Your best bet probably is Play-Asia, having a brief look...
(Approximates only. Based on XE raw exchange rate as of writing, where 1USD = 80.6199 JPY)
Retail: 4500 yen (incl. consumption tax) = 55.82 USD (Amazon.co.jp (http://www.amazon.co.jp/%E3%82%AA%E3%83%95%E3%82%A3%E3%82%B7%E3%83%A3%E3%8 3%AB-%E3%83%90%E3%83%B3%E3%83%89%E3%82%84%E3%82%8D%E3%8 3%BC%E3%82%88-~Let%E2%80%99s-Music4~%E3%82%A4%E3%83%A1%E3%83%BC%E3%82%B8%E3%82% BD%E3%83%B3%E3%82%B0%E4%BB%96%E7%B7%A8-%E3%83%90%E3%83%B3%E3%83%89%E3%82%B9%E3%82%B3%E3%8 2%A2%E4%BB%98/dp/B004VSNCSY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1310133832&sr=8-1))
Play-Asia (http://www.play-asia.com/Keion_Official_Band_Yaroyo_Lets_Music_4_Image_Song _etc._Hen_Band/paOS-13-71-9x-49-en-70-48ha.html): 47.49USD (Does not include shipping)
YesAsia (http://www.yesasia.com/global/tv-anime-k-on-official-band-yaro-yo-lets-music-4-image-song-%CE%B1-hen/1024275054-0-0-0-en/info.html): 85.99USD (Includes free international shipping)
CDJapan (http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=PCCG-1076): 4268 yen = 52.07USD (Excludes tax and shipping)
Thanks! Good pick! Well since I used Play-Asia before, I thought I would give it a try again. The Band Score should be here 1-4 days, but no kidding shipping was pricey! :( $26.00 for shipping! I payed like $70.00 in total USD! (Play-Asia saved me like $10.00 :) from of using CD Japan which would cost $80 ) On another note (no pun ;D) I need some practice, and training in learning how too score out the book onto Guitar Pro. I can read the music, but I'm not the greatest at using Guitar Pro. Any guidance?
P.S
I'm really exited! http://www.laymark.com/i/o/22.gif This book looks thicker then the first one I got.

I'd recommend just looking at other people's GP scores and trying to figure out what they did. For example, since you have the new book, compare Junjou Bomber with SirSlarty's version of it. Other than that...umm, what program are you using exactly?

hey, may i ask, what's the model of your bass, and amp? (we've been searching for a good, and economical bass and bass gear, and we wanna know all the options. yours sounded great.) wait a minute, should this question be in the musical instruments thread, o well, never mind....

i use line6 UX1 for recording since i usually get unwanted noise whenever i record directly from my amp (T_T)...
for the actual bass, you can compare these 3 that i've used so far:
(custom 5-string that i just assembled using generic parts)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=guA1Xr_nA7A
(warwick rockbass corvette $$... would also try to do a k-on song with this some other time)

and (dean evo xm- the same used on my no thank you!)

though if you can get a fender, then i recommend you go for fender :D

hey, thanks dude, well, we're leaning on the fender alright, but there are more brands to choose, including some of the stuff you've posted here. it's nice to always keep your options up. (well, actually my friend will buy a bass, but since i also wanna learn basic bass skills, and i wanna help him, i am trying to find the best bass for the budget). though we couldn't get the line6 (i don't even know where to get line6. where did you got it?), we'll just stick to a bass amp (probably peavey)..
thanks....

Holy CRAP Play-Asia ships stuff fast. Ordered as soon as my address settled and it got here in like 2 days. Nice! So who's working on what exactly? If you're currently tabbing anything, give a shout out. I'm taking Over the Starlight as my first goal. I'd offer to scan stuff, but...no scanner at my place. Or Internet.

I know right! Play-Aisa is fast, well faster then before.http://www.fraudwatchers.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif My Scanner is pretty small to scan pages (well band score pages) I can try to ask my parents if I can use our giant office printer/scanner, but if that doesn't work out I can offer too take high Resolution photos. I won't be able to do scans or pics now because I'm super busy until the 6th (Otakon next weekend and after that I have a gig). I wanted to tab Shiny GEMS next but if someone else to claim it first then by all means. Ther other one I'd tab is Joyful Todays.

