I'm running dual-screens, but the other is a 4:3 CRT so the screenshot would look awkard. Plus, I just mainly use this LCD, so nothing on the other screen to show anyway.

@ Guey: Yeah, it's SuSe Linux 10. It recently got this neat "support feature" for games like Diablo 2, Quake 4, and the Sims 2. And you can convert to Linux from Windows even without installing anything! Just click on "My Desktop" in my sig to see how. ;)

Hey I can play quake 4 and diablo 2 on Linux. Never tried the sims because it sucks.

By patching, I mean the visable line in the center of the image. The wallpaper is likely a scan of two pages, patched together in photoshop.

are there any wallpapers in 16:9 format. i have a wide screen monitor so it stretches out all my pics. :mad: damn widescreen is a curse, oh yeah is that SuSe linux version any good, like is it easy to work with when I am brain dead , yet when im on top of my game i can control things with precision.

I don't know about 16:9 papers, but you can prevent the stretching and just have colored bars at the sides by switching your desktop settings from stretch to center, you can change what color you have at the edges too, I use this when I've got a lower resolution wallpaper because I don't like grainy pictures.

(Print Screen) key on the keyboard. Then paste into favorite image editor.

ex: (Print Screen key, open Paint program, Edit/Paste, File/Save as, Save as type: jpeg)

You can then upload image files to an image hosting site, such as ImageShack (http://www.imageshack.us/) if desired.

(Print Screen) key on the keyboard. Then paste into favorite image editor.

ex: (Print Screen key, open Paint program, Edit/Paste, File/Save as, Save as type: jpeg)

You can then upload image files to an image hosting site, such as ImageShack (http://www.imageshack.us/) if desired.

How do you do the thumbnail image thing?
You have 2 options: The easy option, or the hard option. The easy option is to upload to image shack and then use the code for the thumbnail which links to the full one. Unfortunately, imageshack has to produce revenue somewhere and thus puts many pop-ups, pop-unders, pop-ins, banner ads, ect on the page. The harder method, is to upload the full image somewhere, shrink it in your chosen image editing application, upload that somewhere as well, then do
[ url =fullsizeurl][ img ]thumbnailurl[ /img ][ /url] (removing spaces obviously)

^ Not really, it doesnt necessary mean a Windows Vista. I use a Windows skinning program called WindowBlinds to change how my taskbar, menus, start-menu, windows etc etc look. I'm using XP pro.

Ah so is that what Winamp 5 looks like? I currently use 2.8 because compared to 3 or 4 versions, it's preferable and has less automatic stuff. And it has/had a lot more skins available. Would you recommend winamp 5 since it takes up a lot less window space while giving you everything from a play/pause and a slider? :o

Nice wallpaper. I generally choose new wallpapers based on my mood. When I'm really moody, I change wallpapers by the hour. O_o

I have simply shrunk the player to a smaller size and made to resemble a bar. By default, it comes as a full-panel with all the buttons 'n stuff. There are skins, of course, but haven't found one yet that would look nice and crisp in bar-mode too.

The image in the Calendar changes every hour, and the bar on the right can expand/collapse if I click the grey section at the top. Same with the CPU and the Animesuki Feed.

Oh and btw, I can't get the times to be correct in the Animesuki RSS Feed...Does anyone know if it's because of the feed itself? :heh:

Easy done, just patch the windows theme file. I've uploaded the patcher since I'm nice (it's easier than doing it manually):

Clickies (850k) (http://www.narcess.net/junk/UXThemeMulti-Patcher.zip)

Double click it, install, cancel windows file protection, restart. Now just go somewhere like themexp.org or wincustomize.com and download some windows theme files. The files go in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes.

And could you either spoiler that image or thumbnail it please, it's kinda huge :)

Thanks. It's a mod of Tool++'s design. He's a user from Hydrogen Audio (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php). You can find his design in the appearance thread there, if you like to take a look at it. He offered a download somewhere in the apperance thread. So if you like it, grab it there. :)
He's using the BBLean shell and my mod is for Windows XP with Vista look. I also replaced/removed some features, I had no use for. Therefor I've added a tabbed stack pannel mod and a Vista-like buttonbar.

Aesir, you seem to create your own icons. Would you mind uploading them to somewhere? And the source for your wallpaper, too :)

Props to OS X users. Wut wut! ;)

Yeah, definitely excited about Leopard, mostly because that's around when I hope to be purchasing a Mac Pro and Dell 2407 to replace this aging PowerBook as my main workstation. Then I'll just keep the PowerBook until it dies, at which point I'll evaluate whether I really need a laptop at all. If I do, it'll get replaced by whatever's the lowest-end MacBook when I get it. I think the "powerful expandable desktop + light laptop" is the combo I like best.

It's a different shell for windows called Blackbox (http://bb4win.sourceforge.net/bblean/). I'm also using Rainlender (http://www.snapfiles.com/get/Rainlendar.html), Rainmeter (http://www.snapfiles.com/get/rainmeter.html), and Winamp. The wallpaper is from here (http://frozenface.hp.infoseek.co.jp/index2.html). I created the theme and the control panel. I then edited some Haruhi pictures for the icons.
