I suppose the most likely reason for this is that the novels are going to go on a bit longer, and they probably want to time the third season to correspond with the end of the novels.

Oh and incidentally, that solicitation also includes the running time: 30 minutes.

Second is definitely the Zoetrope chapter. That chapter was actually bundled with the Vol. 1 limited edition DVD of Shana II if I remember correctly (looking at it right now).

I would like to speak (or explain) something about the speculated content of the 4 OVA volumes.

Actually ALL the titles are chosen from the original novel, they are side stories of shana:

1. リシャッフル（reshuffle）from the illustration collection 1, Gu-ren
2. ゾートロープ（Zoetrope (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zoetrope)）from the novel SII,comic 5, and the appendex of shana II DVD1
3. セレモニー（ceremony）from the novel S
4. ドミサイル（domicile (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domicile_(law))） from the novel SII

Beside reshuffle, 2-4 has been run on dengeki hp (the former of dengeki bunko magazine), dengeki bunko magazine, and dengeki daioh (the comic magazine) for some time.

Please just forget about those Chinese characters. they are just the official/non-official chinese translation of the Japanese title, they do not have actual description of the original content.

I put some wiki links on those English translated titles for reference. some how titles are related to the stories. all side story's titles was best fit the story itself.

The first volume of the new OVA series is reshuffle, a side story form novel. If the OVA series need to 'go in to background of characters', these side story may the best choice to do so. That's why I believe the rest volume may also from the original novel's side story.

Shana must show up in these stories (because the OVA must base on major's needs), the story must be fun, and the story itself must be very related to those main characters. these are factors I concidered when making that speculated titles.

because I cannot post spoilers here, so please search these titles for more information. I think they may not the best 4 side stories, but all of the side stories are very nice and worth to read, just like "milestone" in episode 8-9 in season 2. volume 10 is my love and I hope it turn into OVA series though.

Your speculations seems correct though. However, I'd like to add something... the other SNS 1 OVA turned out to be anime original... This is another possibility for those OVAs.

And I think that J.C would not post more backstory anyways, as they already put some in Season 1 and season 2.

Of course, that operates under the assumption that they want to.

Nothing new on that video, in fact it's the early news that the Dengeki Bunko magazine said in the previous month where they said the Shana project was restarting with a new series (which we later found out to be an OVA series and a 3rd season in planning stages).

What the text meant was that the Sabrac history will be included in the Shana II guide book, most likely in novel (text) form with a few illustrations I guess. It might be part of the OVA series but who knows? The description states that it's a brand new side story novel so the chances of it being animated this early is a stretch (but a possibility).

If you have any spoiler, just put it in Shakugan no Shana - Spoilers & Speculation (for experienced Shanites only) thread (http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=55969). Well, it is disheartening to see this thread being inactive. Maybe someone can put in the full plot of Reshuffle in there? Spoiler does kill the excitement, but at least you can understand the story better once you see the OVA.

Theres 4 OVA's coming out 1 like every 3-4 months. The last one comes out in August 2010 and season 3 comes after that so I guess October 2010 would be season 3.

Isn't that usually everything will revert to to its original self at the end of every episode (in this case, Reshuffle)? I mean that Yuji and Shana will regain back their original body. Then at the second episode, we will move on to the second story totally unrelated to the first episode, which may be Zoetrope, right? I just saw that last trailer and haven't seen the others but I noticed that the anime style is a bit different then usual.

It was Nagi-tan, Nagi-tan only appeared for one skit where she was sitting on Yuji's head pretending to be Shana-tan. She eventually got so pissed off that she broke character and Yuji actually noticed that it wasn't Shana-tan. The "blonde girl" being stalked by Sydonay isn't Nagi, as you've correctly deduced.

I have just watched the OVA, and damn, was it to good to find it so funny and hilarious.

To some people, Yuji and Shana do get actually both naked at one point, but...

Althought that that, I was surprised by the opening, it had some very good quality in it, better than what I saw in Season 2. If JC does use this kind of animation for Season 3, we'll have awesome fights.

Speaking of fights, if you're looking for fights in this episode, and nothing else, just don't watch it. There's barely any fight in there, except Wilhemina sending her bands at some points @ Yuji.

For those however, who are looking to have a good laugh and a good remembrance of awesome Shana and Yuji, go watch it.

BTW, Yoshida gets 10 seconds of appearance.

Almost give up on Zoetrope because of the reason stated by Elf song... totally forgot about this character when I make the speculation before. Overture should be a story in new OVA series, althought I prefer Zoetrope than Overture...

If Domicile come first than no mean of Ceremony come after... Ceremony is a very good story and it is closely related to Ceremony and the main story. Really wonder the rest of the story would be new original short story by novel author...

A story in Tendoukyu about shana and wilhelmina and Shiro, or something related to vol. 10 is nice (Because of the OVA opening... still don't understand the meaning of scenes shows chibi shana and Tendoukyu). Remake of Zoetrope is also welcome.

And NO MORE anime original services such as swimsuit or hot spring please. Wilhelmina is the exception though ;p

Yes, Eternal Song as an animated series should be the best addition to watching Shakugan no Shana. It's disappointing that I still haven't found any translators picking up this manga anywhere. :(
