To continue from the ch. 80 thread, since it seems to be priscilla with Raki, chances of them comming to help Lune out with her situation are improving. Also if Raki's words are correct (and the spoiler is true) we may see an eventual showdown between him and priscilla (not likely). it would be pretty cool to see, but Raki would obviously be outclassed in every way. I'd love to see how he would pull through, if that's even possible.

a) won't lead to a falling out between him and Clare if Clare kills Priscilla
b) Raki still has connections to both Isley + Priscilla (no way someone like Isley will be killed off screen)

ラキを覚えている者がいて妖魔だと疑うけど、村人を説得
ドレッドヘアーのクレイモアが来て、どのようにして妖魔を切ったかを問う
詰め寄ってきたクレイモアにラキが連れている小さな子が触れると怯えだすクレイモア

そして、ラキはクレイモアにクレアの事について聞くが、
クレイモア「最下位である47番の戦士はそのような名前ではない、つまり、その戦士は既にこの世にはいない 」
しかしラキは笑って
ラキ「クレアは必ず生きて再び会うと言った　だから死んでないと信じてる　必ず生きて俺をまだ探し続けてる 」

ドレッドヘアーのクレイモアはナンバー6のルネ
最後にルネは問う
ルネ「そいつが口にするのは 人のそれ か？」
ラキ「俺がこの子と旅を始めたのは数年前 　それ以来彼女は何一つ口にしていないよ
　　　だけどそろそろ限界に近いと思う　その時は全力をかけて止めるつもりでいるけどきっと無 理だ

プリシラと共にラキも街を出る

場面はルネ
何かに追われているが、足に自信のあるルネは逃げて、相手は追うのを諦めたと思っているルネ
しかし、実は誘い込まれていたルネは攻撃される

煽り「ルネを捕獲したリフルの目算とは！？」

From what I can understand from it:

The org's new eye(forget her name) appeared with funny hairstyle (http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj161/jonovax/pickup_t11p.jpg)
She talked with Raki, after they are seperated, she was attacked. (probably by Riful)

Finally a spoiler worth wasting time on. I'll do what I can to get speed translate as much of it as I can (at the expense of accuracy):


After Raki kills the youma infront of the surprsed villgers, a Claymore shows up and asks who killed the youma.
Raki is startled by the appearance of a Claymore and flinches at the mention of the little girl.

Then Raki asks the Claymore if she knows anything about Clare.

The Claymore answers: "I don't recollect that name among the 47 warriors, so that warrior is probably no longer alive"

Raki says: "Clare told me we would surely meet again, so I believe she's not dead."

Turns out that Claymore is number 6, Rune/Lune

Finally Rune asks: "that one... does she eat humans, or...?"

Raki answers: "I've been travelling with her for several years, and she has never eaten anyone. But I think she's reaching her limit. When she does, I'll try to stop her with all my might, but it's probably futile. At that time she will probably eat me."

Together, Raki and Pricilla leave down the street.

Scene change to Rune,
Rune is running away but is attacked.

Narration: Rune was captured by Riful - what can we expect?



Keep in mind this is a lunch break rough translation. I usually take a lot more time to make sure I'm a lot more accurate - there WILL be inaccuracies.

If Raki passed by Rabona with this girl one year before all this incident, and it's been a few years since Galatea is at Rabona, then... shouldn't Galatea have sensed this girl if she is who we really think she is?
Hmmm... I feel that Galatea's senses are going to be nerfed again. I don't like that.

And we finally met Lune. Number #6 seems a good rank, but I wouldn't be so sure in a generation like hers.
Anyway, it's always interesting (in a strange way) to see Riful's interactions with a Claymore, especially an useful one like Lune.
Let's see Riful's approach, I think she will really use strength now, and that speaks bad for Lune. Nonetheless she doesn't need Lune to awaken, somehow Riful just wants her talent at yoki manipulating for some purpose.
I hope we'll find out what this purpose is in the next chapters, I guess it would be a lot more interesting than Raki's epic adventures through the continent as people are expecting.

By the way, if Raki is travelling alone with Priscilla, then where the hell is Isley?
It doesn't make sense him letting these two (or at least Priscilla) go and travel around. Without Priscilla close to him, he loses all his strategic advantage against all the powers in the continent.

To Isley it doesn't matter if Priscilla is cose to him or not. He only does what Priscilla wishes (going south) and if there is someone else who can fulfill her wish easier, Isley wont try to get her back or keep her with himself. Why he wanted to make her stronger I don't really know, but maybe for her to reach the south for sure.

I'm no good with all this spoiler stuff, and i'm usually wrong, but that picture looks wrong... it's like someone pasted an image from a random pieta claymore onto a background and put some speech bubbles in... If Lune appeared so much in the text, how comes it's only a back shot of her.../?

