December Holidays

I'm going back home (which is 9272 miles or 14922 km away) for the December semester break. I'm leaving in a month or so and will be back home for 3 weeks. It will be good to see family and friends again, but I will also miss my broadband connection here in the U.S. I certainly will miss visiting the forum and the Animesuki IRC channel too since I only have dial-up back home. :(

Anyway, what are your holiday plans? Are you going back home (if you're away from home), staying where you are, or even going someplace else for a vacation? :)

Hmmmmm I wanna go back home for the holidays and see my family and friends but I probably won't be able to this year. My mom wants me to come over in the summer time anyways to visit since there are more things to do when its warm.

This year... I'm going to do all my shopping in November... I get road rage during the holidays when everyone is doing their Christmas shopping last minute. And you literally get ran over here at the malls... people will step on your feet, run into you, steal the last toy on the shelf which happens to be the same exact one you were going after... people get pretty vicious here around December so I'm going to try to stay out of it. Probably gonna spend some time with some family (grandma) towards the beginning to middle of December and I think I'm gonna go run off to Canada and hide away from everyone during Christmas time. Just relax at some hotel and soak in their hot tub and treat myself to a nice dinner or something.

Hmmmm my present to myself this year is HALO and I'm going to get a Gameboy Advance SP :p

Unofrtunately I have 3 pieces of coursework that are supposed to be in before Christmas. So, most likely, I'll end up not doing anything til last minute and be finishing them off in the holidays.
They're all essays, about 2500-3000 words, which isn't a problem. All the research and analytical work is, however x_x
I'll make sure to reserve plently of time for shopping and admiring presents, though ;D!! But I have to work on 27th Dec, when the big sales start. Gunna die, it'll be so busy ;-;

playing my Gamecube (which i will buy in december.. haha)
reading Uncle Tom's Cabin. (might have to do a report on it too...)
i attend church every sunday, but im sure im gonna have to go on xmas day too.

haha no no no. My dad wants me to join the marines and he's really enthusiastic about military things. Im in the US illegally actually. (dont ask me how i did it) So once i leave the US, i cant come back to it. Im waiting for a green-card. CA is about to vote for "give good students green-card" campaign. Since im one of those honor students, if that propsition passes i can get a green-card and passport.
Yup, dont call immigration on me please~ Although id love it in Korea, it'll be hard for me to catch up in the language. Id have to memorize hanmun (the korean kanji) and catch up on the langauge. Im fluent, but not near the 11th grade level. PLus math is a killer over there. and school on saturday... yea pretty bad huh?

National service sucks in Korea right now. HARSH HARSH training, and the fear of N. KOrea invading is huge. Imagine the most efficent army in Asia, and the 4th largest just rushing into a rather weak, DENSLY populated country. S. Korea is stronger than japan and most other countries, but against N. Korea its not so great. But my dad is one of those crazy ppl thats like "I had to climb a 8 km mountain on my knees and elbows" (actual training in korean military)

If you avoid NS, ure a pussy. Its harsh, but seriously come on! As many Korean War vets would say, "Just cuz japan has no army and is backed up by US doesnt mean we have to become soft."
