Is it me or does John Entwistle (Bass player for The Who) Remind you alot like Mio & her kind of style. Possible Influence? He Also uses a Fender "Frankenstein" Precision Bass one of his Notable instruments not in this video, but in other songs/videos he does. Like Mio Hes cool and calm, and at the end of this video he kinda protects his bass as the others destroys there instruments his appearance also resembles Mio with his Dark hair and blue grayish eyes!

Ritsu's biggest inspiration and favorite drummer is the erratic drummer from the classic rock band The Who, Keith Moon. While Moon was much more on the lunatic realm of the spectrum, it is clear that Ritsu takes a lot of cues from her idol, just short of utterly destroying her drum kit on stage.
Ritsu shows admiration for Keith Moon who is the drummer of the band The Who. Both there styles are very VERY similar both in performance & personality (This video covers most of it, for example both dont like practicing & have wild drum styles. ONLY KEITH CAN PLAY DRUMS FOR THE WHO, and ONLY RITSU CAN PLAY DRUMS FOR HTT )

The girls are pretty much all taken, thouigh.
- Mio has Ritsu (and vice-versa). We've seen that Mio doesn't like the idea of Ritsu dating a guy
- Yui has Ui, Azusa (and Gitah)
- Mugi is most likely not interested in boys altogether
- Ui has Yui. I think their bond is too strong for any boy to break.
So the only ones who would be eligible to get a BF would be either Nodoka or Jun, as I don't think Yui would let any boy get too close to Azusa, especially if he has love on his mind.

As for BF, I think the girls are quite fine with them. From the series, we saw jokes about boyfriend many times (hitting Ritsu, Mio, Azusa, Mugi, and Sawako), and their reaction was something like "kyaaa, she has a BF! XD"
As far as I remember, it's only Mio who showed signs of jealousy, but of course this is just in a friendly term since Ritsu is her best friend :)

When it came to official transcriptions of their music, the Beatles could provide input if necessary, but the transcribing was left to others (e.g. Question: Which of the vocal melodies in "Baby's in Black" is the lead? Answer from Paul: Both). When classical/professional musicians were employed during recording sessions, the Beatles would often sing the melodies and George Martin would transcribe them into sheet music.
For their part, the Beatles liked not knowing how to read sheet music. George Harrison once remarked that he thought if he learned too much of music theory it would ruin the songwriting process in terms of having an innovative ability. Would John have written the strange time signatures of "Good Morning Good Morning" or Paul the interesting modalities of "For No One" as instinctively having the full knowledge of music theory at their fingertips? Perhaps not.

Yoko didn't win due to biasness. She is engaged.....so pure otaku rage voted her down.
As for Azunyan, Kirino damaged her credibility. Even Kuroneko has a better character base than her.

She's engaged? Since when? I know there was a buzz about her wearing a ring some time ago, but aside from aside from everyone's favorite anime tabloid reporting about this, I don't recall ever seeing confirmation of an actual engagement or anything like that.
And how are votes for best seiyuu determined in the first place? Is it just a group of otaku voting for it and the total amount of votes = winner, or is it like the American Academy Awards, where a bunch of big guys who (claim to) know the industry vote for what they think qualify as best movie, etc.? Or maybe something in between?

I don't think Ayana Taketatsu was all that great with her performance of Azusa in the first place. She definitely fit the role, but there's a difference between playing a character and being a character, which I assume had its influence on the award selection. I think she was far better at playing Kirino than Azusa, considering that was different than what she's done before.

as much as i like hikasa,i don't think she'd played a role where i could really say she's impressive, same with ayana.Maybe they're still to do challenging roles that may show their versatility.

I think Hikasa did a great job and I liked her (same goes for Taketatsu, whose singing voice I especially like), but Toyosaki and especially Satou were phenomenal this time around.

I would think that she is the type for tsundere, loli characters. But such characters are so out-of-mill thanks to Kugi, so I don't think she is getting as much attention as Kanatan.
But she is still your Princess of Tsundere. With loli and catgirl thrown in. :heh:

In theory, yes. Guess we'll have to wait and see how the manga handles this in the long run. It's much too early to start talking about an anime adaption, though. I wouldn't expect one before at least two years from now, realistically speaking.