I'm looking at it, and like most metal songs. Pretty much the whole is song is composed of power chords, palm muting, and speed picking! Nothing out of the usual (^▽^)

I would be willing to do some tabbing since it's summer holidays now and I won't be doing much. But I only have TuxGuitar, can that export into gp5?
If someone can send me scans then I wouldn't mind doing it. I'd prefer Seishun Vibration/Oh My Giita/Shiawase Hiyori/Diary wa Fortissimo as I know these songs better, but otherwise I don't mind ^_^

If you have the software Guitar Pro, you can download this GP5 file and it has all the parts including the official keyboard sheet music part, and it print it!

hmmmm, well, you could just ignore the first 2 strings (well, that's what i would do in your situation, and that's the way i play this part of the song myself). or you could use a capo on th 1st fret (since the official tabs require a capo, which i used to have, but now my firend is "borrowing" it for about a year now). but if you're willing to stretch that far and do that chord without capo, well, good luck with that, hehehe....
oh yeah, about the LOVE tabs. yeah, i know. it's full of those palm muting, power chords and legatos (that i wish i could do, hayzzz). but i just want to see what the official tabs look like (plus i will choose which tab will i choose as my "dream-look-forward-to-the-future-when-i'm-awesome-at-guitars" tab, which is the easier one. it's fine to at least try stuff that's beyond your level. it gives you that urge to do better, i always say).
oh, before i forget, uhmmm, the gp5 tabs of junjou bomber, there are some weird stuff there. like the guitar part turned into a flute, the bass an overdriven guitar, etc. (i guess it's the result of converting a gpx file to gp5, some weirdness happens). hope it will be fixed soon (i couldn't install gp6 here, something strange is happening to my pc)....
thanks all....

I wounder why the Official Band Score requires a Capodastro? I don't re-call anyone in the series ever using a Capo. I don't think Yui can reach that chord with her hands, but anyways I mastered this song its just that one chord! :heh:

It IS a side-effect of turning a .gpx into a .gp5. GP5 has a limited number of channels (numbered 1-16) with which to play things so when it runs out it start erroneously labelling some stuff as other stuff. BUT as long as you don't open the instrument settings page everything will still sound fine. But the moment you open it up it'll start sounding bad. To resolve this, switch which channel each instrument is using (by default each uses two channels, unless there are effects this isn't really necessary. if you consolidate those you'll have enough room)

Light still no Advil? Try this..
Re-install TuxGuitar (http://sourceforge.net/projects/tuxguitar/files/TuxGuitar/TuxGuitar-1.2/tuxguitar-1.2-windows-x86-installer.exe/download), and make sure you have the latest version of Java (http://www.java.com/en/download/). Also make sure you download the GPX file (http://forums.animesuki.com/showpost.php?p=3685100&postcount=1756) not the GP5, and use the GPX. Even if you did use the GP5 file in Tux guitar; there still should be no problem.

@ Light: I assumed you were using GP5. TuxGuitar (to my knowledge) does not suffer from this problem. However, the fix is relatively simple and if you let me know what song it is, I probably already have a corrected version for my own personal use.
@ Captn: Something that happens because of a typo in the score or if is audibly different from what is played in the song. I've corrected a few score typos while tabbing and usually leave a note like that.
Anyway, Midnight Superstar (http://www.mediafire.com/?hhqnho7bakbrw22) is done. As expected from the jazzy Jun, the song is full of neat instrumental flourishes and motifs that make it a pain to tab. Of course, they're also the reason why I like it so much. Diary is my next target.

Yeah, it's really not a problem (or anything you should feel compelled to address). Later today or tomorrow I'll see about fixing any GP5's that have this issue, it hardly takes any effort at all. GP5 (the program) is just not very well coded. By the way, what other tracks does this happen to other than Junjou Bomber? I'm pretty sure I fixed them all without thinking anything of it...maybe I'll go back and re-download to double check them.

