I was trying to watch Iketeru Futari 1 with Core media player, but the video constantly "stutters," hurting my eyes. I actually had this problem with DiGi Charet Nyo in Win media player, but didn't bother to try to fix it. Those are differant types of files (ogm and avi, respectivly), so that's not it.

Actually, that could be "it" despite what you think. Ogm is a container, not a codec. Most of the videos that use the ogm codec are actually encoded with DivX or XviD, just like avi files are. We've seen similar problems with avi files, so let's try a reasonable simple solution that tends to fix them.

Uninstall all your codecs. Trust me. All of them:
Uninstall DivX.
Uninstall XviD.
Uninstall ffdshow.
Especially uninstall any Codec packs, They are Evil!

Download and install ffdshow. You'll find it listed as [level 1] on the Media Configuration Guide.

i was away for a while... so couldn't reply earlier..

i found out also that while the file stuttered when i used windows media player, it was perfectly fine when i used the divx player. interesting isn't it ?
