So do you guys think we will finally get a hint of what happened to Rene in this chapter? :heh: It is a bit maddening having to wait to get a sign.

Anyway, this somewhat seemingly uneventful spoiler doesn't have the magic words at the end of it.
True, forgot about it.
But are the magic words even all that required? haven't we had true spoilers that didn't have those words at the end?
Camilla informed me that I've had an account on here for about a year, but I was somewhat lurking here since the spring before. But anyway, since I've been here, every single spoiler that was true has had those magic words.

Rough Translation for the fake spoiler:
Alicia lose control of her youki and awakened for real.
Ritful tries to talk to Alicia but Alicia jumps away to another place.
Protruding out from Beth body are dozens of Awakened Cats creatures. it seems they are heading towards the villages where Raki and Pricslla are..
Scene to Clare where they easily took out all the cat creatures but a shard was found penetrating into Helen's Body and the trio panics when the shard starts to feed on Helen's body. Something about rafella's memories kicks in and then..Clare understands something..
Clare tries to remove the parasitic shards using windcutter ...? (High Speed Surgery.)
Last Scene to the Village where we see multiple cat creatures attacking the villagers and the Cat creatures are shown running back to the Rafella/Lucillea awaken's body and merging with it after feeding on humans.
Miria, Tab, Galeata and the small strong one can be seen overlooking the village.

*blink, a new chapter thread? so soon?
That was fast, and we only have one questionable spoiler.
At any rate, I wonder why the Cat creatures are returning to Raciella. Perhaps she now absorbs their power or knowledge.

The Luciella wannabes wouldn't gain any knowledge since they don't appear to have any vital organs, and their sole purpose is destruction. I don't see how Raciella can gain any form of intelligence from them.

Well it has been speculated before, since Raciella is Immobile, that the cat girls of doom are used to feed her Yoki.
But there are several things that bother me about this spoiler. First off, it seems somewhat counter productive to the story that instead of advancing things things don't advance, and in fact Alica and Riful interaction seems somewhat counter productive. I mean either kill Riful or let her gain her ally, but don't leave unresolved like that.
Also this is the first time we heard of one of those rods turning into more than one cat girl. I'm a bit skeptical, but we'll see.
It would also be stupid if Prissy Village is right by where Riful and Clare are, and then if she does somehow not meet up with any of them. I'm surprised at how close it sounds that Prissy is. Also, I think Priscilla and Raki wouldn't let the village get hurt without a fight. So no mention of Prissy and Raki doing something, and the cat girls just leaving the village unscathed just seems a bit cheap.

Ah you must be new around here. A new thread is generally created once spoilers become avaiable. Then people talk about Spoilers before the Raw is out, and then they talk about the raw what they see in pictures, before the translation is out. Anyway, raws will probably show up on the 3rd or 4th

---A shame, because I've been hoping to see for a long while now, Raciella's human form or at least some form other then her big mountain form.
It's sad, but it's feeling more and more certain that her current form is all she has.
-I agree; I don't like the idea of Alicia just leaving, it seems like a waste. Now what? is she going to become a new Abyssal? isn't the story past that stage?
And what of Riful now? is she going to be left all alone?
-Tell me about it; seeing whether or not they fight is something I'm looking forward too, but like Alicia and Riful, we get neither. Their's no way the village can be so close; Raciella and all the action is deep in the west, at the very least, their is a sizable distance between the fighting and the village. This spoiler however seems to imply they are right next door.
Their isn't anything glaring or something about it that's clearly fake, it all seems logical which is the sad thing, because it means their is a slight chance it all might be true, disappointing as it is.
Hopefully we get something else.

And yes, for god's sake, can we finally get a clue on Renee please? :heh:

Considering that she's practically two people stuck together _like a deformed offspring_ I doubt she would really look normal even in her human form. And considering this story of Raciella being a single consciousness, the double face doesn't really make any sense. I'd have thought this new creature would've been a single body with a single face. Oh well.

It's a shame, I was hoping this new form was her "battle mode" or whatever where she has a view all around her(she did attack in all directions); for mobility, she'd transform into something else. I guess she relies on her sheer size to dominate everything.
Yes, the Ghosts beating the Cats so easily is silly....this whole spoiler is silly.

about raki's home village, where they were in chapter 95 and meet with lune/renee,
it seems that it is indeed not too far away from the destroyer's location (riful's 2nd lair location, presumable in the western lands of luatrec since that is her land-territory)
-----------------------------------------------------------------
i'm actually trying to slowly do a map project, so this is (just some of) what i got/know about the "geography/location" of the island:
(if anyone is interested in working with me on this map project, let me know! I could use some help, instead of doing it all by myself)
i believe this small island is to the west of the home continent. (see the eastern lands of sutare below for why i believe this)
the island's shape is that of a "+" or an unfolded box. it has a single central "square" territory surrounded by 4 adjacent "square" territories.
the organization doesn't recognize the central "square" land-teritory so instead they "draw" an X shaped borders in it causing all the 4 adjacent lands-teritories to touch at the X's center.
the organization also keeps most of their claymores in this unrecognized central land/territory so they can quickly respond to anywhere on the island.
but there's also 47 regions within the whole island that the organization has "drawn up" which in general contains a single claymore "patrol" for.
also remember that the island is small. it seems that "3 days of travel" is the furthest distance between stuff, so i'm gonna guess that at most, it would take ~ a month to go from one side of the island to the other. it is a really small island.
there's the northern lands of Alfonse:
This is Isley's starting location and the starting territory he "controls/owns". There's pieta village, which is where the 24 claymores battled rigard and 30 (3+27) awakened ones, and it is the border village into the northern lands of alfonse sitting in the only pass through the harsh icy mountains. there's several unnamed villages that were destroyed by isley on his march-compaign southward. a good ways north of pieta village is another village called Dabi. This is the village that has the slave trade prison cells underground, where raki was held. after isley's march compaign south into the southern lands, the northern lands becomes a "no-man's land". isley no longer controls it (since he's in and controls the southern lands now) and no humans live in the northern lands anymore, only some remaining awakened ones, and the 7 ghosts of the north, until they set out to get revenge of the organization.
there's the eastern lands of Sutare (manga) / Sutafu (anime) :
This is the Organization's and "Alicia's" territory-land that they "control/own". The Organization's head quarters is in the village of Staff, city of the far east. This village is presumably the furthest east village on the island and where presumably the Organization's ship coming from their continent landed. there's another village to the southwest of Staff hidden in the middle of a forest where there's a report in the Organization's archives of its villagers seeing the black coats for the first time and being shocked because they had never seen yomas before. This suggests strongly that black coats are indeed yoma/claymores like their own Claymore forces. there's another village, which is the closest village to Staff, which has a forest in between the two villages, where trainee teresa liked to run away often to. also, this village houses the Zemas parents of Alicia and Beth babies, which the Organization took away. Rafaela was in this village while exiled and heard about it almost right after it happened. also, run away trainee teresa, would meet exiled rafaela in the forest between this village and Staff. also, just outisde of staff, alicia destroys the 11 awakened ones that went east from the remaining 23 awakened ones of isley's forces trying to attack the Organization's headquarters. lastly, luciela awakens in the headquarters/Staff and destroys its structures/buildings and kills half of the claymore force, including the trainees, at the time, while rafaela tried to stop her, eventually getting luciela to leave. Abyssal One, Luciela, than heads to the Southern lands of mucha to make/claim as her own.
The southern lands of Mucha:
This is the territory/land that Luciela "controls/owns" as her own. it is also the home of Raki, Priscilla, and Helen. raki's home village, called Doga (by the way), is where the manga begins and where we find raki and priscilla at in chapter 95, where they meet lune/renee (also riful captures lune/renee afterwards and takes her back to her wstern lands), and than the village gets "missle-striked" by the destroyer. possibly, the village where isley was staying at is helen's home village (i haven't got this confirmed yet in my research for the map project), where Helen, Deneve, Isley, dietrich, and the Abyss Feeders all clash. There's also a forest not too far off where Dietrich was. Isley after battling luciela, now "controls" the southern lands as well or at least stays in them, until he is finally killed by the abyss feeders.
it is unknown (by me) if the later visited vilages like stora and egon in the beginning of the manga are still in the southern lands near Doga, or if they are in the central territory-land of Toulouse/Robana or the western lands of Luatrec. the path clare (and raki) take in the beginning of the manga from Doga is for the most part west.
also note, that helen and deneve get to the destroyers location, meaning that they, in the southern lands of mucha and the village, weren't very far off from the western lands of luatrec and riful's 2nd lair / destroyer's location.
this also probably means that Doga (raki and priscilla) in the southern lands of mucha, is also close to the western lands of luatrec /destroyer's location, so his projectile missles didn't have to travel too far to reach them.
western lands of luatrec:
this is riful's territory-land. she seems to have two lairs. the first seen lair is witches maw in the zakol mountains, and the other lair (where lune/renee and R+L is being held) and the destroyer's location is unknown, though.
the zakol mountains is near the big town of Hanel (this has the statues of the "Twin goddesses of love"), which is near the mountain valley where irene was and the surrounding forest where clare and ophelia fought and the nearby villages of Hanel (which is near the zakol mountains and riful's first lair location) and gonal / gonahl (where clare, raki, ophelia, and the female awakened one were).
central lands of Toulouse or Robana (i don't know which it is) :
i think in the center of this territory or on the center of the X of the organization's borders through this land-teritory, is the holy city of Rabona (not to be confused with the teritories possible name of Robana).

