Ah, TSS, a never-ending source of frustration to readers. Well, I'm still awaiting the raws.
Yea...Chinese scans are out but I have yet to be able to find them. Even the Chinese forums I frequent are waiting for the raw or the translated one from TSS to come out. All I heard was TSS would only release either later in the day or tomorrow, but their scans are exclusive for their higher class members only for a short time period. I would want the raws to read at least but it seems TSS are the ones who has them at the moment.

Now hold on, it's not only a small scan, but what do you expect? to see the hairs in her grasp? how much more detail do you need? :p
And I expect to see where they got those clothes or an explanation why. They are running for their lives, why are they worrying about their nudity :heh:, it's not like their in a city or anything anyway.

It's not just that... it the direction of her hand... more specifically her thumb, is to far to be grasping his hairs. So she has to be grasping his skull, with her small little girl hand. :twitch:
There is no way she could do that without penetrating his skull with her figures because no matter how strong her grip is, he'd still just slide out of her grasp. :heh:

That's part (stress the part) of why I want to know Beth's condition... I want to know how come she couldn't dodge the attack...
I don't get TSS - they go out of their way to get the raw before everyone else, sit on it, make a chinese scan, show it to like 2 or 3 people, and sit on that.
I mean WTFBBQ. Why?

To hell with that exclusivity to their own members. If every fansubber did that, the anime and manga community will be such a sad place to be in.

The rotten part is, they have time to scan a few pictures and make little comparisons with microsoft paint ink and not scan the whole thing.

the original source of those doodled up images I think is gene's blog.
Thus it's a safe bet the whole thing was scanned before it was desecrated.

Yeah the TSS guys are sitting on it now. They always want the scans to be circulated after the 4th of each month (After the mag is out), but everytime someone with TSS account just release it early.
It blew up big last month over all the Chinese Claymore forums/boards when people accused TSS of been jerks and such and whole thing went on for like a week. That pissed off a lot of the TSS scanlation guys, so they set it to like 50 rep to be able to see it now. :mad:
Cyclone, I'm afraid I'm repeating myself, but there's nothing illegal about what TSS is doing. China just doesn't follow release dates. That's why the Chinese get magazines early. I am pretty annoyed with the way they sit on raws and everything, though.
Hydropod, so as a result of people giving them shit over being jackasses, their solution is to be bigger jackasses? Did I read this right?
One of the Chinese forums have gotten hold of a leaked page with Beth impaled by the one of the pole-thingies. The original poster colored it in full.
Edit: Added another scan of Beth being invaded by the parasite.
I would really like the scans to be out, instead of them leaking pages one by one. :frustrated:

Put aside the frustration, I really love the coloring. TSS should release more color version too. It's too sweet to keep it for themselves. :love:

If Claire don't do something VERY SOON Beth won't survive.
And Claire is the only one that can save her 'cause Alicia seems to be totally out of control and Riful obviously won't help Beth.
Btw initally i was thinking that the mini-Luciela is simply absorbing Beth's energy untill she kills her......but IF Raciella is the one that controls all those monsters,don't you think that may be possible that she has taken control of Beth?If so,now Alicia may be basically another Racial's puppet.......scary.....
.....and it seems that Beth didn't have yoki prediction like Claire afterall,probably she was simply very good at yoki reading.....
At first I thought Yagi coloured it because it looks like his style a lot.