How many people are doing tabbing? I'm guessing no-one's scanning since I didn't get much of a reply...But I'm still willing to do some if people are busy or someone doesn't mind scanning.
In the meantime, thanks for the tabs! Have been learning Cagayake Girls bass recently after long procrastinating on the basis of 'it's too hard'...By the way, a small note on tabbing keyboard, would it be possible to write in a note about what tone keyboard it is e.g. organ/piano/bell etc, as the gp5 tracks don't seem that wide-ranging...:)

SirSlarty is busy atm, I think Captn has the score book but is still learning the program so I dunno if he's tabbing anything. I'm trying to knock out tabs like a madman, but don't have a scanner or camera so that's a no go. By the way, my planned tabbing order goes:
Diary (WIP)
Uki Uki
Drumming Shining
Yuuzora a la Carte
possibly LOVE if no one's got to it by this point. Or Joyful Todays.
As for keyboard parts, I usually leave notes as to what that specific synth is playing, but I've only started tabbing relatively recently so you may want to ask the tab creator.

Since the song structure is the similar too Utauyo!! MIRACLE, It should be easy to score out Oh My Giita!! Shiawase Hiyori should be fairly easy. The good thing is I love these songs so it should be fun scoring them out! I'm going to start right after dinner!

Brilliant! Just a bit off in timing, but that might just be because of the song and not your playing. Sweet job man!

I think I was off just after the fast little bit in the middle. I did those three notes slightly wrong. Thanks though :P I'll have a go at recording the entire song and do Yui's parts of the solo.

I'm learning this song too! Its not easy, but its easier then I thought. (If that makes any sense! :heh:) I'm learning this song piece by piece, by practicing individual structure parts of the song (e.g. Introduction, Verse, Pre-chorus, chorus), and mastering it. Its going to take awhile before I can start sing while playing lead at normal tempo. :heh:
update on my scoring.
I screwed up the file, and Guitar Pro crashed on me :( I'll start out fresh (The first one I did had some errors in the score which I tried too fix) , this time I wont try to alter the file without backing it up. Since I have a better feel for Guitar Pro 6, it won't take me long too score it again. Thank you for being patient, I'm trying to make it 100% accurate.

Good tone- looks like you know your stuff when it comes to recording. One thing I'm hearing is that the tuning sounds a tiny bit off; nothing major but it's still catching my ear. From what I hear, I believe the culprit is the recording itself, not your guitar.
Like I said though, nothing major at all. Well played, sir.

Oh, I remembered I did a cover of the TV size version of the song a few months ago. I'm still going to record the whole song as I've got my new amp and my overall playing has improved since the recording. If you'd like to see it, the link's here.

That was good! http://www.fraudwatchers.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gifWith your recording I thought it was pretty good for just plugging it from you amp, and into you PC via headphone cable! I took a peek at your other videos, and noticed you covered Metallica's Enter Sandman, that was awesome! Metallica is so cool! Unfortunately I only have one album from them, there self named title aka The Black Album.
P.S.
If you want to enable Youtube videos, here is how you do it
1. Take your video link and copy the last part of the link

Be careful when plugging in your amp directly into the headphone jack- output frequencies differ greatly, so make sure you're not using it too loudly or with too many watts. My high school band teacher told us of an expensive P.A. system he accidentally overloaded this way. Just a warning, and good playing. ;)

Diary wa Fortissimo (http://www.mediafire.com/?hbd7ep0ox82k4mw) is finished. Fun fact: the musical term is 'Fortissimo' and it's spelled correctly on the tab book, but depending on what CD you got the track title might read "Fortessimo"...which isn't a thing. Anyway, in honor of that I set a bunch of random notes to fortissimo in GP, so have fun with that. There are a hell of a lot of parts for Mugi in this one--the piano and 7 (!) synths. Yes, 7.
Moving on to Uki Uki now.
Edit: Okay, I also uploaded fixed GP5 versions of the following songs:
Hello Little Girl (http://www.mediafire.com/?50q4032i3l366bq)
Hell The World (http://www.mediafire.com/?bahvvji1ogh96mv)
Oui! Ai Kotoba (http://www.mediafire.com/?w3u7jd5s44418yj)
Fuyu no Hi (http://www.mediafire.com/?4n2l6j9sit8icj5)
Our MAGIC (http://www.mediafire.com/?10plyv8b89ww51t)
Kira Kira Days (http://www.mediafire.com/?ulkc3wdj0h9lk4u)
Junjou Bomber!! (http://www.mediafire.com/?gi33l5g6avcv9gv)
I also added a note in the main tabs list about what to do if the RSE instruments (guitars, drums) are too quiet in GP5. This is another side-effect that sometimes occurs when exporting GP5 from GP6. If there are any other problems, let me know.