My only critique: the Southern Lands don't have an official name yet. Mucha is where Priscilla was born, but their is nothing officially stating that's the name of the entire region.

interested in helping me?
i've got quite a lot of research done. I have actually been going through the manga page by page writing down everything to do with the making of a map (as well as other stuff too, while i'm at it), and slowly kinda getting a map together, as best i can.
i still can't tell where teresa and clare were in the flash back. they were also traveling in a west direction, however i don't know what land they were in... for all i know they could be in ANY of the lands except the northern lands of alphonse (duh).
however, teresa mentions to clare, at one of the villages they visit, that teresa had visited there long ago. This could very well be the same village that is the nearest to Staff (organization headquarters) in the eastern lands of sutare, which young trainee teresa often ran off to. SO maybe, teresa and clare are traveling west within the eastern lands of sutare (and maybe also getting into the central lands of toulouse/robana). but, i'm not sure, i'll have to go back and compare how the two villages and their surrounding areas look, to tell if they are the same village or not.
and i'm pretty sure Mucha is the name of the teritory-land, but i'll certainly go and re-check it, in case you're right and it's just priscilla's village name
but i'm quite confident in this case you're wrong, but i'll certainly re-check it

miria, tabitha, galatea, and miata getting ready for a big fight...i'd love if it that happened...even if we had to wait til ch97 to see any action, it's been too long since we've seen anyone of them in a decent fight!

One thing I forgot to mention that pretty much seals the deal with how fake that spoiler is though: Where is "mama"?
I can't believe, I refuse, that Miata would go by herself to this very dangerous location. They care for eachother and, regardless of the massive power difference, I can never imagine Clarice not going with them, especially if they are purposefully bringing her along in case of danger. In a way, it's like Miria and Galatea are using Miata as a crutch, and not bringing Clarice along is worse.
It's ridiculous, no way Miria and Galatea would say something like "Miata, we need you in case something goes wrong, you're strong....oh, not you Clarice, you're too weak, you stay here by yourself", it's sheer rubbish in every way.
If Galatea does fight, hopefully she will come out of her nun cosplay and grow back her eyes and kick ass.
Well, if she is going(which means the spoiler is true and, god forbid, it isn't), fighting is probably going to go down, but not regenerating her eyes. If she planned to do that, she would have done it years ago.

galatea's ability to sense youki has greatly increased due to her not having eyes, and she didn't seem to have any trouble fighting miata without them (who knows what the outcome with agatha would've been had miata joined forces with her) so i think i can live with her being blind

ignoring the fake spoiler....
do you think that miria, galatea, tabatha, miata, and clarice will launch an attack on the organization (it be an excellent time to, with alicia and beth out of commission fighting the destroyer, leaving the organization defenseless for an attack by miria n co. And also only alicia and beth are stronger than the ghosts as they clearly were stronger than rank 3 audrey of the organization. the organization has no power at all in their claymore forces, except in alicia and beth, who aren't at the organization to protect it..) or go help out against the destroyer to help save their friends (clare n co) ?

that's true, but this may also be their only time where the Organization is so vulnerable, is such a "non-threat" as you put it. this might be their only chance to get the organization.
though, they have to decide, over this vs. helping clare n co. against the destroyer
and considering how weak the organization is, i'm sure especially all of them (miria, galatea, tabatha, miata, and clarice) could easily beat audrey and the rest of the claymores possibly gaurding the organization.
maybe the organization has abyss feeders, but still they should ahve no trouble against them.
*especially....miata....
miata is perfect for killing the abyss feeders, since she doesn't use yoki, but rather the natural 5 senses (sight, smell, taste, sound-hearing, touch-feeling) "on steroids" making it seem like she has a "6th sense".

Rabona is a huge length away from Staff, by the time they mount an assault and get there, who knows what will happen to their comrades.
Miria, above all else, is a commander who cares for her troops and she will not leave any of the them behind. By leaving, she will be betraying her own orders to meet back with her in Rabona, on a mission that should have included Claire, Helen and Deneve to begin with.
Without Alicia and Beth, it doesn't matter if they wait, it will be open season on the Organization for a long time to come, until they find someone who is worthy of Number 1, nevermind 2. Even then, the odds of that person being Abyssal-level? nigh-impossible.
This is what they get for putting all their eggs in one basket; they put everything they had into Alicia and Beth and now, they are both gone and all they have left is a filler generation who can't do squat.

great post shiek...
concurs with everything....
especially about miria choosing her comrades over the destruction of the organization! certainly agrees with this being miria's character !
and besides as you pointed out.... if alicia and beth are wiped out... they can topple the organization anytime.... or at least until the organization some how would recover.... though they wouldn't wait for that to happen....
----------------------------------------
though personally, i'm not so sure rabona is that (that) far away.... but meh...
--------------
except maybe the black coats reveal their true forms and awaken into destroyer level beings themselves....rofl... the Organization always got tricks up their sleeves.... never know....

Rubel had better start turning the wheels of his plan. I'm a little tired of his word games.
As much as I want to see Galatea-sama again (and ignoring Sassarai's impudence), the spoiler is clearly fake - no magic words at the end.
@HegemonKhan:
for your Teresa location speculation, if what Cynthia said is not a new poilcy, then the top 3 digits were traditionally deployed in the corners of the continents. That would narrow down Teresa's location to either the West or the South.
HegemonKhan

i'm not familar with what you are talking about with what cynthia said,
any chance you could post the source, so i can take a look myself at what you're refering to?
cuz if it is indeed true, it'd help me construct the map i'm working on.
any piece of info, is desparately needed, lol !
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
in not knowing what you are refering to,
i'd say what you said has to be wrong because:
if the strongest claymores (rank 1-5, or what you said, rank 1-3) were indeed in the north, west, and south, just like the 3 abyssal ones, than the abyssal ones could simply attack the defenseless organization in the east.
especially if they are in the corners of the north, west, and south too...
it just doesn't make any sense.
the organization needs it's strongest claymores near it, to prevent the 3 abyssal ones from attack and destroying it.

Now you see, Gangsta said the same thing. If both of you say that, I guess I have to believe you.
Funny though, I could have sworn that the words were never 100% necessary - I strangely think that we have had spoilers that ended up true, that didn't have them.

Not know if anyone else said it already (don't feel like reading through all the missed posts) but according to Priss, Raciella has no desire for meat so the catgirls shouldn't be feeding on people.

Raciella isn't feeding on anything, she never said anything about these monsters.
Because these monsters sure as hell don't have any problem attacking the Ghosts or infecting them to grow stronger, and I count that as "feeding".

the projectiles (not "catgirls") feed on yoki, which they use to become super powerful awakened ones, or your (now) "catgirls".
so they aren't feeding on meat which they (parts of the destroyer) have no interest in, like CLARE said. maybe both clare and rafala) said this, but i know (well pretty sure) clare did.
(i'm pretty sure this is clare explaining the destroyer to helen and deneve, just after clare escaped from the mind-dream world or illusion, and met with helen and deneve coming towards her and the destroyer. clare yelling at them to get away lol, to run away with her, not to get closer to the destroyer, lol)
the destroyer (and its parts, the projectile awakened ones or "catgirls") cares about only one thing: Destruction (hence its name, the DESTROYER). the projectiles don't want to feed (on meat), they want to kill-destroy stuff, but they need energy (yoki), which they steal from the claymores they hit to make more powerful awakened ones or the "catgirls".

I'm talking about the fake spoiler, it says they feed on humans then merge with Raciella which i see as a form of feeding, taking over a body is a bit different and we are really yet to see what the result of a parasite process is.

yes, the projectile awakened ones can take themselves full of the yoki they stolen from the claymores back to the destroyer, as well.
we in chapter 95, have only seen them fight with the claymores though, but there's certainly the possibility they (the projectiles) can bring the yoki back to the destroyer as well.
for the claymore manga:
feeding should be feeding, aka (yoma, awakened ones, and abyssal ones) eating (human) meat-flesh-guts.
stealing yoki, shouldn't be called feeding. causes confusion with the normal understanding of feeding.

unfortunately, right now at least, galatea seems to have gotten soft or human-like, much like teresa had. galatea caring about the human inhabitants of the holy city of robana.
hopefully, galatea doesn't follow in teresa's footsteps of decline and weakness.... prefering a normal human-sedentary and "peaceful" life as a nun taking care of the human children in the holy city of robana... instead of being a warrior and dying a glorious death, lol.

