It's a different shell for windows called Blackbox (http://bb4win.sourceforge.net/bblean/). I'm also using Rainlender (http://www.snapfiles.com/get/Rainlendar.html), Rainmeter (http://www.snapfiles.com/get/rainmeter.html), and Winamp. The wallpaper is from here (http://frozenface.hp.infoseek.co.jp/index2.html). I created the theme and the control panel. I then edited some Haruhi pictures for the icons.

That's a plugin for rainmeter. It's in the file I hosted a couple of post ago.

It turns out that you put it in your skins folder, I got that mixed up.

The Rainlender skin is "プリっちBlue", so that's the one that goes into rainlender, the others go into the Rainmeter folder. Also, if you already have Rainmeter and/or Rainlender running, you have to refresh the program in order for the skins to show up in the menu.

Post the wallpaper and I'll make a theme for it. Also, if you're sure you're putting the files into the right folder, make sure you're refreshing rainlender/meter or else it won't show up.

Simplex thanks for the help. For anyone else who has trouble with it, make sure you download a new version of Rainmeter. I think the one that is linked in the forums is for 0.12.0 but you need atleast 0.13.0 or higher for it to work.

I don't know if you have Blackbox, but if you don't, go here (http://bb4win.sourceforge.net/bblean/). Then after you have blackbox set up, put the theme file into the styles folder. After that, while you have blackbox running, get into the right click menu and move the cursor to styles>Ren and click it. The colors should show up. Then all you have to do is set the wallpaper as the background.

Also, if you didn't already, you're gonna have to install the font files for the theme. It's in the Blackbox link called "artwiz fontpack". Since Blackbox has a lot of things on it, you can go here (http://pitkon.deviantart.com/journal/3647326/), here (http://pitkon.deviantart.com/journal/3806695/), and here (http://pitkon.deviantart.com/journal/3898173/) to read more about it, such as plugins.

I'll PM you the file, the file is not big at all. Blackbox isn't a large file either, it's only a couple of MBs.

anyways the skin u talkt about with the rainmeter or w/e i cant seem to find it in the folder :/ but the only thing i want to, is to get the Day's a bit bigger, and the disk space left on my hdds to show up.

if that woude happen i woude happy ^^ im happy enough already for ur work on the skin so im very grateful :D

Your thinking too much.. it's much simpler then that..
Basicly I took a Wallpaper that doesn't fit at my normal resolution.. placed some graphical elements on it.. created a completely transparent icon.. gave it (the .ico) to all the icons on my desktop so they all look like they're just text.. all done..

It's really basic stuff.. I just made it like that to make the desktop less clutered..

It's simple.. you can try it if you want..

It's the font files. The skins for rainmeter can't find the font files for it, so it's using a default one. Rainlender just doesn't look like the right skin. The "to do" list is different. Take a screenshot of the folder you installed the skins. You can just PM me the SS and I'll take a look into it.

Updated. Decided to go with a Vista-like theme just to show that it doesn't require a whole new OS to get the visual style. A simple skin for WinXP is enough.

Also, the skin isn't the main focus.. there are lots of little things.. like fadding everywhere (when you close a window it fades in when you close a maximized window it tilts to the right and fades in while moving down slightly.. or when you click alt tab (the normal one not the 3d flip thing) you get a preview and if the image was moving (like for example in a movie or an install) you actually see it real time..

But the skin/style isn't the focus.. there are lots of tweeks everywhere.. and little things added here and there.. (Vista is defenetly lots more secure then Xp, and it's a lot easier to do things like encript files set read/write permissions etcetera..)

As for the system req, the 512ram (minimum) is bs, I know it's on ms's homepage.. but it's bs, you can run Vista with less, if you use the normal skin (and not Aero) it will run just like Xp..

You don't need to bash Vista, since it's an ms product, if someone says that Vista will permenatly lock your bios it automaticly turns in a rumor.. and there are more then enough anti-vista rumors out there..

Whenever a wallpaper is too big for my resolution or too small (or just doesn't have the right proportions to fit in my resolution) I usually solve the problem by either croping it in or out. When I crop it out, I'll usually add little stuff to make it fit.. but that's not always the case.. sometimes it just fits good with everything else that I just leave it like that.. for example.. my current wallpaper on Xp

Do you mean the gadget-bar? (the one with the clock, RSS-feed thingy, callander.. etcetera)
If so then yes it's transparent.. When it's not in focus it fades to a form where it has a little shadow on the right side.. actually more like a thick dark margin faiding in) You can set the transparency for all the gadgets (by fixed numbers 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100%)

Anyway, that's the Aero skin, all the elements are transparent (start bar, windows etcetera).. actually it's a wieard form of transparency.. it blurs the content behind it and allso has some kind of transparrent middle-ground consisting of what appears to be several diagonal 70px lines (which have transparency from right to left). there's also a feathered black border on the outside..

Failure. Neither of those are F-14s. The one in the front is an F-4 Phantom, and the one in the back is a Russian MiG of some sort (not sure which one off the top of my head).

EDIT: A quick Wikipedia shows it's a MiG-21, which is appropriate. These two aircraft were contemporaries in the 60s, both saw heavy action in Vietnam.

That be the F4 Phantom .F14 is the Tomcat, used most famously in the Top Gun movie :) The aircraft in the background is a Russian Mig BTW, can't remember the designation though, been a long time (14 years or so) since I was into aircraft at all.

Try re-applying the theme and updating your drivers. I'm pretty sure you just have old vid.card drivers in use, especially if the graphics are corrupted on other skins too (e.g: A Touch of Glass, DogmaX4).

I have the most recent update for my vid. Card.
I just think that WB hates my comp. It's always done this. But every other program with transparency works perfectly without fault.

It doesn't "hate" it without a reason, so obviously there has to be something screwing up with it. For example, you may have some other desktop enchaments that interact with transparency, such the the nVidia desktop or ATI's equivelant. Try shutting down all the background tasks and then re-applying the theme again. Also read the FAQ of WindowBlinds for help and ensuring you have service pack 2 for WinXP.
