-Percival showing it's stuff
-The New Guren is probably going to show up this episode, probably as the episode cliffhanger
-(hoping) Sunrise stops teasing us and tell us something about Anya.

Let's see, the primarily focus of this episode is the Suzaku-Lelocuh confrontation and that is what everyone's looking forward to, I think :3 . Thent here's this huuuge battle upcoming as well - let's see what the KoO and th eKoT can do :3. And I'm hopign that Kallen might escape this episode... :D

Meh, I know it's the focus (or at least one of the focus), but I'm not too excited about the Suzaku and Lelouch confrontation. It's going to end badly, this sort of thing always ends badly for Lelouch...then again Sunrise could pull a fast one and switch that up on us.

Am also hoping we get some more information concerning Anya. Why would her memories be messed with and what is her connection to Lelouch? Hopefully things carry on from the last episode in that regard.

A lot to look forward to in this one. From another confrontation with Lelouch and Suzaku to a huge battle with the Rounds and the Order. Have gotten a worse feeling as the week has gone on in regards to the Lelouch/Suzaku meeting. Just hope they get to talk about the important things. No more time to leave important things hidden.

the attack on japan starts, Lulu is already walking around in his school uniform on japanese grounds towards the Kururugi Shrine
Knight of One is leading the counter attack, at the same time Britannia is attacking them from all sides

flashback talk of Lulu's stay at the shrine with Nunally, of how they first hated one another and then became friends
Vampire of Britannia is fighting as well, is able to defeat 6 BK KMF's that try to close in on him. he shows no mercy XD

Schneizel is with Nunnally, he says that he'll save her if it turns bad..
Knight of One prepares his KMF for launch, damn ass huge thing.. like a gundam

Suzaku finally meets with Lulu ont he shrine both in school uniform
Suzaku wonders what they are friends for after all the lies and the death of Euphie
Toudou and his crew are on the submarine with Lakshata.
Oughi has a talk with Diethard, Villetta has been captured and is shown tied up on the screen.
to CC with her ring very quick

Suzaku shows his Knight badge he got from Euphie and says that Lulu geassed Euphie to do this and demands answers on her and Shirley
Lulu says its his faulth. more talk about Nunnally

Nunnally is meanwhile talking with Kallen againa nd they notice Suzaku is gone

Knight of one shows up with his flaming blade

Lelouch is kicked to the floor by Suzaku, he begs him to save Nunnally
Suzaku goes on with his I'll never forgive you for what you did to Euphie
together with some nice dramatic and sad cello music

this si where my program froze though seconds later (maybe a minute) the commercials started

Lulu was actually crying and shouts that he has betrayed him.. now they both hate another lol

Kallen is talking with Gino aboutt he student council. about her past as a Britannian.
Vampire-san is still doing as he pleases. They tend to crash a ship on the BK main island to destroy the main base
Lulu's in jail. Guilford is guarding as well. Schneizel talk to him, Schneizel believes in him in sorta way
Lulu has geassed Guilford before when Guilford was supposed to meet Orange but instead Lulu showed up
Guilford's geass activates and makes him believe Lulu is Cornellia and thus Guildord went on a rampage to break him out

Britannia is planning something sneaky..
Lulu is escaping with Guilford. he's in his own KMF again etc. XD ha ha
Schneizel asks Suzaku who he is, a Japanese, Knight of 7 etc.

the giant disturber train is doing its work in Britannian grounds XD
yeh Lulu is back, the whole Britannian main base in Tokyo is without power and thus begins their counter attack
Rolo is undercover as a Britannian private in Tokyo.

To Kanon and Suzaku, something morally backstabbing for Suzaku I guess.
Kanon has talked him into using Freya on Lulu and Suzaku in the end cosiders it as well o.o;

next episode Suzaku draws into action

Well all those speculation has just turn to 100% spoilers for me. Jesus. EP18 is going to rock. I can't wait to see how they will do it.

