Code Geass Episode 18, summary V. 1.0
Remember better summary will be made when the RAW is up.
I am only human and I can still make mistakes since my Japanese still is not perfect

1st half:

new theme for the title anouncement =O awsome
it starts where last week ended, they plan to suround the gouverment building and save Nunnally
Miss. Romeyer warns Nunnally and Gino decides to go out with Tristan and to leave Kallen behind
Kanon and the rest are contemplating on Suzaku's pride, Lloyd and Cecil are arguing with Nina on Freya, Suzaku interupts them and looks ready to come out
Rolo and two others now enter the gouverment building

Lelouch sees Lancelot going in and Suzaku challenges Lelouch, instead Jeremiah charges at Lancelot
Lancelot has Freya equiped.

Lakshata wonderds why Jeremiah is their ally and talks about Seigfried
Guilford snaps out of it but the geass gets activated again when Lelouch orders him something
Guilford talks to Suzaku and Nina starts barking about using Freya
Suzaku charges Lelouch but is captured by Jeremiah. Tristan shows up

Guilford fights against Gino and Gino calls Jeremiah Orange again but he isnt bothered

Rolo is fighting his way in, using geass and killing soldiers
Nunnally doesn't want to run away, Romeyer wants her to do this

Nagisa is nearly killed, Asahina saves her. she truely loves Toudou, those were almost her last words
Kallen is in despair cause everyone is fighting. Guilford is killing his own allies.
Suzaku is dodging out from Orange, Anya shows up and charges Shinkirou
she wonders if his shield can witstand her hadron and fires it from very short range but it looks like it can be stopped

Romeyer takes Nunnally to a special transportship.
Kallen is freed by Sayako and gives her red her KMF uniform

Power is back on in the entire city, Asahina witnesses a horrible death of another Black Knight
Anya recieves another backlash, liek when she fought CC and Zero gets caught in threads by Luciano's minions with uciano inf ront of him

end of first half
second half:

Kallen boots up the new Guren with Sayako's help, it looks awsome.
the new Guren is super fast!

Lelouch is having difficulty with Luciano, he tries to block to dril as best as he can
Schneizel etc. are not yet at the battlefield but are closing in

Tamaki is nearly killed lol
Shinkirou's shield ends and he's fully exposed now, Kallen saves him.
Lloyd is in despair XD Lakshatta is annoyed for him twinking her Guren
Luciano goes to fight against the new Guren, it can throw energy blades now lol
Luciano tries to throw a drill from close range, Kallen catches it and fries him to death XD ha ha

Suzaku shows up again, he tries to fight against Kallen. she easily bloxks his blaster
Gino fights against Kallen. Cornelia manages to get out with something from her tied up to her chest, left arm
Nina is still barking for Freya, Rolo finds the transport ship Nunnally is on

Suzaku is actually losing against the new Guren, the claw can be linked off as well
Suzaku doesn't want to use Freya but is losing.

Sayako is near Nunnally aka is on the ship and calls out to her, Nina is still barking. Suzaku is about to die by Kallen
Live geass activates, he uses Freya, it misses Kallen and goes well BOOM!
Asahina is still in the area, Rolo is going to pilot soemthing. Lelouch goes in despair as he finds out what this is
Romeyer, Asahina and Nunnally are engulved in the light
Guildord saves Lelouch. the explosion destroys the entire gouverment building

Lelouch talks to Rolo about finding Nunnally, Rolo says she died

next week it seems Lelouch is going all out against Rolo, being angry and all XD throwing his phone ont he ground

Guilford dead, Sayoko Nunnally and so on most likely too, Live GEass activated so he shot it...hmm and Lelouch is a little broken, that's Freya for you

Kallen was about to claw Lancelot and use the radiation surge, Suzaku lost a lot of LAncelot parts and only had Freya left as a weapon to use.. live geass activated and he fired it.

