Yes, you may have a copy. :) Lemme just let you know that in my wallpaper I changed the picture around a bit. I flipped it cuz I keep my icons on the left and removed the logo on the bottom cuz it would be backwards. So, anyway, I'm putting up both versions in case you like her on the right, like me, take what you like better.

Internet Explorer? I guess you can afford to get viruses, too!

Photoshop CS is the time restricted trial, I've got the previous version free of charge from my College. Dreamweaver MX 2004 was also given to me by my College for the simple fact at one point in the future we'll be using it. I'm not complaining, they give me free stuff. :D

As for Internet Explorer, this system is well patched so I don't really care about the usual snide comments regarding viruses. Any system or browser is generally exploitable if you don't keep it up to date. I don't generally use it however, I recently reformatted this PC due to a screw-up on my part. Firebird is my browser of choice.

Added Note: I actually bought PS6 and Dreamweaver 4 with my own money. :P

...just made me want to post my desktop:

I'm a KDE user and a minimalist, and yes that works.
I usually have both the bars retracted.
I also disabled desktop icons since I don't like them.
The desktop is set to show me a custom menu on right-clicking.

I don't want to continue the Holy War here, but, I prefer KDE over GNOME anytime.
OS X is probably the best in eye candy though.

easy enough. After you prt scr, open up your friendly "Paint" which can be located in Programs ----> Accesories ---> Paint.

Now goto edit, press paste. Then you goto save as... then you can type in a name for the file and right under that, the type of file. I suggest jpeg... it's the smallest file size wise without too much loss of quality.

here is my new desktop on my new laptop. i made an exporer.exe replacement and it is still in the beta stages. it is like linux in that it is mainly command line based but i added some shortcuts and stuff.

just a black screen with an animated gif going
my favorite two gifs are the laughing man and mahoro...i had a kenshin one going at one point, but it didnt fit in as well
that mahoro one i just made not too long ago and it still needs a bit of touchup...

Theres three different modes, one is big that has speakers coming out the sides that beat with music, another is really small like a purse I guess you can say and the other makes it a tope menu bar with windows that slide down when you press them, thats the one I use. Keeps it clutter free and whatnot I think.

I did a little search (I know how we newbies have a tendancy to repost things that have been gone over several hundred times ;)) and didn't come up with anything, and this thread is ajust a little long to read from start to finish, so I assume nobody has mentioned anything about an auto desktop wallpaper changer? My Desktop is set to change every 15 minutes by itself so I no longer spend ages mulling over which image to use, I just bundle all my favorites in and use them all. (usually when I finish a series 5-10 more get added to the list)

As for themes, I still haven't gotten around to getting a new one since the Eva one I have on my second (read, old and still on *shudder* win 98 because I haven't cleaned it out yet) computer though.

arkzein actually there was one mentioned a few pages back by lovewitch which was posted like december last year or something anyways, but it was an FFX-2 one which had links to other ones....I rather disliked that program. the themes weren't to my liking although I did keep the sounds so my desktop sounds like FF menus and when I clear the recycle bin it make a chocobo sound ;p but yea thx for mentioning.

Since we are on the subject, I use the Nuon Soft Wallpaper Cycler (http://www.nuonsoft.com/wallpapercycler/). It is 100% free (not even a begscreen), easy to use and it is loaded with features. Do I need a better reason to use it? Here are just a few of it's features:
Add categories which contain similar wallpapers.
Categories can have time constraints. So a certain category can be set up to be used only during winter, or in the morning, or during working hours...
When importing images recursively: automatically create categories based on folder names.
Easily find duplicate images and delete them.
Support for the following kinds of wallpapers: Bitmaps, JPG's, GIF's (animated or not), HTML's
Preview bitmaps and JPG's full screen.
The delay between two wallpapers can be up to 24 days 20 hours 31 minutes 23 seconds.
Cycling can happen with a specified delay or at specific times or both.
Shuffle during cycling: Wallpaper Cycler includes an advanced random choice algorithm which ensures that you will see all wallpapers in the list. (Only unchosen wallpapers are chosen, until all wallpapers are seen. Then it repeats them all.)
Three different 'Tiling Settings' (can be set for each wallpaper separately): Center, Tile, Stretch
Adjust the color of the background for each wallpaper separately.
Drag and Drop support.
Automatically launch Wallpaper Cycler during Windows-startup.
Automatically start cycling when Wallpaper Cycler is booted.
Ability to change the wallpaper once, at Windows logon.
Optionally play a sound each time the wallpaper is changed.
Shell integration allows you to add more wallpapers to your wallpaper list straight from Windows Explorer.
Double click on the system tray icon to quickly cycle to the next wallpaper (this is disabled by default).

I keep mine as organized as possible. It looks so messy with a background so I
just keep it a solid color. Everything I need on desktop:

Photo/Video: Photoshop, Imageready, Premiere and Paintshop pro [plus tools
such as vdub and dvd2avi] that I use for chibiworkshop [sig and ava making], creating
AMVs [animemusicvideos], and subbing anime.

Game Creating: RPG Maker 2003 along with various tools to create resources for the games I make.

P2P programs: mainly KaZaA lite, used for music, and really only music.

FTP programs: For uploading and editing my websites, and for download anime from friend's ftps

Office Programs: for various reasons, mostly for school projects

Media Players: What else? For playing anime and music :)

Removal Programs: gotta get rid of that ad-ware and those nasty viruses

EVVVVVVERYTHING I need :)