I think the picture looks pretty normal for a chinlation scan of Claymore. The hardest part of drawing something that actually looks like a manga is getting the tones right, especially because they do not scan well and look rather funny when put through a computer. It could be cut and pasted but I do not think so.

And guys, I can't believe I didn't make the connection before; Little girl on shoulder, no sense of direction, powerful character who kills monsters: zaRAKI Kenpachi!

Inconsistencies that might arise by the girl being Priscilla can be explained pretty easily. Much like the question as to how Galatea could hide in a city for 7 years without anyone noticing she was a silver eyed witch unless she had a cart full of yoki pills. The answer made perfect sense; she cut her own eyes out. Or how the ghosts survived Pieta. Or how Irene hid herself for years. All these new pieces of information came from a development in the plot, not in something that had been seen before. It was a surprise, but it made perfect sense and was consistent. That will keep happening in the story. Priscilla has always been difficult to read and if she was not eating anyone in Rabona Galatea probably wouldn't go ballistic and get org people to help kill her. I think it can be explained pretty easily if Yagi wants to go that way. The spoiler is still unconfirmed though.

I guess if this is true, and we actually did the signature bet, I would be wearing some goofy picture as a signature with the text "OWNED BY CHIBA" or something like that for the next month. :(




Well, this spoiler is so similar to the one we got yesterday which many people put off as fake, and not from just this board. The spoiler that we read was just a very short English translated version of it, and the translator admittedly wasn't very good at translating it.

I don't know if this spoiler is just the same from yesterday, but in its original Japanese text form, or untranslated.

I'm not yet sure if it's real or not. At least not 80% sure.

Unless we see Raki come back to rescue Lune, I think that's probably the last we'll see of Lune for a while. I don't think we'll find out Riful's "secret" just yet.



This scene might be like the scene where right after Clare leaves Irene, Raphaela shows up, and we don't know what happens. We're just supposed to assume that Raphaela kills Irene.

The next chapter will probably be back on Raki. And I'm not a Raki-lubber. It's just that even with this spoiler, there is just still too much stuff to tell the readers about Raki's and Priscilla's side.

Well Priscilla theorists like to believe that as Priscilla's mind started to regress, so did her body. The more Priscilla's mind started to become like that of a child, the more her body also started to become like a child as well.



A lot of us would also like to know of Isley's motive. We have no clue so far.

I like to think that Isley was planning something all along, because he didn't want Luciela + Riful allying up against Priscilla.

Isley + Priscilla > Luciela + Riful, but Luciela + Riful > Priscilla alone.

So I think Isley was planning on taking a trip somewhere for some reason and possibly leave Priscilla by herself?

That way, in order to plan for that, Isley took out Luciela so Riful can't defeat Priscilla by herself, and Isley was also very willing to teach Raki some fighting skills so Raki wouldn't be useless in helping or traveling with Priscilla?

If Raki's skill has anything to say, Isley has found a soft spot for our zaRAKI. He wouldn't have trained him to this level of proficency if Isley didn't think anything of him to begin with. This is of course notwithstanding that Raki isn't mixed with any youma as far as we know. :heh:

And due to Priscilla's lack of human consumption, could she be shrinking? :heh: Just a thought. We have dubbed the 'human' forms of ABs as their energy conserving modes in earlier discussions so could her body be unconciously shrinking itself to deal with the lack of incoming food?

Finally, my only real question for Isley is does he, the former #1 of the Male Claymore Generation, have ANY knowledge of the facts and happenings that Miria has stumbled upon. If so, he has to play a much larger role in later chapters.

You know, it might be very interesting if Raki wants to find Clare because of the promise he made to her and also because he knows Clare crossed her limits and returned to being a Claymore. He does not know about Clare's partially awakened form and he never met Jean, but really if the spoiler is true Raki might want to save Priscilla knowing full well she is a monster. Though, of course, unconfirmed information as of yet.

I would love the development of an AB who does not eat people because of an awakening of their human heart. We have seen many diverse types of awakenings. Ophelia was able to separate and concentrate what remained of her human self from her awakened form. Hilda was able to hold herself back from attacking. Jean held her human mind completely. Each awakening seems to be unique to the characters personality. Even if they do all have the desire for guts they do not all embrace it. I think eventually a character will completely awaken and then return in an extension of soul linking and individuality of an awakened character. I thought Priscilla would be a choice candidate, but it will be a very long time before that is shown.

... wish we had more to go off than a few paragraphs and an ambiguous picture. It reminds me of the very end of FF IV when you finally see Kain with his helmet off... from behind.

What changed was Priscilla entering the picture. If Isley wanted to go back to his cave, he would never have offered his services to Priscilla. He would never have attacked Riful, the Organization, and Luciela.

He could have just went back to his cave and live the same way for another 100 years.




I don't know, I feel like Isley sees Priscilla as a tool more so than a person or fellow Awakened Being. He's a loner. He doesn't care much for others unless he can use them (the 24 ABs including Rigaldo).