That's a pretty nice coloring job, fits the art style really well. I wonder if there's more of those colored pages from that guy.
I made a chapter sypnosis here on the Chinese scans, so feel free to take a look.
Edit: Translation done and some corrections made. Riful's a real sadist to Dauf isn't it? Apologies for the mistake in the scans, as Alicia ends up stuck between human and awakened phase and not changed back to fully human as I thought it was.
SCENE95: 破壞の化身 (Incarnation of Destruction)
(All around them, the pole-shaped things from Raciella start transforming)
Helen: What's going on? What the hell's happening?
Deneve: ....
Clare: The real hell...is now about to begin.
Helen: Hey, hey...You gotta be kidding. All these poles aren't awakened beings right?
(The awakened beings finish transforming and set their sights on the warriors)
Deneve: Take off your cape and get ready with your sword, Helen!
(One AB teleports in front of Helen)
Helen: So...so fast...
Deneve: Helen!
(The AB attacks Helen but Clare chops off its arm)
Helen: Clare!
(The AB immediately grows tentacles from its severed arm and attacks. Clare and Helen dodge it. The AB once again mutates, turning into the familiar shape of the deceased Abyssal One, Luciela. Weird blades from the AB's shoulder attack the pair)
Clare: Urgh...
Helen: This bastard...
(Deneve lands on the AB's back and cuts into it. But the flesh of the AB starts to eat at her swords)
Clare: Deneve!
(Deneve kicks away from the AB, but it attacks her with its tail. While fighting, Deneve notices that the same pole spike things earlier is growing on her right arm. She immediately lops it off)
Deneve: You monster...
(She throws her infected arm and impales it on the monster. Helen drill swords the monster's head to pieces before it can recover)
Helen: Heh heh, finally did it! You deserve that!
(The AB rises headless and hits Helen from behind)
Helen: Gaah...ah...ah
Clare: Helen!
(The AB strikes Clare down with its tail)
Deneve: How can this be...this thing already has no head!
(The headless AB clamps down onto Helen. The severed neck of the AB grows spikes)
Helen: Wait...wait...
Deneve: Not good! Don't let those things hit you. Otherwise you'll be infected!
(The AB shoots the spikes but Clare hits them away. The spikes strike back on the monster)
Helen: Wah! Wah..aa..aaa
Deneve: Helen! Clare!
(The AB stands still for a few moments and finally collapses. The three of them take a breather)
Helen: Damn this monster...Persistant as hell and also knows how to deal cunning moves.
Deneve: Is it...dead?
Helen: I...I don't know.
Clare: These things originally cannot be considered as lifeforms.
Helen: !
Clare: They are pieces of the "Destroyer" that shot out from the Luciela-Rafaela hybrid. Its actions will naturally stop when it is destroyed completely. But if those things (refers to spikes) makes its way into an energy source, which means it parasitizes a host body, it will be able to continue moving.
Deneve: Hoo. Helen.
(motions Helen to return her sword to her)
Helen: Ah. But that is really powerful.
Deneve: The yoki release after seven years. It feels like my yoki can often reach the edge of my limits under normal conditions. Hey Clare. If we want to bring down those things, what should we do?
Clare: They don't have any vital areas. But they don't have any knowledge of their own bodies, so they still don't have any concept of regeneration. So if all four limbs are lost, they won't be able to move anymore. But, even when they lose all their limbs, it's possible they can still shoot those things out like just now. For insurance, we should cut them down into pieces as much as possible.
Helen: Chi. That's easy for you to say.
(More of the ABs arrive)
Helen: Damn, this view is pretty nostalgic.
Deneve: Yea. It's like that time happened again.
(The ABs surround the three of them)
Helen: So we should just cut all of them to pieces? Are you serious? Hey?
Deneve: Although this will be a painful chore to do, but if we can beat them, it's no problem.
(Meanwhile, Riful grabs a severely injured Dauf by the hair and runs through the forest)
Riful: (pants)
Dauf: R..Riful. Don't...don't care about me. Riful...you should escape alone. Otherwise we will both die here.
Riful: Shut up! Say one more time like that again and I will really abandon you here!
Dauf: O...ok. That's great...This is also...If Riful can survive, that's enough.
Riful: Once you're completely fine, I will definitely land you back in this state myself!
(An Abyssal Feeder drops onto Riful from above and munches into her shoulder)
Riful: You...
(She uses her hair to cut down the AF. More AFs arrive and Riful cuts them all to pieces)
Riful: (pants. She notices her eaten off left arm) The arm that was bitten off no longer regenerates...
(More AFs arrive)
Riful: That's enough. Coming out one by one. How many more of them are there?
(Suddenly someone cuts one of the AFs to pieces.)
Riful: Wha..?
(The others notice but it is too late as they are also cut. The last AF leaps into the air but is unable to escape the carnage. The one responsible is Alicia)
Riful: Chi. What? Aren't they all on your team? You...that...
(Alicia's face is revealed to be half human, half awakened)
Riful: What the hell...awakened?
Alicia: Uh..ah...uh...ah
(Meanwhile Beth is impaled elsewhere by one of the poles. The pole grows veins and exerts itself on Beth's stomach. This thing seems to be releasing Beth's yoki)
Beth: Ah...ah...ah...
(The pole grows a face at the end)

I hadn't seen anything but the first three leaked pics and had been up all night till falling asleep in front of the pc... It was well worth the wait. Another amazing chapter. Helen has learned the lesson and didn't attack. Deneve has ripped her right arm off and thrown her two swords directly into one of the cat girls' head. Duff is alive, smiling and even speaking, it seems. :heh: And apparently Alicia is indeed being pulled back to human form by Beth. These creatures appears to be feeding of youki -- as Ryus alluded. So maybe they will only attack ABs, claymores and yomas and not the population. And what is it that they can grow on their back: chainsaw blades?!

seems they can use them as blades-arms, but I wouldn't be surprised if they can use them as wings. Maybe Raciella herself might be to big to take of, but these things sure can. So maybe Claire and the others have to race against time to destroy them all before they spread wings, fly away, attack other ABs/Clays/Yomas and mutiply without end

I would speculate Alicia wants Riful to save Beth or at least pull that rod out. Whether or not Beth still has control or Alicia is aware of the situation (they are identical twins after all and they should care about each other regardless of their training because of the trust they have to have in each other) is unknown. The Ghosts might be a better choice to save or heal A&B since Cynthia is their med tech and Clare does have experience aligning her yoki and bringing Claymores back from an awakened state, which seems to be a form of 'soul link'. Too much carnage going on and people are trying to survive at this point, so anything can and will probably happen in future chapters.

This chapter is Awesome. Have you guys seen what the Luciela kittys can do? The AFs are NOTHING compared with them.
And Deneve looks SO sexy when she's not ripping her own arm off.

....and once again it ends with an unbelivable cliffhanger!
The only thought that we have to wait another month to see what will happen.....i want to cry......
Anyway,Beth probably can no longer be saved,and why Alicia needs Riful to take off that pole?That makes no sense,imo.
Another thing,it's not true that Alicia reverted to human form,she still is 95% awakened.

Let's get this straight - unless they have some kind of agreement with JumpSQ and Yagi-sensei that we don't know about, then "nothing illegal" is a load of rubbish. Ergo, respecting release dates on what is essential stolen goods, is assinine.
Given that the activities are on the shadier side of the law, I am stunned they feel the need to piss off Claymore fans around the world like this. As someone who has his JumpSQ subscription airmailed to him every month at great cost, it annoys me greatly that gene - somehow - gets her(?) hands on a copy before everyone else. And since they intend to release redistribute it anyways, then it would be nice if they either didn't constantly remind us that they can get it faster, while keeping it from us. I don't like being jerked around like this.
As far as I'm concerned, TSS can go to hell and the world will be a better place.
That said, I have finally seen the chapter - colored pages and all (obviously they had WAY too much time on their hands as they were sitting on those scans). Good chapter. I wonder what Riful means when she says she can't regenerate her arm. Guess I'll have to wait some more until an actual raw comes out... joy...

It is probably like for Isley who couldn't regenerate / regenerated very slowly once he got tired. I suppose he probably ran out of Youki, if you can say that.

Perfectly fine with that. Claymore has been booted from my "must read" list. Kodomo no Jikan and Umi no Misaki are higher on the list. Heck, even the upcoming DGM sounds more exciting to me.

What I'm not ok with is someone saying:
"I have the raw - I'm going to doodle on it and show you pics to prove it - but I'm not going to let you see it just yet. I'll make you wait."
To someone like that, my answer is, and always will be, to go stuff themselves. I don't NEED those arrogant SOBs. What they're doing is repugnant to me and I don't need to associate with it.
Others will release their scans when they get them, and if they don't, I still have the paper version in the mail to fall back on (which I'm only really doing to support Yagi-sensei anyways).
Besides, Imagine being able to first read the new chapter of Claymore each month in the language it was written in? Wouldn't that be nice?
Why should I be thankful to those jackasses for the first version I see of the manga each month is some chinese basterdization?

Lol getting wound up just because you can't see a manga a few hours earlier, they can do what they want with it it's there own necks there risking by releaseing it, and what's so different this month they always release a few pistures a few hours ahead of releaseing the chapter.

Another awesome chapter from the looks of it. The kitties are quite a bit more dangerous than the ZACS, helen would've of bought it if it wasn't for Clare. In a moment of coolness, Deneve rips off her own arm. It looks like Beth is done for, I don't see how Riful, if what they say about her being low on energy is true, can save Beth, but maybe she is not supposed to, maybe Alicia, as others have poitned out, will be her child as we thought Raciella would be.
I have to say Cyclone, your bitching about how TSS does their scans is far more annoying then waiting a few hours could ever be.
As for the chapter. I wonder how the Clare, Deneve, and Helen are going to deal with the kitties. From what I counted it looks like they are surrounded by atleast 13 kitties and I can't see how any normal fighting tactics are going to get them through that many enemies at once.

This is the confusing part - what exactly happens when a spike hits a target? Does the launcher of said spear get energy from them? because it just looks like a new one is grown from it and uses the victim's body as the "energy source" and will be able to continue moving for longer periods of time.
I don't think their is any syphoning involved.

I hadn't seen anything but the first three leaked pics and had been up all night till falling asleep in front of the pc... It was well worth the wait. Another amazing chapter. Helen has learned the lesson and didn't attack. Deneve has ripped her right arm off and thrown her two swords directly into one of the cat girls' head. Duff is alive, smiling and even speaking, it seems. :heh: And apparently Alicia is indeed being pulled back to human form by Beth. These creatures appears to be feeding of youki -- as Ryus alluded. So maybe they will only attack ABs, claymores and yomas and not the population. And what is it that they can grow on their back: chainsaw blades?!

2) Finally translated Riful's reply to Dauf after he commented that it's good enough for him that she survives. She's a real sadist when she's mad! Apparently nobody gets to hurt Dauf, only she can do it.

