Speculation is allowed here too. I'm eager to find out what the bond is between Clare and the merging sisters, should be fun. Hopefully we don't get jumped to another part of the story this chapter.

Claire has been pulled inside the sisters mind. Inside she find a creature of pure hunger. Claire cannot let this creature escape. However she also hears crying children behind it. Claire resolves to rescue the children, but is overpowered. Before she can be killed Teresea appears and saves her.
"Don't worry Claire. In this place I can still help you save them."

Well, we can assume all the ideas concerning the development of the past chapter were exploited..So while waiting for the next chapter to come out we can at least make some assumptions about the "funny" spoilers that shall start floating around in these days :rolleyes: Wich is actually nice because personally, I have no idea in what is going to happen in the next chapter; especially with all the Claire-Raciella relationship :confused:

I hope in the next chapter we'll find out what exactly is up with Clare & her headaches. Even if it is her "inner Teresa" speaking, limiting it to a headache is not very flattering.

This might not happen, but I'm hoping Clare finds some way to wake Raciella up.

Hell, I was ripping of Naruto when i wrote that spoiler. Come to think of it, there was a time when you could tell that a One Piece spoiler was fake because someone randomly showed up. But not anymore. Anyways, to make it clear, the above spoiler is fake, I made it, it was done as a fun little execise, and I hope everyone notices that it says it's fake in it.

To answer the question - no. 91 was closed because the first few responses were one liners about being first, or requesting raws. Some anger was directed at the person who created the thread because they only saw a closed thread, and not the reasons behind it.

Plain, simple, and to the point - I don't want to see discussion about anything other than the latest chapter. This can be speculation, spoilers (no matter how ludicrous), actual information, theories, whatever. The minute I see requests or links for licensed content or the discussion going in a direction that is *not* Chapter 92 related, expect me to be grumpy. We know off topic is sometimes unavoidable, but thread derailing is not tolerated.

These threads go up as a courtesy for fans of Claymore, and we know that there is often information to discuss before the actual release so we try to get the threads open early. However we can very well opt not to create a new thread until after the official release if people choose to ignore very simple and basic rules of courtesy.

That's the rumor going on around about that on the other claymore fan sites. I've seen several, ahem, "spoilers", if you can call them that. They all look highly questionable, since the sources refused to provide the link to where they found all of the stuff.

Version 1 spoiler

Claire is drawn in to Rafaela due to being a "dual-claymore" (her body is genetically made up of not one but two Claymores-Irene & Teresa) , who is similar. The bodies begin to move as Claire makes an unusual soul link to the merged remains. Of course, she discovers that this is a rather painful experience.

Meanwhile...Renee is about to be caught by Riful when out of nowhere Alicia swoops in to attack with Beth taking Renee away. Of course, given their small thinking ability, they forget to tell Renee to stop moving around the Abyss Feeders. Instead of going after Riful, one of them decides that a frantically moving Renee seems much more worth attacking. She runs for it but it doesn't look good...

Back at the castle, the body is merging in a blaze of light as Claire struggles to maintain her consciousness. Unfortunately, Dauf happens upon the scene right at chapter end and fires a rod at Claire's head...

Version 2 (my personal favorite) "Dogs barking up the wrong tree" (You'll see why I call it that)

Claire is being drawn in by the powerful sub-conscious impulses of "Raciella's" mind, which has been looking for someone similar and familiar to itself. Since Claire's yoki is made up of not one but two claymores that Rafaela personally knew, the mind decides to use Claire to free itself from its comatose state. To do so, Raciella forces Claire into a "soul link" with itself.

Meanwhile, Riful is rapidly catching up to Renee. Eventually Renee runs out of options and is captured in a less than gentle manner by Riful. True to Riful's nature, she relishes taunting her subject for a moment. She begins to torture Renee when Alicia and Beth show up, and Riful is shocked to see them. It lasts but a moment as Alicia begins her transformation and attacks...

Claire meanwhile is almost unconscious, and unfortunately, is at the wrong place at the wrong time. Dauf has returned to the castle to quickly check upon the "prize" when he feels the weird yoki bouncing around. He goes downstairs and finds Claire and attempts to kill her. However, just as he does so, an Abyss Feeder attacks him. As it turns out, since they can't detect yoki, Alicia and Beth left them once they detected Riful's yoki. They however continued on to Riful's lair, where her strongest scent lingered. There is a momentary three-way pause in battle...Chapter end

Version 3 (unlikely in my estimation due to lack of danger to Claire)

Claire forms a soul link with the remains of Raciella, which is attracted to the familiar yoki of Teresa and Irene. Essentially she's being controlled as the thing begins to awaken, merge and move...

Riful catches Renee, and is about to finish her off when Alicia intervenes and Riful lets her go. Riful is shocked to see the claymore transform, but only momentarily. They start going at it just as the Abyss Feeders show up. They also attack, but one of them is smashed by a fully awakened Dauf.

Back at the castle...

Claire's head is aching like hell when a being emerges out of a blinding swirl of yoki and light. Claire can't believe her eyes...

All of them are basically the same thing with only a few differences. However, for both Version 1 and 2, why is Dauf back at the castle? Shouldn't he be with Riful? She never ordered him to go back, only that he couldn't catch up. No reason to assume he would just turn around and leave her.

