit slower paced but still amazingly good.

Yes, there is that, but I considered that line from her somewhat naive on her part. Was she speaking from experience or does she think that "Daddy's got connections so I'll be safe"? Either way, we'll see soon enough, but I'm very skeptical that Britannia would let a person charged with treason among other things walk, unless Daddy's at the very top of the food chain, and even if he was he'd have to be willing to take some serious heat because no one's getting off without some consequences. I'm still suspecting something more sinister occurring, but that's just my nature.

The first thing I thought when I saw that new Knightmare: "Oh look... Lelouch if he was a Knightmare... I wondered sometimes what his ideal Knightmare would look like." It really suits him, it screams "LELOUCH! LELOUCH!!!"
Too bad about Kallen though, but she doesn't seem to be entirely upset about it. At least she's been taken hostage by someone she knows, instead of some strange military person. Then there's the whole, "I'll rescue you Kallen!" bit which seemed to make her quite happy to hear from Lelouch. Next episode is going to try to lighten up the story a bit, when they should be keeping on the pressure. Oh well, its going to be a few more episodes for some Kallen resolution.

I don't blindly love Kallen, but I understand and respect her. Plus, she has that special attachment (or wants, I guess...) to Lelouch and when he freaks out she gets all happy. That could probably explain why everyone's pissed at Suzaku for taking her.