I don't think he cares if Priscilla eats humans or not, she's probably useful to him as long as she is alive and can be used for a specific purpose at a later date or event.

Why else would Isley be so nice to Raki? Was it love at first sight? Even if Isley is generally a nice guy (which I doubt since he sends ABs to their deaths and destroys the entire North), he's an AO and probably doesn't care much for humans.

The only reason why Raki is with Isley is because Priscilla got attached to him. Isley doesn't seem to mind, maybe he likes the fact that Priscilla will have some company.

And maybe he doesn't mind teaching Raki the sword or giving him some fancy armor so that Raki can make sure Priscilla is alive until Isley needs her.

Well, I'm a fan of the "Isley is a really bad guy" theory for good reasons.
Despite all his calm and serene look, and all the good things that he may have done with Raki, he is the one who ordered the slaughter of Pieta and other cities in the north, his own realm.

What I get from Isley is that he wants to use Priscilla as leverage for something.
His smile from ES 3 summarized what seems to be his real intentions with Priscilla.
It's definitely not because he was happy to serve her.

At this point, the mystery in Claymore is within Isley's and Rubel's hidden agenda. And Miria's informant. I'm not used to speculate hard about things that are going to happen in the story, but maybe Isley, Rubel and Miria's informant are connected by similar (or opposing) purposes.

You could be right.

If I was writing the story, I would leave it like that, and want the audience to crave it more for later on. If that last narration is correct, then that's really all the audience needs to know from the author's point of view. Riful has captured Lune. And then the suspense grows. Much like the Irene and Raphaela scene which just cuts right back to Clare fighting Ophelia.

Well, if Isley does go to the other continent, I don't think the setting will shift out there or anything. We'll probably just see Isley after he comes back to the Claymore island.

Exactly, he definitely had plans for her, at least I thought so.

Riful, who said she knew Isley the best, also said that he was not kind or warm-hearted as her. He certainly is up to something, but we don't know the details yet.

Nevertheless if somebody kills Priscilla in her starving state, it would be so lame. I was really looking forward to see her in action. :(

Of course we still have to wait and see if this spoiler is in fact true. Anyways another possibility is that Priss doesn't kill Raki, and he fails to stop her. She could chow down on a few towns, and then Raki can tell Claire that she's the only one who can beat Priss.

I've been looking quite a while for a similar Flora's or Teresa's image (they both have a similar back view in the manga because of their hair) and I found nothing. But yes, I agree Lune's pic doesn't smell too well, at least with that quality of scanning.

About the spoiler, some things still sounds quite 'rare' to me... of course the girl can be Priscilla, but I still think she is too short. And, watching all the spoiler content... ¿don't you think it's very little information? I mean, ¿about 25-30 pages in only a simply dialogue between Lune and Raki, and then Lune being hunted down by Riful? That sounds more like a weekly manga of about 15 pages.

Aaaaarg, I can't wait to get a confirmed and complete spoiler, or at least a partial scanlation >_<

Yeah, the picture and the spoiler seem to be from two different sources since one is in Japanese and one is in Chinese.

Both probably made its way into tsstorry though, and then eventually into animesuki. But they are not from the same place.


Like I said earlier, this particular spoiler has been out for more than a full day now. This is probably just the original Japanese kanji/katakana/hiragana text of what we've seen earlier.


It's interesting, because Jonova talked about people who say they've actually seen the Chinese scanlations of Chapter 81. And those people actually talk about Lune having a funny or weird hairstyle. But, we don't see or hear about Lune with a weird hairstyle in either the picture or the spoiler.


The only thing in common with the picture, the spoiler, and the discussions of people who supposedly seen the scanlations is that Lune appears.

Honestly, if Lune appears and captured by Riful, then I couldn't be happier! It means that Galatea will no longer be #1 on Riful's hit list and her chances of survival went up 100 fold :). Sucks to be Lune... but hey... she took one for the team. RIP Lune.

Well, assuming the spoiler is true, besides the part where Lune gets attacked and captured, not much action seemed to occur in this chapter. This spoiler is more realistic than the other ones, but it seems a tad too short to be an average Caymore chapter of around 30 pages. I also still have my doubts that the girl is Priscilla until proven otherwise.

But yeah, the capture of Lune by Riful would save Galatea from that fate, or at least buy her more time. :D

Well, you cant really blame them for translating something into their own language for the Chinese fans, its just that they somehow have the skills/ability to acquire the raws early. Its not their fault that the English community downloads their translation and guesses/misunderstands it due to the lack of understanding of Chinese. That's like some Spanish/French speaking people only having access to English translation but dont understand the english blaming us for translating it in the first place. I personally would rather have it a couple of days early and not understand the content than wait another week for the "proper" English translation to come out. At least I can look at it for now.

tss always release their raw scan on the same day jump magazine on sale if they happened to have it eariler, and as far as I know they don't have the raw for this month yet, so how are they sitting on the raws while letting scanlation causing all sorts of problems?