Yes, but they are theories, not spoilers. If you want my theory on it, Raciella is soul linking with Claire. It makes sense considering that Luciela and Raphaela were trained to perform the soul link and that Claire could synchronize her youki with Jean, twice, while one of them was almost fully awakened; I would rank that as fairly close to a soul link between heterogeneous people. Soul link is also the only "link" we know where one person has youki fully suppressed.

Spoilers are when people who've gotten their hands on copies of the next chapter early start telling us what happens in the chapter. That's a spoiler. A theory is when someone guesses what will be in the next chapter.

Also, you'd be surprised how random talking about what people think is going to happen is. People always sneak in some crackpot theories.

TV Tropes (http://www.tvtropes.org/) has issues with naming their tropes in ways people can actually understand what it's about. That's not always the case and it's gotten a fair bit better now, but a lot of tropes have really arcane names. The first time I visited TV Tropes on an article, I must've clicked some thirty links just to figure out what they were going on about. Wild mass guessing is pretty accurate for what we see here, though.

Yep. He didn't save Flora or Undine or other "B-level/semi-important" characters around when he was more interested in using them or it was more convenient. Nope, he cut off their arms and sliced them in half.

In other words, I'm not pushing my luck in ever seeing Irene again. Kind of was a possibility with the "Demon", but after nothing happened with that, gotta accept it: she's just not coming back.

Not that I'm really complaining, never was crazy about her to begin with, and she already lives on in Clare's right arm.

Well Stream, I did say they were all highly questionable, given the lack of sourcing. But at the moment it's the best I can do to get the conversation going forward. It is unusual though, to not see more spoilers by now, no?

The one thing everyone seems to be agreeing on is that Claire is in some sort of soul link with "Raciella". That I think we can safely assume as you just theorized Stream.

Personally, I expect two things from the coming chapter:

Dauf and Riful to remain together and fight the twins

Claire/Raciella to be discovered by Abyss Feeders

Everything else seems to be more up in the air to me. Well, except Renee dying. That cannot happen for story purposes I believe...

Except Irene died an on-screen death before she was brought back for a rainy day. This time she died an off-screen death and still has an unresolved plot thread (Clare going to return the arm). I'm not saying "Irene lives" but the possibility is out there.

Maybe they take part in the battle because Riful's scrumptious flesh is so close, but that was not intentional, and considering how "remote-controlled" the AE's are, I see no reason why they would disobey their orders.

I don't know how much control the org is supposed to have over the AE's but the way i see it, is if they have very little they are going to use them as sacrificial trackers, their combat potential against Riful not being counted even though they attack.

Sleepy, a possible strategy is that the Abyssal Eaters are the first wave against Riful to wear her down and that Alicia and Beth will step in after that to finish her.

Well, i'm not saying the AE's couldn't damage Riful, only that they are now sacrificial, after Riful is gone there won't be an Abyssals for them to eat, and regular Awakened can be hunted out by claymore teams. Better for the org to have them all die in wearing Riful down even a fraction before Alicia steps in. Which is why i think the next chapter will have a Riful vs AE's battle not a Riful vs Alicia battle.

And i'm also still opting for the Teresa is controlling Clare over the Raphealla is controlling Clare option because Clare has been exposed to yoki manipulation before, she wouldn't let it happen, and as far as i'm aware as i said in the 91 thread only the controller in a soul link has a suppressed yoki, so it may be impossible for anyone to attempt manipulating Clare considering Galatea couldn't even see her when she was in front of her (using yoki, she's blind obviously).

Their's no reason NOT for them to help Alicia and fight, they already have the element of surprise, but if the Staff members say they won't, then they won't. Control is what they care about above all else and now they have brainless creatures that are "hard-wired" to obey certain directives, like returning to base immidiately when more then half is killed. In other words, they're like robotic rabid dogs; Mangy and slobbery, but under their thumb.

If that is the real spoiler, aparently there is nothing HUGE that will happen in this chapter. The only aspect I find interesting is about Duff defeating all the abbys feeders by himself. Well, we can tell he wasn't their primal target nor they were used to his fight-style, so there's nothing wrong about it..I really would like if we can enjoy an epic battle once again, since there's has been a long time since we had one :) And is no doubt in my mind that Alicia-Beth vs Riful is going to be one :D

Perhaps the chapter ends with the encounter between our three beloved ladies about to torn their dresses to shreds ;)

That's the rumor going on around about that on the other claymore fan sites. I've seen several, ahem, "spoilers", if you can call them that. They all look highly questionable, since the sources refused to provide the link to where they found all of the stuff.

Version 1 spoiler

Claire is drawn in to Rafaela due to being a "dual-claymore" (her body is genetically made up of not one but two Claymores-Irene & Teresa) , who is similar. The bodies begin to move as Claire makes an unusual soul link to the merged remains. Of course, she discovers that this is a rather painful experience.

Meanwhile...Renee is about to be caught by Riful when out of nowhere Alicia swoops in to attack with Beth taking Renee away. Of course, given their small thinking ability, they forget to tell Renee to stop moving around the Abyss Feeders. Instead of going after Riful, one of them decides that a frantically moving Renee seems much more worth attacking. She runs for it but it doesn't look good...