I can't put to words how happy I am for the manga continuation. Hell, I'm already thinking ahead to the inevitable anime adaptation the new manga will get. Is it too much to hope they use Tsubasa wo Kudasai for the OP? :D

The most pressing concern, first and foremost, if whether they get a fourth member to stop the club from being shut down (again!!) :heh:
It would be intersting to see whether Azunyan inherits the mantle of the loving big sister that Yui-chan passed down :), or whether she lets Ui take that role. :heh:
Either way, being the "veteran" of the trio, it pretty much goes without saying that she has inherited Ritsu's mantle of Club President.

Well, yeah. Considering it's not even a K-On! original song or anything. Also, shouldn't we be hoping for new songs?

i don't actually anticipate OPs as much as i do with EDs since the latter ones tend to be the epitome of awesome! XD
ANyway, it may seem the two releases will
end up combining as one in each tankoubon. so it might be this way: chap 1 vol. 1 is the college 1st chap, chap 2 vol. 1 is HS 1st chap..they alternate..
w/ this, it might tell that there'd only be one TVA- it would depend how the staff compile the source material to fit in 1 anime..

I was thinking the same thing, actually. As far as we know, the manga in both magazines is just titled "K-On!" (at least, we haven't been given any other titles for them yet). If that turns out to indeed be the case, then it is reasonable to assume chapters from both storyline will be compiled into a "K-On! Volume 5" tankoubon.

Aye, there's nothing wrong with an "all hands" check but people should also realize that almost everyone on these little "my favorite anime/manga people lists" also has family, friends, coworkers, and more who may have been impacted, hurt, or killed in this event.
So even if Actress XYZ wasn't physically hurt, it doesn't mean they're "okay".

Though it's hard to truly connect with people you don't know personally, I still wouldn't want to be in the shoes of those who survived, but are now homeless or even 'merely' injured. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of them would consider killing themselves right there and then.
Those who have lost someone they love, or even a close friend, are probably even worse off. Given time (and maybe a bit of luck), you can overcome many of the material problems, but you can never replace someone you held dear to for so long (be it days, months or years). Memories of them will haunt you till the day you die.
I guess I should call myself fortunate to not live in an earthquake zone, or even a volcanic region. The only thing I should be worried about is rising sea water, as 2/3 of my country is below sea level, especially where I live (coastal village; the sea is within walking distance).
I wouldn't wish a fate like this to my worst enemy.

I still can't sleep. When I'm watching news on TV, time just passes by in the blink of an eye.
I want to know how bad the situation is in Japan now and how people who live in the hardest hit areas are coping. I thought about what I could be able to do in this earthquake situation, but there's really not much I can do. I sincerely think I'd like to have the power to be more and more helpful.

hmmm, ok, a bit off the topic there, but still K-On though.
when do their school year start? i remember on the ep 1 of s2, there were cherry blossoms, so it must start at spring, right? and how about summer class. last time i checked, summer follows spring. so i don't get how that really work. (i'm not japanese, so i don't know the total timeline of their seasons, but i'm basing that on what other countries in the northern hemisphere are experiencing.).
and some stuff that i don't kinda like about the anime that i have noticed just now. they have the equipment, the room, the time, but they, for the most part, don't spend them as wisely as they should, like having practices and whatnot. it's just that, my friends and i am really wishing we could have those stuff, we have to rent a studio for our practice, and we don't have time either. (oh, i'm just stressed out these days maybe, but i do have a point do i?). but they (the K-on girls) do practice sometimes, it's just that, if we were in their position, we would be jamming our hearts content. but having tea and breaks are good too.

The Japanese school year goes from April to March. They have a small summer break in August I believe.

ok, you have a point there. i guess it's not that they don't practice a lot, it's just that they were rarely seen practicing in the anime. didn't think of that. (though there are some incidents where Azusa claims they don't practice enough, and used that argument in order to train Ritsu when she faces the student council in making a request for an aircon. they didn't gave a straight answer as to why, but they promised they would practice. that's good). guess i'm a little jealous of them, that's all. ( i guessed i sorta answered my own question too).

