There's actually a Ninja Scroll series as well, though I personally think it's horrible.

I haven't watched Basilisk yet, but I do know what you mean by Naruto..

Have you watched Nabari no Ou? Its not the same as Naruto. I rarely watch ninja anime, so I can't come up with more suggestions.