As EP17, very nice plot progression, plus you'd expect at least the Knight of One to know that The Order likes to do surprise pop-up attacks. The Order is like pesky spyware that doesn't want to be deleted. :heh:

Important highlights for this episode

-Kallen is still captured *sigh*

-Guilford is now Lelouch's subordinate under the geass effect.

-Lelouch is mourning the loss of his friendship all the way to the end of the episode.

-Knight of Ten is of course a badass psychopath playing with his victims lives

-Knight of One is also impressive, I thought for a second he was going to finish off Xinge

-Lelouch uses his sakuradite machine(the one he used to stop Jeremiah) to shut down everything in Tokyo including knightmares and electricity; Think Goldeneye only replace a satellite with a train

-Schneizel and Kanon now know Lelouch is Zero

-Chiba and Asahina pissing me off with their Zero bitching, Todou defends him again

-Diethard keeping Viletta hostage for Ougi to be commander

Lelouch geassed Guilford in their meeting before and "activated" it when Guilford was watching him from his KMF, something like "Guilford, it's me Corneila! Rescue me!"

Still I don't think geass through a camera would be possible. The geass works by manipulating something in the brain, that wouldn't travel through a camera.

Not exactly. Code Geass has already established itself as a hybrid mecha universe, which means it combines elements of real and super robot mechanics. Since the introduction of the seventh generation of Knightmare Frames the series has taken on more super then real elements. They are just kind of that powerful. Also helicopters are like the lowest tier of cannon fodder in mecha anime period. They are literally there for no other reason but to blow up. You could probably throw crumpled up piece of paper at a helicopter in a mecha anime and watch it crash down in a ball of flames. Knight of Ones destruction of a few is kind of a big whoop.

And Galahad is like what, the 10th Knightmare Frame so far to have a sword? maybe I don't watch enough mecha shows, but I just find it hilarious (in a bad way) that a flying robot would have to use a literal sword to attack, instead of a real weapon that would perform the same thing. What on earth posssessed these engineers to come up with a weapon that needs to be swung like a sword to deflect attacks? Why not create a shield or cannon that does the same thing?

Says.......who exactly? You really haven't seen a lot of series with mecha in them have you or played something like Star Ocean have you? Did you catch the point about the Exacalibur? On top of invoking Arthurian legend it's likely one of those weapons of intimidation you see in sci-fi series like Stargate that is used to add to the lore of it's users and frighten the enemy as much as for it's effectiveness. Gotta play up the whole Knight of One thing. It's meant to be fun, look cool and destroy things all in one. You know, the way the Japanese like it to be with their mecha weapons.

And seriously, Lancelot has been using twin swords since the very first episode so I don't know why this is coming out now. Are we going to do this with every new mecha that has an unconventional (according to what some people seem to think) weapon?

About the sword in this episode... I don't want to use "Super Robot" as an excuse for all kinds of crap, like some people like to do, but putting "real weapon" and "flying mecha" into the same sentence feels kind of... wrong.

Episode was okay, it was nice seeing Lelouch talk with Schneizel (I was sure he'd address him as brother, so that was nice also). Suzaku also finally gets a moment where events spiral completely out of his control. Although you could argue that this happened a couple of times, it didn't impact his "friendship" before.

My rating:
A few things I love about this episode:

-Lelouch got on his knees and begged, getting stumpped by his best friend while not resisting. Perfectly deserved.

-Lelouch made a comeback, geassing Guilford as insurance. They escaped just like that.

Dissappointed factors:

-Lelouch didn't explain himself to Suzaku only as fague as "it's my fault" and instantly changed to Nunnali topic.

-The lack of security for capturing Lelouch.. 3 Knightmares? They should have some ground units or more knightmares. The mountain is vast, so they could have hid a whole squad a couple of miles away to intercept a possible escape...

-Lelouch got stumped. Though he deserved it, it made him look rediculous.

-Kallen and G talking crap for the whole episode.

-How the fck is the Knight of the Ten(?) able to penetrate a whole warship with just one arm lance? And sink it.. Too overpowering. As in a physical weapon.

