I'm getting a little bit worried, to be honest. They've already done this in the earlier episodes, but they are _significantly_ altering Hina's character. I'm referring to her short fuse and her growing irritation about Hayate and her confusion over her feelings towards him. The anime version is notably sweeter and much less troubled - but also much less intense at the same time.
Hina's confused irritation is an important catalyst for later developments, so what the heck are they doing? Making her more moe?

It looks like the animators forgot to draw it in one scene... But then again, it is possible that it was just hidden on her left side. Though in that case, it sure did well not to fly off or drop from the way she was positioning/moving it... :heh:

Yay, finally Izumi had actual lines and actually got to do something (kind of). Took 'em long enough. Can't wait for when they hopefully animate chapters 169-173 (if they get there).
Also, nice unexpected joke there towards the end. I think that was the only thing I laughed at this episode.
Anyone else bothered by some of the odd movements the characters make? Particularly, in this episode, around 13:00 Hayate just looks awkward.

Conclusion: Ayumu is a magician. She can make ice cream disappear and appear again. And she can conjure up a bicycle( unless you double check the show and find there was a bicycle a few steps away).

Btw, does anyone know what game Nagi was playing? It LOOKED like Valkyrie (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valkyrie_no_B%C5%8Dken:_Toki_no_Kagi_Densetsu) with NES graphics, although the console didn't look like it.
That scene was funny though, when she was asked "is there anything you want?" she answers "rare doujinshi" straight away without thinking:heh:

Damn, awesome episode. Centres on my 3 favourite girls, A-tan, Hina, and Maria. ^_^
But FFFFFFFFF yeah, A-tan spoke! By Ayako no less! And she was actually drawn properly this time! Damn, I'm so pumped lol.
In anycase, it seems they really did retconned the latter half of season 1, as Hayate explained the same reason of the way of his thinking (aka. A-tan's 'lessons') in one of the later episodes then.

Wow, so much happened this episode. I was very impressed by how much they got in for one episode.

Great episode. A-tan, Hinagiku, Maria, and my favorite, Ayumu. Fully packed episode with a lot of cute moments and lots of character development.

Great episode, plenty of coverage of all the girls, definitely will be interesting to see how Hayate deals with it all!
Again, I'm so praying for a HayateXHinagiku ending, and it worries me (but in a semi-good way) to see so much emphasis placed on Maria this episode at the end.
Did anyone else notice, what I thought, was significant with the trio? One of them I think caught on about Hina's intent finally! Just my thoughts on that ^^

Since Miki of the student council trio is an expert on all things Hina, she prolly caught on pretty fast with what was going on with Hina's "weird" behaviour. But like Mentar said .. JC Staff is really upping her deredere. I just hope they won't alter too much of her development in the next episode and all should be ok :)
I believe this would have normally been a scene in the next chapter so I assume they'll skip that Miki x Hina scene ; ; which means no panties teasing :( This'll be the second time then a good Miki scene is skipped ... /sigh

I couldn't remember seeing A-tan before so a big welcome I guess...seems like she will become a player in the future from reading the comments.
All the Maria moments made my day in this ep. It is a shame that she isn't really treated like a girl given her flawless and mature character. But it is great that Hayate still thought of her enough to buy her a present (but WTF is that character...). I never guessed her past to be so tragic either...and xmas seems so far away ;_;
Clueless is an epitome skills that an Ultimate Players must have.
I wouldn't give up hope yet, Serffix. Next ep should be "Restless Hina", and that's when the Miki scene in question should come in.

Hmm .. yea I know it might still appear but there are 2 things that make me doubt it. First off, the fact that they already gave Miki the insight scene and secondly that the preview shows a scene with a different background than in the manga. But I'll just wait and see and stop this overanalyzing >.>;

I'm not sure which specific scene you're talking about (it's still too early for THE scene), but if you saw the next episode titles (epi 13 <3), I don't think there should be any worries about them rushing it.

Next season would be a safe bet. Even at the pace they're going I doubt they'll get to A-tan again.

I don't actually remember A-tan showing up in the manga this early. They purposely went out of their way to show A-tan this early, most likely means they intend to have A-tan in the main show at some point, I hope.

Anyways, I'm really starting to dig this series again, I guess I'm only really enjoying it when the focus is on Hinagiku, Ayumu, and Maria. Heaven forbid I'll ever actually see an end to this love tangled mess, but I'll enjoy the whole ride. A-tan looks like an interesting character too, too bad I won't be seeing too much of her for a good long while. :( I also loved the Ayumu fourth wall breaking, it was something I missed dearly from the first season, and I'm glad the show is still about comedy just as much as it is now about drama. Next week is the start of a Hina-centric multi-parter? Hooray~
Oh, and that twin tails no name is really starting to get on my nerves. Good thing she wasn't the reason Hayate refuses to find a girlfriend... now just keep staying on the sidelines and dream about the guy who actually has no interest in you...

Somehow, I'm also beginning to wish for a Hayate x Maria ending now. :D

This 2nd season is more focused on Hina since they skipped almost all the Hina-centric chapters in the first season. This means that most of Hina's development is left for the first half of the second season which is what we're seeing now.
Episode 14 is when they'll finally get ahead of the first season. I don't think it'll focus on Hina as much anymore and Nagi will probably have more focus on her again ... I leave it to you to decide if that's good or bad :p

Well, the hot springs arc is the next logical step after this, and that kind of focuses on everyone. More on Nagi than the others, but Hina, Ayumu, Sakuya, and Isumi have a lot of panel-time too. They just better not cut out my favorite scene from the entire manga thus far (between Hina and Ayumu).

im not as angry as i thought i'd be with the way this season is developing.
I would of prefered it if Maria hadnt stolen Hina's backstory, but its done in a compelling enough way. im interested to see how JCStaff will develop this

Hmm... I don't think we'll need to wait for a second season for Athena to show up. She should show up again as a flashback in later episodes. Also, assuming this season also runs for about 50 episodes, I think there's a chance for the "End of the World" mini-arc to get animated.
Anyway, I'd really like some more focus on Ayumu and Maria.