Even if they do have the raws and decided to keep it to themselves, it is their own damn freedom to. They were the one who actually spent money and time to buy he magazine and scan it. I really don't see how any of us are in the position to blame them.

It is true that I haven been taking parts of their scanlation here, because I thought there are people would like to see the information regarding the new chapters as soon as possible just like me, and I'd like to share my knowledge with them. If that really irritates most people here then I apologize for that , and I won't do it again.

Well I try not to look at the Chinese translation either, even though I understand it. But its not their fault that the English community downloads their stuff to try to find out, even with limited understanding, what happens next, so we cant really blame the tsstory guys for translating it for their own purposes if we voluntarily read it... i mean we can resist it and wait for the japanese raws to come out, but I personally cant.

No no, that's not the issue Jonova. We appreciate ANYTHING we get. It just flusters us that the base element to the equation, the raw manga, comes out AFTER the chinlations. We do not know why this happens. It does not make sense. It is the same for Naruto or Bleach (if I remember correctly, it has been a while since I scoured). Somehow the chinese manga bootleggers get ahold of the raws, scan them, clean them, translate them, distribute them on-line sometimes days BEFORE the uncleaned raw comes out. It is mind boggling.

Of course I do not mind that they translate it and distribute the chinlations quickly. That is awesome for them. I just wish someone would put the raws out that they have to use to get there.

They dont have to put out the raws, why would they? When fansubber releases an anime, they dont release the raw they translated from at the same time too. That job is for raw distributor/providers. They people at tss are translating for the Chinese community that read their translation because they dont understand the raws in the first place, not for us. Since they do buy the magazine like everyone else and get their scans and translates from that, and do it so fast before anyone else, it just shows how much they love the series, be it Claymore or otherwise. If you are angry at anyone you should be angry at the japanese raw providers, maybe they should do the same thing as the guys at tss and be faster in their raw releases, since they are slower than those that produce the raw PLUS translate it to another language. But like I said before, they are all doing us a great service when they dont have to so no one should be blamed for anything.

As for why Chinese get their translation first, I believe that they Japanese/Chinese releases are released around the same time, and that the Japanese magazines are produced in China, hence the reason Chinese scans get out b4 Japanese RAWS.

I would get the raws first, from the same place I got the subs btw, to practice my japanese some. Then I would watch the subs with my brother and see how close I (or they) were to the meanings. And you can't buy a magazine that isn't out yet. The chinlations come out before the manga is even put on sale. Usually the same for raws. Raws are easier to put out than a full scanlation. Much easier. You just scan them.

I know they love the series. I do too. And it is probably not their fault. It just means someone is sitting on the raws because they have to have raws to make a scan. It is impossible to do otherwise. Also I had quite a few Chinese and Korean friends in Japan. So the idea that none of them read Japanese and would appreciate a raw is a little silly. That would be like assuming that is true for english speakers. We are not normal people. We are anime & manga fans. We are insane. And some of us will learn Japanese just to read and understand these things. It is just how the community is.

Isley dead? That would be a waste. While the regression to a child theory that most people have proposed sounds shaky at best, I'm more or less open to anything now while waiting for Installment 81 to get released.

As for why Chinese scans come out first - I believe Claymore has got a huge following among the Chinese (not just in China, but definitely in the main ethnic Chinese regions - HK, Taiwan, Singapore, even Malaysia). If it is really true that tsstorry are the real authors, then probably the raws come out both in Chinese & Japanese language at the same time. And they circulate the Chinese ones first, since they don't need to wait for the JS/ SJ release date.

Reading the Chinese raws sort of keeps my mind sharp, but waiting a few days for the English ones is much more convenient.

This is exactly what happens. It's most likely the store owners who already have shipments and scan them as soon as they arrive.

Stores are supposed to sell at a release date, but that doesn't mean that the store owners can't buy one themselves.

That's how video/computer game shop owners always get the new games/game consoles before they are released in America. :frustrated: And they don't have to wait in line.



And I don't think it's all the guys at tsstorry. Tsstorry is a community, just like Animesuki. It's probably 1 or a couple guys there who scan it. Everyone else at tsstorry is like us, itching and waiting to see it.

As far as I know tss gets their raw from someone who lives in Japan.
The magazines's street day(meaning the day the stores are allowed to sell the magazines) are 4th of every month, but naturally the magazines will be delivered to the the store before that date. So if you work at the store or know some one who does, you get to read the magazines couple days eariler.

I'm in the same boat as Chiba here (studying Japanese and all). All I want is for the ORIGINAL langauge version to come out first.
Tsstorry, at least recently, seemed to sit on their japanese raws for days and days after their chinese version that beats the japanese release date.

As for time and money to the get the magazine - I'm soon clear of blame there too, and have even more reason to be irritated. I just got a Jump SQ subscription (it starts the issue after this I think).