Actually, "fortessimo" is a somewhat archaic version of said dynamic, I believe. Incorrectly spelled in the time due to the way the composers of the time had pronounced it, but quickly remedied.

Okay this may sound like a really stupid question, and its a shame that I don't know the meaning of it; even though I have been reading sheet music for four years, but what does S-Gt, S-Gt7, and E-Gt mean in vocals? I never really paid attention too this until now as I'm scoring out the songs. My guess?
S-GT = Solo Guitar
E-GT= Ensemble Guitar
Both players play the E-GT parts?
but if my guess is right why would you do this for Vocals and what is S-Gt7 ?
never mind, I just fond out there names were short names for overdrive guitar or clean guitar. Why are you guys using guitars for vocals instead of using singers when adding instruments?

it works fine:) I'll just use the singer as the vocals and change it too Violin. :p The reason why I'm concerned is because everybody scores have guitar icons as there Voice which is a guitar pick that looks like this http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/444/unledxzj.png, instead of the singer icon which is a microphone that looks like thishttp://img683.imageshack.us/img683/5303/unledrpxk.png, I can see that somebody picked the Clean electric guitar first as there vocals, and changed the instrument, because the short name is left as S-Gt7 (which is the short name for clean guitar in guitar pro) and has a clean guitar icon which is a clear pick.

after watching the 1st season a while ago, i've recently decided to re-learn some s1 songs. well, here's the thing. in cagayake girls, there is a fast "solo" performed by Yui (i hope you guys know what i'm talking about). so, how do you do that part exactly? speed alternate picking? or what technique do you guys use? ( sorry i can't show the tabs for it).
thanks....

No problem! I'd basically already done the work for my own use, so it was no trouble at all.
I actually cheat on that part of the solo. Since 15 on the B with a full bend is the same note as 12 on the E, I just do gallops on the B and lighten up on the bend when necessary.
Edit: Uki Uki New! My Way (http://www.mediafire.com/?0p7b683t8i9727r) is done. Yay! It went pretty fast, actually...a lot of copypasta from one section to another. There were a lot of synths, though (6! Why do I always choose the synth-heavy songs for myself..) Moving on to Drumming Shining My Life.
Erm, may I request that there be vocals in the gp file of Fuwa Fuwa Time? I can play the guitar, but i can't seem to follow it when I try to sing.

You're in luck. I happen to have a set of old scans of Fuwa Fuwa Time (Studio Mix) that I got from iuniver's old list. I just tabbed out the vocal score and lyrics. Here you go (http://www.mediafire.com/?kyemmhjl5s4ep3z).
@LightMusicBand
I would down pick the bend on the 15th fret then alternate pick on the 12th fret (down-up). The pattern's the same with Guitar ni Kubittake solo...but I did all downstroke in my video. I think I'm not used with alternate picking that part before XD
Let your fingers remember the positions then try to go fast. For sure, that'll sound messy so go back to playing slow again and refine it. Repeat the process until you are completely relaxed (taken from Tom Hess' articles). I didn't follow this process but I think it's effective.

Well, I suppose that works, but without the bend it sounds slightly different. Try bending the 10th fret instead of using the 12th (although the high E is a little harder to bend than the B, that's why I prefer bending 15th on B)

It doesn't matter if you don't give anything in return, all that is matters is that you understand. Which I think would anybody happy! About .GPX. It is a new standard format type for Guitar Pro 6, and I don't think any programs support .GPX other then Guitar Pro 6? I could be wrong.
Here is a good resource if you are trying to convert a random .GPX file. Use Tab-explorter (http://www.tab-exporter.com/) Click 'Choose File' , and take the tab thats in GPX format. Then click 'Open' This is the neat part, at the top right of the score box of the tab there should be formats that you can download the tab in like Guitar Pro 5, and other formats.
Click Guitar Pro 5 format since Tux Guitar can play it

Good job, but the only problem is that the latter half of the final measure of Chorus 3A before Outro 1A should have a tempo change to 135 BPM and then back to 190 BPM on the hi-hats before Outro 1B.