I think you misunderstand what he said and take offense to it. It has nothing to do with Chinese. The english scanlation is also a bastardization of the Japanese Raw. Anyway, there is nothing wrong with Riful survival. Riful survival probably means that this manga will go on longer. Yagi-sama must've thought that Raciella becoming Riful's child was to obvious, so he found a way to do that in a way we didn't suspect but with Alicia being the Child. Predictions for next chapter: Beth is dead. Alicia is emotionally retarted, a child in the body of an adult. Riful has what she wanted and many of the readers will have what they were looking forward to.

:) Don't worry: I am sure that Riful will eventually die once she serves no purpose to the story. But like I've been saying for quite a while now, the only way that Riful would have a purpose to the story was if she gained the child she wanted. The obvious path was Raciella, but it was too obvious for Yagi to use, so he surprised us by using Alicia. This is a path with a lot of potential for story that many of us wanted Yagi to go down on. If Riful would've died, then the Manga would've probably ended a lot sooner.
BTW, Dauf is able to create clothes out of this air. It's nature's way of telling him that he should never be naked.

Beth wasn't able to dodge all those flying digletts. That is what she gets for trying to use Alicia to get to Raciella, while not watching her ownself. It is why Alicia and Beth were flawed by design. Anyway, Beth is going to die. It was Beth who saved Riful, not Alicia. The way I see it Beth was in control. Back to consciousness, Alicia might be an underdeveloped one that didn't get to go out much. Beth saved Riful to take care of her sister who still maybe a child in mind, Alicia. There is no saving Beth from what I see. Anyway, the scene makes sense to me.

In previous chapter, we saw that Alicia's movement was slower when Beth couldn't concentrate on her Soul-Link. So it was obvious that when Beth was injured. She decided that she should stop and revert her sister before it was too late. I think Alicia's half human-awakened face was a proof that Beth was trying to revert Alicia. IMO :eyespin:

I agree more with Zato's opinion. Beth has lost control and Alicia is basically killing anything that gets in her way while still going for Riful who was her main target.
And I think it has made her more berserk and wild. We all know what happened to Lucia when Rafa lost control.:upset::uhoh::)
I don't think she has gone wild she targeted just the AFs, if the the AF's where just on one side of Riful and killed just those then stopped then yes it was a rampage, yet it didn't happen like that Riful was surrounded by the AF's on all sides yet Alicia killed the AF's without touching Riful if it was a random rampage she's have gone straight though Riful to get at the other AF's.
That's a very dire situation. Alicia becoming the new Abyssal!? Dunno about that. She seems to be going out of control but the recent events had a focus on the main land, I don't see how bringing a new abyssal would help. The Abyssals have outlived their role in Claymore IMO. Riful must die so does Alicia. Also, I don't see how the Org might have not taken a situation like this into account. They don't want Luciella/Rafaela's history repeated.
On the other hand, I don't see how the trio would survive this battle against the Kats. I think the cats are being used as a plot device to remind us of something we'd forgotten. Priscilla. She will come and obliterate Riful and Alicia and save Clare along the way because Raki wants it. This will create more emotional conflict for Clare in her vengeance plan.
Really, I don't see anyone saving their butts besides Priscilla.

Rafaela is very old; we have no idea what she's been doing, whether before or after she met Rubel and joined the Organization. Their is a very large grey area in what we know about her, so it makes sense that she could have easily done various investigations on the Org's plans.

Doubt it; their's something else that's going to happen because the same basic thing happened already with Luciella.
Something is going to happen with Alicia, but running off and becoming a new Abyssal is the last thing I expect to see.

I don't think they'll be like this immidiately...but yes, I think so too. The Organization to Alicia/Beth is like Clarice to Miata. Without Mama, or rather, without them to guide them and tell them what to do, they are like a lost child.

I wouldn't call it fandom as much as the general impression IS that the manga is ending soon. Maybe it's not intentional, but ever since Isley died, I got the feeling the story is accelerating. The AE's, Raciella, the big fight between Alica and Riful....maybe what I'm supposed to be feeling is that we are entering the next stage of the manga and no longer necessary characters are being killed, but so many big things are happening at once, It's hard not to feel this way.

This might lead her to the same state as Luciela. She used too much Yoki and she couldn't retain her full awakened form anymore. She couldn't regenerate her arm in this chapter was also a proof that her Yoki was nearly depleted.

I don't really have any issues with the clothes if you look at what Daufs got on it's just a rag thats been tied around his waist while the dress Riful is wearing is the one Dauf had before the AF took it and they only tore a few patches off it.
How many AFs attacked the West? By the end of chapter 93, there were 5.
Now, Riful and Alicia killed 9.
We don't know how many they sent in the frist place, the MIB only said that they had sent another batch after Riful we only assumed that they would be 11 like the batch sent after Isley but in theory they could be dozens there.