I investigated several places - most of the time the magazines are sent from Japan to some wherehouse distro in the US, and then sent off to customers. When I asked how long this would take, they said about 2 weeks after the release date at the earliest. Finally I found a place that airmails it direct from Japan. Incidentally, the postage costs well over 5 times the actual magazine price.

I don't really care what they do with their presumably bought versions of the magazines. The thing that bothers me most is that no matter what I do I cannot get my hands on an unbastardized version on Claymore before (or at the same time as) they do - regardless of what I'm willing to pay (and yes, I mean overnight FedEx if I need to).

I don't see why the Japanese release should be on the 4th of a month, and the Chinese release be on about the 2nd. Getting Chinese imitations when the real thing is not available yet just bothers me. No matter what I do though, I cannot get my hands on the next Claymore release at the same time as they do. This dependance bothers me, I don't think it's fair, and I start resenting them and mostly resenting the country's lax attitude towards copyrights and respect of release dates which allows this thing to happen over and over again.

They could at least mitigate most this resentment by releasing the original at the same time as they release their Chinese version if they are going to beat the release date. They often don't. It feels like they're mocking me.

What you do however, does not irritate me or anything at all, instead I am really grateful for it. Ultimately I need my Claymore fix, and I'll read it in Swahili if that's the first langauge it comes out in. You bringing the pics and spoilers here is appriciated by me as I have trouble navigating that site of theirs to find it myself. I thank you for this (so please don't take any of this blame I have for them, upon yourself - you're awesome (thanks)!).

Now it's explained why they don't release the RAW before their scanlations.
But it's still weird why they do that.
By not releasing the RAW until the sales date, they seem to be respecting the sales date.
But that's a lot of hypocrisy if they are using the same very scans to actually release their own scanlation before.

What they accomplish with this is the release of the chapter for all the chinese community a lot earlier while mocking all the community around the world.

I definitely agree with Cyclone and Gooral, there is no real reason for them to not release the RAW along with their chinlations.

The Claymore community all around the world would thank them instead if they could fulfil this big favor.

I've decided to re-translate the spoiler as there were parts I glossed over and, as promised, parts I got just plain wrong (Hey - lunchbreak at work - best I could do under the circumstances). Still not sure it's 100% right, but should be a lot better.

After Raki kills the youma infront of the surprsed villgers,

The people who remember Raki are suspicious of him being a youma, but he persuades the villagers.
A "Dread Hair"(=dreadlocks probably) comes, and asks how was the youma killed.
As the Claymore draws nearer, the Claymore touches the little girl with Raki and becomes frightened (* still not sure I got this part right - ie. who was frightened).

Then Raki asks the Claymore if she knows anything about Clare.
The Claymore answers: "I don't recollect that name among the 47 warriors, so that warrior is probably no longer of this world"
Raki smiles/laughs.
Raki: "Clare said we would surely meet again, so I believe she's not dead. She's surely alive so I'll keep searching for her"

The dreadlocked Claymore is number 6, Rune/Lune

Finally Rune asks: "that one... does she eat humans, or...?"

Raki answers: "I've been travelling with her for several years, and she has never eaten anyone. But I think she's reaching her limit. When she does, I'll try to stop her with all my might, but it's probably futile. At that time she will probably eat me."

Together with Pricilla, Raki leaves down the street.

Scene change to Rune,
Something is chasing, and a confident of her speed Rune is running away, and Rune thinks her persuer has given up the chase.
But really, Rune was being trapped and was attacked.

Just so everyone knows, the raw usually appears shortly after the chinese scan does. The releases at tsstorry have restrictions placed on them and from what I can tell, the raws require a higher access level then the chinese scan does.

Back on topic, it'll be interesting to see a claymore with dreadlocks. Lune will be pretty for sure, but no where near as beautiful as her senior, Galatea. :D

I think that the girl with Raki (Priscilla or not) will sense the large amount of yoki from Riful and tell Raki about it, which he will investigate and help Lune. It's either that or Yagi will pull another Irene and just have the events happen offscreen and later have Riful show up with an awakened Lune at her side.

True i guess , one of Priscilla's abilities as a claymore was yoki suppression. On top of the fact Lune was alot closer so may need to be close to really sense her.

Well, we now learn that he has been searching for Clare for at least 4-5 years, so probably he was already powerful enough to handle yoma in his young age and with little training when he left Isley. This complicates matters.

Priscilla was the trump card for Isley; he established his whole strategy on controlling Priscilla and even endangered his life by fighting Luciela to preclude a Riful-Luciela alliance. If Isley is letting go of his trump card so easily while Riful is constantly on search for new recruits, Isley's IQ may actually be lower than Duph. :D

I agree. Galatea knew his chances against Agatha and didn't attack her until the Org send some reinforcements who could "help" our sexy nun. So if the girl is Priscilla (I'm still against that theory :) ) of course Galatea could have sensed her, but she didn't assault Priscilla and Raki because she obviously had knew she wouldn't have a chance. Galatea's way of thinking is pretty far from fools like Audrey or Rachel.