Back at the castle, the body is merging in a blaze of light as Claire struggles to maintain her consciousness. Unfortunately, Dauf happens upon the scene right at chapter end and fires a rod at Claire's head...

Version 2 (my personal favorite) "Dogs barking up the wrong tree" (You'll see why I call it that)

Claire is being drawn in by the powerful sub-conscious impulses of "Raciella's" mind, which has been looking for someone similar and familiar to itself. Since Claire's yoki is made up of not one but two claymores that Rafaela personally knew, the mind decides to use Claire to free itself from its comatose state. To do so, Raciella forces Claire into a "soul link" with itself.

Meanwhile, Riful is rapidly catching up to Renee. Eventually Renee runs out of options and is captured in a less than gentle manner by Riful. True to Riful's nature, she relishes taunting her subject for a moment. She begins to torture Renee when Alicia and Beth show up, and Riful is shocked to see them. It lasts but a moment as Alicia begins her transformation and attacks...

Claire meanwhile is almost unconscious, and unfortunately, is at the wrong place at the wrong time. Dauf has returned to the castle to quickly check upon the "prize" when he feels the weird yoki bouncing around. He goes downstairs and finds Claire and attempts to kill her. However, just as he does so, an Abyss Feeder attacks him. As it turns out, since they can't detect yoki, Alicia and Beth left them once they detected Riful's yoki. They however continued on to Riful's lair, where her strongest scent lingered. There is a momentary three-way pause in battle...Chapter end

Version 3 (unlikely in my estimation due to lack of danger to Claire)

Claire forms a soul link with the remains of Raciella, which is attracted to the familiar yoki of Teresa and Irene. Essentially she's being controlled as the thing begins to awaken, merge and move...

Riful catches Renee, and is about to finish her off when Alicia intervenes and Riful lets her go. Riful is shocked to see the claymore transform, but only momentarily. They start going at it just as the Abyss Feeders show up. They also attack, but one of them is smashed by a fully awakened Dauf.

Back at the castle...

Claire's head is aching like hell when a being emerges out of a blinding swirl of yoki and light. Claire can't believe her eyes...

All those three are the same.. Which makes me think that it will be completely differeny since Yagi always likes to surprise...

No they are not, they have small but distinct differences, Dauf's location for example. But yes, they are mostly the same.

I doubt it, I have a good feeling this time that the chapter will be along the lines of one of the three, or at least something similar. Sure, surprises are good, but things like Alicia's arrival, or Renee telling Claire about Raki, have been in motion for too long for him to ignore much longer.

Why not?

If anything, he and Riful are the perfect ones in the entire Claymore world(unless Priscilla I guess, for her overwhelming yoki and flight)
to fight the AE's because of their close-to-medium range combat. Isley was just too long-range oriented to fight them.
Riful's tentacles can easily tear them all to shreds, especialy since she's at full power and not weakened from constant battles
like Isley was. She's sure to pick up quickly that you have to aim for the head, she's not stupid.

And if anything, Dauf might even be better. It's hard to say if Isley's Abyssal flesh was more durable, but their is a very good
chance Dauf's armor is harder, especially if he can withstand Riful. His close-quarter brute strength and armor actually
makes him perhaps even more ideal to fight them. Perhaps they mutate themselves some sort of blades that can penetrate them,
but we have yet to see powerful strength coming from these guys. After all, it was Isley who destroyed all those towns through
collateral, not the AE's

In short, those two aren't gonna have trouble whatsoever, even if this is there first time. Yagi may surprise us by giving them
an even bigger edge(bodily mutations may lead to great creativity. Perhaps ramming straight through Riful's body and knocking her
down, like the Ghosts did to Agatha), but I think these guys have enough advantages as it is(If they ever meet Awakened Priscilla, and evolve and get wings, they are invincible. I can't see how they get any stronger then that)...not to mention I'm still not convinced
they are going to do any fighting anyway.

Pity, I've said this already, but I was sort of hoping the idea would hit Miria to join hands with Riful. An Abyssal is the perfect ally and the ever-growing strength of the AE's shows they need eachother; they don't HAVE to like eachother or even trust eachother, but they both need all the help they can get. Sides', Riful can finally have her friends XD

Good grief, I didn't think of that.

Their's a very, very good chance. After all, Riful was the only person to sense Alicia when she tried to detect her energies after the first battle with Dauf way back when, not even Galatea could at the time(well, she may have, but she said nothing about it at the time).

Riful truly has amazing suppression and detection skills, even if she doesn't show them off all the time. Renee, the current Eye(who I believe isn't as good as Tabitha or Galatea, if only because I don't like her as much XD) couldn't sense Riful until it was too late. It's hard to say with her focusing all her energy on catching Renee, but I say...more then 50% that she's going to at least feel her coming, unless Alicia has been improved in suppression.

Doesn't matter because so is Riful; all she ever got was one brief scan of her outer-layer yoki. And with the handicap that is Beth; I said it once, I said it a million times, Alicia is going down.