If you click on the track, down on the track list, where it says the name of the track (e.g. Synth I or Synth II), along the upper left side of the track properties window there's a checkbox that says "Tablature", right underneath the "Musical Notation" checkbox. Check it to show the tab.
GP6 has a few advantages over GP5. It has a much better RSE, a lot more musical notation options, grand staff support on the piano, slash notation and some other stuff. I think the performance requirements are slightly higher though, as it lags on my computer. I have both but prefer GP5.

hmmm, have a bit of question, about the artificial harmonic at the start (which indeed sound really weird). what's the root note of the harmonic, or the note, exactly. because if i get it correctly, you can change the note of an artificial harmonic (pinch harmonic) just by adjusting the distance from the bridge. so is the harmonic in E?
thanks.

It's an F. 22nd fret on the G string, do the 8va harmonic.

hey, great to see you back dude. uhmmm, let's see. the tabbing business is getting a little dry lately. probably because we don't have that many sources of the official tabs to go around. i don't even know if they are sending pm's for it anymore. Umm...yeah. The people with books are myself, SirSlarty, and CaptnAwesomee. I don't have a scanner or high-resolution camera, and I assume the same is the case for the Captn. SirSlarty is really busy and hasn't been able to tab or scan anything for weeks. I've been tabbing as fast as I can, but work has been ramping up last week or so and my pace has been reduced.
By the way, I did manage to hit a friend's scanner for long enough to get an image of the CD cover, in case anyone wanted that.

Hi, I've been lurking this thread for a while, but finally registered an account for myself. I stumbled upon a copy of Let's MUSIC!! 4 at a Kinokuniya while visiting a friend, and since I've seen no activity in this thread for Seishun Vibration, I've started making a .gp5 of it. I'm honestly a little iffy on how well I can do this; I have plenty of musical experience on other instruments, but I have little experience with guitars and no experience with using gp5 to actually write out something, so I'm learning the interface as I go. I'm not so worried about the big picture, but more about messing up subtle things like the exact nature of slides/bends/hammer ons, string muting, or the sounds of the instruments on the tracks, but if people don't mind some slightly amateurish work then I'd be happy to release it in the end.
I'd also like to take the moment to thank everyone who's submitted scans or tabs to the project. Much <3 to all of you.

As far as I can tell, there's no real difference...just minor things like is it just a 5th or is it a power chord. That's why I'm confused as to whether the tab is actually different or maybe it was just tabbed differently before...as weird as it would be to release two identical tabs, it would be even stranger to release two tabs which differ only slightly.
ok, i was gonna ask about something that's about some guitar stuff, but i guess i can do it later...

Yeah, Fuwa Fuwa Time is easy but not that easy. I think I was able to play it after about 2/3 months but that's only because I had years of piano experience so picking up the guitar came a little more easily.
But one thing you guys might not giving Yui enough credit for it how much she practices when she really gets into it. I mean, she neglects her studies and everything, that must be hours in a row. I don't think I've ever really done that.

First song I learnt was Cagayake Girls, and that was after about 2 months or so. It took me another few months to get the hang of being able to alt strum though. These days I tend to play for about 2 hours or so (sometimes more depending on how far I get into it)

yes, fuwa fuwa time is indeed pretty easy, now. but when i first started out playing the guitar, oh man, gave me a really tough time learning it with the tabs on gp available at that time. (i used to stare at the screen and say, "what the heck is that?", because i only know some power chords back then. even remembered the time when i can't sleep because i kept on thinking a part of that song that i couldn't really do, haha). took me about 2 months to roughly learn it.
oh yeah, my question. i've been trying that 3rd string 22nd fret 8va harmonic you were telling me about (using pinch harmonics), but the sound doesn't ring for a long time. maybe because it's so close to the bridge that it doesn't have enough lengh to gain power. well, i've tried to transpose it on the 2nd string, improved sound, but still lacks the power. am i doing something wrong? or what should i really do? (should i use pinch harmonics for this?)
thanks.

