I am going to suggest a certain anime!!

Hi everyone,

I am going to suggest an anime since this is the suggestions board.It is an anime that i hated even before i saw it.I thought the visual style was extremely weird and i didn't think it was worth my time.It was extremely long,425 eps + and i really did not want to try it.But on my vacation i gave it a go anyway and it turns out to be pretty much the greatest anime i ever watched.I watched till ep 270 an i still dont feel like taking a break from watching it which i usually experience with other animes.It has incredible humor and great heart warming scenes.The story is very good and the characters are freaking awesome.

Some of you may have guessed i am talking about One Piece.

I have been seeing a lot of people on these boards not willing to try this anime out for pretty much the same reasons that i did.I would highly recommend that you sincerely give it a try before your sure you wont like it.

I am burnt out on that. I went through a big run through of that show last year. It's something I have to watch in bursts since I just can't stand watching the filler moments of that show. They've got a really interesting setting/cast of powers and characters though.

If you like one piece, I recommend giving Law of Ueki a go. The powers are diverse and the fights are interesting.

If u liked One Piece so much then u surely will enjoy Fairy Tail (the anime adaptation), which started airing not so long ago. The art style is very similar and very intereting too. At least the manga chapters i've read so far.

Hmm,OP fillers dont seem terrible to me like naruto or bleach fillers but i suppose to each his own.I have seen many people dissing OP though JUST because they don't like the visual style and they aren't willing to try it.

What is this, a topic about suggesting One Piece? Seems unneccesary...
Anyway, for all it matters I consider it the best shounen anime ever made.

For manga yes, the art is nearly identical which made me think that Fairy Tail would be a ripoff of OP just because of the art. However, we're talking about anime adaptation here, and the art style is nothing like OP ( So I assume it's not like the manga either ).

And unlike OP, Fairy Tail just doesn't have '' it ''. Not sure what the '' it '' is, but I've yet to come across as good shonen series as OP is. In fact, I loved OP so much that I watched episodes 1-250 in a massive marathon. Of course I slept/ate etc. but I basically didn't go outside at all or did anything else until I saw that much o.o.

But I was also quite a bit like the topic starter... I wasn't interested in the art style ( I did not hate it, though ), and after watching 2 episodes I thought the series was really boring.. But as I was really bored at that day, I kept watching more and more.. and oh am I glad that I did.

OP is epic in terms of comedy.I cant really recall any other anime that made me laugh so hard.

Also the episodes which are heartwarming like Choppers,Sanji's and Nami's arcs pretty much

had me all choked up.