Dauf may be incinerated, Riful may be weak and helpless(and probably die shortly after), but their is no way in hell Alicia's winning this fight and still breathing, assuming she wins at all.

Escape....IS always an option. Perhaps she hurries back to her castle to somehow Awaken Raciella herself, but is it worth it? After all, The AE's will chase her down where-ever she chooses to run. If they discover Raciella, all her hard work is finished. If she runs in another direction, they'll probably discover her anyway. Besides, Riful will then AGAIN have to find another new lair, and I doubt their are anymore ruined castles just lying around in the west.

I would say you're right: Pride means little to her over her own survival, she's too fickle and childish for things like that, and she KNOWS when to act serious(Getting angry with Dauf awakening inside the castle for example). Riful, despite her way of acting, is quite intelligent. She's like an adult who acts childish rather then the other way around. Remember, she's alot older then she looks, she's got experience.

You can say it was Pride when she angrily went looking for Claire; she got rejected twice, once after giving information only to be backsassed as well as losing her prey(Audrey and Rachel), but I don't think "pride" is the right word. More like, she got her feelings hurt and is just getting ticked off with her plans failing again and again when the Silver King had his own army, Priscilla and even an apprentice and miniature family. No wonder she personally captured Renee, she was tired of leaving it up to moronic lackeys like Dauf.

Not sure what you're trying to say, but yes, Priscilla should have no trouble with them, she can just swoop in and chop off their heads. It isn't until they adapt and grow wings that they are truly invincible, but I don't think Yagi will go that far.

They haven't adapted to Riful yet either, they are going to get clobbered if they try to fight.

XD oh....well, that's really the strategy for ANY opponent :heh:, don't know anything that can still fight without a head, other then those IG-Series MagnaGuards from Star Wars.

Still, it's the taking off the head part that's tricky :heh:, especially when she can, you know, rip half your body off in an instant XD. Her immersureable yoki makes her virtually invincible, she can just keep healing and healing, even if it's not forever like the AE's. Isley wouldn't have killed Priscilla anyway if he could, even if she wasn't unstable: he knows talent when he sees it, he would have let her live if she agreed to serve under him.

Well, it wouldn't matter anyway. The only true way to finish them off, once and for all, is to find their hidden R&D facility which generates them(obviously it's not the Staff HQ, too obvious) and take it out. It will probably be actually Rubel who does that part, since the AE's are probably a real threat to him and his mission.

Nobody should be chopping off her head now anyway, she hasn't redeemed herself yet which is the direction she's heading.

IMO yagi prepares us for theresa's "rebirth" since the appearance of the pic of the twin goddess. The soul link, the mind merging of the abyssal feaders and raciella are alle hints. IMO it is not a question if theresa will in some way actively influence the story but when and how she does.

What do you mean by "rebirth"? What do you think is going to happen?

I DO believe Teresa is "alive" in a sense that it's her power that's been helping Claire in her fiercest encounters. She's already been influencing Claire since she started. I DON't however like the idea that Teresa is somehow going to "come back to life".

I don't really think about the song at all however, since I can't understand the lyrics and it's a part of the anime which don't consider at all.

I have no idea what will exactly happen. Yagi can be very suprising.
But a few wild theorys of me are:

1. Clare and theresa will merge to a different person like the AFs merge their mind(solidly based on the manga)
2. Theresa will help clare with her memorys and power.(solid)
3. Clare and theresa will be disconnected to different entitys. (not that solid)
4. Theresa takes over. (could happen but who wants it to happen)
5. Clare and theresa will be reborn as a being of pure yoki (when this would happen the manga would be over)
...

I preferre 1. but who knows what could happen
I thought about the half awakening, too. Perhaps it changes the yoki in such a way that at the end the claymore can awaken at will and doesn't have to eat guts anymore. What's for sure is that it makes the yoki more controllable and allows techniques who normally can only used when near 80%. IMO the half - awakening will be the key element for clare to connect with teresa. IMO the half-awkening let the human heart control the yoki without all those nasty side effects like confusing the town's population with a private snack bar. Perhaps better spoken, it makes the yo ki to ki.

Something else. What did clare drove to riful's lair? Raciella was to far away i think.

When it comes to Japanese songs, the only thing I can really enjoy is the melody because I can't understand the lyrics. Doesn't matter anyone since I usually just make up my own and actually prefer not to.

Out of all the theories you posted, the only one I like is Number 2. Why is Teresa so important that she must somehow return? Claire should remain Claire, and continue the way she has until now: using Teresa's power to help her. I simply don't like the idea of Claire changing so drastically or Teresa being "reborn". In this case, I just prefer it that the dead, remain dead.

I think I just had the same conversation a little while ago, but Irene's death actually came off as dramatic for me. It was sort of like Obi-Wan disappearing under Vader's saber; we didn't actually "see" him die, but it was dramatic nevertheless.

Whenever a character seems to give what makes them unique to Claire to help her, they die shortly after. Flora died shortly after giving her Windcutter, despite her still being a great character. Irene really did have her big moment: explaining her feelings surrounding Teresa and Claire and passing on her right arm; in that sense, like Teresa, she lives on.