I'm not too good with pinch harmonics myself, so I've encountered similar problems as you have. But I found that you can improve the sound by adjusting your gain settings; what guitar/amp are you using?
BigSmokeDawg
2011-09-02, 15:43
Yeah, for pinchies you gotta make sure you've got a lot of gain and that you use the bridge humbucker. It took me quite a while to get them, you just have to keep trying to do them every so often. Also try adjusting where abouts you're picking to try and do them. I couldn't do them at all on my old 10w amp, but on my new 30w I can easily do them.
This will help a lot too:
MFmhBq_Kfeg
@LightMusicBand
You need a good setting and amp to make your pinch harmonic sound good. But of course, the most important thing is getting the pinch harmonic to sound even without plugging it into an amp.
I have 3 different setup in my house:
- One with my crappy amp (the crappiest one)..and it's very difficult to produce a harmonic.
- Second is by directly plugging the guitar to my computer. The signal is reduced horribly (because the conversion of analog to digital wasn't handled properly) but even with that it's way easier to produce pinch harmonics in this setup. This is the setup I use for all my videos and recordings.
- Third is by using an old equalizer (more than 10 years old) to increase the gain of my amp. This setup has a lots of noise but it has a lot of gain...so this is the easiest setup to get the pinch harmonics working.
So to conclude this higher gain = easier.
LightMusicBand
2011-09-03, 02:21
uhmmmm, ok. i use a very crappy 10 W amp (maybe even lower than 10 W if you account the age of it). an amp that reached the end of its useful life a long time ago. i mean, it sounds really weak, low gain, and sounds like an empty can of sardines. (i think you know what i mean). i've been wanting it to be replaced a long time ago, but due to financial constraints, i just have to make due with it. (actually, not exactly my amp to begin with. it was given to me by my friend).
it's low gain is counteracted by my effect pedal's gain. but it's just not enough. haven't really tried that on guitar rig, either. i guess i'll try.
so you do use pinch harmonics for that part? and does it really sound powerful, even on the 22nd fret? i can't really test this out.
trenton_dawn
2011-09-03, 03:43
The score sheet specifically calls for pinch harmonic on that fret, so that's apparently how it's done. It's hard to say where the problem lies without hearing it first because powerful pinch harmonics result from a combination of technique, pickup quality, amp gain, effects gain, amp power, etc...
@LightMusicBand
I can feel your pain XD.
Also, my sound won't last long because of the low gain...maybe it's the same issue with yours. I'm trying to do vibratos just to lengthen the sound a bit. I really need to buy a new rig.
BigSmokeDawg
2011-09-03, 07:10
A pinch harmonic on the 22nd fret sounds a bit too ridiculous though... I find they're easiest to get on the G string around the 3rd fret, so practice being able to do them there first.
LightMusicBand
2011-09-03, 07:41
yes, indeed. a pinch harmonic on the 22nd fret does sound really far-fetched and ridiculous. i mean, that's pretty near the bridge. and the shorter the distance that the string can resonate from the bridge, the less power it has. i keep on producing weak harmonics there, even with vibrato. (and i produce typically fine ones further down the fretboard, like the 12th fret). and my rig is really retarded and weak. sigh... (i envy you guys....)
well, gonna sort this out. or just improvise on something... any tips guys?
oh yeah. i want to share my cover here. done this a month and a half ago, but only took me this time to edit it so that youtube won't block it. so what do you think?

At CaptnAwesomee's request, I've taken over Oh My Giita and Shiawase Hiyori. GO! GO! MANIAC is on hold temporarily, but Oh My Giita (http://www.mediafire.com/?ewe6cm4e74t87cj) is done. I can't believe how many syllables Yui manages to fit in each line. Shiawase Hiyori is under progress now.
Edit: Shiawase Hiyori (http://www.mediafire.com/?hppcj193l5wxkph) is also done. This song repeats a lot, a lot of copy/paste was involved. I mean, 3 separate D.S./coda combinations in one song is kind of overkill. Anyway, if you haven't already done so, look up the English lyrics (assuming you can't read Japanese), they're so cute. Going to finish up that GO! GO! MANIAC tab next.

Thread needs more Mio love.
Speaking of Mio love, getting around to the guitars in Seishun Vibration (everything else is done except for guitar 1/2), I start plugging in the tabs and it sounds absolutely bizarre. I then notice "[kanji kanji kanji] chuuningu" at the beginning of the guitar parts and that the key signature is a half step up everything else (guitars are in A Major where the rest are in Ab Major). Does this mean the strings are tuned down a half step and the musical notation is written up one half step to compensate?
trenton_dawn
2011-09-27, 13:41
Hmm, don't remember seeing that before. The easiest way to deal with that is to look at the guitar parts and try to match the fret with the note (e.g. 5th fret on the E should be an A natural. If it's not, you can adjust the tuning so that it matches). But it sounds like 1/2 step down tuning.
Edit: double checked, it IS half step down if you were still wondering.

