Wow...watching the scene with Eruka and Free in full animated glory was something else. I am quite impressed that they didn't censor or change anything so us manga readers should get a kick out of seeing those two faces getting ripped clean off.
For the non manga reader, it should make them scream :heh:

Ah, Kid also had his moments with his obsessive-compulsive disorder and the almighty Death Cannon!

Well apart from the end it kind of felt like a meh episode. Black Star and Kid waste time fighting a hologram so not really much interaction in that fight. Get some aftermath with Maka and Chrona standing up to Ragnarok.

Part with Free and Eruka falling under the craziness was pretty intense. Was wondering what was going on there until they explained it. Did some damage to themselves just from being in proximity. If that thing gets free then the disaster that would come would be immense thats for sure.

Overall it was an ok episode.

Yaaay Asura in motion! XDD The face-eating scene was freakier than in the manga. And I really got into the suspense, even though I knew what was gonna happen. o.o The rest of the episode was... eh... okay I guess. I have one question though.

While a very cool episode with the whole creepiness of the illusions with Eruka and Free the beginning seemed uttely pointless and slow. 9/10

So yeah, I was shocked that they had such a distrubing scene in the episode. My skin crawls each time I watch that scene.:uhoh:

But otherwise, it was an okay episode, I just wished they had an actual fight in it though.:heh:

Wow. I have to say they really done a nice job of spooking me out near the end. It was awsome.

Well this is the first post ever for me in the Soul Eater section, but I can't help but noticed how this anime gives me the impression like it's the twisted and dark version of Mickey Mouse's world. I mean Maka has a faint resemblance to Mikckey Mouse in his tuxedo get up in a way and the animation helps convey that even more. The other thing is Maka's face design is a but different from everyone elses.

Indeed, i was in complete awe at the last scene. The build up which started as they both entered the room hit me like a brick --- it worked wonders because i was watching this episode with the light off. :p

Really glad they didn't edit out the pretty crazy stuff, really glad.

As for the fight --- i found it really strange that Kid's bullet shots were just passing right through him, so obvious the fact that he wasn't the real deal came to me before it was made clear. I lol'd so much at Kid's comments to do with his surroundings --- more so because i was waiting for it to happen.

So going by the preview, it looks like it'll all be about Stein Vs Medusa --- which i have been waiting for. Also a flashback scene to what looks like Stein and Maka's Father first meeting. That should be pretty damn adorable.

As for the ep, I'm soooo glad they kept in one of my favourite parts.. bahahah. (Ragnarok going bizarre mode and pulling up Chrona's dress) It was so very entertaining. XDDD

The latter pat of the episode with Free and Eruka was really good. Though with the comments that were here so far I was expecting it to be more gory or something, lol. :heh: Rather creepy nonetheless; although the second it ended I wanted to throw something at the screen. HOW DARE YOU WORK ME UP LIKE THAT THEN JUST ENDDDD. XD;;

Anyway, can't wait for next week's. It just keeps getting better and better. *thumbsup*

Yeah Kid's shots seeming to pass through or just have no impact really made it clear something was wrong. Though kind of took the intensity out of it since obvious that no damage was being done. But not like they could have them hit and clearly do something and then come back a few moments later and show that it was a fake.

At least the Stein vs Medusa fight continuing looks really promising. At least we know she is really there :heh:.

Personally the scenes we did see are a lot more scaring so to say then just seeing a high amount of blood. I mean seeing two faces being completely ribbed off (especially Eruka's scene), even now i can't believe they got away with showing this on TV. It's the kind of material i'm sure manga readers thought we'd be seeing on the late night showing (if there was anything extra).

Episode 22

-Kid vs Free was awesome!:cool: I liked it a lot! Death cannon looked amazing in this episode!:cool:

-Kid figuring out that Free was an illusion was great, and it did help me understand how he figured it out better than in the manga.

-Eruka and Free’s illusions, the ones caused by the first kishin, were really creepy and incredible !!

I really enjoyed watching this episode. :)
