I understand that animes that are released in america on DVD (or anywhere) is considered licensed.
http://www.animeondvd.com/ seems to have most of the licensed animes, but where do you guys (AnimeSuki) get the information on the latest licensed animes? I would like to know because I am an episode uploader on YouTube and have had my account deleted before due to this problem.
The shows that I got banned for were not on the list in the link above or on the animesuki licensed list. I even got copyright infringement claimed by the actual japanese tv company that airs here in the US.
any comments / suggestions / tips?
As long as it's copyrighted, youtube videos are still prone to deletion and its uploaders subject to banning...

yes.. but my question is where do i find out if an anime is copyrighted or not (might help evade the banning if i delete the vids)
?
All animes are copyrighted.
Putting up any anime on youtube at all can and eventually will draw fire from someone. If it's licensed, you can get called on by the either the company who licensed the show, or the origianal producer in Japan, even if it's not, you can still get hit by notifications from the japanese producers or even the TV stations that broadcast the anime in question.
Bluntly put, your chances are pretty much equal across the board that someone is going to file complaints and have you account deleted regardless of what the status of the anime is in english.

ah ic ic lol
thnx for the info
Youtube isn't exactly the dark alleys of the global Internet :)
I still find it interesting that people are willing to watch what is often detailed animation under such crappy video quality when other delivery methods exist.

@Awataurus,
I'm letting you know that if you are a translator or dubber, your literary skills in English.... well its difficult to understand you've posted here. Hopefully you have someone proficient in English working with you on editing and quality checks for your professional duties.
Here's what I get out of your post:
"(?????)! When Funimation licenses anime, I have a lot of work to do such as translation or dubbing. The licensed (????) which really pissed me off. But they are paying money to me for dubbing and translating."
I'm not trying to belittle you - but your posts so far have been difficult to interpret. When I post or write in Japanese, I'll spend a great deal of time agonizing over how I'm going to say something. Fast and sloppy just means no one understood what I was trying to say.
(@yoshiness, heh. ごめんなさい. Sorry, that comment about translating was about Awataurus's posts)

@Awataurus
Be that as it may, the last few posts have nothing to do with the thread's topic.
I would suggest that any further comments or replies are taken to PM.