I would imagine that such intelligent person like Galatea in the moment of (Miria's) honesty wouldn't neglect to mention that there was a creature far more powerful than Riful in Rabona unless it was a well known fact that Priscilla was über strong. After all it could be an opportunity to win powerful ally or at worst case scenario quite serious contraindication to attack organization.

I am guessing that the dreadlocks/cornrows are painful to draw because of the detail, so anytime Lune is far off, you don't see them as clearly just like in that first picture from the back. But, there are plenty of closeups of Lune.

Seems the scan came out while I went out (Damn you interview, damn you!)

Here's a brief summary of the chapter:

The chapter starts with Lune, who noticed a yoma's yoki disappearing, then decided to check it out.
Once she arrived at the village, she found Raki and asked him how did he know who the yoma was.
Raki replied:" I was lucky, he provoked me and I fought back."
Lune didn't believe that, she grasped Raki in the neck and asked again.
That's when the little girl put her hand on Lune's arm and said: "Are you trying to hurt Raki?"
Lune paid little attention to that until the little girl forcefully pulled Lune's arm away from Raki and asked again. That's when Lune finally realize the little girl's true identity and became very frightened.
Then Raki and Lune talked for abit: Raki asked about Clare, whom of course, isn't known to Lune; Lune asked about the little girl and what she eats, Raki said she haven't eat human since they met and that's why she is so small now. He also said she looks like to be apporaching her limit lately, so if she loses control he will try to stop her but will probably ends up getting eaten by her anyways.
After parting ways with Raki Lune sense a yoki too strong to be handled alone approaching, so she made a run for it. Escaped easily, she made a stop and wondering why would an AB attack org's warriors, only to sense an even greater yoki appearing right behind her. She leaped to dodge the attack but it was too late to evade Riful's thousands of tentacles.
The chapter ends with Riful smiling and saying :"You were able to sense Durf's yoki from so far away, and even mine, although only a split second before I attacked. Congratulations, you have passed the test."

Well if it's true that ABs get younger and younger in appearence the less they eat, that means that Riful obviously eats alot less than Isley does, probably because Duph hogs it all. :p

I don't know though, it's more likely that the events between Lune and Riful will happen off-screen for a while, but I would still like to see a confrontation between Riful and Raki, especially with Priscilla there. Priscilla may try to rescue Lune from Riful while Raki has to keep Duph occupied. He'll probably be outclassed, but all he needs to do is distract him while Priscilla gets Lune. This is just wild speculation though. :heh:

I do think this issue will play a role in the future. It seems like Yagi-sensei has much of the story mapped out in his mind somewhat. The good thing about Claymore's story is that there are always hints thrown out way earlier before we find out the truth. It was noted several times that Priscilla never touched certain girls.

As for why? I'm not sure. During Priscilla's fight with Teresa, her mind started to crack. We know that she had a traumatic childhood. But I don't think we'll find out until later on.

But, if this case with Priscilla is true, Priscilla can suppress her whole yoki aura. Just like one of the Ghosts (who have a much more smaller yoki output).

Yes that was in the fight against the six armed AB. Miria thought that Clare has been training her perceptive abilities (yoki reading), because they are perfect to battle an AB, as they utilize 100% of their available yoki in difference to Claymores, who can go to a maximum of close to 80%.

The organization's stats on Teresa mean nothing, Irene underestimated Teresa, and not just once, it is my humble opinion that Teresa's yoki even outclassed priscilla, given that she only ever used 10% of it.

Believe me, priscilla and theresa are the strongest claymores known so far. The stats in the databook , don't take them to serious especially in priscilla's and theresa's case. Theresa lied to the org about the awakening of rosemarie and the org believed her because it seemed impossible that even theresa could beat an awakened #1. So the stats are based on the orgs knowledge that rosemarie didn't awaken. This is even mentioned in the databook;). Priscilla blocked large quantities of yoki. The first time we saw her real powers was at the end of her fight with easley. So theresa could have an 'S' in all stats except mentality and leadership an S in strength is very very probable because she twisted rosemaries arm off. Please, correct me if i said something wrong.
And S is not automatically equal to another S so theresa's S probably beats alicia's S. But this is speculation.

Glad to see I was right about the little Girl being chibi-Priscilla, and we also get confirmation from Raki that she hasn't eaten anyone in a long time.

Raki also obviously knows her true nature now too.

I am not too surprised that Priscilla can hide her power, even Isley + Rigaldo couldn't measure her full power when she was in her awakened form, and Riful couldn't sense her in her human form until she was practically on top of her.

It wouldn't be a surprise that after 7 years she could hide her Yoki so well, especially if she hasn't been transforming.

As for Isley, it seems increasingly more possible that he is either dead, or Priscilla + Raki escaped from him.