Lelouch isn't going to know nor care at this point that it was fired due to his geass unless Suzaku says so. he's to deep in mourn and rage for Nunnally to care about who is to blame, nor could he forsee that Suzaku's live geass would activate and that Freya would be fired. Suzaku is probably going to blame himself for this because he was saying all allong that he wouldnt use Freya. Nina I hope she gets put to death for this, her constant barking on him to use Freya was the only thing annoying this episode

Lelouch isn't going to know nor care at this point that it was fired due to his geass unless Suzaku says so. he's to deep in mourn and rage for Nunnally to care about who is to blame, nor could he forsee that Suzaku's live geass would activate and that Freya would be fired. Suzaku is probably going to blame himself for this because he was saying all allong that he wouldnt use Freya. Nina I hope she gets put to death for this, her constant barking on him to use Freya was the only thing annoying this episode

i am in total shock over this episode... at first i thought maybe kallen would die, but then that explotion happend (gosh i cried) and IF Nunnally is actually dead, then I think this series might just end with Lelouch's death too (and Rolos). Also Lelouch had no idea that somethign like this would happen when he geassed Suzaku to live, heck he didn't even know about Freya, he probably doesn't know that it was fired because of Suzaku's live geass either unless he digs further into it. Some have argued that Lelouch should have noticed that soemthign strange was going on, but he ignored the warning signs and it caused a tragedy. Suzaku however could have prevented it... He could, for example, have refused to carry Freya, but did so despite everyone's warnings and his own heistations about the whole subject...

I don't think Schneizel will arrest Nina since he knew of Freya's force and he also has one onboard his own ship. I think he will be shocked that Suzaku used it and might arrest him for it but then again it is a sign of loyalty, Suzaku in the previous epsiode was left in dillema, to use Freya would garentee his alliance to Britannia and hate for Zero by using it on Zero and to not use it would count as him still having pitty towards Lelouch and by that be confussed about his alliance and thus ending with Schneizel considering him already as a traitor. Schneizel will probably do a silly speech and will be more concerned aout Nunnally and the survivers. I'm glad that Kallen's back in action, and a spectacular entrance it was. And as for the new Guren; with a Knightmare like that, who needs an army? :heh:

I also enjoyed how she proceeded to practically rip apart the Lancelot.

Though the Freya going off was imminent, it certainly was a dramatic moment. I kind of feel sorry for Guilford. He died saving Lelouch, who he thought was Cornelia. And though it made it seem like she died, I'm uncertain of Nunnally's fate. It may very well be just as it is, but I just have this feeling her role isn't quite done yet.

Also, I really want to see Nina's face when she finds out Zero survived.

Often enough we're shown such mechs being capable of wiping out entire armies bu it self (Gundam Epyon and Wing Zero for example), but still meet it's match when it comes to facing other ace pilots and their mechs :uhoh: .

Suzaku's pretty naivë and stupid but he knows how to fight, and weighing yourself down needlessly with a weapon you won't use and that is also too dangerous to use in the current battle? That's not something he would do.

What's cheap writing about it. The obvious intention loading it wasn't for him to have the live Geass go off and destroy his own team, but to have it used on the Black Knights as a show of force and a detterence to all the rebellions going on around the world. A sort of "this is the fate that awaits you if you challenge Britannia". The fact that it went off were it did was a sheer fluke.

I don't get whats wrong with the writing there, the flow of logic makes perfect sense when you stop to think about it. I guess it's just going throw the motions. I mean really how often do we see shots taken at the writing for this series. Okuchi must be the most criticized screenwriter for any anime in history by this point and we're not even done yet. Really Geass is the only anime I've ever seen discussed where the writing has become a major talking point outside the 2ch scene.