Deneven said she can easily go close to her limit. If Deneven can do that, then it should be easier for Clare to pass her limit.

Clare also said that they need to cut the mini Lucilas into bits. Queen of blade mode is perfect for that task.

lol the twins barely got any showtime. technically they've been around for 7 yrs but all that time was spent in timeskip :heh: seen them fight twice & she's dying in the second fight.... hopefully 96 will explain why she was unable to dodge.

Well,to be precise i think she will be able to fully awaken keeping control of her mind and revert back at the end of the battle in her human form......let's say something similar to what Alicia and Beth do,only without the help of anyone.
This way she'll basically would be the perfect warrior that the org wants and at the same time a HUGE problem for the DoDs,a problem to eliminate BEFORE the org finds out.....
It's just a theory but it's possible imo.
To be more precise imo Claire would be able to control her yoma thanx to her humanity (and in this Raki would play a great role).

I think that those half-awakening strengthen the host and weaken the parasitic yoma consciousness. IMO there must be a way to get rid of the slumbering yoma or new consciousness which probably takes over when the person awakens through training the half-awakening more and more.

Well,if those monsters are controlled by Racialla maybe even the infection is caused by her, so maybe if someone has enough mental strenght to destroy the link between the parasite and Raciella it could be possible to "disarm" the parasite,like disarming a radio-controlled bomb.

That is a damn good idea. Perhaps rafaella knew more about raciella than it first appeared. If she taught clare how to soul link and clare soul links with her comrades everyone could become immune against those beast because clare can share her knowledge with the others. IMO there is no other way for survival except clare would awaken and destroy raciella but than the story would be over. It should be only a matter of time until everyone is sucked dry and infected. So the only way is what you said about disrupting the link. IMO this should be possible because raciella has to controll many of those beings remotely and can not concentrate all her power to one link. Perhaps rafaella even called clare from the distance when she was with yuma and cynthia considering the range raciella has now all seems to make
far more sense. But still the question stays, why clare and not renee? IMO she wanted explicitly clare and perhaps even called her to her from far away. Perhaps it was simply because riful was with renee the entire time but i don't believe that because riful was away and rafaella let renee get away.
Still unanswered questions. There must be something else only clare has. The half-awakened state? Theresa? Perhaps she knew her from before in the woods? Against those theory is that the consciousness was reconstructed from clare's memories so how could she have called her if she not even existed. I thing now i have proven myself wrong ;)

Noticed but I don't really care about the characters invisible and infinite bag of clothes. Unlike JB and others (not to single him out but he was screaming the loudest) who seemed to care about it... :heh:
I'm still more concerned about the fate of Alicia and Beth (and the characters who haven't appeared for a bit...). Their fight was as epic, as it was quick. That's one of the pluses of Claymore, IMHO, quick and brutal fights, with 4 exceptions that I can think of off the top of my head...
1) "Playing" with your kill, such as Ophelia
2) Trying to awaken someone, such as Riful/Dauf
3) Trying to not kill your attackers and on top of that doing it without releasing your own Yoki, such as Teresa
4) Letting your opponents wound each other first before closing in for the kill, such as Agatha
All of which fit the plot very well, so I can't complain. Though those fights aren't really dragged out (like fights in DBZ), they're just longer then other fights.
Your right, Deneve is really getting better looking... then again I'd say Teresa would look better with her clothes ripped off too, and we all know it's impossible for Teresa to get any hotter! (though 3 other Claymore can challenge her for the title of hottest Claymore: (in no order) Miria, Galatea, & Flora)

its an excellent idea yea and certainly possible thanks to rafaella's memories but, as formidable an attack the launching of multiple parasites is, its just the beginning. destroyer is capable of physical close-quarter combat as well as we've seen. for the fusion of two of the most powerful claymores (nvm one of them being former abyssal one), something like this shouldn't be overly-taxing. parasites make an effective weapon but they are hardly efficient. there has to be more to it.... btw is anyone else reminded of dbz fusions from raciella? lol

Helen's attack is not suited for fighting those beings. She is good against isley or dauff, so it would be stupid from her to awaken.

What if you are hit in the head or neck? The best defense is not to get hit. It would be hard to stop just one of Racilia's soul-like without stopping all of them. Clare would need to be really strong to stop her (if it's soul-link).

Alicia I think is just went berserk because Beth can no longer fully contain her soul or maintain soul link. It looks like she has some of her 'soul' back in her but not entirely - thus she is half awakened and half claymore.
Priscilla will prob have to fight. I doubt Raki can handle even one of these spawns.
I wonder when Miria and Co will show up. They may end up meeting Raki/Pris first on their way tracking Alicia and Beth's youki.
Clare may end up helping Beth and thus bring Alicia back.

