And this episode shows us how would Soul Society played a soccer game. *Yikes* rather danderous game indeed.:p I would called it killer soccer.:D

Contrary to what many people thought this episode would be, it was a very fun one.I really enjoyed it and and now patiently waiting for the subs.

This is proof that fillers can be entertaining and not suck all the time.:heh::D

I got a bit farther into this one than the last, but still, you figure with two episodes they could have done something better than this... *thinks back to that mini Hitsugaya arc during* No they probably couldn't have.

Best part has got to be the Golden Cup, pretty funny.

Wonder just how badly the fillers will rape this next arc.

Two of Lurichiyo's underlings were strangely dressed for a soccer games ... The were wearing ceremonial robes . My memory jogged back a few years .....


I have a general have a philosophy don't watch sports play them . Its been my philosophy ever since I remember so not into watching sports . But there was this one sporting event I had watched , not for the sport but sightseeing . I have a wanderlusting soul to feed my hunger I used to watch lot of discovery as a kid . This sporting event wasn't held in the usual destinations . The sporting event I am talking 2001 FIFA Soccer world Cup .

You might wander as I yonder what the hell has 2001 Soccer World Cup gots to do with this episode . Is Mikey's posting drunk again . As I said as kid I yearned for wandelusting, so most of the time during FIFA World Cup I was watching other related news than the actual matches . I have vivid memories of monks dressed in ceremonial garbs playing soccer in Korea and Japan . SO yeah I googled up for a good twenty minutes to see if I remembered correct .

And I was correct the sport by Team Karakura is cuju or to be more precise Kemari....

Good call. I was stomping my foot out of aggravation while watching this episode. I did not like it all. Who uses their zanpaktou during a game of soccer? I thought it was extra-corny. And btw, how in the world did Lurichiyo know that Ichigo had Shunpo? Who told her what Shunpo is? Enryuu? Kenryuu?

This episode was funny as hell! :heh: I was in stitches. The funniest filler since Ikkaku and the Kendo match. I was crying off the raw...I know I won't be able to breathe when I watch the subbed episode. I give this episode a 10 for silliness. :heh: (It was really funny)

Best things in this episode were the avatar-worthy Urahara licking candy scene and the next episodes synopsis xD At least I'm glad this one was small, it would have been a real bother if the espada wanted to rock the nobility of SS and Aizen commanded the Espada to make their own team...although I wouldn't mind seeing a Yoruichi vs Halibel match :D

yep thats true I have to say it <dont.shoot.me> . This episode was more enjoyable than many an episodes based on Canonical material . I enjoyed Bleach after a long time : D

sadly, I have to agree...
I'm really not one to care much about fanservice in an anime (after all, it's a cartoon), but Yoruichi is...er, special

I thought it was beyond silly (not to mention out of character) for so many of our main characters to be using their zanpakutous for a sports game. Poor Kon...

And the ending was sappy, way too sappy for Bleach :mad:

but yeah, Yoruichi definitely saved it with her seconds of glory

Beyond that, my anticipation (and expectations) for next week's episode is very high. Just hearing Shinji's voice in the previews gave me chills, lol

Lol finally got to watch it, that was hilarious... although the end was a little sappy, and kinda just... happened. Was hoping to see more characters pop up.

Altogether it wasn't actually as bad as I was dreading. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either. I liked it, and that shocked me. At least it isn't months of filler this time. I half-expected more people to turn up. I'm glad they didn't. It was just entertaining enough for me to get into and enjoy.

I must to ask...why Ikkaku? I know Bleach's filler can be totally random, but ... that was such an awkward moment. At least it wasn't Hitsugaya who made an appearance, as much as I like the little guy...that would have been too much for me to take.

Urahara was there, so it wasn't all bad. He's enough to save almost any episode...almost.

Besides, Ichigo saw a Senna lookalike human girl run by at the end, possibly hinting that the fake Senna was based on her or something... so Senna could be shown in normal continuity without messing it up.

That's what I meant....both the movies and the last two filler arcs have been on a different timeline than the rest of the series.

The only thing worthy of interest to notice was that it revived nostalgia from the ol', good days of Bleach:


1. Yoruichi in cat form.

2. Ikkaku springing to action.

3. Urahara easily bribed with sweets.


Everything else was just 'X' (denoting indifference).

When they are talking about the "tournament", in the englich sub they say soccer but that obviously isn't what they end up playing. So what do they actually say?