Ithekro answered your question -- in Japan, the school year starts with the spring in April. That's why EVERY anime you've ever seen set in a school starts out in episode 1 with sakura (cherry blossom) petals blowing off the sakura trees. April is the month of Hanami (cherry blossom viewing time).
Students go to class year-round. There are small breaks (e.g. in the summer) - but usually students are given a pack of homework to do so they won't lose their momentum. That's why every summer break episode in any anime usually has one student who forgot to do theirs because they had too much fun.
There are school festivals to mark each season and a break in winter. Graduation happens in April, a week or two before the next academic year starts.

K-ON! critics are quick to throw in the "They don't practice" argument, but, they don't consider it's a 6 day school week x 2-3 hrs a day and most of the club activities shown are primers for the episodes
The only one not getting enough practice is, probably, Ritsu because it'd be awkward to carry your drum set home every night

Clearly, it's about the manga continuation, but I'd love to hear exactly what's being said about it and Google Translate is not much help...There really isn't anything new. They're just announcing that the manga will be resuming in the two magazines in the weeks ahead, and thanking all the fans for the inundation of supportive mail they received from a wide variety of fans after the original manga ended (they point out that they received mail from everyone from gradeschool children to working adults and everything in between). The implication is that it was thanks to all that support that the manga-ka decided to continue the franchise (though, and this is my editorializing, I'm sure the fact that it's a financial juggernaut now didn't hurt...) So just basically "thanks for all your support and please keep supporting us going forward" sort of thing.

I agree with you but I think it should end well before they finish off univeristy. To be honest, it would get pretty boring after a while seeing them do the same cute things over and over. Besides it's only interesting to watch them as they grow up. Once they're fully grown up, it won't have the same effect it had before.

Funny that, for although Lacus always takes the lead in the monthly Top 10 lists (until HTT came along), it was actually Cagalli-chan who was voted the most popular female character of the last 10 years (2001 to 2011) in last year's Newtype.
I got a feeling if the momentum is kept strong enough, Yui-chan and Co will also share that honor in 2021!! :)

On 29th of April the first batch of special movie tickets(i.e. can be used in theatres nationwide) goes on sale.
The tickets with the picture of the girls included is the limited edition tickets, if you manage to buy those they include K-On! clearfiles. Of course these are first come first serve.

Sweet, I dig the Sunburst. I can tell a huge difference between a Gibson and a Epi. Since I own a Gibson 1960 Les Paul Heritage Cherry Sunburst, but epi's are a good start! All though through experience with Epiphone Les Paul's, they still have that fret-buzz on the low E string :(

well, i just watched some of the first episodes of season 1 (admittedly for the first time) just recently (thanks to cable), and yeah, the animation seems different from season 2, as if it has evolved over the seasons. and i noticed something/s weird.
1. episode 5 season1(i think), Sawako trained Yui how to sing and play the guitar at the same time. on the subbed version that i've watched, it said that "Sawako's been training Yui in her place". hmmmm, but how about on episode 26 (if i remember correctly, i have a really bad memory), Yui imagined Sawako's place as a dark and "metal-infused-eardrum-piercing place". how could she guess what Sawako's place looks like, if she have already been there in the first place? or is it just a bad case of bad translation?)
2. not really that important of a question, but noticed in the same episode (ep 5), Mugi was dazing off to la la land quite frequently, i mean a lot (i don't know what she's thinking, and i don't wanna guess either) which she hardly does in season2. well, is that "normal" Mugi? well, i don't really know Mugi's personality that much (the best i know is that she's rich, has thick eyebrows that turn upside down, plays the keyboard, and easily gets amused by stuff, oh and some other stuff that i am too lazy to mention).

1. Don't remember much. But that might be a bad translation. In S2, the girls were actually never been to Sawako's apartment (They even search for the address). Yui's training session might take place somewhere. For example, the other music room, maybe? (The large one where Mio's Tea party was held in ep. 7 of S2).
2. Yup, that's normal her. She's the cheery and "always smiling" type after all :D It's normal if you feel her to be quite different compared to S2. It seems that the personality of the girls were changed quite a bit. (For example, we never see Mio's Moe Moe Kyun and also Mugi's "Vision" in S2).

