alsoi thought it was funny when Mion started punching Keiichi in the stomach and when Rika was "talking to herself". Also at the end I thought for a second that Keiichi and Rena were getting married. lol, game over for K1

Enjoyed this way more than ep1, probably even more than Saikoroshi-hen's anime adaptation....MariMite reference was pure gold, even more when you know Sachiko and Takano share the same voice actress.

Mahjong made me looool, too. Looks like neither Rena nor Hanyuu are as good at mahjong as their Saki counterparts. We do get to see Ryuumonbuchi's butler in action.... !

Flawless execution. Most fun episode of the series. All the Rena fanservice scenes were gold! The animation and style quality were through the roof on this one too. Overall a great OVA and end to Higurashi.

Who knows might have just been upset about getting beaten up and having to chase Rena all over the place. Of course maybe she was upset also about the whole Rena and Keiichi thing. Either way she had to do a lot of work there.

So was a fun way to finish off the OVAs. I still think they could just make a whole series covering these sorts of situations and have a fun result. After all these characters have gone through a little fun is in order.

Considering the connections Takano has Rena might find it difficult to avoid her attentions in the future :D.

Rena fanservice is great. But we do get to find out a few things about Takano and Tomake. Tomeke is into nurse cosplay photo shoots, and Takano has two things...secretly like cosplay fetish, but finds it embarrasing, and is possibly a closet lesbian.

But Rena fanservice is where its at. The return of all her modes makes me happy.

This episode is NON-CANON. (Which I admit. Upsets me a little.)

As far as I can recall, only episodes 2-4 in Rei were the only episodes with a distingished position in the Higurashi timeline.

Rena's harem was hilarious. Her L4 mode and "Usoda" were also funny as heck (S1 should have more of that art style). Then we have Rika slipped off and "talked to herself".... and her sadist nature in the end showed why Bern have such favourite foods :heh:

All the characters in Higurashi are great. I gonna miss them all, especially Nipah master (watched Bern satisfy me a bit through)

I watched it on youtube..While I appreciated that they kinda answered a big question of mine, I hated how Rei turned into the Rena series. Its not that I dont like Rena but giving Shion 30 seconds of screen time and just using Mion for some jokes after ep1 really rubbed me the wrong way.

These pets were ripped off of special disks that came with OVA DVDs right? That being said, is there a way to make a pet like these? Does anyone know? I ask because I really want to find/make/ask some to make a Natsumi pet.

I have a little bit of experiance with simpler things (like making a dating sim game), but if you could give a step-by-step guide it would be very much apreciated.

About Rei being the last season, I think that was confirmed before the first OVA episode came out.

Hah, after watching Umineko this seems like a breath of fresh air.

The entire episode was really funny, and Hanyuu's antennae takes the cake. There seems to be some really dark humor in this episode (poor Rena! And aren't some people gonna have a meeting with Chris Hansen at the end? :)), and was parodying the main series so hard. ;)

I was sorta expecting some cool fight scenes like I saw of the game Daybreak, but at least we got some Satoko trap (missile??) action. The mahjong scenes really cracked me up, since I like Mahjong as well as Akagi. And to have them here was pretty cool.

8/10 The ending kinda left me hanging as the end to Higurashi, but we got our wrap up and resoution well enough in episode 4, so that's fine.

I didn't even know that the pets really do have an underlying interaction command. Still, I would like to somehow have Keiichi and Miyo pets made. Having them all interact would be great. If I had the coding expertise, I'd definitely do it.

Everything about Rei is special:

Ep 1 is about pool-centric wackiness.
Ep 2-4 is more of an epilogue chapter. Rika and Hanyuu take center stage.
Ep 5 is a light-hearted end to the series. Rena takes center stage.

As far as we know there are no other episodes planned for Rei.

The Higurashi anime is pretty much over. Umineko has replaced it.

Weird, despite me being a KeiRena fan, I didn't really like the near ending's KeiRena part.

I feel a bit sorry for Hanyuu, she was yelled at by Rika for most of the episode..

I guess it's the end (except for the manga~) but I kinda was glad when I finished the last episode, the last scenes bugged me for some reason ~__~
