~ Chapter 94 Summary ~

Alicia and Beth engage Riful and Dauf. Riful is surprised at their power and nearly loses her head on the first attack. She recovers but is forced on the defensive by their strength. Meanwhile Claire has also felt their power and recalls a memory given to her by Raphaela about them, causing her to be confused as to why she would remember that. The newly awakened hybrid of what used to be Raphaela and Luciella opens its mouths and something that looks like a giant halo with many spikes emerges.

As Riful is finally figuring out how to deal with Alicia and Beth (using Dauf to fight one of them to disrupt the link slightly), the spikes from the halo fire off in every direction, piercing Riful and Dauf and causing mass destruction everywhere. In the town where Priscilla and Raki are currently at, she saves him from being hit by one of them.

Alicia and Beth appear to have dodged the spikes and are moving in for the final blow to Riful and Dauf. Claire, Helen, Deneve, Uma, and Cynthia have also managed to survive but the spikes that have landed near them begin to change shape into......something.

Yeah, I know we still don't have enough material to start any discussion yet. But I think it's more suitable to put any spoiler about chapter 94 in here. This thread is for chapter 94 discussion after all. :)

The Japanese spoiler is even less likely than the Chinese one (and it's not worth a laugh either). I found a translation of it in Chinese on baidu (http://tieba.baidu.com/f?kz=618498361) and it says something about Miria appearing out of nowhere and confronting Raciela??? What the heck...

:D Well since we can't say much about the latest spoilers, them being too vague, it is a good time for our monthly predictions. I'll start off with an easy one.

1) Renee did not get killed off screen by Riful and is going to meet up with Yuma and Cynthia. Reasons: a) People don't generally get killed off screen in this Manga, with the one big exception being Irene, but in that case Irene arm reacted to her death. b) Renee does not know about the ghosts and Claymores don't generally know all other 46 fellow warriors. So since Cynthia and Yuma have released their Yoki, she is going to perceive those two as being friendly forces, while Clare, Helen and Deneve, our troublesome three, and Alicia and Beth are going to be too close to what she is avoiding. Poor Cynthia though, she is already exhausted from healing. :D

2) Helen and Deneve won't get killed in this arc -- just a hunch.

Agree with both of Gangsta's; Renee will most-likely to definitely be the next character who joins the Ghosts. I can't imagine her rejoining the Organization after all this is over, and of course, her information will lead Claire to Raki and Priscilla and the next arc.

I've actually always believed that Riful would outlast Alicia and Beth, simply because she has more of a personal relationship to Clare and the Ghosts. Thus, more plot relevance.

But thinking about it now, that could also mean she'll die before the twins. Oops. :heh:

I have bad feelings about 94 chapter.
I think Helen and Deneve will meet Renee. Riful will kill some AE and nothing more interesting. Clare will play with Raciela (with finished form) little bit.

That'd be splendid.. :p and judging to the probability of new characters are to be shown next, it'd be interesting if someone actually died or forced to be in awakened form again. The ghost team are amazing, but I wonder what awakened being would stand up to them now that Easley is a puff~ and Riful is half baked like that.

And if Claire have Rafaela's strength- and Riful, Alicia & Beth died. Then Claire would be like too strong to handle, more in her awakened form... that's no fun at all -__-

Things won't go as well as that :( hmm...
( and I still HATE how Easley was beaten.... :eyebrow: )

...but of course, if the twin goes malfunction things would turned out pretty complicated and may also prolong the series :heh:

mainly, because (from my point of view) prissy wanted keeps her words to raki of not hurting anyone he cared for. :)

It's a little too vague for my tastes, but if it's true, looks like Raciellla is indeed going to be a big baby just like I thought. It gives off the impression as well that Raciella changed to her human form.

However, the ending is.......what? :uhoh:

For a brief moment I believed it was real but then Berserk and Claymore would have been anticipating each other too much recently. We've had Rafaela's blast to which has followed Ganishka's; Ganishka growing bigger and bigger and Raciella did the same; the world in Berserk is changing and have it change in Claymore seems something only fans could come up with.

