In need of some comedy/action anime :D.

Hi, I haven't been watching anime for a while so I've missed a lot, here are my favourites :D.

Zero no Tsukaima(All Seasons)
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
Full Metal Panic (All Seasons)
Dokuro-Chan (Club to Death Angel)

I like almost any kind of anime and I want to see some funny anime for the rest of summer. I've been trying but some comedy anime that I've seen, I've stopped on the first ep and never watched it again because the comedy is exaggerated a bit too much or just weren't funny, examples are:
School Rumble
Pani Pony Dash
Yakitate!! Japan
Seto no Hanayome
Ouran High School Host Club

I would like some recent anime recommendations like 2005+, based on my lists what are some good action or comedic anime :D.

For some good newer comedy, I'd definitely recommend currently airing Special A. It's funny and has some romance. World Destruction also looks promising as a action/comedy show. D.Gray-man fulfills your criteria too. As for action alone, try Code Geass and Gundam 00 if you're into mecha. Oh and be sure to check out Death Note as it's really good. At last perhaps give Ouran High School Host Club a second chance? It stands out from the other ones you mentioned, I hated School Rumble too.

Forgot to mention Itazura na Kiss. A good romance/comedy.

Kenichi has alot of comedy and action. Maybe Oh! Edo rocket would work too.