-Cornelia is still hung.

-The United Nations got owned.

-How the fck did the United Nations get owned? With just two Knights. They are like Suzakuseseses.

-I do not like introduction episodes. Get to the freaken point!

hell we had Gawain that was able to rotate and take out everything around him with a single shot
Kallen also had a powerfull weapon that could take out a mass of units
one ship still isn't compareable to a KMF though.. the ships are always just floating around and suck at defence everyone knows that...

Also, Lelouch coming alone was unexpected. I wonder how long before they broadcast the tape. I hope its not during the battle, because that will mess the BK up completely and render them useless.

Now that was one helluva of twist, in terms of fortune turning.

Just when Lelouche's on the verge of finally making up with Suzaku, Schneizel interferes and ruins Lelouche's already waver-thin trust of Suzaku for good.

I can imagine the hardcore Suzaku-haters here are probably rubbing their hands with glee thinking: "Though he never intended to betray Lulu this time, he totally deserved it for betraying Lulu in the first place."

To answer certain posters' frustration at why Lulu was willing to allow himself to get beaten so pathetically by Suzaku: Remember, as a sister-con, he suffers all this abuse all for Nunally. :heh:

The second twist would be Lulu actually having an escape plan just in case Suzaku does betray him.

It's interesting to realize that there are more people within the Empire that know of Zero's identity than those within his own Black Knights.

(Empire: Emperor, Schneizel, Cornelia, Kanon, Suzaku, Guilford, Guilford's knights, Viletta, and the majority of the Secret Agency sent to spy on Lulu. And prior to their demise: Euphemia, V.V. and probably the whole Geass order)

(Black Knights: C.C. , Kallen, Orange, Rollo and Sayoko. And prior to his sacrifice: Urabe. )

Though it's probably more scandalous for the Empire than it is for the Black Knights if word gets out that Zero is a Britannian Prince.


Final twist isn't exactly a twist, Lulu's Gefjun Disturber trains finally go into action and Toudou, who has been biding his time, finally gets the signal from Zero to strike Tokyo unawares.



Finally, a word on the former members of the Ashford Student Council, besides Shirley and Rivalz, nearly all of them has received ample screentime as of late. Considering this episode alone:

Lulu - obvious
Suzaku - obvious
Nina - being Schneizel's b!tch
Kallen - being flirted by Gino
Milly - stuck in the blackout while hosting news programs

Besides Shirley being killed off, the writers seemed to have neglected poor Rivalz, who was seen sulking alone in the Council room, wondering where everyone has gone.

Milly must've been quite popular for her to receive some interesting screentime as the hot news presenter on TV, despite her not being too involved in the main plot. (Not least her cosplaying as a penguin, to the bemusement of Lulu while he was babysitting an amnesiac C.C. )

Suzaku actually didn't do anything wrong this ep really. He was even willing to reconcile despite Lelouch still not telling him the truth about Euphie. Unfortunately they had to ruin that moment and have Lelouch reject all friendship and hate everyone but theres still hope that Lelouch decides not to be evil. Otherwise, screw him and may he go the route of Light Yagami.

I think part of him still wanted to believe Suzaku was his friend. Throughout the series no matter what Suzaku did he still seemed to cling to that friendship and believe in it. That's why he never wanted Suzaku to get hurt. So that blinded him.

However, to be fair this wasn't Suzaku's fault it was Schneizel's. Suzaku didn't plan on betraying Lulu and they might have even reconciled if it wasn't for Schneizel's interference. So Lulu's belief in Suzaku wasn't completely silly or unfounded afterall. But he should have been more careful anyway.

I always had the feeling that when in their fighting suits, the breasts get some sort of pushing or additional "airbags" for protection, as it looks very unnatural. Kallen's rack reminded me of two balloons, when she was strapped on that table after she got captured.
Nothing against a nice cleavage, but in Turn 16 and 17 it was like the two of her would pop out every moment...