So I'm going with [insert evil grin here] Riful losing the rest of her remaining 1 and 1/2 eyes. IMHO, Last chapter was amazing because lost Riful lost half an eye and 3 AFs got stabbed in their eyes. Maybe Riful will take down a few more AFs by stabbing them in their eyes like the others.

Oh, Yeah. Duaf will be stabbed in the gut and forced to watch Rifuls death. Followed my a swift beheading after attempting to get revenge for Riful's death.

I've been thinking about some of the comments that I've seen about Riful and have started creating a theory about it... People have wondered just how can you kill Riful since she is already in ribbons and even getting a chunk bit out of her head it didn't even faze her in the slightest.

I believe she will get cut into little tiny pieces and many of them will be eaten by the remaining feeders but she won't lose much yoki. Alicia and Beth won't be able to figure it out but one of the fab 7 will read the truth...

The Riful body we are seeing is not where Riful's critical body parts are. Those are in an extremely heavly armored part of Duff's body! She remote controls her own body and lets Duff's armor protect her. She probably powers him up if he needs it to survive in an emergency.

Just a crazy little theory. I always thought that her comment that Duff is one of the only ones who can accept her was actually a sexual reference but I now realize might mean something else.

About Riful's weakness, I don't see her going ballistic following Duph's death. She's far too cynical and calculating for that. She sees everyone as a tool, even Duph. I doubt they have "that" kind of relationship. I think, on the other hand, that Riful's vital parts, when she's awakened, are hidden underground and the top portion of her body, or at least everything you see on the surface is a diversion. For her body to be able to split up into so many ribbons and such, her vital organs would have to be somewhere else where nobody can see them directly.

I also think another option would be that Riful can manipulate her internal organs and move them around within her body as she pleases in order to avoid getting killed. That's how she was able to survive when half her brains were eaten (very similar to what the Elder Toguro can do in Yu Yu Hakusho). This may also imply that Riful has exceptional regenerative abilities. She was probably a defensive Claymore back in the day.

True, but Helen didn't bite off half of Isley's head. Neither did the feeders for that matter. Her ability to manipulate her organs is likely a unique skill to her among the Abyssal Ones at any rate.

That's true, she probably would be slightly agered by his death, but going ballistic is something I don't see her doing. I don't see "that" kind of connection between them. I think Riful sees Duph more as an indespensible general of her followers, someone who can keep her soldiers under control whenever she's not around.

Looks like Raeciula(or w/e it is spelled XD" sisters did some massive AOE attack akind to what majin buu did which ranged further than where Raki/Priscilla is right now. Raki only narrowly escped the attack due to priscilla's help.(I know, what a shame.) Rest I can't really make out.

I'm just wondering if Raciella's transformation and her new form is foreshadowing a possible future evolution on Clare's part. After all, Clare has Teresa's flesh fused to her body. Clare has Teresa's power, and the two women of that statue in the city were named Teresa and Clare as well.

according to kanji 杭=pile or stake or post or picket....which is synonym to like rod....so I just changed it to spear...because that is what Ruciella throws....

According to spoiler, I think that those attacks are random. It's just that Riful&Dauf are in a range of attack. And I think that they're still alive. But the problem is that those attacks may open a chance for Alicia to finish Riful off.

And they were the messenger of despair to this world. When I think about it, if they don't have any emotion at all then they may be drove only by survival instinct. Well who knows how the actual Japanese goes, but in english there is a great difference in meaning between "no attachment to life" and "no attachment for life", as the first would be the person not caring about his own life, whereas the second the person not caring for the lives of others. But that is something that the editor probably didn't think about. :heh:

Does the Organization have enough of them or can create them in a short amount of time? Before the ZACs can be used to appose the mini Raciella's they should be fed with a piece of her flesh and the problem is how to procure such a sample.