Aside from the fact she was content with her life and is armless, how could she fight much less escape from Raphaela? It's been so long since we've seen Irene. It was sort of a possbility she was a "Demon" but I think we all need to accept she's gone. Not sure how else she can contribute to the story.

I still believe however that, that curly-haired girl Claire talked to asking for Raki, ended up being Dietrich. That'll be an interesting revelation.

No, i don't think that it is the popularity alone. IMO the merging of the sisters and clare's involvement does not happen by chance. Yagi trys to lead us to the teresa clare duality thematic. If we now take the "twin goddess" theme into account we could get something out like the holy trinity. I personally find the idea good and inventive. It does not ruin the story because i think it was the story from the begining.

I think that Raphaela might have something to say about Teresa too. As for what happened with Irene, she could have just tricked everyone by dropping her yoki or something like that. She was standing on what looked like a cliff edge, she could have jumped off making it look like suicide and could have dropped her yoki to make it seem like she was dead and Raphaela would leave. Raphaela might have just thought that, and might have left.

I don't think Irene lost the will to live, seeing Clare and training her made her want to live and wait for Clare's return. Thing is Irene already said she was afraid of death. I think Irene somehow made a deal with Raphaela, and Raphaela probably made Irene drop her yoki after so that it would seem like Raphaela killed her, if anyone was paying attention to them like Galatea or someone else that is good at feeling yoki.

I think Luci is dead, and the only thing keeping her alive is Raphy's yoki. Once Clare separates them Luci will be dead. Well that's what I think will happen, but what you said would be cool to happen too.;)

No way. It feels that way because everyone has very good ideas about what's probably going to happen. The Helen/Deneve/Isley chapters with Dietrich and the AE's were definitely more anticipated because nobody knew what was going to happen.

What on earth makes Claire boring? What, was it because Teresa was sarcastic and said "aye aye boss" that made her so much more appealing and cool? She HAS personality, she HAS emotions. She just isn't so outward about them like Teresa was or Helen is.

She's like Deneve; she's a whirlwind of bubbling emotion hidden under a stoic mask(in fact, Irene said the same thing). Her life has been a tragic one ever since she lost her parents and, for a long while, her voice. She's no samaritan like Cynthia, but despite her life-long quest for revenge and her attempts to have nothing else in her life, the black sheep of the Ghosts is a good person. She is selfish, but feels for her comrades. She disapproves of unwanted relationships(like Teresa) and wants nothing more with her life but to kill Priscilla, but when they are thrusted at her and they creep into the heart she's tried as much as possible to hide and protect from heartbreak again, she defends them with all she has. And when she loses the people who gave it all for her, she cries for them, even if she gets kicked in the face. She is quiet, but boiling with an uncontrollable drive. She doesn't say much, but she isn't stupid. She doesn't show off, but she has the strongest potential. She was No.47, but tried to attack an Abyssal and defeated single-digits time and time again.

What makes her "uninteresting" is that she doesn't go "Wha-Eva Wha-Eva, I do what I want!" like Helen. She isn't an open-book; she doesn't drink at the bar with the boys and tells others to lighten up. she requires a bit more thought to understand who she is. Honestly, Claire has so many facets to her character, for crying out loud, I can't imagine how anybody can call her boring.

Calling her boring is like calling Agatha deep and philosophical, or being mezmerized by Dauf's unrivaled intellect. It's just...what? :heh:

Exactly, they'll be amazed at Claire's "transformation". She sticks out like a sore thumb with the Ghosts because she just doesn't care. Like I said, she does feel for her comrades and wants to make up for what happened at Pieta, but she isn't "tactical" like Miria. She isn't UNDER Miria like everyone else. Notice how after the duel with Miria, Clare was the only person who didn't say anything, whereas the others fully said they wanted to stay with her and avenge their comrades. It's no wonder why she's so frustrated when the others try to follow her. She feels obligated to help the Ghosts after all they've been through, but she wants more then anything to just leave and go find Raki now. She knows it's more "logical", helpful and better for survival to put her mind before her heart in a world dead set against them, and god knows she certainly has tried, but she just isn't that kind of person. Claire acts on instinct and is completely straight-forward. She always does what feels right at the moment, even if the answer means cutting off Yuma's leg to escape, or awakening her legs to combat Rigardo, or using all her strength to break Ophelia's grip to save Raki. she's like a female Anakin Skywalker XD

Claire is with the others because that's who's she's stuck with. Sure, I'm sure she considers them her friends, but even that's stretching it. Perhaps "long-term acquaitences" is better. Nothing replaces the people that have truly touched her heart. Needless to say, Claire doesn't smile often, but she'll probably be doing a lot more then that when she finds him which will probably send everyone into shock :heh:

Tell me about it, it's certainly possible all right, but it feels like this monumental waste. I mean, after all that's happened to Raphaela and Luciella, the revelation of their fusion unlike anything seen before, THIS is what happens? they ask for death?