Options:
A) There is at least one other music room on the campus (as others said, it's the one where the Future Klokateers Association Mio Stalker Fan Club got 'Pure Pure Heart' performed for them,) and it's likely that's where Sawako took Yui to train. It'd have to be pretty far away from the club room, though, since (apparently) Japanese schools are well-known for their thin, cheap, walls.
B) Season One Yui has the attention-span and memory recollection ability of an ADHD Alzheimer's patient. It could be that she (somehow) completely forgot where Sawako's place was, or that she'd ever been there.
C) Yui is a bit of an evil genius who occasionally uses the others' obliviousness of this fact for her personal amusement. Making outlandish speculations on the nature of Sawako's place for the lulz while denying having ever been there would be completely in-character for her.

Season One is, more or less, a completely straight adaptation of the original 4-koma. Only they really watered down the fanservicey bits. The directing staff had much more leeway in Season Two, so the girls get a different, more nuanced, characterization than they did in the first season (with less emphasis on gags.) Mugi's "spacing out" in S1 is something of a gag (which only makes sense if you knew why she's getting the dreamy, spaced-out look,) which is why you don't see it so much in S2.

Not as much "evolved" as it took a big leap forward in quality between seasons 1 and 2. My guess would be they upped the budget after the huge success of the first season.

The official Bandai subs say "She's been getting intensive lessons at Sawako-sensei's..." so it doesn't seem to be a case of bad fansub translation. As for why Yui doesn't appear to remember Sawako's place later on; don't know. Maybe she moved.

Mugi enjoys the sight of two other people (some might say "two girls", but since boys don't exist on K-On we will never know if it's actually exclusive to females) having physical contact with each other. If you pay close attention; you'll notice that every time she "spaces out" it's because she just witnessed someone touching someone else in some way.
Mio (mistakingly) jumps to the conclusion that Mugi has a crush on Sawako, because she didn't notice those times when Mugi spaced out while looking at her and Yui as well, or anyone, really. Unfortunately, as this was all pretty subtle in the anime (much more clear in the manga) a lot of viewers failed to realize that Mio was actually wrong and believe to this day that Mugi has a crush on Sawako that KyoAni just forgot about. Sigh...
The animation and art quality increased during the second season slightly because now they had a budget, a known success story, and the production company wasn't animating five other things at the same time (KyoAni was really busy in 2009).
MugiVision is one of those few things I wanted to see more often. While it was classed as fanservice I suppose and mostly dumped, we get a little of it from time to time...plus with Mugi's "date" with Ritsu we get that Mugi wanted in on the "skinship".
The Anthology series based on K-On takes MugiVision to another level...where she almost always has a video camera handy to take pictures of anything remotely like a girl on girl situation. Usually while having a nosebleed.

Of course, the Anthology series has a history of exaggerating certain character elements to the point where a character is solely defined by a single quirk - such as the one you mention. Can't say I care for that, but then again, the Anthology series is pretty much just glorified fan fiction anyways.

YUi's been training either in a seperate music room at school or at Sawako's place. but if the latter would be justified in terms of episode 26, it would seem that Yui may be lying, or must have forgotten, or Sawako probably moved. (hmmm, pretty broad description there, but at least it's not bad subs that is to blame).
2. well, i've figured that much. her actions are pretty much "Mugi-ish" (i could say something else besides this, but i have no idea what), even on season 2. but that kind of personality (along with the others from the other girls) is what makes the whole series such a successful comedy, IMO. (but still, i wonder what she's thinking, while in daze. hmmmm. hehehe).

She has perfect pitch (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perfect_pitch). There are more examples of that in later episodes (like Yui being able to tell that her guitar is out of tune and by how much without needing a tuner)

Not necessarily. Suppose that they're being interviewed for some sort of documentary after they've 'broken through' and have become very popular in Japan. They play that video and the girls think back to the first time they played that song. They then switch between the video and the actual concert footage made back then.
You could also look at it the other way around: we hear the song for the first time, and they then show what a future music video for it would look like, after HTT has become more famous (maybe even after playing at the Budokan for the first time).