You are right, but if Raki armor is more awesome than we have seen he has a good chance.
The one thing I found amazing about the whole chapter besides the combat was Deneve's regeneration ability. It is far better now than it was when we first saw her...she regenerated her entire right arm in a mere moment. At the bottom of one page it's gone, and then on the next she's got a beautiful, strong new arm.
Still find it hard to believe how Beth got hit by that big pole when she's so quick. Does it have homing or something? :heh:

Essentially she couldn't muster the brainpower to move two bodies at once so rapidly. I mean, look at Riful...she's an Abyssal One and got shot to pieces and was extremely near death against the Abyss Feeders when Alicia intervened.

Denev being able to regen her arm in an instant is just a sign that how much more efficient her youki usage has become. That is almost borderline average AB regen level. Helen being effortlessly use drill sword is similar. We saw how long Jean had to wind down and being able to only use it a few times. That just shows their growth in power from being able to get more out of using their youki. Although I do think their youki pool size also increased, just not as drastically.

It really depends what happens and what they do.
On one hand, Raki or Priscilla will take the other and try to flee from the town as fast as possible, both for their safety, but Priscilla primarily because Raki doesn't want her to fight. Fighting something as strong as this thing would probably mean awakening and that's something he doesn't want her to do under no circumstances.
On the other hand, Raki may be inclined by his nature to protect the other villagers and want to fight this thing and Priscilla, by wanting to protect him, fights back and awakens.
Either scenario is probably what we will see next chapter, or at least a little bit.
If you have so much anger to vent, I think it would be better spend on something more important than someone on the other side of earth you don't even getting to see a monthly managa couple days before you do.

You're right - I should be more careful with how I phrase things, and I was venting. I'm calmer now - the Claymore Depravation Syndrome (CDS) is wearing off.
I didn't mean to offend you, China, the Chinese, or person or place for that matter. I have nothing against China, or anyone from it. I like you - and I hope this doesn't affect that.
The fact is though, that TSS policy is deaply antithetical to me (again: nothing against individual members or anything - it's the policy I don't like), and Claymore in particular causes this reaction. I'll try to be completely honest and open and see if I can explain my position...
- I've been an anime fan for longer than I care to admit, though now my interests are gradually shifting to manga, novels, etc.
- Claymore is my favorite manga series. Something in it just appeals to me. I dont think I have to explain this to anyone in this forum.
- I spent many years and lots of effort to learn enough Japanese in the hopes that one day I can enjoy my favorite animes and mangas in Japanese. It's been, and continues to be, a lot of work learning the language. I'm still not very good.
- My view on copywrite is mixed. If I like something, I will support it. If I hate it, don't try to get money from me for it (I WILL go out of my way to boycott things I dislike). I have a JumpSQ subscription becuase of Claymore. I'm not daft enough to think the latest issue might arrive before scans are available online (it doesn't of course, and around the 10th-15th of the month I always have a sad little chuckle), I just want to support Yagi and Claymore's continual publication. Makes me feel good, even though it's probably meaningless since the only one I am making rich is the post office (only about $5 of the $40 it costs me each month goes to JumpSQ).
With those facts about me in mind, just try to put yourself in my shoes.
- I don't have the will-power to know that there is a Claymore release, and ignore it.
- TSS's distribution method is horrible. Even if I could register (which I once tried to do with the help of google translate), I cannot download anything because I don't talk enough. I don't know a word of Chinese. I can't talk there, and so the lowest rung membership is useless to me.
- TSS get the raws really quick, but insists on releasing the Chinese version first. Why? If they're going to release both anyways, and since the violation of copywrite and release dates doesn't bother them for the Chinese version, why not simply release the Japanese version at the same time. If you don't want to detract from japanese sales, hold off on releasing the Chinese version too, right? It makes no sense.
- So the first version of my favorite manga is one I cannot read. That in itself takes away about half the pleasure. It's fine if you know Chinese, but to me it might as well be written in Tamil, Ojibwe, or Klingon for all the sense it makes.
- No available raw means to english scanlation either.
- Most importantly though I also want to discuss the new chapter in real time with all of you guys. To share in the experience. So even if I could stay away from the release itself, it means I have to stay away from all of you and isolate myself - and miss out on any realtime reaction. That's just as bad as waiting.
- Then when people say: "It's out", and it's nowhere to be seem online becuase it's hidden behind some members only access, it just rubs salt in these wounds.
Probably the worst thing is there is no ideal fix. I cannot get any version I can actually read any quicker, and waiting is not really an option. It's the powerlessness of there being no solution that drives me up the wall more than anything else.
Anyways, those are my honest feelings. No Xenophobia or anything like that. Just pent up frustration.

It depends greatly on a lot of things we don't know exactly; how much yoki does it take to kill one of these things, how much strain she is under....
As far as we know, Priscilla has no method of attacking whilst still in human form, like Riful has with her hair. It seems, no matter what, she has to power up to fight back and that's not good.
I guess what it really all boils down too is, will she lose control of herself is she awakens and fights? or will she still have time and recognize Raki and power down? Will she recognize him regardless of hunger?
Tragic as it is, it's definitely not Raki's nature, he may be better off ignoring the townsfolk, just taking her and run, if only to try and prevent a greater disaster.

