INTRODUCING ULTRAMARINES – A WARHAMMER 40,000 MOVIE!

The moment fans have been waiting for is finally here... for the first time, the Warhammer 40,000 universe will be realised in a feature-length movie on DVD.

Ultramarines is a 70-minute sci-fi thriller that will use CGI and state-of-the-art animation production techniques. Games Workshop is delighted to be working with UK-based production company Codex Pictures, who have the momentous task of bringing the Warhammer 40,000 universe to the screen.

Hmm, never heard of the studio. Oh well, if GW keep as tight a leash on it as they do other things using their IP, it should turn out to be decent. Shame it's about the Ultramarine's, though, there's far better chapters. :D

I wish it was about any other chapter/army/race. Ultramrines are probably the most bland and boring part of the 40k universe. It would be awesome if it was about the Horus Heresy instead. Or about the Dark Angels.

Waiting for an appropriate time to link this has paid off it seems. I can hardly think of a more appropriate time:

Just to be safe, this is fan made and has nothing to do with the upcoming movie whatsoever.

The marines forums all over the interwebz first picked it up early this year, due to the timing of April Fool's I didn't give it much thought... Looks like it's true.

But who are Codex Pictures? It almost sounds akin to a Forgeworld spinoff of Games Workshop itself. If that is really so, I do hope they are proliferic in their work. FOR THE EMPEROR!

and FER DIE KAISER!!! =P

@Keroko: ...pleased aren't we? :uhoh:
