Hmm, good to see that you've clicked on this post, the Golden Witch waits for your arrival! I hope like myself, you've found alot of interest in the Umineko no Naku Koro ni series, with its various cast of characters and loads of WIN its been giving lately. Recently I've had an idea for making an Umineko 2D fighting game. Now you must be saying that something like "Useless!! It's all Useless!! That's impossible, not everyone is capable of fighting!"But lets turn the chessboard over for a moment.. even though not everyone can fight, they still can be used! I've got friend who's a programmer who says he'll be willing to help, but only if I can gather a group together, and I guess spreading the idea around in certain places is the only way to do it! Still going to be in need of another programmer, a composer, some one who knows their way around networking for netplay, and most importantly a good artist who can draw sprites! Heres the system I've planned out: As of now, I can only be limited to about a cast of 8-10 characters, but something like that can be changed as time goes on with patches.

Battler, George, Jessica, Rosa, Krauss, Kyrie, Kinzo, Kanon, Beatrice, and Gohda. Each of them separated into certain categories of rushdown/pressure,punish,setup/control, and normal. With the game system each character has the ability to have a special magical barrier, magical burst, and magical activation. Also, when the characters activate, they can go into their meta-forms. For example, Rosa with her activation can go from normal to THE BEST MOTHER and receive increases to her normal abilities. Now as for the characters that may have the inability to fight, they can be used as support, but not like MvC nonsense, more along the lines of adding certain abilities and attributes to the character that was selected in the roster, kind of Arcana Heart-ish. An example would be, I choose Krauss, and then choose Nanjo as my assist. With Nanjo equipped, when Krauss activates, he's able to regenerate his health for the time given until activation runs out.

That's pretty much the gist of it for now, heh, sure could use some assistance, or if you know anywhere else that might attract the right crowd, then feel free to give some input. With that, hopefully we can spin the Devil's Roulette and pick out the chosen few to help begin the Witch's Game!

No, no progress yet or anything, I'm really just hoping to recruit some people, so in order to do that, I'll have to spread my idea around, if anybody has any idea where exactly, or maybe if anybody wants to assist with this or knows anyone with these sets of skills, then feel free to post! Only when I can get some sort of group can we really get anywhere, with SeaCats' popularit hopefully I can attract the right crowd for whos interested! Uu~!!

Umineko wasn't made for fighting...wait.
Therer is EFZ done this kind of stuff before.
Everyone can use magic?Isn't Battler is a Anti-Magic guy? LOL
May be a mix on melty blood,EFZ,and even the recent Vanguard Princess would be good?

Heh, thanks for the words of encouragement, lol Battler could have like some sort of Anti-Magical Endless 9 AT field, and I guess thats true, theres stuff thas not made for fighting, but even then as long as its related to the character itself, then you could just give it a normal moveset, if it has the character's personality along with it, then you can probably take the idea into a different direction!