..awakened ones *CAN* take themselves.....
notice that i used: CAN
this isn't based on anything yet seen in the manga (chapter 94 and 95), but maybe chapter 96 will show this like the fake spoiler you say seems to mention, since it isn't there. but using common sense-logic, it's reasonable to assume they could return to the destroyer with the yoki they stolen and re-merge with the destroyer, giving it the yoki they stolen.
------------------------------------------------
as for the stealing of yoki, look at the pictures in/of chapters 94 and 95 really closely. they seem to be stealing/drawing out the yoki from the claymores and into themselves...than using it to make a more powerful awakened one.
-------------------------------------------------------
one comment i need to make that i think is accurate and can help some people understand:
powerful yomas (be they awakened ones, abyssal ones, or the destroyer) can split parts of themselves off from their main body.
the destroyer is able to do this. those projectiles-awakened ones-"catgirls" are merely parts of its body. think of these projectiles as an advanced or more powerful form of duph's rods.
duph is another example. his rods are actually parts of his body as well. but they can only be shot out by him. they can't turn into awakened ones and move around freely.

i'm not familar with what you are talking about with what cynthia said,
any chance you could post the source, so i can take a look myself at what you're refering to?
cuz if it is indeed true, it'd help me construct the map i'm working on.
any piece of info, is desparately needed, lol !
I'm refering to chapter 83 pages 4-5.
One of the translations had Cynthia saying what I said.
I'll have another look at it.
To the best of my ability, Cynthia says:
"The Organization's 1, 2 and 3, in order to be able to cope with anywhere, are assigned to this area"
(damn the close up - can't see where she's pointing)
I'm going to have to re-read this in context though to be sure... Japanese is a pain when it comes to context - even for people who know what they're doing (which excludes me often enough).
if someone else wants to give it a shot, though:
”組織のナンバー123はどこへでも対応できるようにこの辺りに配属されます”
”そして力の均等を考えて下位ナンバーも中央付近になる事が多いようですね”

hmm, you know, cynthia is probably pointing to or adressing the central territory, since it's mentioned else where that most claymores are around the central teritory, since it obviously lets them get to anywhere on the island, being the central territory (duh).
for example... if you ever played games like star craft or war craft... and played on a "Star" or " * " type map...
usually you don't want to be in the middle... lol.. as it is usually a FFA game and you just get crushed in the middle, but it is obvious that if you are/were able to control the middle, you can attack or get to anywhere else on the "star" map.
(i'll take a look to when i have time... i got school work i need to get working on...already...)
thanks for the source.... i'll definately take a look at it, just not right now...
We did, that was last chapter remember? :heh:
Well obviously I mean the follow up. Like if she's gonna die and etc. I'd be surprised if there wasn't any mention of Beth in this chapter. And omg I want one of those catgirls to attack Raki so Priscella and go FREE
.
i'm actually trying to slowly do a map project, so this is (just some of) what i got/know about the "geography/location" of the island:
:heh::heh::heh:
Funny! I always thought the main land was to the Southeast (well East to South, I should say). My reasoning is simpler then yours... Claymore just has too many parallels to ancient England and not Japan.
In short the island is full of Caucasians and it in a + shape (plus the way it is divided by the general public, get into later) which reminds me of England. Look in the spoiler below and you'll see a wall the Romans built in ancient England and if you don't include the land north of the wall... well, England looks like a +, just like the island Claymore takes place upon.
Look at the land south of the wall, then compare it to Cynthia's drawing.
http://media-2.web.britannica.com/eb-media/95/19695-004-ECF3D494.gif
http://i680.photobucket.com/albums/vv162/LordRyus/Map.jpg
As you can see by the comparison they are very close!
Since the island shape looks so close to the part of England that Rome conqured I always just put the mainland in my mind to the southeast but father away, since if I follow the parallel of the island being England then rest of Europe is to the east and south of England. Plus just the general idea of the mainland being at the same latitude as the northern lands isn't an idea I like in general, since I imaging Yagi picking a different geography to draw to show the readers that we're now in a different land. I imagine the main land being as big as the "Old World" here.
I always saw the island being broken into 47 regions is for Japanese readers... so they can have some feeling of "home" in a European story. Plus 47 is cooler then an even number like 50, rounded numbers are used too much.
Well, as you can see my reasoning for the direction of the mainland is rather simple but I like it. Oh, and before I forget there is a parallel of Rome controlling a small island like England and the Organization doing the same with the island. In fact if you want to you could even draw another parallel with Rome fighting Huns and the Org fighting the Dragon's kin. :heh:
Ok now for how the general public see the land. Here is a map of how the regions England was didvided into. They are Northumbria (the parallel of the northern lands of Alfonse), East Anglia (The parallel of the eastern lands of Sutare (manga) / Sutafu (anime)), Wessex (the parallel of the southern lands of Mucha), Wales (the parallel of the western lands of luatrec), and Mercia (the parallel of the central lands of Toulouse or Robana (I forget what it is too :heh:)).
http://www.theancientweb.com/images/explore/England_Germanic_Migration_to_Britain.jpg
Now for another funny parallel England is now 46 counties but in it has 48 ceremonial counties... an average of 47.
Also the civilization in Claymore is clearly closer to England than Japan. So I always imagine ancient England in my mind when reading Claymore, never Japan.
Well, that's my thoughts on the matter but in the long run as long as the main land is East, South, or West it doesn't really matter to the story, as long as it's not due North since no two superpowers could come into existence in a frozen wasteland. :p There could be no farms to support the population requirements needed for a civilization to develop. :heh: Yagi will tell use the mainlands direction eventually. :p
Yeah but her looks has gone down.
From cool/cold to kind/gentle. They killed her character!
*waits for the defenders of Garatea to attackzzz*
Not an attack but...
I always viewed her cool/cold nature stemming from her working for the organization. She saw many the atrocities they committed but believing she had no choice but to let it happen if she wanted to defend humanity. However Peita was just too much for her to take and she just simply left there employment believing any harm to them and humanity would become prey the the yoma again.
I see her later kind/gentle nature as coming from escaping the organization and finding acceptance as a human being after taking the role as a blind nun. I suspect she felt truly accepted from the children but only truly accepted by the church later from the church after they accept her back after finding out what she is. So the church and orphans are to Galatea what Raki is to Clare, the only differences are Clare had Raki for months when Galatea had a few years as a nun and Clare has far worse emotional scars than Galatea ever did. So the Galatea we see now is what Clare may one day become and kinda what Teresa was in her final days.
Now if you don't like that then that is your choice but I find it great character development. Plus the development she under took is in similar to Teresa (walking away from the org and defending others)... so it fits the over story of "Claymores" being just normal humans forced into a tragic situation. Anyone in that situation would desire normalcy and seeing one of them get it, if only for a while. Plus her now choosing to help Miria and give up her desired life to help out again, well I find truly speaks volumes of her character.
So, for the record I'm not a Galatea "fanboy" but the way her character has developed is incredible IMHO. However, your right she is less "badass" but I find she's still amazing.

On Galatea's return...although I would like her to return back to fighting mode...I think she will prefer her life as a nun looking after childeren and protecting the city of rabon from youma...I don't see her joining the ghosts into the battle front with the organization or the destroyer for that matter...she'll most likly act as a stationary subject protecting the town and people within...till yagi sensei decides to kill her...

Tagging onto what Ryus said, All Claymores show their overall negative traits because of their tragic lives, the way they are treated by humans etc. Living as a nun, her warmer nature was bound to happen, partly because she is finally being accepted, and partly because it's who she is.
Cold, arrogant stuck-up Galatea was who she was forced to be, warm loving Galatea was who she was meant to be.
for your Teresa location speculation, if what Cynthia said is not a new poilcy, then the top 3 digits were traditionally deployed in the corners of the continents. That would narrow down Teresa's location to either the West or the South.
:uhoh:
Either your wrong or what I read was mistranslated. In what I read (in the spoiler below) Cynthia talks about the central land then says the top 3 are spread out in that land... not spread out over the whole continent. So the Top 3 are in the central land so they can get to the any "hotspot" on the island quickly.

The way she talked when the Ghosts fought Agatha....she's still got some sarcasm, spunk or whatever you call it. The "old" Galatea isn't completely gone.

Funny though, I could have sworn that the words were never 100% necessary - I strangely think that we have had spoilers that ended up true, that didn't have them.
Well, whatever.
While I've been here, the real spoiler has always had the magic words at the end, which means that while you been here it has been that way too. I have no way of knowing before then. What'cha mean? :) you want Galatea to shut it these days too. :heh: Actually, I always saw Galatea as a nice person. The plain simple truth is that most Claymores are Arrogant in some form. I mean you can look at the type of person Teresa was before she met Clare. Irene has a bit of arrogance in her personality but she is a nice person. Helen and Deneve. Obviously Ophelia. I think it is pretty much norm with a few exceptions like Jean.

You're partially right. Remember Galatea-sama did ask Miria if there was any way that she could help and then was disappointed at the answer. If Miria would let Galatea do something, then Galatea will, and then after it is all done return to the children.

First off Teresa hadn't fully accepted humans yet... only Clare. You see she had no reason like humans and a reason to hate them that is until the village cheered for her after saving that kid... free of charge. Teresa would have mellowed a bit more after accepting them. Teresa's attitude towards humans was deminstrated many time for example didn't seem to have a problem in ripping off villages, scaring them, flinging blood at them, opening a door with a sword, or kicking a child. All this was very likely due to her being sold to the org which would give most a reason to hate all humans or at the very least not trust them... hence Orsay's comment once she killed the bandits.

Also don't judge Galatea too much based on the Agatha fight, 90% of it was Agatha, Mitia, & Clarice anyways... They hogged most of the arc (hell it's first chapter is called the Child Warrior for a reason :p, well in the VIZ version it is... forget in the direct translation).
As for after the fight just ask yourself why would she be badass to the Ghosts?
;) I think you might have just misread Galatea from the start. She might joke a bit and have a sarcastic streak, but she has always been a good person. At the end of the witches maw, Galatea could've easily killed both Clare and Jean and returned Clare's body to the org if she wanted to.
:heh: where is Cyclone to defend the Lady's honor and smite thee. :D
Agreed! She was always a good person which is why I like her characters development.

Yeah, I guess I forgot that part, maybe I'm stretching the vanity part, though it's still definitely her biggest personality trait, or was anyway. Helen is brash, but Galatea was more or less in love with herself.
Ugh, how much longer...
Which I think is the Norm, especially if you are a single digit. :) Look at Teresa's Time: Teresa, Irene, Sophia, Noel. All of those could be considered Arrogant in their own way, with Priscilla being different in that she is self righteous.
I see Claymores as Girls who have all sorts of personality and psychological problems, considering how the org brings them up. If Galatea was always special, maybe the org let her know it.

So, for the record I'm not a Galatea "fanboy" but the way her character has developed is incredible IMHO. However, your right she is less "badass" but I find she's still amazing.
After all the nice (and very accurate) you things you said about her, how do you resist being a fanboy? Give in to the dark side - you know you want to.
till yagi sensei decides to kill her...
Wash your mouth out with battery acid.
The way she talked when the Ghosts fought Agatha....she's still got some sarcasm, spunk or whatever you call it. The "old" Galatea isn't completely gone.
Even when she fought Miata and said stuff like "If I get this sword into you, you'll be able to sleep softly even on the softest bed".
Oh good greif! No No No.
The line is "If you put one of these in it[A BED!], you can sleep even a soft comfortable bed." (this is from memory - but I spent long enough on this quote way back when to remember it accurately).
Galatea-sama, being a goddess and all, had simply figured out and was sharing the solution to the Claymore sleeping difficulties that Teresa introduced us to. i.e. That Claymores have trouble sleeping in soft beds and prefer to stick their sword into the ground and sleep sitting up! She trash talked no one but Duff, and that was so classy and witty, that who could not love that?

Either your wrong or what I read was mistranslated. In what I read (in the spoiler below) Cynthia talks about the central land then says the top 3 are spread out in that land... not spread out over the whole continent. So the Top 3 are in the central land so they can get to the any "hotspot" on the island quickly.
http://media.onemanga.com/mangas/00000045/000077282/04.jpg
http://media.onemanga.com/mangas/00000045/000077282/05.jpg
Quite possible I am mis-reading somehow, but:
The way I read it is not that they are assigned to a hotspot, but able to cope with a hotspot anywhere. It's a sublte difference perhaps, but it still doesn't tell us where they are assigned. They are assigned somewhere though - Rubel says that Alicia and Beth have assigned locations at some point (and that they're almost never there). This is what I said. I never denied the top were mobile units or anything.
I have 3 or 4 different english scanlations of that chapters, and none seem to agree exactly on the translation either though.
Oh good greif! No No No.

:heh::heh::heh:

nice post..... never even realize the closeness-similarity to england (sorry i mean U.K., any scotish or irish forgive me, i'm american and am used to "england" for the name of the country)
though, there's nothing that ACTUALLY says it is connected to U.K. It probably very well is based on the U.K. as you done a terrific job showing me/us, but that doesn't mean it is the U.K. It doesn't mean that the continent has to be south east of the island.
and when i said east, i meant in general east of the island. the continent could be north-east, (directly) east, south-east, or any of the 180 degrees from north and south of the island towards the east, for that matter.
you don't need to explain european history to me, i'm an american, and we are crammed with "europe" history in our education system, and I personally love european (especially U.K.'s) medieval-dark age history, and i am a "history-buff"-well i like history anyways, which is why i love claymore so much, hehe. *grins*
------------------------------------------------------------------
this isn't a history site for the dark-age medieval U.K. and europe ... you don't want to get me started.....
back than, the U.K. was known as britain or england
back than, europe was known as britany (= greater "britain" = europe continent)
and i believe.... (any european feel free to correct me if i got any of this wrong)
west was wales. welsh ethnicity.
north was scotish, irish, worgs (natives of the island). later vikings would conquer-control it. hadrian (a roman) built his wall protecting the "wild-barbaric" north from the "civilized" roman controlled south.
east was saxony. controlled-conquered by the saxons which came from "germany" (germanic tribes area, the "old" roman empire was still in existence, and "germany" wasn't christened yet by charlagmane and wasn't part of the holy roman empire yet. think Gladiator movie)
south was roman controlled (i'm not sure about this, were the celts, half natives half romans? or is this completely wrong?)
Ryus, I'm gonna to let you finish. I'm sorry, but old Galatea is the best Galatea of all time!

I'm sure you'll have others driving you nuts when they read your comments in the next few days. Hopefully they don't drive you too crazy. I only resonded since I'm a big fan of character development in Claymore... I'm not a major "fanboy" of any one. My 3 favorite characters are 1) Clare 2) Teresa 3)Raphaela, still haven't figured out who my #4 on are... too many good choices.

I'm American too. No need to treat me like a bloody red coat. :p
As I said in my previous post the true direction of the mainland doesn't really matter but I just choose to place it to the east to south of the island in my mind until Yagi reveals it's true location.
Oh, and I didn't know a lot of that before I read Claymore either. I went out an researched it myself, no one help me so the post is entirely my own idea. Part of the research I did was when I first started to read Claymore and the rest I did when we had a discussion here to reasonably determine to islands population (a rather fun week, too bad I can't recall where that discussion is located).
I suspect the island is a mixture of England and Japan though. Since there are some similarities to Japan too but not as many that I spotted. Then again I not as good with the history of Japan as English history.
EDIT: In short I just felt like sharing my thoughts on the direction of the mainland... I was in no way saying I right, your wrong/stupid, or that it even matters. I still won't except due north for the location of the mainland, since any ship would crash into iceburgs long before getting to any "mainland" especially based on the northern region being eternally locked in Ice.

about your stuff about galatea, thanks ! i never realized that side of her, always saw her as being kind-soft-hearted (saving-not killing claymores like clare, caring about other claymores, helping the children as a nun, and being a rebel against the organization)
but i wanted to say one thing about the manga pages you used:
all of that, that galatea did, could have been an elaborate plan to distract agatha (galatea is the "God Eye" after all and even more powerful in her yoki now that she is blind), in order to help and enabling clare to get into position to kill agatha. and maybe this was out of kindness as well. but you certainly showed she's got a bit of teresa's "bravido" (can't spell) in her too.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
the continent is NOT due north. never said it was. it could be 1 degree off from due north, but that be a very odd angle to sail from the continent from, lol.

Yes, besmirchers of the faith, reminds me of this one guy who translates Japanese and then attempts to run around Sith tradition by having a massive army of Dark side followers. As I recall, he does say some pretty evil things in response to petty aggravations, so maybe he has potential. But as for this blasphemous suggestion that there are Sith Acolytes running around on this forum without my authority, be warned, the Dark Lord of Animesuki has little time for such pathetic beings. I will endeavor to make their deaths "both quick and painful"-(Darth Bandon quote)

DARTH REVAN DIDN'T FOLLOW THE RULE OF TWO! It was created 3,000 after Darth Revan by Darth Bane! Who fought his "ghost" (and two others ancient Sith Lords) after telling him his plan.
DARTH REVAN DIDN'T FOLLOW THE RULE OF TWO! It was created 3,000 after Darth Revan by Darth Bane!
Yes, that's true, but my namesake did start the tradition of there being a Dark Lord and Apprentice, and since my character's long since dead in the Star Wars universe and I follow modern Sith tradition, Cyclone would then be violating Bane's and my own "Rule of Two".
Besides, Cyclone was clearly trying to recruit his own Sith without my "authority", which can only mean he's interested in one thing...being an opposing Sith Lord.

So, in other words, he's a good student. Dumb for doing it so openly but at least he's got the right idea. :p

Oh, and Luke Skywalker is finally dead!
It was also said in Legacy that the Force Ghosts of long-dead Sith Lords did not recognize the authority of Darth Krayt, and also did not recognize him as the true Lord of the Sith. Therefore I still stand by my assertion about the "Rule of Two".
He's only sixty in the books prior to Legacy, so he's got some ways to go to his death. I don't expect to see him offed until at least 65.

Revan's philosphy didn't accept Bane's idea either, true it didn't go as far as ghosts rising up and not recognize the authority of Darth Bane but you get the idea.

I expect him dead by the end (if not sooner) of the current book series (Fate of the Jedi) whether that be 5 years like you say or sooner/later. After all Fate of the Jedi has just introduced the "New Sith" (Rule of One). Plus the current Graphic Novel Series (Legacy) has confirmed his death before he reaches 150. :p

Here goe's yet another edit, yes I've read parts of "Legacy" (not all), and Krayt is NOT recognized as the true Dark Lord by just about EVERY deceased Lord of the Sith (they all have Force Ghosts, so that's how we know) since he does not adhere to the "Rule of Two" and has massive armies of Dark Side Followers.
Luke is still stronger than any Dark Side user in the SW universe in the current books, so it is going to take a combination of age and some new hot-shot Dark-sider to finally kill him. My guess is he'll last past his current age of 60 to around 65-75 before dying.
So, in other words, he's a good student. Dumb for doing it so openly but at least he's got the right idea. :p
No, that doesn't mean he's a good student. If he were a good student he'd have been saying this via Private Messages where the reigning Dark Lord of Animesuki couldn't see it. That's how all smart and long-lived Dark Lords of the Sith operate, especially the most successful of all, Darth Sidious (AKA Emperor Palpatine) worked. Sith Lords that weren't secretive are known for dying quickly into their reigns (see Darth Caedus).

Darth Sidious was only the most successful based damage done to the Jedi/Republic. He failed to maintain his power and didn't pass his knowledge/power. So he failed the legacy of the Sith'ari, Darth Bane.

Well, it's indestructible....might as well be made of adamantium XDDXD
Cortoris blades aren't indestructible however, a lightsaber should be able to break it with enough strikes.

:heh: Imagine how far they could throw a lightsaber! :p
Lightsabers wouldn't really matter a jedi wouldn't even hit a claymore for those lightsabers to work never mind even been able keep up with the speed of a normal claymore never mind single digits or claymores like Mira.

claymores are made from the mineral-material.....
claymorium, of course !!!!!
(if didn't know, this is a joke. not a real fact or anything from the manga)
Lightsabers wouldn't really matter a jedi wouldn't even hit a claymore for those lightsabers to work never mind even been able keep up with the speed of a normal claymore never mind single digets or claymores like Mira.
All Jedi/Sith have the equivalent of Yoki precognition... though masters with sabers don't need that ability, as much. You've actually seen it in action in the movies, it's how they reflect Blasted bolts with such precision (when they get really good they can reflect them back with precision).
Even if the Jedi/Sith is slower than a Claymore they still know in advance where they need to block and where the opening are. It's like fighting a weaker Teresa (in most cases, some are debatable) but with force powers (which includes bursts of speed, not needing to breathe for long periods, super jumps, shoving/throwing someone/something with there mind, lightning, etc). After all in Episode 3 you saw Obi-wan fight a robot with his fists and give it a run for it's money.
In short Claymores have a few abilities but on average more base strength/speed, when Jedi/Sith on average have less base strength/speed but far more abilities. So all in all it would be a good match up :D (especially Young Yoda vs Teresa :p, old Yoda has no endurance :().
claymores are made from the mineral-material.....
claymorium, of course !!!!!
I say Unobtainium. :p
I think you and many others are under estimating just how fast/strong even the weakest claymores are just imagine trying to fight someone who moves faster than the human brain can process the information of where they are and are strong enough to crush bones bare handed.

But with Jedi/Sith precognition, it would only be a matter of whether those abilities allowed them to avoid the strike. Also, the force would allow Jedi/Sith to manipulate or even crush the consciousness of weak-willed Claymores and bend them to their will. But as for a strong-willed Claymore like Teresa, even she'd be done for once my namesake, Darth Revan, were to unleash Force Storm (Lightning) against her. There simply is no defense that a Claymore has against such a weapon, or for that matter, Force Choke.
Only by awakening would people like Teresa stand a chance against Jedi Masters and Sith Lords. After that moment of course it's really anybody's guess as to what happens next.

well yoki and the force are pretty much the same thing. it's actually a quite reasonable comparison between the two. If you understand starwars and the force well, than yoki should be clear to you.
star wars, the force: a force all around you that can do or be used to anything.
claymore, yoki: a force within any being with yoma flesh inside of them, that can do or be used to do anything.
-sides i think everyone is jsut waiting for chapter 96....... tick tock tick tock......

After eveything a claymore goes through just to survive in there early lifes never mind after they become warriors I doubt any even ones like uma are weak willed enough to fall for there mind tricks, as for force lighting and attacks like that you have to hit them with it frist.
You've never really read the books have you very few Jedi/sith are even capable of doing most of the things you mentioned even most of the masters can't.
In short, I don't care if we don't hear anything new about this chapter for another year....if you're bored find something more constructive to do than filling up this thread with pointless and off topic discussion.
Don't make grumpy mod regret his laid back approach to these forums. Thanks.

One of the major problems with the Star Wars EU in my opinion is that it made the Jedi and Sith too damn uber. Watch the fully Canon movies. They can be stopped, and no the they do not pull ships out of orbit, or perfectly deflect any and all things that come at them, or whatever. Hell the whole Jedi order got punked by order 66 so bad, it makes what happened to the Claymores in Pieta look like a grand truimph.
Speaking of Claymore lets drop the SW discussion and get back on that.
OK, since I was one of the two to foolishly bring up Star Wars I'll try to get the conversation back on track. Sorry Solace! :(

What will happen to Beth?
A) Beth will be consumed and turned into a super cat minion
B) Riful will kill her, to awaken Alicia and to prevent whatever might happen
C) Twist of A) and B) Riful will attempt to kill Beth but be killed by the creature when it awakens
D) Twist of C) Riful will attempt to kill Beth but Alicia will kill Beth to protect her (or because the new creature growing from Beth takes control of the link)
E) Twist of D) Alicia will capture Riful while under the control of the creature to turn her too
F) Clare will come (or attempt to) save Beth due to Raphaela memories/emotions influencing her to do so
G) Clare will come (or attempt to) kill Beth in order to prevent whatever may come
H) Beth will be absorbed by the projectile and the power will transfer to The Destroyer (when in A) that doesn't happen)
I) Alicia in confusion will go to her sister and suffer the same fate and/or be the first victim
J) Clare and group will since what is happening to Beth and attempt to get there and fail, so will Riful and Alicia due to too much confusion in Alicia's Partially awakening mind. The chapter will end before we know what Beth turned into.
K) Other (Post your Theory) _________________________________________________
Beth goes mad and falls for Duff. Riful gets mad and attacks Beth. Alicia intervenes while Beth is playing nurse. The rest of the chapter is filled with "cat" fight.
holy shit, this chapter is awesome.
EDIT: why this chapter is awesome:
The chapter starts with 3 MIB standing on a cliff afar looking at the new giant sisters.
MIB in visble high status cloth: Isn't this beautiful? No desire for flesh, no desire for live but all the desire in the world to destory, isn't this the perfect weapon we have been seeking? We HAVE to get a piece of her.
MIB in lower status: It would be nice, but with the current status of No1 and No2, getting a piece of her would be very diffcult with only the "recover" team, and all the minions who ran out of energies are no different than normal ABs.
Then the screen turns, and reveals the visage of the leading MIB while some one came in and reported something interesting is spotted at a village south.
http://i745.photobucket.com/albums/xx97/KantuShouhua/zomg.png
At the now ruined village, the head MIB was told all the minions who were shot to that location were dead, as well as all the residents, except one survivor.
Then we see Raki, kneeling on the ground, with two poles stuck at his shoulder, already starting to mutate, apparantly at a much slower speed than normal.
The head MIB ordered to take Raki back to the headquater for research after saying:"looks like abondoned experiments materials can sometime leads to useful result."
Scene changes to Yuma carrying Cynthia running for their lifes until they stop after sensing some faint yoki.
They then discover Beth being stuck by the pole as we saw at the end of the last chatper. Yuma tries to help her by removing the pole, but was stopped by Cynthia seconds before Beth would suddenly leap up. It looks like the pole has completely taken over control of Beth as her head shrinks inside her body while a new head is forming at one end of the pole, soon the pole grows into a creature resemble both Alicia awaken form and the kitty minions while still attach to Beth's almost intact except headless body before it starts to attack Yuma and Cynthia.
Scene again changed to Clare gang, Helen falls to ground due to exhaustion after all the minions around them are taken care of, it seems they were able to kill half of it and the other half ran out of energy.
To much of the three's suprise, when they looked at the giant sisters afar, they saw a brand new ring of poles ready to be shot out again.

With the Raki part, I wonder if they are reffering to Raphelia/Lucelia as the failed experiment. Or do they actually mean Raki, wich may explain how the rods are growing slower on him. The other thing is where is Priscilla during this?

Then, we must ask that question: what happens when a rod hits Priscilla (assuming one hits). Between her and the statues, I'm betting on the statues.
This must be Clare's nightmare come true: Raki being used as experiment for the organisation. Hope that eventual reunion won't be to end his life... Speaking of the MIB and organisation members in particular, they experimented on themselves too right? Hence their ugly as hell faces and seeming longevity (unless Rubel has been using excellent face cream).

I sort of hope it does not end that way (the reunion).
As far as the Mibs, I would think it was due to being mauled by the experiments rather than being experiments themselves. They seem pretty determined.

But, Raki and Clare locking swords Rurouni Kenshin-style: now, THAT I got to see.
Another thing is about Raki's condition. Is he "too far gone"? Gotta love the way Yagi breaks Clare.
Well, so far she's ignorant of Raki's condition but she's now destined to be devastated... another tragedy in her life.
Lets count them:
1) Parents killed
2) Bother tuned into Yoma
3) Her now Yoma brother, possibly Rapes her...
4) Her brother is Killed
5) She's thrown out of her village and into the wilderness as a very young girl
6) Captured and tortured by yoma for unknown amount of time but long enough to stop speaking and who knows what they did to her...
7) Beaten up by bandits twice
8) Her savior dies
9) the pain both physically and mentally of becoming a Claymore
10) Almost awakens
11) Has to kill her best friend
12) finds out she still could awaken or is slowly awakening even now
13) Separated from Raki
14) Permanently losses a limb
15) Responsible for Flora's Death
16) Kills Jean (even though she was dying anyways)
17) Finds out Raki is alive 7 years later and will likely learn that Raki is turned into something
So this begs the question... what will happen next to her

i told you raki would become a "claymore", just wrong on the "Claymore" part, lol.
i told you that the black coats were really yoma's/claymore's/awakened ones/abyssal ones, and probably powerful ones too.......
muahahahaha !!!!
-----------------------------------
P.S.
is MIB = men in black? = the black coats/agents/handlers of the Organization ?

one other point..... about raki....
raki has been considered uber yummy by many yomas/awakened ones....
1. zaki (brother of raki made yoma) said that raki was the most delicious (saving him for last).
2. the female awakened one (during clare's and ophelia's mission together), also thought raki was uber yummy.
3. priscilla's ....interest in raki, might actually ahve something to do with him being so yummy, his smelling good may actually be because he smells so yummy and not merely because he is also from the south... like she is....
4. any other instances i can't think of......
this probably obviously has something to do with why raki is effected differently now...
-------------------------------------------------------------------
so much for yagi norihiro keeping it "simple" and not adding any new monsters..... lol
from what i read it (of all your posts) seems like we got a bunch of new monsters...
1. beth spawn
2. alicia is fully awakened and berserk
3. raki is spawn infected
4. the black coats/MIB have finally been revealed as being monsters too
5. the destroyer ("old" monster, not a chapter 96 new monster)
6. the MIB/Organization wanting to take the destroyer's flesh and make some new monster.....
7. etc.....
all hel has broken loose.... yikes....

3. any more instances i can't think of...
this probably obviously has something to do with why raki is effected differently now...
:uhoh:
Uh... ok.
1. zaki actually said his uncle was delicious and that Raki would make a good snack before he left
2. the female awakened one said he smells really delicious but never got a taste
3. Priscilla liked his smell but clearly didn't try to eat him...

Following that logic you have to explain why wasn't Zaki a special Yoma...
They were brothers after all... same "blood" (Claymore terminology, aka similar genes).
Come on everyone... your missing some of the most important questions:
How come Raki is transforming differently?
Where the Bleep is Priscilla?
are they related or separate issues?
Maybe because he's been implanted with descendants of dragons' flesh and blood -- which reminds me of a fanfic.
Priscilla is either 1) gone towards Raciella or 2) feeding in a nearby town.
I believe they're separated issues. Priscilla might have transformed to kill the minions after seeing Raki had been attacked.
Whatever's affecting Raki's slow tranformation/mutation has nothing to do with her: that kind of reaction's been generated by his body.
I'd like to know what Miata might have to say about his smell. :p
Another chapter without knowing about Renée's fate...
Dauf and Riful are still alive... even if in front of Alicia :D

I did mention this before too that Raki is considered a tasty snack by yoma and awakened beings. In fact, I explained to everyone before my theory how Raki is responsible for the death of many villagers by attracting yoma and awakened beings alike to villages. :heh: Raki is probably why ;) Agatha came to Rabona, but Priscilla keeps him safe. :heh:
But anyway, I approve of Raki getting hurt in this chapter. :( But I disaprove that it will probably lead him into getting powers.
We can always hope he dies from it... (don't ruin my hope!)

An interesting thing is how happy the org seems to be about the situation. They've just lost their number one and two. Raciella is on the rampage, set to be the destroyer of the world. And yet the organization seems to view this as a good thing, and are confident that they will live through the destroyer and want to preserve a bit of her for their experiments.

They're evil military scientist and now officially monsters as well... what else did you expect? They knew Alicia and Beth weren't the weapons they were looking for only a means to whip out local threats and Beth is far away right now. However now they see a shinny new toy to pull a part and likely rebuild... Also if they build there new weapon they can just leave the island to it's fate and take Raki to the mainland. Or test it out on the Destroyer...
I guess the Insurgents Kampf Against Raki will be having a new discussion today. :heh: (same goes for the Raki followers unite! He'll need support now... :p)

Anyway, Raki heading towards the East probably means that if Rene doesn't show up in the next chapter or so, that she probably did buy it and that the whole Raki passing a message onto her was a red herring, misdirection... If she doesn't show soon, then that information won't help Clare.
Also a long time ago, I said it would be possible for Clare and Priscilla to team up unknowingly, if something bad did happen to Raki. Priscilla doesn't show up on the Radar, so to Clare she could seem like an ordinary child that Raki was taking care of.

Interesting theory... I admit Raki's message could have been a red herring but it still could pan out. Also I don't think Renee is dead because I don't see Riful having her page long monologue about why she escaped if she just killed her, I mean there was no oops sorry Renee... to me it was more like Oh there's no need to chase her anymore and here is why. Renee's fate is more that she's likely alive, unlike Irene who likely died :(.
An example of how Raki's message could still play out would be Renee watching the MiB carrying Raki back to the org... then bumping into Clare and/or Priscilla later. She can then tell either one of them about Raki's condition, more likely she'll meet Clare and also mention Priscilla to her. The name she won't likely know but it could still help Clare track down this AO to pair up with her to save Raki then, as you just speculated. Then find out it's Priscilla. :heh:
What I see happening is something like:
1) Pricilla killing Raciella
2) Pricilla letting herself get killed by Clare, after telling her that her boyfreind was taken away/killed/whatever.
3) Clare meets Renee and finds out Pricilla boyfriend was Raki
4) Clare goes to finid Raki - showdown with the Org truely starts
This is, of course, assuming that Jonovas spoilers are right (not a huge assumptions since he's never been wrong, but still...). Has anyone else seen the chapter yet?

i think the org might have tinkered with raki during the pieta arc when they shipped raki to the north so claire would follow.
My response to him:
That could be what the org meant by "looks like abandoned experiments materials can sometime leads to useful result." They actually meant Raki... and maybe that's why he smelt goo to Priscilla! Nice Idea Raikiri!

In real life terms, you could view Raciella as the equivalent of a nuclear weapon. She/It is the final say...at this point in time there are no stronger things in existence that we know for a fact could destroy her/it.
For those who actually enjoy weaponry and warfare, Raciella is the proverbial jackpot. Again using a real life example, modern nuclear weapons have more power than the ones used in WW2. In fact some non-nuclear ordinance has come close to the destructive power of those original bombs. Even today militaries around the world are continuing their quest for more power and this includes super soldiers and "Final Option" weapons.
To the person interested in self preservation this seems like madness, but some people just like to watch the world burn.

We don't really know how powerful Raciella herself is. She's been creating numerous barasite creatures but we haven't seen Raciella herself fighting, and I doubt those Luciella wannabes are the only thing she has in store. Otherwise, any Abyssal would be able to handle her because the wannabes are weak compared to them, as they seem to be roughly on the same level as a normal awakened one, and if that's all she's got, she has no other offensive or defensive techniques. We know, instead, that her Youki is far greater than any abyssal's, so she's sure to have more to her than what we saw to this stage. How much more is debatable since we don't have enough information.
As for Priscilla, we know she's a lot stronger than Isley, but her power is very unstable. She took a huge beating from Isley before she started getting serious with him. Her fight with Isley, imho, isn't a good reference for us to determine just how strong she is compared to Isley. She seemed like she was more desperate to break free of Isley's grasp rather than trying to outright kill him. If she were trying to kill him, she'd have aimed for his head rather than turn back to her human form and cry for her parents. That's just how I see it, so there's no telling how strong Priscilla is either.
One reason that Raciella might be stronger than Priscilla is because Priscilla is an individual. Raciella is also an individual, but a fusion of two youkis combined to form a much greater one. That is not the case for Priscilla. Raciella was not originally a single person whereas Priscilla was. On the other hand, Riful seemed more frightened of Priscilla but wasn't really hesitating to fight Raciella when she first appeared. All in all, it could go either way, but my money's on Raciella.

Priscilla had a interesting look when she said "Something new and vast has just been born". And since team Clare (yes i said it :)) most likely can't rival Priscilla, the merge of Rafaela and Luciela should be that counterpart.
Or.. team clare just kills every monster.

My response to him:
Wow! "abandoned experiments" That's truly interesting. But I think that it's better to wait for full chapter to see if the dialogue is really like that.
About Raki, I think that everyone knows that it's the only way to raise his power to equal or more than Claymore. Even if he has trained his skill for many years. In the end, he is still human. He may be better than low rank Claymore like Clarice. But he will never be on par with high rank or even average Claymore. But for Raki-hater, shouldn't you be happy about this? He will be turned into monster and Clare will kill him in the end. :eyespin:
I dont like the idea that Raki is not a human, or will stop to be a human. All his importance in story was that he is only human protagonist in this series full of monsters trying to stay human.

I think that the main theme of Claymore is the conflict about human side trying to suppress monster side. If the org don't bring him back, he will eventually become monster anyway due to those poles. Or he can cut his arm like Deneve and becomes incapable of fighting anymore in order to preserve his human. Nothing is win-win in Claymore. IMO

Edit:
What's interesting is that numbers do matter. Helen was 22 and Deneve was 15 and we can see that even now Deneve is probably stronger. Helen was the only one of the three that was laying down after monster-kittens were defeated. Maybe she does have serious firepower but lacks stamina and toughness.

Well the org is doomed. You see there is one thing that garuantees the death of a villian in most games and Anime I've seen. You do not F*** with the love intrest. Do that and you are the walking dead. Doesn't matter if you become a super god that surpasses all other things, your getting curbstomped. Quite possibly with a humiliation conga added in as you turn to dust.
Claire, if you learned anything really good from Raphelea, this would be the time to use it.
Raki is looking pretty pissed off there. At least the detail has gone back up in his drawing. I thought the last few dipped in quality on certain parts. Definitely one of the best chapters so far.
I am sort of hoping Raki would not die so quickly. For the reasons that,
1. Raki as the final villain would be somewhat amusing.
2. Clare alone is sort of dull (best way to say I could say it would be complimentary pair)

Well, that kinda explains what happens if a Claymore is fully taken over by one of the rods. If I look at this right, Beth didn't transform willingly, but the parasite fed off her energy, absorbed all the information and basically inherited all of Beth's abilities. If Beth actually awakened on her own, I'm guessing she would look exactly like Alicia because they are twins, and they were most likely made into Claymores using the flesh of the same Yoma. That's probably what made the soul link even easier for them in addition to their being twins. So the transformed being we're seeing now isn't actually Beth, but one of the Luciella wannabes whose completely taken over Beth, both in terms of mind, spirit and body and can use all of Beth's abilities as well as her own on top of them. Call it a fusion of sorts.
As for Raki, I'm very interested about what's happening to him. He seems pretty mad to me, and it's not just the pain in his arm. Perhaps something happened to Priscilla and he's pretty upset about it, but most of his anger seems directed at the guy from the Black Black Club. He even seems to know who the guy is but that's up for grabs. Perhaps it's his strong mental fortitude that's preventing the parasite from taking over his body.

I think it is far more likely for Priscilla and Clare to team up against a greater foe eventually. What if Prissy swoops down and kills Raciella? A bit anticlimactic? Then what? Clare is to team up with the most powerful creature in the universe who nobody can stand up to? I find it far more likely that Clare will find a little girl on the roadside crying about Raki. We'll have to see, Prissy missing from the scene could mean that the one horned monster is back as Cyclone has pointed out.
Anyway, from the looks of it, like others have said, this is probably one of the best chapters in the Manga.

He doesn't necessary have to become a claymore, at first it was thought only half-human half-yoma worked, Then Clare became the first 1/4 yoma, Then yagi brought out the Abysall feeders (half awakened).

That last bit of logic seems flawed? Why would experience gained as a human be greater than experience gained as a Claymore? In fact, being trained to be a Claymore as a child gives the warriors experience in how to use their non-human bodies. Besides, if training a human till an adult and then converting him to a Claymore gives better result, don't you think the org would know so, having plenty of opportunity to test that experiement?

It is indeed a flawed logic to say a well trained human is better but there is another possibility. More for the loyalty reasons, If a claymore had a family then they wouldn't be 100% loyal to the organisation they'd have outside concerns.
Probably it doesn't make a difference what time they become a half yoma, as in the end their immortal and can train forever.
Though a flaw in what I said is the men on the mainland, If their willing to become half-yoma for a cause it wouldn't be a leap of logic to say the same would happen on the island. People would be willing to become half-yoma.

Yes and no. Training them for 15 years for the whole purpose of a suicide run would be a waste of resources but what if there not trained solely for a suicide run.
For example; there could be a lottery to becoming a Claymore there, soldiers wishing to avenge loved ones could sign up (unlikely but possible), or the MiB could pick people from the solders ranks who have the right mindset.
The never ending war there has made each side demonized each other, in the minds of the public, so maybe suiciding yourself to kill the enemy could almost be considered a good thing there. Also in a state of never ending war most soldiers would expect to not live past 25, let alone 20. We accept the reality we are born into and taking out the "bastards" on the other side would be something a portion of humanity might actually take... especially if there uneducated.

no way.. the story can't develop like that, one ultimate boss is already enough, another ultimate ultimate boss will just make this comics stupid coz it happens too fast and seems going nowhere, + the teresa thing is not yet solved, the story should echo with the start (raki + priscilla killed teresa)
thus i think it's time for raki and priscilla to have some changes/actions, or it's really hard to link to the very start of the story; i already feel that clare and raki haven't seen each other for too long, + it's not very persuasive for their strong bond, they had been together for just a short period of time, kinda weird for being so devoted; wt's more important is that, the thing happened long long ago, the importance/freshness of their relationship kinda fades, at least in me, i dun really care about them, but other more attractive characters
+ it's hard to develop the story on another island, hard to link and transfer the current characters to that place, but if raki is being used and exported, then it makes things a little bit more natural..
now.. raki gets power-up or become half-good half-bad creature which clare may eventually have to kill with her own hands, then that'll be good, but is sort of a cliche.. well, let's the author surprise us..
and priscilla kills kills kills and then dies in peace, that'd be a typical plan in comics, but claymore is not typical.. mmmm....

I think its doubtful that Clare will have to kill Raki, first of all we have no idea what the org intends to do with him but not necessary will they turn him into a flesh eating monster (Though I admit its more likely considering the org's experiments).
Don't get me wrong Claymores a dark fantasy but between Clare and Raki i'd find it more likely Clare would die rather than Raki.

MIB: No ego...no desire for flesh, no determination to live, only to destroy everything around it, and after consuming all life, walk the path of self-destruction is it...? It's so magnificent. Isn't this...the ideal perfect weapon?
The dark motive has begun to move...
SCENE 96: Eye of Selfish Desire (私欲の眼)
MIB: I say you all...can think of a way to obtain that?
Lower MIB: I'm really sorry...that body plus its terrifying destructive power...to rely solely on the retrieval squad is not enough.
MIB: Hmph, I don't expect you all to accomplish this step. I was saying that even if we cannot deal with the main body, it's also good if we can obtain the fragments that thing spreads out.
Lower MIB: All activities have stopped from those things. If it's only those...
MIB: If they're just remains, they're still useless to us even if we obtain them. Those remains with no activity are just like ABs' corpses. That living main body, I want it no matter what...
Lower MIB: !! But...that would be even more difficult than capturing live ABs.
MIB: Of course I know that. Even if it lowers the Organisation's battle prowess, I still want it.
Lower MIB: If No. 1 and No. 2 are still around, it may be possible. But to rely on our current strength may be forceful to us.
MIB: Chi...Have we been too impatient to send Alicia and Beth into battle?
Lower MIB: Sir Dayef, there's a report that says they found something interesting in the Dichly Town in the southwest.
MIB: What?
Later, at the ruined town...
MIB: Ah...what a mess. Is this the result of the village near that area? It was once a crowded place wasn't it?
Lower MIB: The individual fragments that were spread here have all ceased activity. The town's inhabitants have basically been annihilated.
MIB: You're saying..."basically"?
Lower MIB: There is...only one survivor.
Raki kneels in front of them with two small poles planted in his left arm. He is breathing heavily.
MIB: Ho, ho...so this is really...
The poles pulse with life on Raki's arm. One of the poles emerges a mouth.
MIB: This is amazing. Why is this man not completely consumed when he is stabbed? All those spiritual strength stuff...I hope it's not this kind of boring reason.
MIB: (to men) Retrieve now. Take this man back to the Organisation with us.
Lower MIB: B..but what if this man is completely consumed along the way?
MIB: Hmm...that's why I'm not going along with you people. Absolutely never forget about the Organisation's motive and our duty... It's up to you to use your stupid brains to figure out what to do.
Lower MIBs: Urgh...
MIB: Gugugu... Abandoned research materials can sometimes bring unexpected interesting things...
Meanwhile...Yuma continues carrying Cynthia through the forest.
Cynthia: ! Yuma... There seems to be a comrade's yoki nearby...
Yuma: What?
(They stop and sense their surroundings)
Yuma: Although it's really weak, there really is a warrior's yoki. But mostly it shouldn't be Clare and the others. Seems to be the Organisation's warriors.
Cynthia: Looks like it's hard to make a precise analysis after sensing such a powerful yoki earlier. Anyway, it should be nearby...If the other party is injured and unable to move, let's give her a hand.
Yuma & Cynthia: !!
(Beth slumps nearby with the huge pole impaled in her body. No signs of movement from Beth. The pole continues pulsing.)
Yuma: Black armored warrior? Is she one of the Organisation's warriors? Anyway if we want to help her, we should remove that weird thing first.
(Cynthia stops Yuma. She's shivering.)
Cynthia: (shivers) Yuma...that...don't touch it...
Yuma: Cyn..thia?
(Beth rises with the pole still stuck in her.)
Beth: Ooo...ahh...he
(Beth's face reveals that her yoki has been mostly released.)
Yuma & Cynthia: !!!
(Beth's head is wrapped by pulsing veins and retreats into her body. The pole takes shape and becomes an AB which resembles Alicia's AB form.)
Yuma: What is that? Awakened being...?!
(Beth AB grows sharp blades over her body.)
Yuma: It's growing black blades over...over her body?
Cynthia: Yuma! Escape now...
(Beth AB slams fragments of rocks toward them, destroying the cliff face behind her in half.)
(Meanwhile Helen collapses from exhaustion in their fight with the Raciella ABs.)
Helen: Ha...ha..ha...ha...
Deneve: Was that the last one?
Clare: Yea. We have defeated half of them...the remaining ones ceased activity due to using up all their energies.
Deneve: If not for them being dismembered, they would have struggled for the whole day isn't it...
Helen: Heh. No matter what, we have survived. Know our prowess? (sees Clare and Deneve looking serious) ? Why are you both darkening your faces? We won. You're not happy?
Deneve: The source of our problems...has not been taken care of yet.
Helen: Ah? Hey...hey...you're joking right...
(Raciella is about to go for another round of pole spitting)
Helen: What kind of joke is this...We fought very hard just to defeat those things earlier...
Clare: That thing is just like us. It won't stop as long it breathes.

You completely missing my original point.
1) There probably isn't an advantage for well training a human and then converting him to a Claymore, as opposed to converting a child to a claymore and well training him the same amount of time.
I never argued that training was a bad thing on the mainland. I just agreed that the org might do rush jobs due to limited resources in a war.
But surely being immortal its possible for an adult to learn the same.
Sort of like how AB's cannot become stronger when they awaken but can learn their full potential (The reason Riful didn't want Clares trio from the witch's maw arc straight away since she wanted them to grow stronger; something that stops when they awaken).
While it is true that both cases could eventually result in the same skill and experience level, it would still take the case of the Adult becoming a Claymore a longer time to reach the same level as the person who was converted to a Claymore as a child and trained equally as hard. The Adult just trained in the wrong body for 15+ years, while the Child has trained in the Claymore body for 15 years which is different from the human body. I'm not saying that some of the experience won't carry over, but it is a less efficient way of obtaining a skilled Claymore.

I'm not disagreeing there and particularly in the claymore world no one ends up better off as most half-yoma have a short life span
The only exception to this so far has been the male AB generation who lived for a 100 years.
or in terms of half-yoma Irene is/was the longest living half yoma (and even then she'd be no older than 40)
So if you had two people one made a half yoma when they were a child and another when they were an adult technically the adult would live longer as odds are the child made half-yoma would be dead/awakened by the time the adult turned into a half yoma.

Good idea post on Naruto Forums
i think the org might have tinkered with raki during the pieta arc when they shipped raki to the north so claire would follow.
That could be what the org meant by "looks like abandoned experiments materials can sometime leads to useful result." They actually meant Raki... and maybe that's why he smelt goo to Priscilla! Nice Idea Raikiri!
I thought about this some, and I doubt it.
1) There doesn't seem to be enough time for the Org to tinker with Raki. He seems to have been shipped off to the north probably a little before Clare meets the scruffy little girl at the Teresa and Clare fountain.
2) It was Rubel who sent Clare to the north, not the Org, because he wanted to get rid of all the half awakeneds. In fact, the head of the organization, Rimuto, wanted to see Clare because he suspected that the failed experiment might be bearing fruit with the possibility of Clare killing Ophelia's awakened form.
3) It is illogical. Either Clare is important to the org or she is not. If they send her to the North to be a sacrifice then she doesn't seem important. Yet, if the organization sends Raki to the North to get her to go, they seem to be putting too much effort into a #47 if they don't care about her, which Rimuto contradicts (point 2) Them Tinkering with Raki on the account of Clare seems to suggest she is very important. But this whole line of though seems strange in its current form.
Thanks Weils.

I'd say the oldest half-yoma was Raphaela. After all Irene didn't know who she was, clearly implying that Raphaela was the older of the two... and likely Irene died that night.

Yup, I said: Names of people and locations except known ones are translated from their Chinese pronounciation and may not be the same in the Japanese version.
We will have to wait for the Japanese version translation to English in order to find his name out. Even the name of the town Raki was in was translated according to the Chinese pronounciation so I definitely may have gotten it wrong as well.

That's why they want their warriors to be no brain and no personality. So that they don't have to bother about the case like Teresa or Miria. If they are strong enough to control these monsters then there is no point to create them in the first place. :eyespin:
AE may not look like it but they're controllable to some extents. Alicia&Beth are also controllable. The real problem which still can't be solved is the controllable AB. Alicia&Beth come close but they're still not stable enough.

I disagree that its not solved as such.
The 6 arms AB from long ago at the very least had a deal with the organisation (you kill these warriors for us and we won't kill you) he had knowledge that would be organisation only (Miria's rank & nickname) and also the way he said to miria "but there's one thing you forgot"
Riful was even prepared to make an alliance with the org against Priscilla.
The trick with AB's is to make alliances with the stronger ones, afterall as Isley showed us with his army. The best way to control AB's is with even stronger AB's.
The only time an AB is uncontrollable is when they first awaken but after awhile they settle down.
On the mainland its even easier since there is the enemy army to eat so they have no reason to turn on the org.

Yeah but if she had no brain and no personality then she wouldn't care what happened to Clare. And there would be no reason for the org to execute her.

The org still can't order them to do whatever they please. The fact is that they have intelligence and are very strong make them arrogant and untrustworthy. I also don't think that they want to listen to and become ally with their food. :uhoh:
But I can't remember when Riful had a plan to ally with the org.

They killed half of them before the other died form lack of energy... in a sense if they were normal AB then they be out of power (like Helen, or at least she needs a breather) but still easy pickings for Clare and Deneve. So you could argue they killed all of them but it's a technicality.

Riful didn't have a plan to ally with them... she said it would be impossible based on obvious reasons. Maybe evil_kenshin meant that he thought Riful might consider it based her statement. Then she said that only left an alliance with Luciella as an option... but Isley removed that option by tricking them about Priscilla's power.

Didn't she said she couldn't join with the org?
as I said she was prepared to make an alliance. I never said she made a move to.
She was willing to actually ask the organisation to help in killing Priscilla.
The only other speculation I could come up with was...
1. Priscilla left to kill Raciella in order to nullify the parasite on Raki's arm, before it took over his mind.
2. As far as "abandoned research material" I thought it leaned more towards "male experiments" rather than Raki being a previous experiment.
as I said she was prepared to make an alliance. I never said she made a move to.
She was willing to actually ask the organisation to help in killing Priscilla.
I wouldn't go that far... her statement, to me, implies more of a hindsight refection of her situation than proof of her considering an alliance before Isley attacked.
However this statement does lend weight to the idea that she may team up with the ghosts... but clearly doesn't guarantee it. More likely she'll try to claim Alicia but we'll have to wait for next chapter, or later, to see what has happened to Riful/Duff and Alicia.