Because Yui is either an idiot-savant, or an evil genius (or brilliant but so completely and utterly lazy, if you find the term 'evil genius' to be too strong.) We know she has perfect pitch (to the point that she's absolutely mystified by Azusa's guitar tuner.) We also know what she's capable of, if motivated enough to get off her butt and do some actual work. Finally, both Hirasawa sisters seem to have the "Learn Skills Instantly" skill (when Yui gets sick, Ui learns to play the guitar in a matter of days, and does it so well that Yui's bandmates only suspect that something is amiss because Ui is such a team player that the band's musical aptitude actually goes up with her playing.)

Pretty much like what GMT and Lord of Fire said :) if you're referring to her playing Maddy Candy at Mugi's villa, then it's mostly because of her perfect pitch ability. Her play wasn't perfect, hence why she felt something missing, and then Mio taught her about the choking technique.
As for the learning ability, In Yui's case, however, are gained with a great compensation too. Once she focused on one thing, she forgot the others :D
She's a genius, but also a hardworker. She keeps practicing guitar everyday (she also once intended to study drums for Ritsu in s2). Her guitar ability is at its peak when she is at a performance, surpassing Azusa (temporarily), her academic abilities could also surpass Mio at times :)

I also got the feeling it was *A* future - not fixed in concrete. We know how keen the industry is on 'parallel reality reboot alternative" nonsense that lets them pretty much do anything they want at any time :)
That would, of course, fit in with the "during college" hypothesis you propose and explain the absence of Azunyan in the first videos.

Interesting! That would make sense for the ED music videos, because really, they do seem like 'mature versions' of themselves 'Yui's lack of hair pin'. I wouldn't say the OPs have anything to do with the future. The only thing that would make sense would be the 'Utauyo!! MIRACLE' OP. Since it kind of looks like a homemade video.

ahh I see, but really the one thing that is unclear to me is; IF those OPs are filmed by themselves at the 'present' time. Wouldn't we at least hear a mention of those songs, maybe a hint? Wouldn't they have included this song on there cassette recordings?

Don't go thinking too hard about this, now. :D The OPs and EDs are not canon, that is; they don't "exist" within the story proper. Think of them more as "what if" type scenarios, not meant to be taken literally. FWIW, I believe what the director said about the EDs was that they are "wild ideas" of what HTT's professional debut might be like.

That depends on the timeline of the movie, IMO.
If the story takes place before their HTT cassette recording session (s2 ep. 23?) then it would be weird if they perform a "new" song or two that isn't included in the album. Even Tenshi ni Fureta yo! wasn't in the cassette album since they made it after the recording (and Azusa didn't perform with them).
So if there would be a performance, yes, it would be most likely the songs that were never performed before such as Fuyu no Hi, Honey sweet tea time, etc.
But that would be another story if the story setting takes place after their graduation and before their college years. (Which we hoped for :D )
I believe new songs would appear too (not a performed one) some little songs like Amefuri or Usagi to Kame. And of course there's a possibility of new OP and ED for the movie as well.

I'm sure there will be one new song that will come out of the movie that they will put onto a CD release, because the purpose of anime is to move merchandise and you can't move merchandise you don't have.

A colleague from work visited my house with his five year old daughter, and he wanted me to show him an anime series that would be OK for her to see. Most of my series are not really for small children, and the first BD disc of K-ON was pretty much all I had on hand that fit the bill.
The first episode in English dub later, and now said child wants her dad to get hold of the DVD for her next week...
I feel horrible now :P

well, i guess it's me again with another question about misc. k-on.
i've started to rewatch s2 on tv after the end of s1 airings. well, something really bugs me about a thing i just found out. s2 ep 7: tea party. in the episode, another k-on character was introduced. the name was Megumi Sokabe. well, she was supposed to be a senoir student at a time when the girls were a freshmen, right? because azusa doesn't know about her. but why does she wear a green ribbon? if she were a senoir when Yui and the others were still freshmen, then logically, she should be wearing a red ribbon, the one that the freshmen next school year will be wearing (like Azusa).
i don't quite understand. what does the manga say? when did she graduate? when you & gang were in freshmen going 2nd year? or 2nd year going to senior? (i don't know why i ask about it too).

Hey, at least your K-On! choice was a very shrewd one. I can't think of anything in K-On! that anybody would find objectionable for even a young girl.
If I myself had to pick a modern anime to show to a young girl, it would be either K-On! or the most innocent magical girl anime I could find, lol.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm showing my kids K-ON! Trust me this is better then some kid shows they show these days... I miss 90's cartoons/anime :heh:
I think the explanation for Megumi is that when the first season was being produced, they didn't know if there was going to be any more episodes. So they threw in Megumi as a minor easter egg, without thinking that it took place during Azusa's first year.
And then when the second season was greenlighted, they basically went with "Err, let's simply ignore that part and just adapt the manga chapter as it was written".
By the way, her first anime cameo appearance is in the sixth episode, which does fit with the manga storyline, since it's during their first year.

I'm guessing the flash backs took place at the end of her second year or maybe the start of Megumi Sokabe Senior year. Before the Light Music Club recruited Azusa (explaing why Azusa is not present during there private concert too Megumi). It could also explain why Megumi would of stepped down from President of the Student Council since she is graduating soon.
I did not know they changed her ribbon back to green for the BD version.

I have no idea why. K-On! is a beautiful series for a young girl. It shows young women working hard as a team to accomplish what they want despite their personal flaws. And yes, its funny.

- I get dissed a lot about my love for anime, and I'm reluctant to share it with others if it's going to get them ridiculed later on.
- It's no secret among my social circle that I really don't like kids. One of my friends who was present at my party caught me grinning widely while watching K-ON. He thinks that its paradoxical that I enjoy watching young girls in anime, yet despise kids in reality. My position is more like this. Anime is cute. Real flesh and blood children are not cute. Therefore, no paradox or contradiction. I hope that nobody now goes shoving kids in my face thinking that I'm merely repressed.
- K-ON feels a bit like a guilty pleasure, since there are many otakus who do not like what they call 'moeblobs'.

This may be a case of "it depends on the neighborhood you live in". In the US, K-On! has been received as a very positive series.

I love K-ON! I'm also married with two sons, have a degree in electrical engineering, have a social life, go to sci-fi and anime conventions, mow the yard, and volunteer in the local schools. In no sense could I be construed as an "otaku" in the pejorative negative meaning. Certainly an "american nerd/geek".... but I somehow doubt I look the part.

Really? It's good to know that; my sister recently had the opportunity to meet some japanese girls and all of them knew about K-ON! and liked it (while on the other hand most of them said they didn't watch anime on a regular basis), so I think it's pretty clear that this isn't such a bad show to let a kid watch. Besides other than that one yuri moment with Tsumugi (S01E04) I can't think of one thing that bothered me in the whole series.

It's possible Ui and Jun didn't meet / weren't put in the same class until their final year in middle school, at which point Yui and Nodoka were in high school. That's what I assumed, anyway.

It was shown clearly that Jun was attended the same mid school in the manga, but I'm not really sure for the anime since the scene in the anime is a bit different from the manga.

This is extremely depressing and facepalm worthy.
Ayana Taketatsus is 22. She's well into adulthood. What the heck do these fans expect?! Is she supposed to be celibate for life to live up to their image of a fictional character in a 4Koma manga and an associate anime? :twitch:
Stuff like this is very worrisome because it may dissuade good potential seiyu talent from ever entering the industry, as they'd know that this is the sort of nonsense that they might have to put up with for it.

No wonder otakus get such a bad rep; with idiots like that, I can see why they're often shunned in (Japanese) society.
These girls are in the prime of their lives: they're young, (usually) pretty and (most likely) fertile as well. Maybe one of them gives birth to a future seiyuu, should she find a boyfriend and get married. You'd think these losers would stop and think about that, rather than burn her at the stake for committing some sort of heinous crime.
And Kakifly should give these people the middle finger and give all of the girls a boyfriend, as if to say: "It's my story, and I can do with it whatever I want. Go make your own manga if you care so much about it!"

