Hey thanks a bunch, I found the Winamp skin off a site that I can't currently remember, but I can e-mail it to you if you'd like? The Win XP skin isn't special, in fact it's one of the regular options of colors you can choose! I'm pretty good with Fruity Loops, but just in case I needed any help it's good to know who to ask. Haven't changed the desktop yet, but when I do I'll post. Does anyone have any good Princess Tutu or Kimi Ga Nozumo Eien wallpapers?

FLCL is one the best anime ever produced, and will continue to hold it's throne 'till the end of time. My sig is a scan from the manga (which I bought) I just cut some off of the left side to make it look pretty. I think people should start posting the links of their wallpapers, along with the main site they got it off of 'cuz it'll save posts. It's hard to keep up with where the links are, so it's just easier that way. Ugh, that desktop I posted from school didn't actually look like that, somehow it got messed up, but oh well.

Although NoSanninWa asked us not to tell you how... I think I will... because well, I'm a misleading nice bad guy.

First you press the Prt Scr button... then you take your car or a bus to the chinese market... take the first right next to the big fat chinaman.

Then when you come to a dead end yell out the password which is "I hate those stupid chinks". A doorway will open... take that path down... get past the minotaur by answering his 3 riddles and buy a Goat from a man named William Chung.

Bring the goat home, sacrifice the goat infront of the computer and spray its warm blood on your keyboard. Presto, your desktop is saved.

Oh, the goat has to be a virgin... so no funny ideas...

So I guess I'll tell you : You need to press the button Imprim Screen System (or something like that) which should be next to F12 button.
Then you go to adobe photoshop (or any other program like this one) and start a new file and you press Ctr V : tada, here you go :)

Mine used to look not so different from yours, then my friend converted me. I have pretty much all my shortcuts in the quicklaunch.

What operating system is your school using? At my school, we use Windows XP and are not allowed to change the wallpaper either. However, it may be possible to get around this through some coding (it worked at my school, and I now have a non-regulation Geneshaft wallpaper :) )

Heh, I didn't stretch my wallpaper, my screen res is 1600x900. It just works best with my monitor (widescreen 19 inch). Strange monitor I got for my birthday a couple years ago. Wow, thanks for all those links! For now, I have decided to go with the chibi stellvia wallpaper. (It's light hearted and not to provocative.. so I will actually be able to work lol ;) ). I just coloured the background dark blue and removed the words cause it's too bright for me.. hurts the eyes lol.

The above code is Visual Basic.. It may be possible to use this code in Visual Basic for Applications (Built into MS Office, Word, PowerPoint, etc).

Just pass the file name to this program and it should set it as your background. I use it, and it works.

In my case, I stuck a short cut to this in my profile's startup directory so it is re-run every time I login.

Your network may be setup differently than ours, so I'm not sure how it will work out, but it's worth at shot :) Just don't tell the administrator that I did this :) lol

Basically what this program does is it directly access the Windows API (application programmers interface) and runs the function that the Windows Display Properties dialog would probably use to change the wallpaper. However, only access to the Display Properties dialog is locked.. (at least in my case) so if I tell Windows to change the wallpaper directly (by accessing the Windows API), it does it.

Yup. War of Genesis 3 and 3 part 2. They're some of the best I've played. Amazing storyline, awesome characters... good music... plain goodness =D I really hope it gets translated so more people can play it.

Alternately you can use the vBulletin Style. At the bottom of the page (at the left) is a pull-down list. Choose "vbulletin Style" and every post on the page will always be normal sized except for the individul post that is too large. It is the only sane way to view this thread.

Some people might choose to use the spoiler tag, but there is no way to convince everyone to do so, so you should be the one to fix your own problem. It is certainly easy enough.

I'm using Windows XP with BBlean

and as for the thumbnail, I just made a smaller version of the image and used a linked image tag (http://forums.animesuki.com/misc.php?do=bbcode#imgcode)

I use BBlean to replace the Windows XP shell. And Samurize I use for the weather at the top right and the window at the bottom right that shows my download speeds, cpu usage, and ip number. And if I got winamp running the Samurize will show a scrolling title for the song along with the track position and album art above that volume slider at the bottom left. Oh, and i also use Objectdock.

Agreed. Yukirin is my favorite artist on that site. If you look up Natsukage, you get a rather nice wallpaper, too.

@ JOJO - Arh... I knew where it was from a minute ago ..... damn I need to eat.... cant think..... Anyways you dont need to get the 2.x version to have the old style skins now. The winamp you see in my desktop is actaully the newest version. Winamp5 takes both new modern skins as well as the old 2.x skins. With Winamp5 just get what ever skin you want, put it in the folder, and switch it and youre good to go ^_^.

Yeah yeah, I fixed the typo, plus I reduced the "fill" so it blends in with the darkness more.
