Let's see... CDs, glue, old monitor, some plants, rings, coffee-cup, light-bulbs (aha, very smart of you; more light ;) ), water-spray, glue (is that glue?), some tape and hardware. As a desktop-doctor my duty is to give you a advice; sorry, but unless you change your desktop-behaviour it will die soon under all that extra weight. :p

Actually, there's a lot of them. I was considering going to XP myself on my only windows box, but then during the tests XP started screwing up like a banchi, so now I'm going to move that box back to 98se again. XP just has too many issues with it still. But that's beside the point. hehe.

Back on subject, I just switched my desktop to a "King of Bandits, Jing" background. This is the first background in a while that's made my mother go "WTF is that??" hehe.

It's mostly the browser that's having issues, but there's a load of other little annoying problems in there too. I'm as I write, getting ready to yank SP2 and go back to SP1 again. Screw MS and it's SP2. hehe. Actually, Long Live Linux! But that's anther story. hehe.

Back on the subject of desktops, I'm going to have to grab my YKK desktop from my bsd box and post it here. It's a really cute picture of Alpha, but I'm nowhere near the machine in a way that would allow me to easily post it. I'll wait till later. :)

If you guys really like that space-seen-from-land stuffs, you should take a look at Alyn's DeviantArt page. (http://alyn.deviantart.com)
He has better stuff then that 3d-passion site IMO, and it's free, although you should consider buying a print from him ;)
I love that style of art, its so great... Im very fond of outer space pictures, they make me feel scared sometimes, because of that feeling of loneliness they have, like when I watched the Cosmos series when I was little...

my suggestion is to put recycle bin in bottom right- over the bastard anime

leave the games in a line on the top right

my computer in top left

and lose WMP. it automatically opens when you 2x click a file... ... so i wouldnt leave that on my desktop.

you could also jam some icons into the quicklaunch bar.

Nice desktop wallpapers everybody... here is my current desktop (scaled down)... source was from a Naruto artbook... and I just modified it a little bit... btw... the vertical gray line on the left is Desktop Sidebar (which is hidden) and is not part of the wallpaper... I don't really like the XP theme I'm usin since it makes me look like a mac poser :P... but it was the only theme I know the has a narrow (vertically) taskbar.... if you guys have better themes or visual styles that have narrow taskbars, pls let me know...

Ah, L2. Thats a pretty fun MMO. Do you play the pay servers or do you get by on the free ones (like i did). And i also used that wallpaper, i think around 2 months ago. It's a really nice one, imo.

Yea, I know. I only have two icons on my desktop. I like it that way; very neat and tidy.

Those are 2 of my bitches you see there, as my wallpaper. Each of them can use more chest, ass, and thighs but I still love 'em all the same. ^_^

On the left, you see my 'MSN contacts' list. Those who are offline are hidden and those who are online, you can't really make out because my window is always thin. [it's usually thinner than that] I'm currently using the translucent effect that comes with MSN Plus; it's tunred up to the max. [80%]

On the upper-right, you see WMP playing some Samurai Champloo; nothing special.

Here's something you don't see everyday; My status bar is situated at the top [ because having it on the bottom sucks =\ ] of my desktop and it hides itself when it's not in use.

I change my desktop frequently.

That's about it.

Formatted my laptop today, and got everything back on. I removed all icons from my desktop now. Resized from 1024x768 to 800x600. I also have my winamp up, playing the default song that comes with it. I'm actually surprised how good the default song it :p

Right, I don't like shell replacement proggys cause they eat up a lot of memory and CPU. No, not all of them. Programs like Aston Shell are actually much more stable and use up less memory than explorer.exe, from my experience... The only reason I don't use it anymore is the trial ran out. :heh:

Yea I know this is probably really old, but I'm still 6/10 done with the manga! argh...need to buy the rest soon. I'm not sure if I'll get the Kodocha DVDs(if they ever get released in the US...it's been licensed forever!), I'm so used to the manga style. I was searching for images and the anime ones made me cringe. I've seen the first story arc or so of anime. oh well, I should bring this into the kodocha discussion.