GO! GO! MANIAC (Let's Music 4 Ver.) (http://www.mediafire.com/?un827wbue3n81l6) is done. I'm still not sure how many of these are actual changes as opposed to mistakes on the part of the previous tabber, but there are a bunch of there. Also this version has lyrics. Aozora no Monologue is next.
Whats the difference between this version and the K-ON!! Official: Band Yarouyo!! ~Let’s Music!!~?

Looks like they just altered the main riff a bit.
God, I hate having this flu thing, I've not been able to play guitar for days ):

A lot of the vocal/harmony parts were slightly different, too, and section "C" before the chorus has fuller guitar chords on guitar 2.
Edit: Aozora no Monologue (http://www.mediafire.com/?ubaqo4du0jrohg6) is done. Not much to this song except for the fact that it has the MOST tracks I've seen yet, what with 3 pianos and a grand-staff strings part. Also, there is a hilarious typo on Synth V (Sequecnce lols)
I guess I'll do GENOM next. Not many tracks left, folks!
Edit 2: GENOM (http://www.mediafire.com/?kggk6ct5fr20770) is done. There are so many freaking sections in this song you would not believe. I mean, imagine my reaction when I opened up the book and saw this (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v494/supersaiyanatmaweapon/GENOM.jpg). And what is up with those verses?! Here I though deciphering Yui's rapid singing was tough--this makes that look downright easy. Anyway, the solo and chorus of this song are actually very similar to Love. Like, you could probably layer them on top of each other and it would sound alright. Although I think you'd have to transpose Love a half step up.
Also, I guess Hidamari Living is the only one left. I'll be doing that one, then.
Edit 3: Hidamari Living (http://www.mediafire.com/?p0du8c69z5rs6di) is also done. I gotta say, this is by far my least listened-to K-ON song (like 1/5 as many plays as the next lowest). I had written it off as a slow and boring song. I didn't actually remember what it sounded like as I was tabbing it, which was kind of confusing. Now that I've listened to it, it's actually a lot better than I thought...but still a little too slow for my taste.
Anyway, that's all the fresh tabs. Only Krimmydoodle's Seishun Vibration remains to be completed. Hooray! I can't wait for the book with the movie song(s)!

Only Krimmydoodle's Seishun Vibration remains to be completed.
Seishun Vibration (http://www.mediafire.com/?l5y8wt1kelkdsof)
As I mentioned when I started on this, I was learning GP as I went, and I'm not particularly a guitarist, so some things might have come out weird (especially anything involving bends and effects rather than literal pitches), so if anyone has any issues with it I have no problems with seeing someone change something and reupload it, but I hope this turned out well and that doesn't actually end up being the case. (I'm probably just being too hard on myself because I tend to have high standards whenever I do anything.)

Hey, excellent! We knocked out the whole book then! Great work everybody!
*round of applause*
Now to actually start learning the songs lol..
Edit: The Seishun Vibration tab looks pretty good. Only thing I would suggest is splitting the lead and backup vocals into two tracks to make it easier for people to see which is which. Not a big issue though.

hello,
uhmmm, since the next scorebook will not be out in a while, may i request for some stuff to be tabbed by ear? i mean, i can't tab by ear yet (the best i could do are tabbing chords by ear). well, that being said, could someone tab the songs in this video:
zgARiy6f270
i really like these OST's here. and since i couldn't play my electric guitar for a while due to a broken 1st string (and since money doesn't grow on trees), i have to settle with my acoustic guitar.
i hope someone could consider my request... thanks...

I'm ultra horrible at tabbing by ear but with a video I just might be able to do it if I can find some time. With the main tabbing project over I funneled the effort over into some art projects so I've less time now, but I'll let you know when I start one. Also, anyone know the names of those tracks?
edit: never mind, I found them.
1. Koneko no Ensou Kai
2. Ringo...Ringo...Ringo Ame
3. 15sai no March
4. Ii Yumemite ne
5. Hold on to your love
These Tabs will not open in the GP6.:upset: It is possible?

i don't really know the problem here. Guitar pro 6 is capable of opening GP6 and GP5 files. maybe it's a software problem...
@ trenton_dawn: well, if you're bad at tabbing by ear, try to divide that by 100, and that's my skill. i mean, i have to take the guitar and strum the chords individually until something fits the sound. being busy is perfectly understandable. thanks dude.
well, since the tabbers are on a break from tabbing from the scorebook, why not try tabbing these stuff on the video. i mean, i could do it myself, if i know how to, XD.
i would like the first 4 songs to be tabbed (i already have a tab for Hold on to Your Love, and i'm pretty happy with it too.). see my prev post, hehe...
hope someone considers my request...