Suzaku is a Knight of Rounds. He answers to the Emperor and the Emperor only. The original Lancelot research was funded by Schneizel, but as Suzaku is a Knight of Rounds, and all Knight of Rounds now have a seventh-generation KMF (some apparently based on Gawain's frame, like the Galahad, and others are either new or based on Lancelot's technologies) it is quite safe to assume that the upgraded Lancelot Conquista has been recquisitioned by Suzaku as his personal KMF due to his position as a Knight of Rounds, and he would have received it, by Imperial edict.

@Srb: Okay now your grasping at straws. That's pure theory that just happens to be one that supports your point of view. Think about it. Schneizel owns the bomb and owns Lancelot, Schneizel says the bomb goes on Lancelot. The bomb goes on Lancelot. Suzaku could have refused to pilot it, but Schneizel would have just found someone else. Also Suzaku would need the emperors permission to override an order by Schneizel too you realize. As I understand it the Emperor has to give him the express privilige to do something before he can use it as a reason to override one of Schneizel's orders anyway. Remember that time the Knight of One disagreed with Schneizel's policy of containment in the Chinese Federation and wanted to go to war with them, but had to go before the Emperor to ask permission to basically override him and conduct his own war there anyway. The Emperor then did his "only fools wage war" speech and suddenly the Knight of One was all in agreement and thus couldn't get his war groove on in the Chinese Federation. I think if that applies for Knight of One it applies for everyone.

As for why Suzaku would agree to have the bomb put on Lancelot. Remember the talk that he had with Nina where Nina asked him to look after it for Euphemia's sake or whatnot. Suzaku basically being the self-loathing person he is felt he had to take on the burden of carrying Freya. And when you think about it, under normal circumstances if you know you have no plans to use a weapon and don't want to see it used and felt you could keep that from happening, you'd probably want to accept responsibility for it to. Just so it doesn't go to somebody like Luciano or Bismarck or even Anya and Gino frankly. I think all of them would be likely to use it if ordered. Under normal circumstances and without the live Geass, the bomb was safest with Suzaku the idealist.

Nuclear Fission IS involved. I don't quite know how Nina butchered it to do what it does, but, by definition, it is a nuke.

It is a nuke, it uses the nuclear fission process to blast everything, but the sakuradite prevents the explosion from going more than its designated diameter.

Sigh.... epic. I haven't seen anything this epic in anime yet.

Thats what i thought too. I was little disappointed by it blast radius though, maybe since it was a pistol attachment the small size of the projectile limited the damage.

Lancelot will be made equal to Guren but I think the real haxx robots will belong to the Knight of One and the Emperor.

I think that in the end that the Shinkiro and Guren are going to merge into one robot. The Guren's head sinks into it's torso and the chest looks like it has eyes. Both robots are of Laksharta's design. Look at the torso. Looks like the head of a dragon or something.

I believe that Kallen and Lelouch will fuse their robots at one point to form the uber robot that will destroy whoever the final boss is. Lelouch's robot was damaged, btw. cough, cough.

Suzaku is a Knight of Rounds. He answers to the Emperor and the Emperor only. The original Lancelot research was funded by Schneizel, but as Suzaku is a Knight of Rounds, and all Knight of Rounds now have a seventh-generation KMF (some apparently based on Gawain's frame, like the Galahad, and others are either new or based on Lancelot's technologies) it is quite safe to assume that the upgraded Lancelot Conquista has been recquisitioned by Suzaku as his personal KMF due to his position as a Knight of Rounds, and he would have received it, by Imperial edict.

That is true, but this is where Suzaku's 'justice' moral is twisted and despite being supposedly holding power, what he holds are illusionary in his own way. Suzaku is the kind of person that mixes his perception of justice, with the power he holds, alongside with the elements of the powers he obey. By the end of it, which creed he obeys are all dependent on the situation.

Technically, when he was being derided by Kanon, he could've easily answered "Are you questioning the Emperor's decision?" as it was Charles himself that allowed Lelouch/Zero to be let free as a possible bait. The fact that he even complemented using Freia on Lelouch in the previous episode before deciding against it in this episode shows how fragile the borders of his integrity are.