Its a given, unfortunately.. I mean when your famous in anything, and you have a huge fan base of the opposite gender. The reaction of hate, sadness, jealousy will happen in anything, not just the anime pop culture. Nothing new really. I mean the magnitude is not as great as Paul McCartney's marriage to Linda in 1969 where he broke MILLIONS of girls hearts, but it was still the same reaction as this whole Ayana thing.

As was already mentioned, you have to keep in mind that a lot of the "extreme" reactions are just people trying to get attention. The pictures with the cut photos and stuff are basically a meme to make fun of the people who really do almost take it that seriously. While I'm sure that some people are saddened by the idea that their idol may possibly no longer be single, you really can't take 2ch or Sankaku that seriously. They're being sensationalistic just to attract attention, and the very fact we're having this conversation proved that it worked.

Either way, it's still a pathetic cry for attention, regardless of how seriously they actually mean it. And this is assuming it's not another fluke, like Yoko Hikasa's 'engagement ring'.

I think anyone who works in the spotlight has to be aware of the risk of attracting that sort of attention and, as was said before, that's not exactly unique to the anime community (as celebrities in Hollywood and in England -- among other places -- can attest to). But the only reason 2ch does these kinds of jokes -- and Sankaku makes a big deal about it -- is because they're trolling and it attracts this sort of outrage. As with most trolls, it's better to just ignore them.

While I was watching some videos I noticed that the instruments used in Led Zeppelin were the same as Houkago tea time(Man I wish some mainstream bands today could play like this! I really want too change the way we listen to things with the music i make;))
Mio use's a 1962 Fender Jazz bass in sunburst finish with a tortoise pick-guard, one used by John Paul Jones from Led Zeppelin
Yui use's a Gibson Les Paul Standard Heritage Cherry Sunburst, same with Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin

true, What I was trying to say was that both bands play the exact same guitar instruments in there performances. In both the same sunburst color, and type of guitar. We could make references to any musician, like Eric Clapton, using a Gibson Les Paul Standard Heritage Cherry Sunburst, or any other musician. I find it notable seeing both of the same instrument used side by side, from a very notable rock band. I typically don't see those two of exact color and types of guitars together in any mainstream oldie rock band like the ones used by, Hokago Tea time. If that was any more clear :heh:

Keyboard synthesizer/workstations like the one Mugi has didn't really come onto the scene until the late 80's. Furthermore, the Korg workstation line that Mugi has didn't come around until the mid-late 90's.

Just found out the manga is still ongoing, I thought it had stopped once they graduated. What chapter was the last one before they started college? Need to catch up.
Chapter 52 was the last one for Yui, Ritsu, Mio, and Mugi is High School. Then the manga toko a half year off, then started up again in two magazines, with Chapter 53 following Yui, Ritsu, Mio, and Mugi into college, and Chapter 54 following Azusa in her last year of High School.
So it has been odd chapters for the college girls (released the first week or so of the month) and the even chapers for the high school girls (released the last week of the month).
Chapter 65 should be released in a day or two in Japan.

True about her modern keyboards. But she does play a Hammond B in the 2nd ED song. JPJ played one of those as a session player in the 60s. Don't remember if he played it in LZ.

Since they were a 4 piece band, they didn't use keyboards often, but I think LZ used multiple Keyboards,
In LZ they did use Hammond organs
The only time I can recall them using Korg, was the Korg Oasys 88,Korg X50 synthesizers during the Led Zeppelin back in 2007 reunion

I don't really count the ED's because they're not canon...yet(?) But in any case that's not her primary instrument.

The Korg Trinity and Triton series were both quite revolutionary keyboards for their time and gained quite a bit of fame. It's not too surprising, I think.

Since the story comes from an anonymous poster on a chat board, and one who admits to being a stalker (ie, a crazy asshole) at that, I wouldn't put much trust in the source.