@BigSmokeDawg: why not try playing something that reminds you most of k-on. you know. when i'm feeling down, i play U&I and Guitar ni Kubittake (and also U&I from the OST which i play in my acoustic guitar). that always lightens up my mood, and really makes me wanna feel like playing more...

Essentially there sort of like a TV size versions, reduced into a more simplified way so that the voice actors can play it. In other words its the same thing, but a little bit shorter and less difficult to play (e.g. songs like Fuwa Fuwa Time lack guitar techniques like palm muting) they are also played at a slightly slower tempo, making it playable friendly :) I'm pretty sure Minako Kotobuki was the only one to play her part just like the official score, but despite all that it sounds pretty good cause it didn't mess too much with the original, but it just added stuff so it still respects the original, but adds a bit of your own flavor. Solos are different like Fuwa Fuwa Time's solo. In the Come With Me concert they added the name call outs from Cagayake girls.

I return from the guitar shop. Out of the three guitars I tried, I think I'm going to be getting me a Fender Standard Telecaster. Really nice guitar, absolutely miles better than what I have. I played the guitar for like an hour or so. They had to peel it out of my hands to get it back :P
I still also want to try out a Fender Pawn Shop Mustang, so I'm going to keep emailing shops to see if anyone can get me one :P
But yeah, managed to get the perfect K-on Tone out of it too, so when I get it I'll have a go at trying some new K-on covers.

Thread is now about guitars and stuff because there's no new songs coming for like a month :P
Get a nice amp. Seriously, my friend has a multi effects pedal for his tiny Marshall amp. It's really got nothing on my Vypyr :P As for recording, I use a cable from the headphone jack on the amp to my PC.
Just get a nice amp like the Vypyr or one of the Fender amps. I like my Vypyr because it has so many effects and tone options (something like 10 amp models and 28 effects)
Also I'm going to be buying myself a new guitar. It's either going to be this:
http://www.promenademusic.co.uk/image/cache/data/mustangpawnred1-500x500.jpg
or
http://www.dv247.com/assets/products/40933_l.jpg
Most likely the Mustang as it sounds really really awesome. I still like the feel of the Telecaster, but the Mustang really does appeal to me. It's also got a load of tone options as the humbuckers can be split up into singles. I just need to get my hands on one to try...

It depends on what you have already. In general I lean towards effects pedals, because I don't really like modeling amps. A lot of the cheaper ones sound too digital (well, same with low-quality pedals, too). I use my amp just for being an amp, and run my pedal straight through it.
Here's my "classic rock overdrive" K-ON setting for a Zoom G1XN pedal, which I use for all the insert songs as well as songs such as Guitar ni Kubittake or Houkago Tea Time. For convenience of people using different equipment I've given the maximum values too.
Boost effect: 5 (out of 9)
Gain: 30 (out of 30)
Amp model: Marshall JCM2000
EQ: 3/3/3 (range -18 to 18)
Chorus: 1 (out of 9) rate 15 (out of 50)
Delay 1 (out of 9) value 50 ms
Reverb: Arena, 2 (out of 9)
Here's my "distortion" K-ON setting. I would use this for songs like Don't say lazy, Over the Starlight, or Singing.
Compressor effect: 6 (out of 9)
Gain: 30 (out of 30)
Amp model: Diezel Herbert
EQ: -6/11/6 (range -18 to 18)
Reverb: Tiled room, 5 (out of 9)
I'll see about getting some example sounds up if I can figure out a good recording setup.

ok, thanks you guys. i guess i'll take CaptnAwesomee's advise, and move this discussion to the musical instruments thread...click here... (http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?p=3856829#post3856829)
but, better amp, or better multi-guitar effects?

Go try some out at a guitar shop. Give the Vypyr and the Vox VT20 a try and then try out some pedals. I'd stay away from Line 6 amps though as I think they make every guitar sound the same :P
But yeah, back on topic now.