I can understand the thought process, but if it were true, then basically EVERY character we know would have a rod near them, not just the ones at the scene. As far as we know, Rabona is uneffected. For all we know, the rods only effect the West and not the whole island which seems to extreme(even though this is supposed to be "hell").
Getting to the point, homing is too good a power. I don't think I'll be happy if they have that too :(

First of all, does Beth controls Alicia? I don't think so. I migth have misunderstood the Soul-link process but I think that Alicia makes her own decisions.
I think you are wrong. Alicia slows down when Beth is being distracted. In fact, doesn't even Clare mention something about control in the previous chapter?
So, Beth chose a sadistic, murderous AB to serve as a mother to Alicia? Don't you think she would have found a better solution? After all, they had been atatcking Riful just a minutes ago. What if Riful decides to kill Alicia just for revenge?
Besides, if Alicia is mentally a chid, then Beth is also one. Rubel said that none of them had any personality left.

You letting your dislike of a character cloud your judgement, I think. What Beth sees is Riful risking her life for Dauf . Riful is putting herself in a position where she is probably going to die trying to save the person she cares about, while she has the option to escape and let Dauf Die. Beth is forced to take a gamble. She knows she is going to die. She knows that Riful can't regenerate herself and help. It is possible that the best Beth can do is revert Alicia to a partially awakened state. If that is the case, then the org will never accept Alicia. Even if that is not the case, it is possible that the org won't accept Alicia and treat her pretty much how they treated Rafaela. It is less likely, because Alicia is probably emotionally retarded and the may not want to risk sending someone like that out into exile and it might be easier to just put her out of her misery. So Beth takes a gamble. She doesn't know if Riful will feel like she owes her something and return the favor. But it seems like the best course, and she already can see that Riful has some humanity. Anyway, she is lucky, because Riful is the most honorable AB we've have seen, based on what we've seen in the witches maw.
And even if Dauf carried his clothes around, Riful is fleeing from an Abyssal One more powerful than her and she tought about dressing him first?
Why do you want to see Dauf naked? :twitch: Riful is very considerate of the viewer's feelings. :heh:

There has been an update to that translation but that's it... also the translation is a translation of the Jap>Chin>English so context will be lost and there will be errors in it. :( There is no Jap>English translation yet.

That would be a "scanlation"- a translation is just with words, no pictures or anything :p.
Scanlations probably won't be seen for a day or two, hopefully the majority will be with Gernot's translations, Shrimpy's unofficial successor.

Hello everyone, I happened upon this site looking for claymore chapter 95 to read since I have grown quite fond of the manga and have been drawn into counting down the days til its next release. So I figure why not talk about it with fellow claymore fans to pass the time. Seeing as how I haven't read chapter 95 yet, I have no ideas to bat around and currently at the moment am too tired to bat any current ones. I found a lot of errors from Japanese to English translation. In contrast, Japanese to Chinese translation has less errors. Maybe it's the culture that's hard to translate, or authentic translation does not make sense in other language.

:heh: It's just that the talk about clothes seems to be dragging on, and this seems to be such a action backed chapter :) that it was getting kind of annoying reading a few pages of fuss about clothing. I personally thank the god of Rabona that Dauf was not seen being dragged naked through the woods. :) The phallic digletts are already bad enough to look at. :heh:

Next chapter should give us a clear indication of what kind of creature is born, when the rod succesfully pierced somebody. Maybe it's a perverse-version of their Awakened form.

She might be able to recover if someone was able to remove the diglett somehow. JB did raise a good point that much wasn't shown to us, like Riful regenerating. Riful did take heavy damage, had to revert to human form, and then couldn't regenerate. If Beth is to survive it would be like that. Saying that Riful can't survive what happened last chapter, well, it is not taking into consideration the huge power store an Abyssal One has. I wish we would've seen more. There is so much greatness to this chapter though that maybe yagi had the choice of making an action packed chapter, or making a filler chapter before an action packed one. Some of us don't like fillers.

Not necessarily; I did expect her to be alright in this chapter, and by that I mean still alive, but I expected her to be crippled and extremely wounded. Basically, a state similar to Dauf right now.
A fair theory when she was attacked by someone of Raciella's magnitude....numerously.

these rods are supposed to absorb yoki though. I can't imagine Beth would have large enough reserves to both heal such a major wound and feed a care bear at the same time.

Not to mention summoning up enough strength to push herself off the wall and remove the rod in her body, especially with that thing syphoning her every moment.

I doubt Beth can be healed/regenerate, since she'd have to cure the infection too or that will kill her. Thus making the regeneration pointless. It not like she can cut her body in half and regrow it... she is an offensive fighter after all. Plus Cynthia is likely too weak to help her...
Beth is death, but she just hasn't realized it yet, IMHO. I mean she could survive (if Yagi so chooses) but without a more formed speculation to base this speculation on, I'm not willing to support this idea just yet.
The real questions to me are: What state will Alicia be in? Will she revert back to AO when her sister dies? and if so what will she do? Will she stay human form? and if so will she still try to kill Riful? or morn her sister? seek revenge for her sister? Will she become partially awakened? Will Clare sence Alicia's (and maybe Beth's) plight and come to save them, because of Raphaela's memories influencing her? Does Riful have any way to gain control of Alicia in her weakened state? Can Clare get to her/them in time and if so does that endanger Helen/Deneve? ect...

hope it raises more interesting discussions! I totally love how Yagi always leaves us hanging at the end of every chapter haha, can't wait to see what becomes of Beth next month. It would really suck if she just dies like that after their short debut, I suspect Miria and team or somebody else will come and save Beth. And hopefully Beth still maintains the link with her sister and all is not lost.

I think you are forgetting the vast power an awakened being has. Isley was already severly wounded when Helen and Deneve happened up him. Didn't Helen even say something like, "You mean even wounded, we don't have a chance against them?" I see nothing wrong with a powerfull awakened being losing all its limbs, and then reverting to a fully functional human body.

How much more wounded did I expect? Considering the difference between Raciella and Riful, and all the damage she sustained thus far, something like Dauf actually.
Perhaps I overestimated Raciellla.....or underestimated Riful. Isley though, I would say despite all the damage Riful has sustained, was weaker then her at the time then she is right now. That's probably the trick right there - Riful was at full power, naturally, before any of this started whereas Isley was barely had any yoki at all when he died. Despite all the damage she's sustained, I would say she still has more power then he did when he died.

Just depends if Cynthia's still in the area she maybe able to help her heal, a wound like that may not be fatal Jean and Claire acted like it was possible + Miria and Deneve have both been wounded in that area and survived.

I didn't say exactly what I wanted in a debate and that's because I kept reading everyone theories. They where all driven by emotions of everyone's first impressions. They all seemed stupid to me because each one was entirely based on one persons interpretation of the events that transpired, no one considered any other angles. Meaning they where C grade at best arguments, and on top of that they where short without a clear goal other then stating an opinion (so once again C at best).
I mean there was a nice idea or two (mainly about Alicia's motives in "defending" Riful, btw why did those who said she wanted to kill not think that she was more then strong enough to kill Riful and fast enough to do it before the AF's) but no one offered much support evidence (and what they did was from this chapter alone). For example no one considered Rubel's statement to Galatea that the time after Alicia reverts to human form is still a time Beth needs to maintain control, so clearly she still could fully awaken.
I could go on but I'm sure your catching my point... not to mention that all current theories are based off a translation of a translation.

Okay, I don't know how I got sucked up into defending the viewpoint that Beth could be healed and regenerate, since I stated much earlier that Beth is probably a goner. I think this all depends on what an infection is in this case. Is the infection one that spreads? Possibly not. We've seen Deneve be alright by removing her arm. It is possible, though highly, extremely -- a long shot -- unlikely that Beth could recover if someone removed the Diglett from her stomach. Riful isn't a candidate, since she is severely crippled as far as Abyssal Ones go. But if Beth has near Abyssal powers, then Beth should be able to go recover. Also lets not forget that Awakening after removing the digglet would solve all problems as far as survival go.

I disagree with you there. I think that Beth realizes that she is probably going to die. She brings her sister back, which makes it more likely that she does know, because if she died without returning Alicia, then Alicia humanity would be gone.

I don't know the answer to many of those. :) That would require the next chapter. I can only say what I think. 1) Alicia will be in a emotionally retarded state. 2) I'm speculating that she might be in an partially awakened state, but if she is going to follow Riful then she won't be a claymore much longer. so she is either going to remain partially awakened, which would be slightly weaker than riful, how the lady said she wanted it. or she would be fully awakened. 3) I doubt she will kill her mom. Morning depends on how much Alicia understands about the situation concerning her sister. 4) Riful does have a way to gain control of Alicia, if Alicia is a child in mind, possibly a consciousness the Org was unaware existed either if they thought Alicia and Beth were the same thing, that Beth Consciousness controlled both bodies. It is possible that Alicia is less developed that Beth. 5) Why do we want Clare to get to Alicia in Time? I don't see a purpose for it that would make the story more interesting so far.
Anyway. :) Who knows what will happen. And yes, I do have certain desires of paths I'd like to see, but that doesn't mean that I won't use logic to build speculation on those possible paths. I don't see what is wrong about speculating the path you like when there is a fork in the road as long as you are open to the other path too.
