ChibiDusk i have to rate your desktop,
i cant get how littlle icons you have on your desktops,... my is as dirty as my desk.

Chibidusk's desktop motivated me to clean up mine (http://bocy.free-host.com/mydesktop800p.txt), basically I threw all the shortcuts into a toolbar (and changed the wallpaper).

Take a screen shot/capture and save it as a nicely compressed JPG.
View your desktop as you want us to see it.
Press the "Print-Screen" (PrtSc or SysRq button) on your keyboard.
Paste the contents of the clipboard into a paint/art program and save the image as a JPG
Upload it somewhere... like Uploadit.org (http://www.uploadit.org).
Details of how to upload can be found on the site I linked to above...
Post the a link/url to the file (as provided by Step 2) or if you must post it as an inline image.

turns out that the cgs are scattered in my hd. I could find them all if I want but that would require something of a total cleanup of my 200gb+ hds, which is what I had been trying to avoid.

Games arn't THAT expensive, if you are a kid then sure but if you work then no. Also if you note some of then are rather old (tacital ops is a mod for UT, Haegemonia is from last year, Syberia etc) and others are free (Gunbound). If you just spread out the cost over time a bit then you shouldn't have any problems. It also depends on what you decide to spend your money on, I don't drink or smoke and I live in a small apartment. That means I don't have that many expensives, instead I spend my money on anime, manga and computer stuff (hardware and software).

I've managed to get hold of some scanned CD inserts from the Baten Kaitos OST, so I decided to edit one of the scans and put it as my desktop wallpaper. I also cleaned up the desktop from all the shortcut icons I had and put them on a nice & hidden toolbar.

OK this is just about on topic (and could be considered as Spam) but for those of you who have been following my earlier efforts in this topic I have an update for my site. I have just put the "Winter edition" Afternoon magazine wallpapers online for your perusal.

I would just like to say that its taken me 3 days to upload the JPGs to the site so a resounding

"DAMN YOU FREE-HOST.COM FOR YOUR POXY BANDWIDTH LIMITATIONS!!!!!!!"

A couple of words of warning, the "Winter" edition wallpapers are fairly ecchi (more so than the others). You would think that being "Winter" the characters might have put more clothes on (than say their Summer swimsuits) but such is the logic of the "mangaverse".... :rolleyes: :heh:

Also the LucuLucu, Mokke and Magorobo wallpapers won't be up until 6:00pm GMT as the copies I burnt to disk and have been trying to upload from work :heh: seem to be sitting on a write error. I'll upload these as soon as I can. :)

There wasn't a new Narutaru wallpaper :( but there are representations from some fairly well known series there including:

Glad you liked them, I'm trying to upload the last 3 images now from home, unfortunately the server keeps timing out (again) even though I have DSL, looks like I might have to try tomorrow morning (UK time) when America has gone to sleep..... :)

Update - OK I've just spent over an hour trying to upload only a 309Kb image, with about 20 server timeouts. So before I begin cursing again I'm gonna try tomorrow morning - sorry until then the previously mentioned 3 Wallpapers will not be available. :(

That wallpaper is from a game called "Kao no nai Tsuki" ( ????? ), translated as Moonlight Lady made by ROOT. (There is an anime series from that game too, but I'm not too sure though.. )

The game you mentioned is called Watashini Konya Ainikite ( ?????????? ) Translated as "Come see me Tonight" , made by Sekilala (<-- lame name ^^; )

They are two different games.

I'm not sure, but it doesn't look like it would work w/ this forum, since I had to copy/paste the link to get to work. About the desktop, that's some uh use of photoshop there :p, the desktop is pretty cluttered.

Well the official site I got it from appears down so I was trying to dig the
original file out of my hard drive for you ;p : mayura_v205.zip (http://www.albany.edu/~ln114311/mayura_v205.zip)

My own version doesn't have much of that original left, though. It uses a
completely different script (with an ecchi orientation ^^), the size reduced
mayura addon's graphics seen above for normal stuff, and modified graphics from
the animation and dress up/down mayura addons' for the h part of the script.

You might be better off googling for "何か Wiz まゆら" or maybe just "ゴースト まゆら"
and going through the results. Anyway, in case you haven't played with these
things before the engine SSP/Materia/etc is available here:

Definitely try the dress up addon if you find it (the addons are done by other
people). The nekomimi outfit is so cute, hehehe.

It was ok considering it was my first dating game. It was kind of boring at times because there wasn't very much interaction going on since all you do was just click and read text. The story was not so good either, but the ecchi was nice...artistically speaking of course. :heh:

Well, you can have the best of both worlds here, a thumbnail for the 56k'rs and a large version for those who like it big and clean (particularly the males who might break out in a sweat at some Tsukihime goodness ;) ) . Yes, it's a desktop from hell (though it might not look it) , especially since my language bar has mysteriously disappeared and cannot be recovered for love nor money. Bloody M$... :frustrated:

Hey Vicious... you know your start menu.... was is it a registry editing program that allowed you to change the name of "start"? cuz someone at my college played a prank and did that to a few computers in a couple classrooms... but he changed it to more profane stuff and he also changed a lot of other stuff too... I thought it was hilarious... like everything under the File menu would say "Format C:".... it was funny...

I'm curious... what is the program's name?

lol it's not that, Prince-san.

I'm Brazilian, you know. So my Windows is all translated into portuguese :D "Start" is "Iniciar" in portugues, that's why it's different :D You can cleraly see the icons written in portuguese too ;)

I was so curious as to where most of you found those dope pictures and wallpapers.... but I checked around the thread and there were only some links posted... so I checked around and found some torrents of wallpapers.... i had no idea what "bishi" meant.... but I ended up dl'ing all the volumes released so far anyways... there were some really nice wallpapers in those volumes... :D ya'll should check it..... !

Indeed, it has a large quantity of wallpapers and very high quality ones. It was a pain sorting through all the 500 jpegs though.

Depends on picture, depends on perception of image, depends on eyesight :P - but, since it's only a topic to 'show' the desktop. I don't think it matters too much. If you want the wallpaper, it's usually only a PM away.... usually.