I feel sorry for Lune, she was pretty cute, and now she is in the clutches of one of the strongest ABs in the Claymoreverse.

As for the Data-books, they are from the Organizations point of view, and would probably be accurate in most cases, with the obvious exception of Priscilla + Teresa, and the partial-awakened.


Do note that the "+" in a stat indicates it can increase far above that stat under the right circumstances, so Priscilla's "A+" can potentially be above Teresa's "S."

I think the picture looks pretty normal for a chinlation scan of Claymore. The hardest part of drawing something that actually looks like a manga is getting the tones right, especially because they do not scan well and look rather funny when put through a computer. It could be cut and pasted but I do not think so.

But I also strongly feel that this is not the end of that gal. She is pretty special and I just don't see her being used as someones genie pig for the rest of her life. She would probably get rescued by someone. I did predict the G7 and Co earlier. It might very well be Raki and Prissy who will end up rescuing her in the end. And that's the problem IMO. We have to many rescues in the last chapters and miata didn't awaken. This isn't typical for claymore.

Raki can not sense yoki, and neither of them are on pills. If Raki really was a yoma hybrid, Lune would have sensed it in him like when she sensed Priscilla.

So Raki being a Claymore is pretty much out of the question.

So lil chibi Priscilla has to be a pretty good yoki sensor in the first place to sense Riful. And if she does sense Riful, it is up to her whether or not to tell Raki.

It may be true that this current crop of Claymores is weaker than the one 7 years ago.

But the reason why Galatea was the most powerful Claymore behind Alicia/Beth was because her yoki release factor was the highest out of all the Claymores.

Galatea just didn't like to release too much yoki because it messes up her beauty.

As for being the Eye, Galatea was probably overall better at it than Lune. But I don't think too much better than Lune, since the MiBs had no problem replacing her with Lune. Probably some drop off but not enormous.

Now that Galatea has lost her sight though, her Eye powers could be much stronger than when she was with the Organization.

Well, now that is over. Phew. Irvingarcher asked why I thought it was Priscilla and my main answer is because of how Yagi often foreshadows new characters before their arrival and often brings back old characters. Fenrir thought so too it seems. But it was just a guess from Yagi's style from as far back as Angel Densetsu. This time I got lucky. Now I have to find a sig for tenken, but I really am not a fan of humiliating anyone so this will be hard...

And no way Lune is going to die guys :D Just awaken. Or at least be tortured. And Riful has to show us this secret she has at some point. I'd rather it be sooner than later. But there is something very very important we learned from this chapter and that Lune learned herself;

A full awakening does not mean you have to eat humans.

This is huge. Not a little bit huge. REALLY HUGE. AB's are not all mindless monsters driven by their passions, even ones who have already eaten entire towns full of people. There is hope for them even after awakening. It seems forgiveness for Priscilla becomes more possible with every new development the story gets, though the story will get dark so there is no telling. AB's as allies in the future seems possible. Maybe even an eventual unawakening...

I can't say yet what will happen to Lune, but I wouldn't be surprised if she does end up awakened. As for her bieng weaker, I think that the Org is trying to tone down the genral Claymores. They don't want them living too long, they start to get ideas. If their weaker then theirs a better chance of them dying sooner, and of them bieng less trouble if they awaken. The experimental types like Miatia are one thing, but the org does not trust, or like it's hybrid warriors.

For some reason the moment the idea of Lune awakening popped into my head so did the idea of Yuma fighting her in a manner similer to the Ussop vs Perona fight from one piece.

I would imagine that such intelligent person like Galatea in the moment of (Miria's) honesty wouldn't neglect to mention that there was a creature far more powerful than Riful in Rabona unless it was a well known fact that Priscilla was über strong. After all it could be an opportunity to win powerful ally or at worst case scenario quite serious contraindication to attack organization.

I don't think so, it didn't sound like the best moment IMHO.
Everyone was digesting Miria's revelation, it would be a bit awkward for Galatea to suddenly speak of something that passed by a year ago.
There were more important things in question. Even Riful wasn't mentioned in that conversation.

One of the next interactions that I expect to happen with Galatea is with Clare.
I certainly expect a private conversation between these two when Galatea recovers. In this conversation, maybe Galatea can tell Clare about a very huge yoki aura that passed by a year ago, something that reminded her of Clare's description about an aura as terribly powerful as Riful's aura in the Witch's Maw.

But aside the conversation, I absolutely don't expect an explanation about this though. That would just be cool and make sense.

It's actually reasonable though, besides what happened in the past, it's not like anyone who could really sense would let something like Riful approach.

Lune's reaction towards Priscilla's yoki is totally fitting too. That's the kind of reaction expected of someone not careless. But I wonder what would Priscilla do if Raki let her go against Lune.

Another cool thing that happened in this chapter and some people imagined in this forum is the capability of the "eyes" to avoid trouble due to their superior sensing.
It can be hard to enclose one, but definitely not impossible as demonstrated in this chapter.

Now about Raki, pretty brave what he said about trying to stop Priscilla with all his strength when she crosses her limit.
But I also wonder, what could he possibly do against a berserker Priscilla.
These two look very friendly towards each other by the way.
Can't help to imagine the chaos that will happen when Clare finds out.

I just noticed that in ch 81, Raki seems to be visiting the wreckage that was his home in the beginning. Funny that they didn't bother to rebuild it. It was also amusing to see him yell at one of the villagers. In general, he seems to have good expressions throughout the chapter that really seem to throw Lune off and make her go WTF?

Better Lune than Galatea to become Riful's new toy that's for sure. :p

Ok, we're getting hotter to some releases. I have seen a shot of Raki and the little girl looking at some ruins, and the kid is not looking too happy. Name of chapter roughly translates to "The Contract from Afar".

Are we sure that if Lune awakens, she'll keep her claymore characteristics like excellent yoki sensing? Will awakening strengthen her powers (much better for Riful) or turn her into something different?

And possibilities for Isley:

a) Raki & Priscilla left him in secret:
Improbable, how far can they go before he notices, he could easily track them down. And a man and a girl, who are asking questions about a claymore, are eye-catching and easy to find. And would Raki betray his sensei?

b) Isley went to the other continent:
Improbable. If he has connections with the other side, what was he doing in the north for a century? And what exactly is he doing in the other continent for several years? Why did he leave Priscilla behind?

c) Isley is dead, Priscilla killed him:
Improbable. If Isley didn't play his cards right and got killed by a berserk Priscilla, who was manipulated by Raki, Isley is nothing but a fool, which is very unexpected from his cunning character. Also a fight of this magnitude would be sensed by Riful.

d) They couldn't find Priscilla's family in the south and Priscilla wanted to go on searching for them:
Improbable. Isley would go with them.

e) Isley gave up on Priscilla, she has become useless:
Improbable. Raki would be the reason and it's very easy to solve this problem. Isley and Priscilla were doing fine before Raki.

f) Isley is dead, Alicia killed Isley:
Improbable. The organization wouldn't risk Alicia against Isley/Priscilla, and other claymores and Riful would know if that did happen.

g) A flower pot fell on Isley's head, he suddenly became a good person and let Raki & Priscilla go. He'll stay behind and wait his bitter end until Riful and her troops show up:

I don't know. Isley is probably using them, but I can't help but feel that Isley has a soft-spot for his young apprentice, otherwise he wouldn't have trained him for all this time. He could have just told Raki that he woudn't be able to teach him anything and that would be the end of that, but he didn't.

I think that Isley has use for Raki anyway, he can keep priscilla calm and help her with her (futile) search for her parents while he goes to deal with other pressing matters (don't know what).

I would love to see a scene where Isley, Priscilla, and Raki are fighting side-by-side against strong opponents (Isley and Priscilla in their human form), perhaps DoD's. It's not going to happen but would be completely awesome if it did. :D Afterall, they are the unstoppable trio of awesome. ;)

When I heard Lune had corn rows or dread locks I was really hoping she would be black. Like Yoruichi in bleach or something. Oh well. Maybe that will surface in her awakened form? I don't really consider any of the Claymore to be white simply because this is a Japanese manga about monsters and magic. I consider them to be Japanese fantasy people because that is what they are. I mean, I don't consider Naruto to be white, so why would I assume Clare is as such?

I know that this is a very oscure reference, but I wonder if Bo Derek's 10 was the inspiration for Lune's hairstyle. Now if Yagi ever do an special swimsuit edition of Claymore, Lune may run on a beach with a one piece swimsuit.

it totally looks liek raki got iseley's old armor, there is a close up of his boot, and it's exactly the same as Claymore armor...I wonder if his sword is also Iseley's...maybe the older version, before the org made everything uniform-y?

While yes, I like Lune and don't want to see her tortured, what I really want to see is Riful meet Raki. And due to her propensity to chat, find he has a connection to Claire...


I agree with Chiba, the fact that ABs can reconnect with their humanity to such an extreme degree is huge. I wonder of the Org nows about that little tidbit, that their killing machines can still rebel against their supposed nature.

That's one of the things I love about Claymore, no one is strictly a bad guy or a good guy, it's more like each character has their own motive and believe that what their doing is right. Also, good guys and bad guys change over time, today's enemy is tomorrow's ally, as it were. :D

Honestly girls, is this the type of guy you're all so interested in?

Seems like a real creap to me... Good for Clare that she's rid of him!

Raki as the final boss would be hilarious, though. I still think Raki's a good guy, I have faith in him.

Besides, if Priscilla wanted to eat guts, Raki would be in her belly already. :p And you got to admit that the smile between them towards the end of the chapter was 'awww' worthy

As a side note, Riful looked pretty epic at the end of the chapter. :cool:
