Would that ratio apply to all widescreens? Need the info for future widescreen vectors. :) Ty.

Thank thank you. For all those who are curious its a Westinghouse LTV-32w3, and I got it for $870 after rebate including shipping from J and R Electronics. Unfortunatly the rebate ($230!!!) expired last week so it's quite a bit more expensive now. You can still get a pretty good deal on it from Crutchfield though.
Yes those are books under it, Calculus Early Transcendentals, Macroeconomics, and Study Guide for Macroeconomics. I actually need to do something about that as you can see the books aren't as wide as the base. I'll probably make myself a little stand in a couple of days but for now I'm not going to be reading those textbooks! :heh:

If its an ibook (which I think it might be due to the 1024x768 limit) I wouldn't count on it doing what you want it to do. I tried the hack on mine to get it to display at 1280x1024 on my monitor. It displayed a small 1024x768 image in the corner of the screen.

That's cool man. I'm glad you like it. There are like 10000 better wallpapers out there than mine so you (and anyone else for that matter) using it is more than I expected to be honest. :)

There are quite a few shell replacements around the place. ObjectDock is a popular one. Talisman and Windowblinds are both pretty good as well. There are others as well, but I think ObjectDock is probably the most popular (from what I've seen anyway).

I would have used putfile in the past, but if I remember correctly it was them that did a temporary country IP ban :( In anycase, if it'll help, what I do is save the login address that imageshack provided in the email they sent as a favourite. So one click of a button and I'm "logged" in.

I have put 3 docklets: one above with some icons, one down to the left with the running programs and another one down right with the tray programs (all docklet with glow effect). In the task manger it consumes 7-8mb memory, it's not too much imho, with no effect it would use even less.

With this kind of settings I see some slowing down when i open BS player and watch some video (anime of course :D ) in fullscreen and then i reduce the video to window. While it's playing there are no problems at all.
Also another bad things is that if i put the docklet always on top the firefox tab slow down a lot :twitch: Probably some kind of bug, i dont know :confused: I simply resolved it using mouse activation :p

Ps: My system is an Athlon Xp 2800+ with 1gb ram

On the right side (near the date) there are the open applications, very nice it shows them like a little preview of the window :)
The windows bar is hidden at the top of the screen. I searched for all the icons in .png format size 128x128 or above, the result is great! :D

Cons:
- just one dock
- just one effect (magnification) [for now imho]

Pro:
- the memory used depends on how many icons and effect you use. Anyway my pc was not slowed at all! (while with object dock firefox went crazy, video were slowed and some windows slowed while even just one dock were on top)
- pretty customizable (use the latest build you find on the forum, not the official release on the site -but keep in mind that the latest non official release may crash or contain bugs ;))
- freeware! :D:D:D:D

I find pretty all the icons on www.deviantart.com, try searching for example "Firefox icon" and look for .png files (at least 128x128).

The easiest way to do icon sets is with an application called CandyBar. Its sister product Pixadex is a great way to organize said icons. Both are shareware, so you have to buy them after a while.

The theming engine is called ShapeShifter, from Unsanity. It too is shareware.

You can find themes at www.macthemes.net.

Icon sets (and great individuals) are readily available at the newly relaunched www.iconfactory.com

Incidentally, that's where the Amora iconset and theme (which I'm using) debuted.

But if it's still the same as the demo then it's not too bad. I like Heroes III the best though. Heroes V looks a little like War3, I agree. The battle system is still the same as the old Heroes games though, only 3D now.

Anyways I'm sure NoSanninWa would give a better, unbiased opinion *shifty eyes*. :D

I liked the idea with heroes on the battle field, because it was more realistic. And what I really don't like is the phantom forces spell, its just too mighty in my opinion (especially with really huge armies). But most annoying imo is, that one cannot put more than one hero in a platoon.

This isn't modeled off Fujiwara's its an actual tuner that I just found online, I think it's in japan, but its a Levin anyway so It can't be modeled off of Inital D and its got a body kit. The AE86 is an amazing car, people still use them at top tier events like D1 and Formula Drift, that last results I looked at from Formula Drift had an AE86 placing second. People don't just get them because of Inital D, but thats what got me interested, then as I did research, I realized what an amazing car it was.

The enemy forces and map monsters grow in size as well.

If you sit and amass your forces for ages then you're bound to get into enormous fights. Its all about rates of growth/ income & strategy. My dad plays in a similar way to you.

I always watch him finish up scneraios with 50 black dragons that I had finished in the first 2 ingame months with a few week monsters.

@ Electroguy: Of course I have played it. And no; I didn't sit and wait, but went out and took everything I could. Thus it ends up being just "who has the biggest dick" army-amassing. You really need just one hero and a million monsters under his command. Makes sense too, since the bonuses are best used in one army.

As to your dad, he might like more of the journey than the goal. ;)

But If i ever become rich and abandon my counter-strike habit I might look into macs.
As for the intel processors, I was told by my cousin who works with macs that it's a terrible idea, he said that natively the Intel processors arn't compatible with OSX either so there is a seperate program that translates everything that goes into and out of the processor, but thats just what he said, I don't know if there's any truth to that or if that would affect performance at all, but I already hate Intel so whatever, AMD all the way!

The only bad thing is, the Mac that I'm looking at (the MacBookPro) is like $1,500. So, I'll be stuck with Windblows for probably the next 2 years...and I will definately NOT be buying a Vista PC.

Another thing apple does, is every time they come out with a new version of OSX, like leopard and tiger you have to pay like $200 for it, macs really are just for those of deep pockets, and although windows has its problems i've never really cursed microsoft, i curse all the assholes who write spyware and viruses, but a hard drive wipe every year or so should solve that