But what really boggles my mind is Dauf. I said that the AE's weren't gonna fight like crazy, and though I admitted the possiblity was still there which everyone else seemed to have, attacking Dauf seems pointless for them. Their quary is Riful, not him. Perhaps they smell Riful's scent off of him, but that still doesn't answer why they somehow got to him FIRST. Dauf's current location was sort of left in the air last chapter, but he presumably left with Riful. Unless she didn't take him with her in her super-speed teleport like she did last time escaping Clare, Galatea and Jean, he should actually be far behind. How the heck did that slow-poke actually get ahead of Riful, meet the AE's, and die before the Abyssal One of the West finally reached him?! :confused:

It's funny; I have no interest of Dauf whatsoever and he's definitely the next one to go, but I can't deny that this really is his fight. He's got wide open spaces, he's basically at full strength etc. He really should have all the advantages. Even if they do finish him off, he should be able to take down a good amount of them. His tiny finger-rods are the perfect weapon for far away, and his massive fists will finish the job.

I just don't know...all this just seems fishy.

It depends on weather or not Dauf attacks the AE's frist I think they'd more than likely leave him alone if he did nothing but we all know how stupid he is, he'll attack them on sight and as seen from Helen and Deneve the AE's will defend themselfs.

Edit:I doubt Dauf will be able kill the AE's in all the fights we've seen him in he's only used blunt projectile weapons and his fists so he can't cut there heads off so that means his only way of killing them is hitting there heads with enough power to tear them off, to be frank I don't think he's fast enough to catch or hit them.

So what if he can't cut off there heads? He doesn't have to. That was the biggest problem with Isley in my opinion, he was just too darn precise. You don't need to be. Who cares if the body is splattered to smithereens along with the head? Dauf can just squash them to pieces with his hands like he does with the Yoma in the castle tunnels or use his rod projectile. Why is the head of the AE so critically important that you have to target only that? if that's their only weakness, I dare say cut off their legs first so they can't run. It's more of an effort to try to have bullseye accuracy in hitting their heads when Dauf can just take the easy way out and sit on them.

But yes, what makes the AE's so frustrating is that they take the experience they learn from each battle, and if that carries over to other new AE's that are generated, then Dauf is going to be fighting Isley-seasoned AE's that have enough speed to dodge the strongest Abyssal One......hmm, perhaps I overestimated Dauf's chances. Still, if he's able to wipe out a good portion of them, I may actually give him some credit, considering Isley only apparantely killed three or so.

Honestly though, I used to defend the AE's but I think I may also join the crowd in saying Yagi gave the AE's too many advantages. This whole RPG experience-gaining thing is bad enough, but if other freshly-grown AE's automatically have the same experience as well, it's downright unfair. Rubel better hurry up :mad:

Let me clarify that i'm no Teresa fan, ask chibamonster or whoever is running that fanclub, but still i'd much rather take the option that Clare was being internally manipulated by Teresa than externally manipulated by Raphealla/Luciella simply because such manipulation requires alignment that Clare can recognise and has in the past defended against. Not to mention the fact that Galatea can't even sense the ghosts with yoki, yet alone align with them as a result.

It's been a long time coming, but Clare has always had tones of Teresa's personality, the cold front, the indifference, the rudeness with the handler, the trashtalk with other claymores etc. Whether all this facade is intentional or not though is hard to say, since what she's hiding is perhaps worse. Her own personality in combat is that of an unrelenting beserker, which only comes to the fore when she's truly challenged. And she will do almost anything to win, even before it gets to that stage.

I mean Clare even has a skill (inherited) that only named defensive claymores have, when it's obvious to the likes of Ophelia that she's an offensive claymore.
Cynthia, Renee, Galatea, Tabitha (all yoki sensors all defensive claymores). And considering she could barely sense anything before Teresa's awakening inside her, i'd say that's a dead giveaway that something more is going on. (Clare was 'smelling' yoma out for the most part)

None of this is known to any of the ghosts, but the pieces are starting to fall around her, Cynthia looks like she's been taking notes, and had a handle on exactly what Clare was upto. It may not seem important, but the very weapon the org wants to create is running around under their noses. The real crap is gonna hit the fan when people start realising 'what' she actually is.

being the protagonist doesn't automatically make you an interesting character. Jean, Teresa, Miria, Deneve, Helen just to name a few are far more interesting characters to me. Clare just conceals herself too much and appears to be an uninteresting character. she needs to start expressing herself more clearly in order to bring all her complex character traits together in order to be a truly facination character to me.

Riful and Dauf are chasing after Renee as she escapes from Dauf. But it seems her wounds are reopening as she runs like hell for safety. It seems Riful catches Renee, and is holding her floating in mid-air when they notice that they're surrounded by 20 Abyss Feeders.

Dauf is either attacked and wiped out or out of breath. I'm going with the second, since he's a slow fella. He's trying to get to Riful as we change scenes...

Claire's work is causing a fusion of the body, and they no long look like two individuals but one individual with multiple parts.

As far as I can see, there is no "floating in mid-air" in the spoiler. It seems that Renee leads Daff and Riful to the Abyss Feeders and Ali-Beth. I do wonder why Riful smiles after encountering with Ali-Beth.

Again, "two individuals but one individual with multiple parts" is not in the spoiler. It says that Clare is kind of exhausted from defending agaist Raciela's mental attacks. Raciela's body starts to gradually move and changing( not sure caused by clare or not).

It also seems like Duff's the first one to reach Renée and not Riful. Again something I wouldn't have imagined since Duff saw her escape and the direction she took. Riful could have easily followed his yoki's signature and then Renée would have been in her sight and she's way faster than Duff.

And according to the Org council, the AFs only had to accompany Alicia and Beth! Yet there are 20 of them ... maybe due to Riful's particular awakened body. Or could also be that they lied to Louvre on purpose ...?!

I have to admit thar Riful smiling to Alicia and Beth is somewhat intriguing. Ah, the loli's always happy to meet new people.

It's that time of the month where all the previously unanswered questions resurface and pulse in your head and you want some of them answered. Where is everybody? Are Tabitha and Miria still in Rabona? When are they going to decide to move, intervene? Will Helen and Deneve reach Cynthia and Yuma ? Can Helen and Deneve be detected by Riful and Duff now that they have releaded their yokis ( well, no more worries about this one since Alicia, Beth and the AFs are going to find the abyssal of the west and her fiancé first ) ? And will Cynthia be able to regenerate Yuma's leg as well as Helen's eye at the same time? Are we ever going to find out about Irene's fate from Luciela-Rafaela? Has Dietrich omitted voluntarily the fact that the AFs react to movements ( to Miria and co. -- it's something I don't think Deneve might have forgotten about )?

Hmm, so is Raciella that has and is mental attacking and has lead Clare there and not "someone else" inside Clare ?

Well I was trying to make sense of it. The english translation can be interpreted different ways, though I bet you have a better idea of what it should actually say than I do.

On the smiling part, I think she does so because she realizes (mistakenly) that they will pay for this with Isley coming after them. Or perhaps she's been looking forward to the fight for a long time.

Well i was mostly laughing at the misinterpretation of staring into the abyss, because luciella was an abyssal one, so peeking at her and raphealla merged together would be technically staring into the abyss.

As for claymore as a whole, i'd say it follows the 'be careful when you fight the monsters lest you become one' theme, and Clare is pretty much an example of the overman.

but i don't really pay much attention to the anime anymore, since i hate the ending. But i always love to find the differences between the anime version and manga version. for example, in episode 4, Cid didn't kiss Clare! he was supposed to! :(

honestly though, i hope that somehow they'd create a second season and make it flow so that it is the same as the manga in the end. it'd be really exciting to watch all those chapters from 65 onwards, animated!

I think these were the ways Yagi had to correct things he didn't like on his manga.

So, they are using Rubel to undermine the Org from the inside and slowly, yet surely, use the ABs to destroy the Org so that they wouldn't try the same strategy twice.
If we think about, Alicia and Luciela are the Org's most important projects. If Raciella ends up killing Beth and make Alicia go berserk and if the two togheter kill Riful and destroy the Org, then Rubel's plans would have come to a fruition.

but i don't really pay much attention to the anime anymore, since i hate the ending. But i always love to find the differences between the anime version and manga version. for example, in episode 4, Cid didn't kiss Clare! he was supposed to! :(

honestly though, i hope that somehow they'd create a second season and make it flow so that it is the same as the manga in the end. it'd be really exciting to watch all those chapters from 65 onwards, animated!

Oh I know the feeling.. In the anime it's very irritating seeing a man/boy crying and telling Clare to forget her revenge. True revenge is not good, but what's the point? Clare already embrace that part being stained by evil. LOL He's basically telling Clare to forget about her whole existence and being a warrior. He wasn't very manly to me. At least he's very different in the manga, still, I'm not a Raki fan.

I don't know why but every time I think about this I can't but picture a Vulcan mind-meld between Clare and Rafaela ... :twitch: should be the pointy years, I guess. :heh: Great, now I'm even imagining things.

The whole war ( still ongoing or not ) on the continent scenario has got to be true otherwise Yagi-sensei wouldn't have spent so much time drawing all the soldiers and DODs only to give us a mental image of what Miria might have thought after or while Rubel told her about it. A few chapters from now would be the right time to introduce something about the continent. I mean, Miria is smart and you can't deceive her more than once. Why does Priscilla care? Does she sense Teresa/Clare over there? or is she just curious? We'll have to see the actual conversation, but this really isn't making much sense.

But god, Yagi really IS going for total anarchy. Riful and Dauf, Alicia and the AE's, All the Ghosts, AND Raki and Priscilla?! Why doesn't he just unleash the Dragon's too?! :heh::twitch::eyespin:

My only disappointment reading this however is that there doesn't seem to be an actual battle. The AE's just show up and we never see what happens yet. I guess with all the crazy stuff that happens, the quota of 20 or so pages is already filled.

It seems fairly believable to me. Even if this is an "exposition" chapter, it does handle a lot of the plot threads in a way that's rather like Yagi.

Mess around with it JB.

Mess with the settings, the graphics, everything. If after a million tries, it doesn't work, go to another emulator like DeSuME or iDeas.

DS emulation just isn't there yet, and even if it was, you need a good computer as well. Not to mention, some roms just aren't
compatible for various reasons; Really good 3D-heavy games for example are nigh-impossible because theirs too much.