Well the spoiler does have more things I don't like about it than there is good to it so far. :p This one almost sounds as bad as the previous spoiler. Raciella going from apathy to attacking everyone, doesn't make much sense unless there is a reason. Riful and Duaf being attacked by her seems to take them out of the equation way too easily, and uninterestingly IMO. Having a bunch of mini raciellas is apocalyptic, makes the manga seem like it will end too soon, and there isn't much interesting development that led to it. The only positive I've seen is that Raki got attacked. :heh:

So I hope that this spoiler is just badly written, lacking the major details, because like the last spoiler this sounds a bit amateurish writing wise, and Yagi does not write like a kindergarten schoolboy. Last time the real spoiler sounded that bad, he proved himself to be a great writer by addressing everything people were concerned about and making it work.

Well Raciella just recently awaken, if she waits for a month and start attack. Then I will say that it doesn't make sense without any concrete reasons. If she is no harm and just want to stand there then why did Prissy said that she was a messenger from despair in the first place. :confused:

Well, it is not like Priscilla was hearing Raciella talk. Raciella was releasing her feelings, so by messanger of Despair, it is more like Priscilla felt Rafaela's and Luciella's great despair. Rafaela's would be for letting her sister turn into a monster, the live she lived afterwards, then killing her sister. Luciella's could be the pain she caused her sister. That makes more sense to me than Raciella deciding to be, for no reason at all, the goddess of destruction. No desire for meat. No desire to life (the concept of life) is Apathy, the state that Raciella was in before awakening.

Also, with Raki being attacked, well, that would mean Priscilla would charge in because someone attacked her center of her universe, Raki-sama. It is way too soon for her to show up. Also, if she shows up, what was the puropose of Rene?

Because Raciella has wings and the possibility she isn't able to fly can't be ruled out a priori. If I were them, once informed, I'd want to stop her and her little army before they could fly away and reach the mainland. It's an invade or be invaded scenario I'm thinking of. I admit it's way too hazarded considering we've yet to see and read the chapter-- which might have a complete different outcome.

Both questions, you confuse me, Raki is naturally good but he's just trying to find Clare. When did you ever get the impression he was a superhero? hes not going to look for Raciella because he thinks their trouble. The only reason I would think he would go to her is because he thinks or fears Clare is there, otherwise why? If Priscilla goes there, she's likely to fight to protect him which would probably mean fully awakening which is something he's trying to avoid.

Things I note:

About Alicia + Beth:

Alicia is a lot smaller then I originally though, and her body actually remains extremely human, it is just her upper Torso and above which seem to be noticeably different. Alicia is also extremely fast and strong, as expected.
Although she seems to be pressing Riful quite heavily, which indicates she probably is stronger then Riful, as the Organization believed. She also annihilated Dauf's arm with incredible ease (not too surprising, but still impressive)

Beth seems to be able to defend herself quite well, and can even dodge Dauf's Rods with her eyes closed (which is damn impressive). Although she seems to have no desire to go on the offense. Whether this is by choice or necessity, I'm not sure yet.

Although I would like to note I was right that Beth is not helpless during Soul-Link. :heh:

Riful and Dauf:

Riful's Awakened Form in action is always a sight to see, upon fulling awakening her damage seems to disapear, but Alicia is destroying her ribbons with no trouble at all.

Not looking good for the Loli of the West :uhoh:

Riful also seems to be very concerned about Dauf's well being, as I (and many others) expected, she does care quite a bit about Dauf.

Raciella:

Is now apparently semi-active and lashed out at Clare (so much for her being Clare's pet, at least for now) and has just lashed out at everything within hundreds of miles. The destructive power is damn impressive, Dauf now has two holes in him the size one of the one Jean produced + chunks of his body going missing, and Riful got hit by even more due to her size.

Alicia seems to have dodged them all without injury though, and seems to being going in for the kill against Riful.

Those giant spikes are quite worrying, if they turn into some Abyssal Eater like beings, the whole Island is now officially in deep Sh!t.

The Ghosts:

Clare: seems to be adjusting to Raphaela's memories still, judging by the headache, and manage to avoid Raciella's attack quite well.

Helen + Deneve: looks like their worries were quite correct, and judging by all the spines near the three of them, Clare will be needing the back-up against whatever is coming.



On that note, I wonder if the people in Rabona are also dealing with a sudden infestation of whatever is coming out of those spines. I'd love to see Miria and everyone else in Rabona get in on the Raciella induced chaos. :eyespin:
