Oh...
serenade beta lol....
What is it?
I've had my suspicions for weeks... but isn't the 10 score that is voted before I vote one of those "pre-votes" or whatever they call votes that are voted before the anime air?

>_> Even I'll admit this episode isn't very enjoyable
- The first half was pretty much all fan service. It was okay... Just more of the same. Felt more like a filler than anything else
- The encounter with that elf was over quickly, and they rescued Tabitha just like that? It was all over too fast. The reading scenes (and the whole rescue plot) seem pretty pointless.
This week is Tabitha!

Oh its nothing just waiting for your summary of the episode lol
everything happened in one episode? :( how sad...maybe the next epi will be the fight with that monster looking thing? and last will be a mad sex fanservice party lol

Fu... Fuza... FUZAKERUNA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Damn you, JC Staff! You could have spread the development into two episodes or three and finished this arc decently! But you plan to go anime-original, use Jormungant, and rushed this arc to pieces! Are you an idiot?! Gwaaaahhhh!!!!
......*looks out the window*
Good day, isn't it... Hah...
This is how the episode is made up:
16 minutes: Fanservice, dancing, tricking the enemy soldiers by placing a sleeping potion in the alcohol and having them drink it, and defeating a lolicon.
Rest: All of a sudden, we go into serious mode, the elf appears, elf is defeated in minutes thanks to Louise using Dispel on Derflinger, and Tabitha is rescued. ALL-LIKE-THAT.
There is clearly something wrong with the time used, isn't there?!
Oh, and the episode has Saito losing control of himself and trying to assault Louise again.
To be honest, I was perfectly fine with the fanservice part. The art was good and erotic and the comedy was funny... ONLY because I was expecting the arc to continue in the next episode. But, no, in the end, the fanservice only ended up shortening the amount of time for the serious stuff!
Thanks to that, the serious scenes were hardly impressive or emotionally moving...
I keep hearing "E Bal D" whenever Tabitha says Ivaldi...
And for people curious about Colbert...
He gets immediately released thanks to his students, and Agnes pretty much goes "I still want to kill you even now, but I'm letting you go because the students will hate me and the chain of hatred needs to be cut" and everything is solved. Yay.
Preview: ................I have a real bad feelings about this... Jormungant, Joseph, Tabitha getting close to Saito, uwah...

Sorry but i gave it a 8/10... im not as harsh on the story vs novel thing but it was kinda pointless at parts... im guessing Saito tackled Louise cuz she said something to provoke him but i really didnt enjoy that part... her dancing was hilarious!!! and the kiss almost getting caught thing was funny... The potion falling out of her top was funny, the dude having his flat chest fetish was funny and saito holding louise was cute... elf vs saito was short... they should have stretched it out till the end and concluded it next episode but oh well...
On to another note LOUISE was SO FUCKING CUTE it wasnt even funny... there almost kissing scenes is getting annoying.. this is like the 2nd or 3rd one this season... i see another next episode and a real kiss on the last... im telling u guys that the last episode is going to have a intimate scene between them... saito wants to tap dat ass lol....
even though im not a big fan in this type of anime i been having a hell lot of fun watching Alto and Louise interaction with each other. It seem to me thier contract as familiar and Master is same as marriage preaty much.... they are like a young married couple ..

Could they made it any worse?
Well considering directors mindset "screw-everything-up-we-need-boobs" it probably could have been worse. But not much. It was so rushed that it isn't even funny. It is not sad either. Just pathetically empty and pointless.

2008-09-15, 08:04
well im guessing the Jormungant thing will be the new focus? was this a good fight in the novel?
Darknemo2000
2008-09-15, 10:25
Well the 7th volume end fight was more epic, but it wasn't bad. But again, the novel and anime standards are different.
Anime do not care about the scene being epic or touching - if it doenst ahve boobs/fanservice then it is either rushed or skipped all together.
longshot
2008-09-15, 21:45
eversince they introduced irukuku/syphid in its all been about boobs and saito's failing relationship with louise, otherwise the episode felt like "meh"

u know regardless of how stupid things are going on ATM i still wanted to watch episode 13..it seems like it was cancelled altogether :( maybe that rumor of the special airing in december will be it...What a shame...
episode 13 is the episode which is going to be released along with the dvds in december. hence it won't be aired on television

Yeah they did the same with Kimikiss... Though if they will do something similar liek Kimikiss then you can forget 13 episode being ebout Louise and Saito, but it will be about side characters. Main ones might still pop in from time to time but it won't be a story based chapter...
I would guess it may be a Tabitha special episode (maybe taking something from Tabitha side story volumes taht were released) and will center on Tabitha and Sylphid mostly. It;s just my guess....
But seems like JC Staff likes to do it such way.

Lol, RAPE!
Sorry, I just had to say it. Good episode. Lots of funny moments, but still important story elements.
I didn't quite get the story - quote unquote - but I did enjoy the fan-service galore. So anyone keeping count on how many times our dear hero has been kicked in the crotch already? I'm hypothesizing that the count is a two-digit number.
7 out of 10 it is.
ApostleOfGod
2008-09-16, 18:06
What I'm even more surprised about the count is that everytime they manage to show a low blow from Louise to Saito, it's a New way. Whether it be Kneeing, kneeing from the bed, kicking from the back, kneeing from the back.. Just imagine all the different ways those boys felt the pain... Damn.. I might lose the will to live after all that..

Actually knowing this anime, I bet you its just Louise and her weird thoughts.
but I hate Saito because he can make Tabitha blush, and he desn't have to try, he already got hugged by her naked, and can make her blush and cry, this enough makes me hate him out of jealousy for eternity. :'(

Nice to see the party has finally reached their destination and rescues Tabitha. Interesting to watch Louise cast dispel on Saitos sword i actually enjoyed that part. But once again she used up too much energy. Still disappointed with this season but the dancing bit made me laugh as Louise looked she was a seizer instead of dancing that might actually make a pretty good avatar.

What can I say? :heh:
Why have a story when you can have BOOBs instead. Or rather the lack of in Louise case but still, we get some hentai yaro trying to jump her.
It's such a shame that the Elf guy gave up so easily after boosting around such power. Like all villains he was dumb enough to let Louise finish her spell.
Seems like it is going to be another ZnT tastic ending

No, its because I'm not stupid enough to compare one media to another and get butt-hurt if there's any differences.

But you are stupid enough to close your eyes against it's faults as I see.

I haven't really seen any faults in the show. Its a comedy and I treat it as a comedy. As it is, the only faults everyone ever lists is the fanservice and how its different from the novels.
Darknemo2000
2008-09-21, 16:28
But the plot things like "Louise cannot use magic, because she suddenly cannot use magic though she just did perfectly throughout the whole season" are somewhat weird even if you considered it to be a rather dumb comedy with low requirements for the script.
You dont have to be a novel reader to see its faults, even if you think about it as a pure ecchi comedy only... Pulling such plot devices is very cheap and not really a worthy of a good anime.

1, we're not allowed to talk about future events in a single episode thread, last I checked, and 2, I really can't compare that as I haven't seen the episode and won't be seeing it until sometime tomorrow.
I haven't read all of the novel translations so far, so I can't call what is a plot hole and what isn't. I just don't let myself get upset over every minor detail. I watch a tv show to be entertained, not to pick it apart and bitch about it. Frankly, I'm getting sick and tired of people doing that, I can't even post what I think about episodes now because every time I do, one of you novel-readers gets upset and downrates me for liking a show. Which is pretty freakin' stupid and immature.
Darknemo2000
2008-09-21, 17:59
I think you constantly complaining about that is just as equally as stupid and immature.
And as I said it doesn't not matter if you read novels or not, some things look weird even without any knowledge of novels, that was my point long time ago but you always seem to ignore it and say that it is only based on the fact that anime does not match novels, because you want to put a bilnd eye regarding anime faults that steam from it itself rather than it being compared to novels.
Why do you think first season had much less complaints as this? Because it matched novels? Nope, there were quite a few differences, but it just that anime made a pretty reasonable storry even if it was not following novels that closely.
Novels are just used as mean to compare between the possibilities but not as a mean to criticize something for not matching, the crticism comes from the anime itself rather than from novel/anime comparison, it is just taht novel is used as an example to point it out.
But of course you do not want to admit it and try to simplify that its only because anime does not match novels. As again it is easier to argue when you make your opponent look like just picky "ZOMG! This part do not match novels! Saito should have said two words instead of one!!!!" type of idiot...
Rising Dragon
2008-09-21, 18:29
My complaints started when people started getting on my case for liking the anime. It gets pretty damn annoying when I'm getting ostracized from a part of the forum simply because I have a differing opinion from someone else.
I've never found something to be "weird" in the anime. As for me knowing why season 1 had so few complaints? Well, actually, I don't know. I wasn't around this forum for seasons 1 and 2, I discovered and began watching ZnT about halfway through the second season of Code Geass. And even without the novels to act as a little guideline for me, I didn't find anything weird and out of place in the anime. After all, I'm not here to complain about minor details in an anime, I watch it so I can be entertained and that's exactly what ZnT did for me: it entertained me.
And really, if you're trying to not criticize the anime using the novels, you shouldn't say things like "it makes the anime look inferior to the novel," like you did in the episode 12 thread. That doesn't exactly separate the criticism from the novel.
And now, I'm dropping this argument. There's no point in continuing it, and the rest of the forum-goers here are going to blam me for it again, like the last time I said something positive about the episodes.
i don't think there is any thing wrong with the anime, neither does anything look weird.
Darknemo2000
2008-09-22, 03:41
Can't argue with your own personal view. Thats up to you to decide what you like or not, however no one really criticised your taste in anime, but rather anime itself. If you think that anime is you, then you have all the right to be angry, but otherwise it is just expressing ones dissatisfaction or satisfaction about the anime. Yep it may be annoying hearing how it sucks, but for others it may be just as much annoying hearing how great it is.
It was hard for me to take Kirche seriously during her conversation with Louise, while the camera panned a full shot of her body dressed with that exotic dancer costume.
The animators enhanced and accentuated a lot the ecchiness aura of the girls dressed in those dancer costume, and moreso, Louise's loli body being coveted so lustfully by that lewd Baron.:uhoh:
Anyways, this episode had a decent fighting sequence between the former Tristain knights against Bidalshal.
The episode received a high score from me due to the following points:
1. Kirche grew-up almost entirely from her childish, bully tendencies and start to treat Louise with companionship and respect.
One of the main reasons why I will continue to dislike season 2 was with all the wasted time spent on Agnes's story for revenge, they never properly went to describe how other characters like Kirche, for example, found out about Louise being the Void user mage.
2. It's a nostalgic but welcomed addition for Louise to modestly addressed herself as the Zero Louise; didn't heard that nickname since season one.
3. Agnes hatred against colbert is finally put to rest, as the gruff swordswoman realized with sincerity that the only way to move forwards is to break up the chain of hatred; help is soon underway once Colbert gets Henrietta's pardon.
4. It's interesting how the humans and elves races see and treat each other. As Beatrice pointed out to Tiffania that elves believed in the Devil's descent, Bidalshal referred to Louise and co. as devil's descendant. The issue here is that both hatred refuse to treat and know each other, opting for fear and hatred instead.
5. I felt empathetic for Tabitha's loneliness and sense of isolation realizing her destiny would have ended in tragedy. Fortunately, Saito and co. fulfilled the fairy tale role of the hero who rescued the captive one, and thus Tabitha and her mother are now saved.
6. The last shot of the Jormungant, as Joseph is prepared to unleash the beast on a personal whim, is such a good cliffhanger.
