Haven't seen anyone that fits that description yet. Though she looks a little bit like Kana Minami, save for her eye color and that this isn't Minami-ke.

(While you can't see it in that picture, some others have her with a different colored ribbon. A Second year student?)

Seitenkan would like to point out that genderbending females into males is perfectly acceptable, and can, at times, make the character(s) more entertaining.

Genderbending K-On would turn in into a high school epic about four guys who aim to achieve greatness with the POWAH OF ROCK. If that isn't entertaining I don't know what is.

Please try to be more open and accepting of the Y chromosome in the future. This is the kind of mentality that creates LCD monstrosities like Dragonaut and Queen's Blade.

Of course, the problem with genderbending K-On is that I can't possibly figure out how to genderbend Mio... all the other characters have a clear archetypical analogue, but not Mio.

Just what part of Touhou fanbase are you from, I wonder :heh:. Unfortunately I can't provide you with good backup from my end, because the Touhou imageboard has been flooded recently, and wipe out most of the section, including Touhou genderbending section. That's the bad part. The good part is I manage to recover some of those images as you can see in my gallery (http://s100.photobucket.com/albums/m40/DSveno/Games/Touhou/genderbending/).
And there are at least 2 male characters in Gensokyo, and 1 that has no specific gender (I'm not talking about Unzan. I'm talking about a certain priest that can transform into man and woman).

Don't be so narrow minded like that. Genderbending doesn't mean turn a girl into a boy. Like C.A. said:

Wait for the singles to get released. If there is an off-vocal version of the song it makes it easier for them to make Vocaloid versions. As for parodies of the OP and ED, they are a bit more complex than Hare Hare Yukai or even Seikan Hikou since they are just dance sequences (with the occasional insert image). Don't Say 'Lazy' will probably be parodied first, although someone will have to create a keytar model to use in MMD (if they are trying to get it as close as possible) or they are willing to re-animate the ED. People recreated Lucky Star's OP, but that takes a while to do properly.

I've seen too many series where the male lead is a complete, total, and utter IMBECILE who should never have been allowed onscreen. They've annoyed me so much that I've given up on male characters in general, in anime.

Also, there's the concept from video games, where male gamers choose a female character because "if I'm going to be watching a character on screen for hours, it might as well be a character I find attractive."

So, speaking IN GENERAL (understand this is not absolute), I consider it better to have girls than guys in anime because A) girls are prettier, and B) they tend to have more interesting personalities.

Ye gods people, forcing me to explain myself makes it sound like I'm so hardcore about this. It was intended to be AMUSING, for crying out loud. Too much discussion makes it sound so much more serious than it needs to be. :p

I sense rampant sexism here, both ways. It pisses me off.

Seitenkan would like to point out that genderbending females into males is perfectly acceptable, and can, at times, make the character(s) more entertaining.

Genderbending K-On would turn in into a high school epic about four guys who aim to achieve greatness with the POWAH OF ROCK. If that isn't entertaining I don't know what is.

Please try to be more open and accepting of the Y chromosome in the future. This is the kind of mentality that creates LCD monstrosities like Dragonaut and Queen's Blade.

Of course, the problem with genderbending K-On is that I can't possibly figure out how to genderbend Mio... all the other characters have a clear archetypical analogue, but not Mio.



I call bull. Genderbending's purpose isn't to get rid of male characters, it's to REVERSE THE GENDERS OF THE ENTIRE CAST.

As far as I'm aware of, the one from the old thread were painstakingly constructed from multiple screenshots by one of us here, but this one from herbert seems to be an official thing, am I wrong? Or someone went through all the trouble of vectorizing all that and added a logo to it?

The one KiNA got, though, seems to be a shopped of what herbert has, since on the shirt it doesn't really say "K-ON". All I can see is just a flipped "N" and "ON" without a dash.

Anyways, I have a (serious) request, since we have some talented vector artists here. Can someone try to animate her a little bit, with her eyes blinking and mouth opening and closing like singing (something like this Miku animated GIF (http://i361.photobucket.com/albums/oo59/tobis_anime/Vocaloid/Miku/e9389e260cb3b5a797a322amf4.gif))? I have a fancy idea to make a Mio desktop mascot, but I need her to be at least slightly animated. I suppose this shouldn't be too difficult for you guys.

Well, I end up actually trying to animate her myself LOL :heh: Since I know shit about vectoring, I chose another path and did some simple and dirty cut-n-paste works, and the final result isn't all that bad. Below is a screenshot of my work-in-progress Mio desktop mascot (Hatsune Miku one is a "bonus" lol).