Maybe he's not, but that's just how I feel. I guess when you look back, the Abyssal's have been around for awhile. I guess i just expected much more from them; I mean, out of the blue, Isley's dead, and in a few chapters, probably Riful.

Nothing really complicated about the spoilers; most people predicted what was going to happen for the most part. The only things that really stands out, in fact, that nobody predicted was Irene's flashback(since we haven't seen or heard anything about Irene since she gave Claire her arm), no Alicia/AE battle this month, and Raki/Priscilla suddenly popping up.

Thankfully however, Yagi's never forgotten time-constraints. Even if Priscilla says she wants to go West all of a sudden, they aren't going to meet with Claire immidiately, they do have to GET there(in other words, walk). Alicia was unleashed back in chapter 89 and she hadn't gotten there next chapter, despite a fake spoiler at the time saying so(and Riful went into 100x battle mode 0_o) which both scared and extremely annoyed me.

AmoreDoll, it happens. The real problem with the last one wasn't that it was 25 pages though. The chapter where Helen fought Isley, for instance, was only 24 pages, but we weren't as bothered. That's because in the last chapter all we saw was Claire entering and Renee escaping, so there was very little that happened So a lot of us felt like "Wait... that's it? I was expecting... more." In the chapter where Helen fought Isley, on the other hand, there was a lot going on, so even though it was 24 pages, it felt much more like a proper chapter.

The spoiler is pretty confusing but here's what I got out of it

Clare was travelling with Jean(yes Jean) in the forest when Rafaela appeared, Clare attacks with Windcutter(huh?), and Rafaela dies(O.o)...
Then Clare wakes up and realizes she is inside the sister's mind.
Rafaela appears again and tells Clare that she has made a grave mistake, it is too late wait till their body to awake to tell Clare the details that she has to feel the message thru her body.
Clare releases her yoki and uses quicksword, Rafaela then leaves Clare with all her memories and emotions before she fades away.:twitch::eyespin:
Meanwhile, almost everyone who is remotely close(to where Clare is), ie Cythina/Yuma, Riful, Alicia/Beth, Helen/Devene, Raki/Priscilla has felt the emerge of a new great yoki.

It is clare's yoki because she killed raciella. As far as i understood it raciella wanted clare to do it.

I've already speculated, that Raciella will give Clare a power up and die, so that spoiler looks true to me too. Also Renee is not mentioned in spoiler, she is on pills, so she couldn't sense yoki burst. If that spoiler is true I think we will see DoDs sooner than we suspected. If Clare needs such large power up, some extremly strong enemy must be coming up.

I think Raciella was trying to stop the awakening of the sisters, but failed because of Clare. So she gave whatever she had left to Clare and awakened with Luciela.

It seems like Raphael has been fighting to stop the body from awakening for the last 7 years and from what I can understand Claire's senseing disturbed the balance and caused the AB side to wake up.

It's not really a route I prefer: I still prefer the emergence of a brand new character rather then just Claire getting even more power, but I suppose it makes sense enough: Claire has been getting gifts ever since Teresa was put inside her. The real question is, just how much power is Raciella giving her? Even if she gives her half - That's still power equal to an Abyssal One. Even if it's smaller, with the amount of power and potential Claire already has, Claire is either going to be borderline or well into Abyssal territory. Shoot, you probably can call her an Abyssal already(assuming it's true).

But I'm still confused, I need this answered straight out: Is Raciella still alive?, did she just give some of her power and awakened regardless, or gave some of her power and die completely? Because I'm gonna be disappointed if it's the latter.

The only thing that really chaps my *** is theirs absolutely no mention of Riful and Dauf whatsoever after that cliffhanger, but that can wait, this is huge. Alot of people are going to be happy to see Jean again, even if a short memory.

The real question is, just how much power is Raciella giving her? Even if she gives her half - That's still power equal to an Abyssal One.

From the spoiler and comments, I don't think Raciella have given Clare any power( which is what I thought at the beginning, too), But it is more like memory and thoughts.

I didn't read the spoiler but Raphaela probrably didn't know that the fusion would happen and she might have wanted Luciela to die in the arms of her sister.

I still go with revan5 that we all underestimate clare's persistence . Perhaps she will help the sisters but if the spoiler is true they have already awakened.

The reason that i think some forwarded was that this was Raphealla attempting to push Luciella out of an awakened state 'or' to put her spirit back into her body.

Basically the awakened Luciella ran off with the body leaving Raphealla holding the spirit of her sister or what was left of it. Raphealla's non use of yoki and leaking aura certainly supports this theory. As it's shown that Raphealla 'could' have regenerated her eye, and carried on waiting for a chance to meet her sister.

I think you are mostly right but we have to distinguish between an half - awakened and a normal claymore even if she is able to soul link like alicia/beth and raph/luciella a half - awakened can do things that others can't do therefore rubel wants them dead at all costs.
I think jean did the same clare did to her simply pulling her back and alining her yoki during the process of awakening.
Jean and clare were both half - awakened and perhaps more capable than even raphaella and luciella.
Jean could simply be there because raphaella met them both in the forest.
What raffaella tried was to bring a fully awakened being back and to infuse it with it's old soul still stored inside her. This is something on one has ever done before.
Can't wait for the new chapter!!!
